All the guys were super cool about it and did it with smiles. My wife ended up giving a 20 tip to split amongst themselves. Samuel Wenninger: Ice cream is consistently high quality and well done (flavorful, creamy, sundaes are well made and mixed, etc.), being a mix between hard ice cream and soft serve (12-14% butterfat). The biggest downside here is pricing, as others have expressed. It will run you ~$10 pp here which is a premium over local shops where you can find more unique flavors and even higher quality. For a chain, and assuming price isn't a major factor, you can depend on Coldstone to provide consistent quality.Note: pictured is one of their new seasonal flavors, Brown Sugar, which was very flavorful and is worth trying. They let you sample whatever you'd like before ordering so definitely try some flavors before committing. Unfortunately this cannot be said of every ice cream place.

You purchase your cup from the convenience store right next door then walk into the frozen yogurt building and get your flavors and topping. The only plus is this place charges by the size and not the weight which almost every other frozen yogurt place does
Chelsea Gauthier: This place is disgusting. You walked through the door and your sticking to the floor like fly paper. They have all their toppings mixed together and they had trash all over the floor. Empty straw wrappers, food, old fruit, it was textbook filthy. Absolutely filthy.
Sofiya Babinov: Delicious froyo for a very affordable price! You buy cups at the convenience store next door (small $4, med $6, large $8) and fill up whatever froyo/toppings you want, as much as you want, no weight limit.

Allison Pena: I've been coming here every few months for the past 2 years and absolutely love the place. There are plenty of options to choose from in terms of toppings and they've added new flavors a few times. My only complaint is that there's never anyone manning the store, they're in the shop next door, and it concerns me what people could be doing in between them being there whether it be using their hands or simply stealing from the shop. They have a new security camera system that they show but I think it would be better to have someone be there at all times. That said, I still love the place and will continue to come here for all my froyo needs.

Lisa A: This will be the first and last time my family and I will go to Smokin Scoops. On Saturday, April 22 at 8:30, we received the worst customer service from the employee taking our order. The four of us, two kids, were trying to figure out what to get. It was very clear us taking our time to decipher the ice cream combinations was annoying to the employee. Then when we had a question, she had a face to stop a clock. I would hope will such different flavors and options your employees would be helpful to explain and give the customer time to choose. We did not feel this way- her attitude was terrible and we barely got an explanation on anything. Then once we ordered, she had to ask me three times about who was getting a cone or not. The kids even noticed it. But we stayed, got our order, and then realized she charged me for a crepe cone when I only asked for kiddie cones. This employee gives your small business a really bad name. The other girl working to make the ice cream orders looked very similar, not wanting to be there. We know it was before closing time. We get it that you don’t want too many people coming through the door at 8:30 when you close at 9:00. At least fake it. We will never return.

R3dimido Yo: I went for the first time to this location in west Springfield 2/3/2023. I took my wife and two kids because they really wanted ice cream and my experience in this place was horrible. I went there at 7:54 pm and after looking to see what we wanted Jill said we don't make waffle cones after 8pm and the attitude and the ignorance coming from these two employees was very uncomfortable. They were making fun of a previous customer right in front of us. Bad mouthing customers plus poor service is really bad for businesses. These two young ignorant employees don't know how to clearly do a good job for whoever owns this ice cream business that was an investment to obviously make money. I left that place and went to the one located at the basketball hall of Fame called cold stone creamery. We had a great time and the service there was above and beyond. Jill and the other employee clearly need to be properly trained in customer service and how to bring people back by giving great service. I went there for the first time and I will never go back. Anyone ready this review try the one in the basketball hall of Fame is 1000 times better.

We are from out of town and were in the area to take the kids to Six Flags.We arrived late at night and I googled desserts and this place popped up. They were open late and decided to give it a try. The employees working were very pleasant. We ordered a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of salted caramel. The girl put some caramel sauce on the bottom of the cup and a drizzle on the top of the ice cream. Both ice creams were very creamery and delicious. We also ordered a chocolate milkshake. That was also incredible. We ordered our Toppings on the side. The brownie bites were so rich and fudge. The homemade hot fudge is dark and decadent. The pb sauce was good too.Because we were in so late they were out of the cones and some Toppings. The inside and outside seating were clean.If we are ever in the area again we will be back!

