Madeleine Monat: Useless! They will not accept my PW and will not allow me to change it! I am calling on Monday and demanding paper bills in the mail. I am paid up thru Jan. I wasted time this AM just trying to change the damn PW all to no avail. I just got a flash message as I type this stating “We are here when you need us!” Of course they are not! Very bad joke ! They can be proud to be the only bill I pay using PONY EXPRESS! They are rated overall 2 STARS! PATHETIC INDEED!
Emmy: We were told our info was not received through an error message on their website, but it did, and we were charged for a service that we never used or were aware of. This results in an outstanding unpaid bill that is harmful to our credit. Who ever answered our phone call was so poor at their skills in customer service that we, as the customer, felt it was our job to find a solution and then felt like we had to end the call due to lack of willingness to help, let alone perhaps do the job they're paid to do. And we're still unsure if they'll ever fix the problems. I thought this company just had minimal reviews and that's why they had 1.6 stars. Turns out they deserve it.

I started off as a representative went to a coordinator and then went to corporate.I just called customer service for eversource gas and I asked for them to take my last 12 months of bills and just divide by 12 for a guesstimation not to be held as a permanent budget so I can get an idea of what it would cost.I'm also a customer service consultant in billing consultant now and I have this philosophy"If it doesn't make sense then it's not logical it's not true or really should not be true"To be told by somebody on the front line in billing that they could not look and see my past history of billing is an erroneous oversight I would hope and oversight of the company.If a representative told me that without explaining that they didn't overhaul from Columbia gas to eversource I would know they were lying to me and doing what I do for major corporations with secret calls I would determine whether they were an asset or a liability to the company.This practice of a customer service representative not being able to access my past history for 12 months though I could if I went back to all my own bills and did it manually is definitely not an asset to this company

Kelly Darkson: Worst electric company ever. Their bills make absolutely no sense. Our last bill was close to $700... who can afford this!? Called customer service to investigate and I was put on hold forever. They came here 2 months ago to change our meter, now we're being charged 3x more than we were before. Not to mention we just got a brand new AC unit that is more efficient, there is no way we should be paying MORE. Eversource scams their customers and unfortunately there is no way we can live without electricity, so we are screwed no matter what.

Angela O'Brien: Soo ... in order to receive our gas and electric, we have to PAY Eversource to DELIVER it?!? It's more than my actual bill!! I've lived in a lot of states (military family) but I've never, EVER, had to pay an additional company to get electric/gas. This entire process has made my home buying experience and LIVING here a huge letdown.
Olivia Moshier: This is the WORST company. My electric bill is consistently $400. I sit in the dark half the time to try to keep bills lower. They charge $100 a month for a stupid distribution fee. They are absolute robbers. I would switch if I could have another provider, but it's the only one offered where I live.

Cynthia Hibbs-Hussain: Just about had a heart attack when I got my first bill. Moved to Springfield when I really had little choice because of rent increases that are obscene. Now I get a 648.00 electric bill! For less than one month! Your heat is too high. No we do not offer energy assessments, no there is no budget plan until you have service one year. Ask your landlord to check the heaters. Oh yes we can credit you for 115 watts useage. Pay us when you get your new bill. No yelling on my part no help for real on theirs.No phone number for an energy assessment. No helpful arrangement to pay the bill. Wow just wow. Guess that I will not be living in this area too long.useage 248.00. Delivery: 359.00 and assorted taxes and fees. Where is this electricity coming from? Bad joke on us. More than 1/4 of my monthly income and I cannot get any help.We have it figured out despite my landlords refusal to have anything looked at and finding a thermostat with a jerry rigged knob on it that works backwards. I thought I had it set at 60 bad joke on me. Smh.Fighting back by making as many changes as possible. Estimate savings of at least 300 a month. Just sad so many folks are paying these outrageous prices. We will see how this goes.
jarrod hurteau: good luck trying to get a hold of someone to help you with gas. I've lived in 3 different states over the past 8 years and this has to be the WORST gas/electric company I've ever had to deal with. And that includes PG&E... ya know? the Power company that gave an entire town cancer? Yeah. worse than that one.

Also now through eversource my bill has almost tripled! Hate that we have no other options to choose from so we’re stuck paying this horrible company.should be criminal to charge this much!

