180 Fit Gym: what do users think?
Brandon Yadegari Moreno: Really well-equipped gym with locker rooms, showers, classes and more. Jessie and the rest of the staff are super sweet and welcoming.
Ira Glenn: Owner is knowledgeable, space has free weights with a good amount of weight available to work with and staff is friendly.
Andreina Kuilan: I started going to gym for about a year in half and it’s been the best decision I ever made! The staff and the members are amazing and so encouraging!
Joseph Greenhalgh: It took a lot for me to go to 180 Fit for the first time. I am naturally fearful of the gym and self-conscious. However, 180 Fit has helped me to slowly change that. I started at 180 Fit seeing a personal trainer to get into the swing of things. There are numerous trainers who work with clients at 180 Fit, and I have had experience with a few of them. Jesse, the owner, is phenomenal. He has this amazing knack for adjusting his instruction style to a way that his clients will be receptive to. Jesse also seems to know better than I do how far I can push my body without overdoing it. I have also trained with Ty, who is not based solely at 180 Fit but does train clients there occasionally. I have learned to trust Ty’s instruction as strange as it seems to help me achieve the results I want. I have not trained with Emily but I have watched her working with her clients. She builds an amazing rapport with her clients and they are genuinely happy to be working with her. After I became accustomed to the gym and more comfortable, I dabbled a bit in classes. There are various boot-camp style classes at 180 Fit, in addition to spinning and yoga. The classes intimidated me at first because I was fearful of being judged. I quickly learned just how much like a family the group at 180 Fit is. Everyone encourages and cheers each other on. I’ve done classes with both Emily and Jesse. They create classes that generally don’t seem terrible (but you sometimes go in thinking it’s going to be a beast, which is good at the gym!), but they end up challenging you in the ways they should. The biggest selling point for 180 Fit is the friendliness and how much it is like a family. When John is working he is super friendly and welcoming. You become friends with other members of the gym, ultimately becoming like family. Everyone greets each other and is looking out for each other. It is an amazingly supportive group, which for me, as someone who is extremely self-conscious, was exactly what I needed.
KC: This is a GREAT gym on the 9th floor of our office building that we have been using almost daily now for 4 years for fitness & health....”The Official Gym of Downtown Springfield”.💪🙂👍
Megan Downey: I stopped working out when I got pregnant with my first child. Fast forward 15 years later and I was ready to focus on my health. I signed up at 180 Fit and never looked back. The classes are a great motivator and keep me coming back for more. I have met so many great people to share my work our experiences with, and the instructors not only push you to do your best but also get to know you as a person. I am happy to say I’m in the best shape of my life, thanks to 180 Fit!
Susan OConnor: I have been coming to 180 Fit since the fall of 2014. The gym offers a variety of classes from Monday through Friday during the lunch hour, including boot camp, spinning, yoga, and dumbbells, as well as two 6 AM spin classes. And it’s convenient, located right in downtown Springfield and within walking distance for those of us who work here. The gym and the locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers are always very clean. It also has an on site massage therapist, who is highly recommended. The owner, Jesse, and his right hand, Emily, are wonderful trainers. Jesse has a wealth of expertise from many years in the fitness business, but he doesn’t talk at you and try to impress you with what he knows like some trainers do. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding fitness, correct form, and giving modifications if needed. Jesse listens to his clients and designs their workouts to help them attain their goals in a safe way. I have personally seen a number of his clients increase their strength exponentially. Emily has fewer years in the business, but her classes and workouts are challenging and very creative. I have seen her clients getting fitter and stronger over time. It’s obvious how much both Jesse and Emily care about fitness and about the people they serve. You will also not find a more supportive group to work out with than the regulars at 180 Fit. They are helpful and encouraging, and going there is often the highlight of my day. I recommend 180 Fit and its trainers enthusiastically and unreservedly to anyone who wants to get fitter, stronger, or just to come work out in a supportive environment with some really great people.
Jerry Plumb: Phenomenal gym full of great people, well run, inviting and inspiring.
Michele Goldberg: I started going to 180 Fitness because it was convenient to my workplace but I keep going because of the great staff and great members! I even come back to downtown Springfield from home to take a Saturday class. There's a great support system at this gym whatever your fitness goals are.
Lisa: I started going to this gym because it is located in the building where i work. Also, my coworkers were going and seemed to enjoy it. Its clean, convenient and affordable. The owner Jesse and his Assistant Manager Emily aka Em are very knowledgeable about nutrition and fitness.180Fit Gym is great for networking, building positive relationships and having a good time! Oh yeah and learning about well-being :) !
Kelly Moore: I've been trying to cancel a membership for months and they did not reply to e-mails, to the form on their website, and they never answer their phone. Be careful! Gyms that make it hard to cancel are so scummy.
