Sodom Mountain Campground: what do users think?
Stephen Robnett: The people were very nice, my wife didn't want to boondock and I was very tired. The campground was not open but they made accomodations for a weary traveler. After being parked they came by and checked on us made sure we didn't need anything, very nice. Will keep in mind the next time we are in the area.
Mark Button: My favorite campground in Mass.! Great people, great service, all the amenities!Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Tom LeClerc W1TJL: We stayed for a couple of days and it was late fall so that there were very few people around. Really enjoy quiet and private campsites and we had just that. I'll definitely stay there again.Dog-friendliness: We brought our two Britney's with us and they were happy with the smells and happy with the squirrels and critters running around the camp. There were several other dogs in the camp and it was a pleasant experience.
Alyssa Solt: Our truck was experiencing transmission failure, and we basically limped into Sodom Mountain Campground in the dark. They turned our one night reservation into a 14 night reservation without any fuss. Not sure what we would have done if they could not accommodate us in our time of stress! Without a truck we were stranded. You can tell that they love the little campground they have curated. Lots of attention to making it feel homey and special. The hiking trail that winds up through the woods and to the overlook spot was absolutely gorgeous! Highly recommend. They are the best! A+ customer experience.
Brian Brennan: Love camping here. Been going here for years.
Lori Cocca: Very cleanExtremely friendlyLarge sites
anime: Stayed so we could go to Six Flags. Turns out there was a KCBS BBQ competition thst eeekend there. Sooo cool!
marc: Called on Thursday and had to cancel on Saturday. They took a 200 dollar deposit and only refunded me 50 bucks. Spoke on phone originally and said they keep 60 but was lied too and now they change their story. NOT how you treat people especially when it was days apart of deposit and cancelation! BBB complaint is next!Update!..........More Lies More Lies! They told me they turned away people that were working there! "Event" hahaha. Also told me I'll get my money back all but the 60. Haven't received it! Also was told I'm banned for life! Lies Lies Lies! That's OK keep my money not important to me what is is people knowing how u run the place. Only was reserved for 2 days and got robbed! So my advice don't reserve a spot just call ask if they have openings and just show up. P.S. BBB complaint was filed and your investors are next to know. Y'all should delete them from the bottom of your website!
Candy King925: great campground and awesome view of the mountain. the campsite i was staying in was shady and flat, perfect for camping. pool was fun and clean.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
jesse morrissette: Great camp ground!! Pool, store, laundry, and they have 6 cabins.
Kathleen Simpson: Nice campground. Owners are nice. Place in general needs a little update
Omn_J: was kinda dumpy, promised free wifi but got no wifi,
Rose Strong: Took my granddaughters on their 1st camping trip. The activities, the pool, the park, made their 1st experience a success.
Robin Pike: Have alot of fun nice place to go people are nice
James Rhoades: Very laid back. There was a Harry Potter weekend going on when we were there. Fun for the kids. We enjoyed the pool. This campground is convenient to Springfield but there are nearby stores and restaurants.

Prospect Mountain Campground: what do users think?
Crystal Wells: Opening up our camp siteLocation: 5/5 …More
Anthony B.: Was a great reasonably priced getaway. New owners raised the prices 35-50%.Based on the photos and my expierence at the end of last year,The playground is all rotten and needs to be upgraded, it has not been. The pool needs a new liner, Maybe this has been done? The deck in the front is rotted away, it has not been replaced. The game room is closed, unless they did a lot of work, expect it to be closed.Point is, at $70 a night, campers might as well go somewhere nice.I can almost get a hotel room for that cost.
Kim Gagnon: This is the only way I can get contact. If someone sees or hears from Donny and Joan it's imperitive that he contacts me and John tubbys parents asap. I lost their number.
Jessica B.: We were happy to find this place four years ago. We started off with a weekend here and there, then did their spring and fall fling packages. We became seasonals last year. It was family owned. The owner could be seen riding around and greeting and helping campers. He knew just about everyone's names that frequented the campground. They had themed weekend activities for children as well as families. The employees were always happy and helpful. Even during the pandemic, they seemed to have a handle on managing the campground through it. Flash forward to this year. The campground was bought out by a corporation. We immediately felt the difference. We noticed the themed activities were not the same, if any at all. Some of the employees left. They hired a guy that is a seasonal up the hill from us to become a "park ranger"?? Who rides around in his golf cart drinking and picking up drinking buddies to ride around with?? Scary, right? Then came time to renew contracts, which was usually in August. August came and went... crickets. Sept came and went... crickets. October, just a week and a half before the season ended, they sent around the contracts for 2023. Holy price increase! 50% for our site! The increased all sites to be the same cost (as opposed to the sites being priced by their size, location, hook-ups, etc.). So we would be paying the same prices as sites that are three times the size of ours and include all hook-ups (we had electric and water, no sewer). We can't fit any cars on our site when you are allowed to have two. It doesn't make sense to price all the sites at the same rate. They dressed up the increase by stating that electricity, pumpouts and now a resort fee would be included. Since we were only there on the weekends, our expense for both were minimal, so it wouldn't make sense for us. I understand that those with much larger sites are only seeing a minimal increase in comparison, and those who are there more frequently will benefit from electricity being included. If it makes sense for them, fine. However, many of us were basically pushed out. They are now charging a resort fee, even though the campground and amenities are anything but. Very disappointed with the drastic change and price increase. We pulled out this year and likely won't be returning. They have even increased the prices on daily stays on their transient sites. FInd another family owned campground, there are a few left with great reviews. This one is now a corporation.