Samantha Woytowicz: Our customer service was great so they do have good people working for them. The company its self has basically monopolized massachusetts except for a few towns, they officially also own our Gas provider. Columbia Gas is now eversourse. They have the highest rates because they can. People have no other choice and thats why they basically rob people on service charges and rates. It's really sad. We are moving from Chicopee so I'm use to fair bills. Moving back to a town that has eversourse is dreadful but we love our house, so we are doing it anyway. Eversourse is the only thing we hate about our new home lol.
B Redfern: Just a heads up, there is a marked tree on Locust St in West Springfield that is ready to fall. About the only reason it has not fallen yet if the branch of another tree it is leaning on. I have attached pictures. Also a power pole on the same St looks like it was places in the 1800's, I have attached a picture of the pole as well.
Zaria and jayden: Sabrina in the Resolution team department on Dec. 21 2020 was the only person that helped me after more then 7 calls. She is the best and it mean the BEST. My electric was on in a hour.. After several calls and several reps I can't believe the way I was treated or talked too before I connected to the Resolution dept. I hope my call was recorded. Sabrina needs to be a trainer or Supervisor because of her professional and caring demeanor.. She understand my situation. She was compassion, caring, and understanding.During the time of Covid pandemic people with her empathy is greatly needed.Sabrina went above and beyond to help me and my kids during the winter. Thank you for having a representative like.

Brenda H.: I have never had an issue with CEL but then again I pay my bills on time. I prioritize what I need for the month and pay those bills first. My rent, utilities, gas, etc. I also keep receipts. It's up to me to make sure my family is taken care of and I have gotten 2 jobs if necessary to pay my bills. I don't expect handouts and cut back on things that run more electricity than I can afford. Luxuries are not necessities. My cable, internet and phone are last to be paid, like they should be. Nobody gets anything free. If YOU ran the business, you'd want to be paid monthly, too. If you think CEL is expensive, check other cities.

Shut of power on a stage four cancer patient didnt follow their own protocal or mass law, refused to rectify situation then shaked him down for 50$ reconnection fee when they shouldn't nhave turned it off in first place. Claimed he talked to them (he has no voice box) really evil people.

heather colkos: The line workers are wonderful. They have been working out in the cold all week replacing and upgrading the wiring on my Street. They were very friendly and waved and said hello to my children that were watching. They even offered to wait until my Christmas baking was done to switch the power off to change out my lines. I’ve never had an issue with CELD in 8 years owing this home but these guys were worth coming on for a rating. Keep up the good work!!

Omayra Farmer: Great place to learn how to conserve electric energy. Hard working crew members who are fast when a crisis such as Natural crisis happens in our Area. I'll never forget October 31st 2011 (NO Halloween tricker treaters)the horrible Ice/ Snow Storm that affected many in Chicopee and surrounding towns. My family and I had to stay with my kind Sister for four days due to no Heat or lights & my husband caught the the Flu trying to stay home in below 0* temperatures with no Heat or electricity, stressful time, thank God for family and the electric company that fixed the broken power lines as promptly as possible.

They do run business not charitable organization and if you do not pay your bill for 60 days the electricity will be shut down. Turning it back on is also straightforward, pay your past bill
John Kaplan: I'm on disability for two years now and extremely limited income. Living in Chicopee for just over two years now and have electric heat!! The worst in the world! Sometimes I can't pay all my bill at once so now for the past year it's been trying to beat the disconnect date! My bills have all been under $100 dollars or so. Last Mon they were gonna disconnect me for a bill of $37.78!! I never say nice stuff about this place to others cause they can't believe it! It also shows on the terrible ratings this place receives, no surprise!!!!! They should get 0 stars!!

Never got a notification of past due fees, never an email or a letter. Just coming home to a dark house.I'm glad I'm leaving Massachusetts soon so this garbage excuse for a service provider never gets another red cent out of me.

flight engineer: heres what you do when a bill is in your mail box, no mattert what bill it is. if you can visit the company you owe money to, visit and pay asap. or send a good check that is usually has record on your bank statement of being paid....... or pay online, but... this online stuff puts somebody out of a job. the best excuse is NO excuse.
Heather Charvis: I always go in to the facility to pay my bill with cash. I received a bill saying I had a past due amount. I went in to the electric company and I inquired about the bill. I was told there wasn't a payment made since December and it's now March. I tild them there's no way. And I was told to bring the receipt that I cannot find. I must have thrown it away. Unbelievable...
