Jake Thayer: It’s been two years now since I signed with Nixon and I have gone through many ups and many downs during that time. One thing for sure is that I’ve grown a tremendous amount and through the work we’ve done. I’ve become more sure of my identity and I’ve been instilled with a sense of confidence to pursue whatever it is I want to go after whether it’s modeling, designing, or anything for that matter. I think social media really poisoned my generation into thinking people are successful because of their sole efforts and pure willpower, but in reality that’s only half of the battle. Although my visit got off to a ruff start with Greyhound losing my luggage and not getting the right amount of sleep I couldn’t let that hold me back from enjoying myself. Nixon a good friend of mine was kind enough to offer me some clothes and a place to stay during my visit. Every morning he made me breakfast and later in the day whenever we weren’t in the studio he showed me around the city. The vibes were so peaceful I felt more at home than I do when I’m in my own city. Before I decided to visit Projectskinnyboy I lacked confidence in myself and as I did several shoots I never thought it would feel as empowering as it looked. I basically arrived one way and left feeling like a whole new person. Definitely was a great but positive experience and I look forward to returning! ✈️✈️✈️

The studio with its "homey" vibe gives off a taste of a comfortable home and has a lot of sensual energy. The music that is played also gives it its own inspiring feeling as well. The experience that Ken and Nixon creates is on another level. I walked in a novice and I felt like I walked out with more knowledge about the industry and really myself.
