Hannah: I would like to share experience of time skating! Except not only cant i skate, i cant find skating times, i cant find anything re public skating @ all! I scoured their web site. Brought me everywhere & gave me info about everything else except for public skating! Not sure if they dont have @ all, only during winter mths. Nothing @ all on the calendar for the whole yr. There was nothing on public skating pg. I have 2granddaughters who have been asking to skate. Was hoping i could find something locally. Know ice skating is more seasonal. I personally think having indoor skating during summer mths or @ least 1 or two of the summer mths would b great! Always looking for a place to cool off & would b a great activity for the kids during warm mths, nice & cold! My girls & their friends would love!! Actually all my gkids would love! Something different out of the same summer relm. Anyway, if anyone has any info re schedule & times for Spfld or Holyoke rink i would appreciate? Or if anyone knows anywhere there is ice skating during the mth of aug? & or Sept. Thank u very much for reading & your time! Enjoy rest of summer!! 🙂✌🌻

John Papasodora: Picked up some free top soil out in the parking lot. Plenty of room and the dirt was pretty good and you can't beat the price (free) Seems well organized.

Dennis John Paradis: Only 5 people on the rink when I went today! Which is awesome after not skating for 4 years, plus it was my first time at Smead. Ended up exchanging phone numbers and was giving and getting pointer so it was a blast. Will definitely be coming here more often! Also the skates are pretty good for rentals 🙂

Feircest Squirrel: Its okay, the ICE is not as good as it use to be. The rink is generally dirty and the bathrooms are always rough to say the least. The head manager too always comes off as very standoffish. As someone who use to work there I would have definitely gotten in trouble for the state that the rink is in currently.

carohart: The facility and staff are great but the following reasons are why I am rating them low:-I brought my family several times to skate during public skating hours and found the place to be closed when it was supposed to be opened. One time, it was because of the ice not being ready (was told it was due to mechanical issues over the Christmas break). Another time, it was because their answering machine gave wrong hours for public skating during the holiday break. I talked to the cashier at the rink and advised him of that issue. I also left a message on the answering machine. The message was never changed and kept giving out wrong information throughout the entire holiday break. Last Sunday, we showed up during public skating time (2 - 3:50 pm) and found that the rink was used for hockey. No mention of anything like that happening on their website, Facebook page or even at the rink.We like the facility and would love to be able to bring our family for public skating but feel that we cannot reliably plan to go there (especially because nobody ever answer the phone to confirm the hours).Lastly, they only accept cash. It would be great if they would accept other forms of payment (and if not, if it could be clearly communicated on their website/Facebook page so people don’t show up without cash!)

Danira Ortiz: Clean place. Not packed so it was nice family skating. The front desk person was not friendly. Seemed bothered to help us with entrance and to give us our skates. My son fell hard at one point and I went to ask for an ice pack. They didn’t have any. For an activity place I’d think an ice pack should be essential. Affordable. $6 entrance and $6 to rent skates.
