Mal C: I would give 10 stars if I could. We were visiting another place from NY and saw a museum sign while driving on a highway. It was definitely worth checking. Everyone at the museum was super nice and knowledgeable. We watched a movie, and my kids were offered to become rangers. They had a lot of fun while completing the given tasks. In the end, they got pins and certificates.
Kristen Killinger: Very well kept piece of history. The worker was very knowledgeable when we had questions.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Price for adult entry Free …More
Jean Dowd: It was a great experience! So much history about Springfield, MA and the Armory. I grew up here and didn't even know some of the history such as streets being named due to their proximity to the Armory such as Magazine St, Armory St, etc., State St used to be named Toddy Rd due to the amount of bars and taverns frequented by the people who worked at the Armory! It was a great day. The volunteers were so helpful and knowledgeable. Great experience.
alexander valaris: Awesome free Museum with really friendly and informative volunteers and staff. You can see the evolution of rifles and the old machines they used to make them.

And the rangers are very knowledgeable and want to answer questions. They have a little kids area and the kids got to make buttons or color pictures. We enjoyed seeing the weapons our grandparents used in different wars.

Ethan Lindstrom: I love National Park Sites, as each has something unique to showcase! The armory has great displays about why it was created, the role it played in providing arms for the US military for many wars, and the way it changed over time (both with industrialization and the expanding role of private companies as weapons providers). One section of the exhibits focuses on the process and machines used to build guns, the other section on the actual guns. And there are TONS of guns on display from across the history of the armory (and guns from many other countries and manufacturers).
