Judy D: Excellent install and customer service. Matt went the extra mile to insure the remote on the stove was operating correctly with a house call a month after installing the unit. We love our new gas insert and the ambiance and warmth it provides.

Ted Ferry: Purchased 2 stoves, first one 20 years ago for the living room, 2nd is around 17 years and used in the kitchen. Both were installed by them and have had no trouble with either one. Carry a good line of parts and if they do not have the part theywill drop ship to your home if needed.
Robert: I really hate to do this but I think people need to know before they buy from this company what their requirements are. I own a large home-improvement company And I am not allowed to take full payment in advance, by state law. Everything we do is completely custom. This company demands full payment before they’ll do anything. When I asked why I was shut down immediately. Sorry about this but people should know in advance and why. I can Understand asking for payment in full for the appliance itself but The installation puts it into a different category. I wish them the best.

I had a propane stove installed in a hilltown house and the OHH&P staff were really great; on time, kept in communication, etc. One of the stove pieces arrived damaged and they put in the claim to the manufacturer immediately and had it replaced very quickly. They kept in communication for that too. Excellent service (which is hard to find these days), and genuinely nice people. A pleasure to to business with them. I had a much less positive experience with a local competitor and would only recommend OHH&P to my friends and family.

Cape Cod: Their patio furniture is just about 100-110% marked up. Their Adirondack chairs can be bought at Costco in a variety of colors as well for $149.99 and are even much better quality. Olde Hadley’s price is $399.99 each. I definitely support shopping local and small businesses but this place is insanely priced!!!

The installation crew was friendly and professional!After using the unit for a short time we realized it was undersized for the space.We had a follow up appointment within a few days to look the product over and within a few weeks had a new larger unit installed perfectly again.Can’t say enough about the service at every level!You get what you pay for! Robbie Gossman: I chose the external face to match the internal set up on a gas insert. They installed something completely different which now does not match and said it was because the manufacturer had discontinued what I picked but never let me know until weeks after. So they just installed whatever they wanted and I work nights but harassed me with phone calls everyone morning to get paid on something I didn’t even pick out.Truly disappointed in communication and lack of professionalism and would never recommend or return completely shocked this was done
R Shawn Killin: Company does not honor their return policy as stated on their sales slip. We purchased a vented gas log set. We were told by the sales person that the logs were in-stock and would probably be received within about 3 days. There was no mention of our sale being considered a "Special" or "Custom" order, and it certainly wasn't marked on the sales order. Long story short - the logs won't work in our fireplace. Nothing will be a direct-vented insert due to problems with the flue. We asked for a refund because we don't have another $3,000-4,000 to spend at this moment. Back of the sales slip says Returns in within 30 days - of which our request was made. It says No Returns for Custom orders. There was nothing custom about it. We receive word from Matt - because Carla didn't return several calls - that they would not accept the return; they don't sell used gas products; that it was a special order. I reiterated their policy on the sales slip... they don't care.

Nate Lepage: Best place around for high-quality pellets! Highly suggest the Vermont pellets.
Ted Shagory: We bought a stove from them 3 years ago. It is out of warrantee. The arctic -20 cold snap and the power outage caused the stove to fail. Parts for fix it were not available and this is the primary heating for my home. Here is the bottom line. When we spoke with the owner of Mckinney he went above and beyond to find a solution and did everything possible to get me back up and running. We could not have asked for better service. I would highly recommend them as a vendor.

Weston & Emerson's interest (Usmcjjs): Old time customer service, ethics and charm .I recently purchased parts to repair our ravelli Roma pellet stove from Mckenney through their website and received it in two days.We ordered some 3 month's ago directly from the manufacturer and have yet to receive them.On top of that I accidentally ordered 1 wrong part of the two.They noticed it prior to shipping, called me to confirm my model.Kindly reimbursed me so much that I felt as though I was talking to an old friend over a cup of coffee.And lastly the package came with a complimentary custom labeled chocolate bar.Top notch.

Chris Colfer: Just found my favorite new place for my pellets stove parts. I needed a new circuit board and ignitor for my pellet stove. I ordered online Saturday night and parts arrived Tuesday morning here in Pennsylvania. The parts were easy to find on their website, the correct parts were sent, and packaged well to prevent any damage from shipping. They were also the most competitively priced as well. Owning a small family business myself, I appreciate the care they put into the order and I enjoy working with them. Highly recommend!