Today's coconut tasted like cold nothing, kids enjoyed theirs, but their canoli and salted caramel were also pretty bland (my son found a single caramel ribbon at the bottom of his ice cream), both tasted like vanilla. What prompted this review, however, is their terrible customer service. The people behind the counter are generally unpleasant, but tonight while we waited, I witnessed another customer bring a valid concern/complaint with her order to their attention-- she was very kind and reasonable but they basically gaslit her and rudely refused to make her order right or give her a refund. She walked away clearly baffled-- I would have been really angry to spend $10+ on a drink i couldn't enjoy. I watched her throw it away. We won't be going back.

That is not the case here as it was way overpriced and was below average. I got a strawberry milkshake which was way too milky and not thick at all. The cashier told me it came with whipped cream and a cherry so I said yes. However, when I received my shake and it did not have either I asked the employee at the pickup window. The employee that gave me my shake told me it cost extra for whipped cream and a cherry. Usually I wouldn’t mind but that one shake was already $7.50 and much smaller than expected… quite a ripoff :( Would recommend JJ’s in Feeding Hills if you’re looking for ice cream

Lourdes Mercado: I usually go to eat ice cream but I went on Sunday with my husband for the second time and I won't go back. The price is more than the manecado, the nuts counted and there is never what one asks for. ask for large and they give it to you small, You ask for hard chocolate and they give you the soft one.....

Tim Moriarty: This is a soft serve ice cream place that is second to none. The sizes you get for the prices is unreal. The sad part is it's only seasonal for summer time.

Kuivo: ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS!! The store smelt like rotten milk, and we assumed it was just a trashcan, etc. After paying 18$ for three small soft serve (which is kinda steep) I received my rootbeer ice cream which was warm, glossy, and reeked. (Refer to photos) Never returning. Hope you're happy with our 18$ Sammi's!
Crystal Pares: Really delicious ice cream. Easy to follow menu and lots of choices. Service was quick and the staff were very pleasant. We will be going back soon.

You can see the overwhelming looks on the two young ladies serving. I enjoyed my ice cream 🍦 they should hire more help and have a manager there always.
damaris rivera: Everytime i come here they take forever and people who have ordered after me get there icecream before me they dont write orders down and when they mixed up my order they chased me down to my car after my mask was already off abd tried to give the icecream to the ither person it is covid season bot very covid friendly and very crowded people take there mask off and start eating there
alma silverman: I was excited to see Sammi’s reopen and even though the day was cold, decided not to wait to celebrate the springtime with soft serve. I ordered two small cones in dishes with cones on the side to take home. I was given the ice cream in uncovered dishes and handed the cones which had no paper around them by bare handed young women. Apparently not trained in food handling, in the best of times this would be unacceptable! I had tell them to put gloves on, cover the ice cream and give me fresh cones and please put it all in a bag. Turned off by the whole encounter, I couldn’t get myself to eat the cones and it put a damper on the ice cream which at $10.38 for two small cones is pricey. After going here for years, I will miss Sammi’s, but I value my family’s health.

Kendrick Ray: Hands down, I love your establishment. It's better for quality, quantity, hospitality and personality better than Cold Stone, Friendly's etc. My only complaint and why it's not a 5 ⭐ is because the staff doesn't wear the gloves provided to them while getting the waffle cones or serving the ice cream.

Ringo Eskez: Ice cream is good, but the girl scooping was on her phone before waiting on me, did not wash her hands and had a horrible attitude. I was the only person in the shop and while I looked at the board, she was huffing and puffing, acting like I was holding up a line of people behind me. I’m all set with that.
Matt P.: Really great ice cream with lots of variety. They also have things like fudge and make amazing milk shakes. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is kind of unfortunate -- it's just in a strip mall with a gas station, convenience store, and some other busineses - no outdoor seating and rather limited indoor seating. I'd love it if they took over a few spots in the parking lot and made a little patio with tables and umbrellas. Overall it is the best place around that I've found to get ice cream.
