If you’re a frequent flyer, you get very good food comps.Easy parking, easy exit, and the best free parking for Thunderbirds. DY M: We visited the casino to play some slots. The MGM garage parking was not difficult to find while using a GPS APP. There are five levels to park. There are stairs or elevators to use to enter into casino. We approached the front desk to receive a complimentary free $20.00 playing card. The atmosphere was bustling with people playing slot machines. We explored and found many restaurants wrapped around the outskirts of the playing floor. There is a free self accessed soft drink beverage vending dispenser. There are floor employees that can help in teaching one how to use the slot machines if you are unaware. There are many security guards at each entrance of the playing areas. There is a movie theatre on the second floor via elevator. Your playing card receives reward points when eating at the restaurants inside casino. Employee waitresses will bring free drinks while you play. The atmosphere felt safe and enjoyable. MGM is located in the south end of Springfield, Ma., So take advantage of Laflorentina Bakery, Mom & Rico's, Frigo's, Red Rose Pizza, Ciro's which are restaurants located outside of MGM. In all, it was an enjoyable day to explore what MGM has to offer. It's not a very large casino like Foxwoods or Mohegan with all the shopping stores, but it's nice to have a casino in Springfield. Sam Wallis: The biggest drawback to MGM's casino is that its building space limits itself to such a degree that it can hardly be felt as a casino. Even such, if one were to disregard its spacial limitations compared to places like Mohegan, MGM still feels lacking in other areas. There are hardly any video poker machines now, compared to years past where they at least had their own section. Not only that but a number of my favorite games have gone missing. There are no more James Bond slots and during my last visit I didn't even see any Monopoly slots, its all Eastern themed games and ultimate link stuff.The staff and food court were friendly but the game selections and variety have taken a hit in my opinion.