Tonya Brathwaite: Went to visit the New Hartford store after seeing them on WFSB and they were very nice & knowledgable. I guess this was just a facade. They gave me a brochure for a wood burning fireplace insert I was going to purchase. I returned the fireplace measurement form they provided to them by email as they requested just after Thanksgiving 2022. I received no response. I then called them to see if they received the email and they acknowledge they did receive it and someone would get in touch with me. I requested that someone acknowledge receipt of the email and still no response. after a few weeks of waiting I decided to go elsewhere and was able to purchase the same product at a better price, no waiting and better customerr service. Now it is February 10 2022 and still no response. I understand you're busy due to everyone looking for other alternatives to heating but not responding to a potential customer is not acceptable. Your business lost my business due the lack of communication. If I could give you zero stars I would.
Cynthia Seitz: Both my husband Gene and I were very impressed from day one. We had been in search for a fireplace insert for a while, I was the tough one to please....then we found Dean's. Not only did they have the only style I liked, but they had our salesman Sean. He was so easy to work with, so knowledgeable and just pleasant everytime we walked in with "just one more question" and that was a lot!!! The installation was moved up 2 weeks which was great news and the installers were outstanding. Very impressive crew!!! We have already recommended your business to our family and friends.Keep up the good work "Dean's team" you all ROCK!!!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Timothy connecticut: Would give less than 1 star if there was that choice. Does not surprise me to see so many negative reviews from unhappy customers. I too have been down the path of Dean's pathetic stove & spa business. This guy is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Save yourself from the aggravation this place will most certainly cause you and go visit Blazing Hot Stoves in Oakville, Ct. Check out their reviews. Even spend some time on a phone call with the owner and you will be able to make a very clear decision.
Frank Morton: Zac at Dean's was great to deal with I don't think you will ever find someone so enthusiastic about stoves!! Even with my changes to venting and questions he was always willing to work with me to get what I wanted. Tony and the install team were quick and courteous, they showed up on time and had everything ready to go in about 2 hours.
Lou Perrotta: Deans stove and spa was great to work with especially Zach from the New Hartford store who helped us through the entire process getting our new gas fireplace installed. I would recommend them and also I think it’s easiest to use their contractors who are familiar with the installations. Our contractor did the framing and electrical but we had delays because he was not that familiar with our unit and we had to call Deans installers to assist and they did and everything after that was smooth sailing. We are very satisfied customers.

Bill: Absolutely the worst. I called them to service my gas fireplace. The tech came out at the beginning of Sept., said I needed a part. Another tech came back THREE weeks later, said I didn't need the part that was ordered, but that I needed a new valve instead, that was Sept. 23rd. It's now Oct. 29th, I've left 6 messages for the service department and haven't gotten a call back. They charged me for the service call, but I have not gotten any service. Don't do business with these people.
Monica Grezlik: Dean's Stove & Spa lacks professionalism. Called weeks ago, left voicemail during normal business hours to get pricing on stove cleaning and business never called back. You would think they would be eager to do business with you, especially since you purchased a wood stove from them in the first place. This is only 1 instance of poor customer service. Months ago we were scheduled for an install. Tech's vehicle broke down. No one called us, meanwhile we were sitting at home wasting our time waiting. Phones were down so we physically had to drive to business and in the end they had to reschedule our appointment anyway. We spoke with Supervisor Samantha and she was no help, simply kept apologizing saying she cannot do anything other than to reschedule our appointment that we had scheduled for weeks! In addition, techs just show up at door, do not give you time window for service calls nor do they call the day before to confirm your appointment. Real inconvenience for the customer. Jeff, one of the techs gave his personal phone number to contact him if we had questions. We contacted him and he simply ignored our calls/texts. What a joke this place is! To top it all off, our catalyst randomly fell down while we were burning wood. Real nice and fun! Business could not explain it and simply said 'could have been cracked during shipping.' Again, lack attention to detail and care. Will never do business here again. Please take this review as a warning, do yourself a favor, save your precious time and never give a dime of your hard working money to this place. Poor excuse for a business.

I had one recently cleaned and serviced for the season and called to have the second serviced and was told I was too late. and they wont do them after August even though I had the first serviced in September. They won't come out even though this is a charged service call. I'm really surprised at their lack of customer service
