Roadblock 103: This is my second new vehicle experience with Genesis of Northampton. Bill McHugh and Chris Shultz remain incredible assets to this dealership. I appreciate their relaxed process that allows a car buying experience to feel more friendly and patient than stereotypical car buying experiences. Bill is outstanding with being receptive to customer needs, and works hard to accommodate them. Just as last time, he kept me well informed about the process progression; this left me knowing that he was concerned and cared about me as more than a number. This care continued into my ownership experience, receiving friendly calls to find out if I had any concerns or questions that may have come up after the sale. Transparency of costs and figures were revealed openly, and Chris Shultz was receptive to my preferences and worked hard to make sure that I would be satisfied with my financing and options. Unlike typical F&I guys, Chris feels more like a financial advisor, seeking to walk me through what is advantageous to my specific scenario. I returned a number of times throughout the process of buying and the first few weeks of ownership with questions and I always felt that these two were interested in making me happy, not just before the sale, but well after it as well. Clearly, there is interest in creating lasting relationships and customer loyalty. Thanks guys.

When I bought the vehicle I was told they would come pick it up for service now when it’s time for the service Im told they will not. I’ve spoke with 2 different reps in the service department. The last one said she would call me back with an update. That was over a week ago. I call to speak with a manager and they send me to voicemail. Never mind the rudeness of the woman answering the phone. Extremely frustrating! I’m a business owner they want me to take 3 hours out of my day to get an oil change. Which I cannot do.

Ryan Walker: As the only Genesis Dealership in my location I have no choice but to have my car serviced at Genesis of Northampton. The person that usually pick up my car is always polite and the Mechanic was very nice and polite as well. However they never seem to get it right when it comes to my GV80. I was without a car twice in row even though I was very clear when I was making the appointment. Twice in row they never even wash my car (summer time). It’s as dirty as I gave it to them and part of the service agreement is that they would wash the car. I haven’t even received a copy of the receipt for service done to the car (I was told it would be emailed). Hopefully they will get it right in all areas next time. Third time might be a charm.

Mike Christy: Work needed related to service. Some basic improvements needed like returning calls when agreed to and follow up on agreed upon actions. Work also needed to distinguish the service experience between Hyundai and Genesis customers. Understanding this takes time and Genesis is still newer to Hyundai's overall line up. Having said that Genesis customers should not expect any above and beyond level of service like that received at an Infiniti or Lexus deal to distinguish from Nissan and Toyota. Its basically "Hyundai of Northampton...and we also sell Genesis".

Funny how responsive they are when buying from them, but once they have your car it's next to impossible to talk to anyone there. Very dissatisfied as I needed a car by Friday the 31st to get the car I wanted and now that can't happen because they won't give me the money that's owed. Unreal since they have the signed transfer of title and the car. Key take aways: Great car and price, but responsiveness doesn’t make it worth it. Takes forever to get any paper work done like previous reviews stated.Update: it’s now the 2nd of August and still nothing. Yet they have the car listed for sale on their website meaning they’ll make another customer wait to even buy the car. Makes 0 sense.

They gave me a much better sales experience and a much better deal than the Genesis dealer I went to first,The car was delivered to my house on schedule and they registered it for me.Overall, a great group to work with.

A Car: My own fault for continuing to go back there but…dropped my car off the evening before for a “7:30 am” oil change and inspection sticker appointment. Got a call at 12 with a price quote for another issue I had been having; essentially indicating the scheduled work hadn’t even been started yet. That was the one and only call I got that day, I had to call myself after 5pm that day to check and see if my car was ready; no one ever called to advise that it was. Once I got there to pick up my vehicle, the service advisor offered no summary of what was done, no recommendations etc. as they would normally do. Very poor customer service.
Jarred T: After a wheel alignment, damage was done to my fathers steering wheel watch out, they are aking advantage of the elderly, he had to fight with the owner over who did the damage. My father bought this car there and had it serviced every time until now. He won't be back because they want to take the side of there bad service Tech's. Can't trust these crooks even when your a loyal customer. I guess it might be ok if you stand with your car while it's serviced and record it for proof.

Even though I didn’t really like the feeling of the guy who made the deal with me. Veloster N is the best car in my opinion. And I think the salesman was the one who made me meet with my Veloster N. Danielle Monty: We have bought 4 cars at Gary Rome over the past year and while going into to sign paperwork for my son's car my husband brought my Palisade in for an inspection because it was due and thought he'd get the inspection done while he's doing the paperwork for the car.The Palisade passed inspection and as they were putting the sticker on they broke my windshield then told my husband there was already a chip there and they shouldn't have passed it. They admitted they made the crack worse but that it wasn't their fault it broke.There was no chip on the windshield and that was just the excuse we were given so Gary Rome wouldn't be responsible to replace the window. We will NEVER recommend Gary Rome to anyone for anything. Gary Rome should take responsibility and replace the window. I'm sorry my son is even buying a car there but he's been waiting since October for it to come in.

Nicole Marshall: My first experience buying a car from Lia Enfield vs. this most recent experience were night and day. This time I decided to finance with my own bank instead of the dealership, my mistake. The dealership went out of their way to ensure this was the most miserable experience. The finance manager was 'unavailable' to complete my paperwork and so it fell to my sales person. As a result I was asked to come to the dealership on several occasions to sign standard paperwork.There was a delay in me receiving my car due to a recall. I was told to come in on a Saturday afternoon to complete my trade-in, the car was in the service department and it would be a 30 minute fix. When I arrived the repair had not been completed and the service team had left for the weekend. In all it was almost two weeks from the time I initiated the deal until my car was delivered (despite being promised much earlier). Once delivered it was clear that dealership made no effort to detail the car. There was pet hair and scuff marks. All the previous owner's information was still programmed in the car such as home address, children's school information and presumably the work address.I attempted reaching out to the general manager, Nick Archer, but he never seems to be there. That tracks though since there is no accountability, no one makes an effort to do their jobs well. I was failed at every stage of this car buying process. There are plenty of places to buy a car.. I would advise others to shop elsewhere.

Me Myself and I: Brought my vehicle in for a recall repair. The recall repair was free, but at the end a sales person showed me the mechanics findings. He stated that I needed a new ball joint on one side and a CV joint on the other. He said that the boot is ripped with a lot of grease leaking out. He quoted me over 2k and sided that they offer financing, I rejected the offer. The next day I brought it to my mechanic. He showed me the car on the life, stating that the ball joint was fine on both sides, and the CV joint was fine as well, no rip or grease. I saw it with my own eyes. This place us so sketchy and fraudulent, its not funny. They try to take advantage big time. Avoid at all cost. My mechanic said that Lia in Hartford has better mechanics.
