We live in LibertyKansas City, and drove about 35 minutes to drop off two chairs, one which had a leather issue from a chemical spill and another which had torn fabric from a puppy. Fibrenew fixed both beautifully, in a very timely manner, and for a very reasonable price. Absolutely worth the drive and we plan to take all our upholstery needs to them in the future. Tip: We sent them pictures of each piece and talked by phone so there were no surprises. 5 star experience.

Becky Dickerson: We had a leather recliner with a large tear created by head oils. The chair is 15-20 years old but in great shape otherwise. It was returned to us as good as new. The rip was gone and they matched the color beautifully. They also repaired a parson’s chair for us. We had thought we wanted decorative studs on the back, but decided against it after partially adding them on one chair. They removed them and repaired the holes that were left. Now the chair looks new and matches the other ones beautifully. Suzette was great to work with, and we can highly recommend Fibrenew!

Andrea Cahill: Extremely unprofessional, doesn't keep appointment time and responds in a untimely manor.I contact Fibernew to fix dog scratches on my leather couch and love seat, they advised they would need to set up an appointment time for them to look at it. Suzette said Ron had Jan 22 open (which was three weeks away from the time of scheduling) and he could be there around 12-2pm. I agreed to the time and advised my work I would need to take a half day off and I rearranged my work schedule to get done with my meetings in the morning. Two days before the scheduled appointment I receive an email saying that they had a cancellation and they have to change my time to 8:30am. I advised I could not do that early but I am available any time after 11am. Suzette replied that Ron would be done with his first appointment around 8am and she could not have him sit and idle for 2.5 hours waiting on me and they need to cancel my appoitment.If I was to tell one of my potential clients that I could not keep the original appointment because it wasn't convenient for me and I was not willing to wait on them, I would be fired!

They picked up furniture all the way out in Louisburg and dropped off at my new location in Overland Park for a very low price. My furniture was pretty badly damaged/chewed by my pets so I didn't expect it to look perfect when it was done, but to my surprise they did an excellent job color matching. I looked around at 4 or 5 competitors for pricing and Fibrenew had the lowest costs of anyone around. Absolutely great!

Jon Reed: Was really happy to find this expert leather and repair place. I was told by one store if I wanted a luggage repair - zipper in my case - I'd have to go all the way into Boston. But this Springfield place does luggage and handbag repair. They got my bag turned around quickly and for a reasonable price. I even told my favorite luggage story - Harlow Luggage in Northampton - about them as it's good to have a good repair place around here for pesky broken zippers and luggage repair etc. Bonus: you don't have to drive through the Springfield traffic jam part if you're driving in on 91, you go around on 291. Nice.

Discouraged at the lack of care for the value, I asked if he would make an attempt since he had already manipulated the integrity of the shoes entirely. He agreed but stated it would be another week before he could attempt. In 2 weeks I returned leaving more time, to have him arrogantly return the shoes without attempting any sort of repair and returned my money. But I tried to explain now I’m out of repairable shoes due to disrespect to their value. He walked away without regard. Zero stars and report to BBB is a better score in my opinion.

Sandy Bell: I have gone to Ace for several repairs not only for shoes. He has done work on my purses, and even re-strung my grandson's baseball glove and catcher's mitt. He does quality work. Some times I have to wait a little longer but I don't mind because of the excellent workmanship he performs. I don't know of any other shoe repair shop that re-stings baseball gloves. He is one of the last. I'm embarrassed that I can't recall the owners name but he is the BEST there is.