Ryan Doyle: I had an excellent stay. The facilities were clean and well kept, the camp store stocked with any items I forgot, and the owners/front desk staff were extremely communicative and helpful. The campsite itself was well maintained, as well.
Tchm: Best place to go camping in the Berkshires
William Mayer: This campground was a great place to be until it was sold to Blue Water Development, a commercialized chain of “luxury RV resorts” which with a quick google search you’ll notice is far from luxury. The electricity is poorly managed with frequent power outages and sky high costs to seasonal campers. Add that to the propane costs that come monthly even when the tank in unused and remains closed at all times, and the yearly increase on rates and goods in the store. The events are poorly managed and often times lacking the supplies to accommodate which only hurts the kids when they find out their favorite event has been canceled or ended early. There are thief’s that like to cut light bulbs from camp sites which management has done nothing to assist with a solution or catch the person. They have a “park ranger” who is also a seasonal, that enjoys the powertrip, and his beer throughout the day, to then work his shift intoxicated with multiple sources to prove with photo and video evidence, yet management is silent. Conflict of interest much? The playground is in dire need of repairs or updates with soft boards and exposed nails, the game room has been shut down, the basketball court has a deteriorating retaining wall supporting it, and the front deck of the main building is sinking into the ground on cinder blocks causing a very uneven and unsafe environment. The gazebo could use some work but with a new coat of paint, all problems are hidden, right? The pools coping (aluminum) is deteriorating and has rot holes which are very sharp and has been problematic. It used to be great. Management was on top of things, events were fulfilling and joyous, prices were lower, and voices were heard. Now, there’s1 side of every story and the new manager has the audacity to lie straight to your face, as well as the “ranger”. At the end of they day, I would suggest staying elsewhere. But after being a regular for 8 years, what do I know, right?
Tonia Williams: Very disappointed in the new owners. This place was a family tradition over 10 years. They raised the prices on everything, they don't clean the sites like the previous owners used to do. Unfortunately will not be returning 😕
diana Mancini: We enjoyed our stay again. We did a week last summer (2021) and we stayed again this summer. My friend and I do a moms camping trip. We enjoy the 2 hrs a day of adult free time in the pool. (Wish more campgrounds did this.) They do activities during the week( most do not, only on weekends.) The staff was nice a helpful.
Johanna Garcia: Great memories
Jesse Ives: We have been coming with family for many years but the campground is definitely different this year the couple times we went. They apparently have new owners and they clearly don't care as much about the customers experience. I heard it's a corporation, so maybe that shouldn't be a surprise. But their fun events were all cancelled or much smaller. Their store had nothing in it the first time we went, and the second time we went they still didn't have as much as they used to. The bathrooms didn't even have toilet paper. The paddleboats are gone. The new people in the office didn't know what they were doing and I was told to come back later when other people were in there to answer my simple questions. They were nice, but not helpful. I also noticed they were also ignoring the phone calls, which made sense because I had a lot of difficulty reaching them before our stay to finish paying. I guess they also have a lot of theft and vandalism now that the old owner isn't always walking around in his cowboy hat, because someone made an announcement at bingo about it so we were worried about leaving our site unattended for the rest of our stay. That might also be why there was so much late night noise all weekend that no one took care of. The pool and the mini-golf were still fun, but I think we'll skip our annual stays next summer and hope the new owners figure everything out before we come back again because this year was a big disappointment for us and the kids. I really hope the campground we loved comes back soon.
VIRGEN DIAZ (Sacha): Nice but to much rock's in that road.
alison wilcox: 1st time here and I will definitely come back. Short ride from the berkshires. Have tons of activities, clean and quiet place
Andy & Erin Fedora: This was our first time visiting the campground. The store is great and the snack shop had good food. I was disappointed with the schedule of activities verses what was listed online on the website. Sadly 3 of the 4 things were cancelled but not updated leaving kids sad. The pool was very clean but freezing. There was also advertising on the website for fishing, boat rental and a game room. None of these are there anymore. ( but lots of frogs to catch) The camping ground was very clean and respectful.
Yarimar Alvarado: I won't go here again, the worst place ever, my campsite was super bad, dirty and our tents was on top of a lot of roots, bathroom dirty, the pool was the best thing they have but the staff she thinks that she can talk to any kids like her own, she didn't let no other kids bring toys inside the pool but only her kids 🤦🏻‍♀️ they had mini golf but you need to reserved before 2pm it will be nice if they have it open all the time. If I can give less than 1 start I will
Donna Pinney: Cabins are very clean camp is well maintained loved ot
Juanita Gran: We had a great time! We went with 2 families and we want 2 tent site close together which they were able to accommodate and close to the bathroom for the little kids. The atmosphere is relaxing and the activities available were more than we could do in a weekend. The tent sites were great with 2 ouets and 2 water nozzles. Bathroom cleaned regularly with hot showers included in the price of your site (no coin op shower). The kids had fun fishing and swimming until they dropped. The band that was there Saturday was fun but our site was too close to the soccer field so it was too loud at bedtime for the kids. Next time we will just pick site further from the action though because there were lots of options.
Katie Pomeroy: Our families favorite campground! Always clean, friendly workers, and tons of activities for kids and families. There was a live band last time we went and things like arts and crafts and hay rides for the kids. They also do movies on a big screen in the field. Awesome experience every time. I seriously recommend checking it out!
Ana Diaz: First time, very good experience. Clean and has everything.
Elizabeth Palacios: Maravilloso! Me encanta , fue nuestra segunda vez en este lugar y estuvo super. El lugar muy limpio, organizado , el personal muy amable ...genial!.Wonderful! I love it, it was our second time in this place and was super. Clean , organized, the personal services are so nice and kind ...excellent! .
