Family Life Center: what do users think?
Elroy: The worst experience I've ever had with doctors. Never again will I give birth here. Treated me like a child and spoke to me like as if I didn't know how to take care of my child when I have other children. When I used the bathroom they would just walk right in. As soon as I fall asleep they're waking me up five minutes later. They were rude and invaded my privacy and very disrespectful. They tried to get my baby taken from me and it didn't work then decided to have me babysat all night, called security on me because I argued with them over the fact that they saidtheyre making sure my baby isn't unsafe while I was trying to use the bathroom then they threatened to take my baby from me and were just disrespectful the whole time I was there. They wouldn't discharge me forced me to be there for five days and were so rude and had students give my baby shots and had three students and a nurse surrounding my baby without asking. They're inconsiderate, disrespectful, rude , judgemental and will try to provoke you and use everything little thing against you. Horrible experience
Keyasha Clark: I had an appointment with the nurse Adrienne. She was amazing! She listened to my concerns, fully, gave great suggestions & referrals. I truly felt like she understood me as a patient. I Will definitely be coming back.
missmay haley xXx: Beautiful and comfortable birthing center. *Most* of the nurses are amazing. However, I do NOT recommend for first time birth or someone with history of c-section.They absolutely do not believe in c-sections even when they are highly necessary. My first baby was born here a little over a year ago. I desperately needed a c-section because my son was too large. They forced me through an awful prolonged labor and made me deliver him vaginally and as a result I ended up with permanent damage. First time moms or moms with history please beware!
Sarika Rainey: The staff at FLC are amazing. I had my daughter there a week ago and was very happy with the care I received. A special thank you to Michelle, Felicia, and Gianna... (and apologies to those whose names I missed). They took care of me when I needed a procedure done after birth, and then when I had to come back to treat my daughter's jaundice. They were also very good to my husband.
Tracey L.: I had great nurses and The best Doctor for my surgery. Both my girls where born here and I did not have any trouble at all first one was 2015 and my second one was 2018 I'm happy and blessed to have beautiful girls.
yuan: I was very dissatisfied with the hospital. When I was about to give birth, I took off my pants. I didn't have any clothes to cover my lower body. At this time, a man came into the room where I gave birth. This is the first time in my life that I felt humiliated. It was my first time having a baby, and they let me stay with deep memories of fear! It was infuriating, in the past i have always been asked for consent to allow students to observe and participate in my care, however this time i was not asked, and they allowed a male intern to come into my room all while my privates we're exposed and my dignity not taken into consideration. They have no respect for people at all. I do not recommend that you go to this hospital to give birth. They will only make you feel that you are not worthy of respect and dignity!
Olga Krip: I delivered my son due C-section, on August 2020. All stuff made me feel like at home . They provided good care for me and my son. All of the doctors, nurses, lactation consultants and all other staff was professional and friendly.it was a great Experience! Thank you all!
Angela Castro: I delivered my daughter via c section on May 2020. Even with the pandemic going on, the staff made me feel at home. They worked very good as a team and provided the upmost care for me and my newborn.
Julia Gumenyuk: I recently had my first born here. My full honesty here, I loved it! From the moment we came into triage to the moment we left the hospital with our baby, everything was perfect! All of the nurses are nice and helpful, the food I actually enjoyed, expect make sure you call and choose your food before they bring you whatever they think you’ll eat. (Phone in our room didn’t work, so they couldn’t reach me to get my order) I liked how nobody came in the middle of the night to remind you it’s time to feed the baby, they let you actually learn and be a mom. We will be back for my future pregnancies.
Sue Paolucci: My daughter had our first grandchild last Friday at family life Center all of the nurses and midwives especially Nancy, they all were so lovely to my daughter and made the experience for her so wonderful I can’t thank you all enough for helping bring my little grandson into this world . Any expecting mother need not worry about this facility it is excellent Thank You everyone xo
Tanya Lasante: omg I love all my nurses I had they where so wonderful with me and my baby girl this weekend so friendly and always with a smile. I love this place
Daniel Lemay: Thank you guys for everything. Not sure how this place isn't reviewed. My experience here was nothing short of tremendous. Must have had a dozen doctors at least and every one of them were incredible. My son and family are forever thankful.
Mike Blizzard: My wife gave birth to our first son Here! And it was a Great Experience, overall.Everybody told us go to Baystate to have your child, but we chose Mercy instead and we're glad that we did. All of the staff and I mean everybody was polite, professional and friendly. I have a basic medical understanding and I watched everything they did and I was impressed at the quality of care we received. They were very well staffed, there was always somebody around to answer questions. And they fed my wife well to help with the baby feeding. I actually enjoyed spending the nights here, sure the bed wasn't my king size memory foam that I'm used to but it was a great experience in this new chapter of Parenthood. I would highly recommend them to any new parents and will come back for my other newborns!Little Michael Jacob thanks you all very much for the attentive care that he recieved!
Ivy Val.: Had a nurse put her hand over my mouth while the baby was crowning because i was going to scare the other patients.
Jason Cintron: Mary-Ann, "Mellon", and Courtney are a few of the nurses who were exceptionally rude and disrespectful. If you have to deal with these, ask for new nurses. They do not make you feel comfortable, they make you feel dumb and certainly don't make the husband/father feel any better. We will not be coming back for our next child. The Family Life Center needs to be reminded and have a crash course to have compassion for everyone who is admitted in their facility, be patient, and make everyone feel welcome. They are caretakers, I question if some of them are there just for a paycheck.
ginni fisher: This was my first time having a child the first night few hours after my birth the staff was amazing the following night i can not say the same. A nurse came to check on me once in 4 hours. I pushed the button to try and get help getting up and try breastfeeding since this is my first time I've never felt so discouraged and spoken to like i should already know the tricks and how to get my baby to latch. I cried after this nurse left my room. I couldn't wait to get home. I read so many good reviews before my birth and cant believe this was my experience here. This nurse spoke to me like I was dumb and should know and be able to breastfeed right away and be able to move no problem. If i have another child i will not come here.
Jesus Lopez: Great hospital I just had my son there in September 16 they treated us like a family and good caring nurses and doctors..
Elizabeth Andras: Amazing caring staff. I didn't feel like a patient, the staff didn't just "do their job and go home". They realy cared and took pride in how it was done I spent 5 days there and me much of the staff I didn't get a bad feeling about any of them above and beyo.d outstanding job
Steven Laureano Sr.: The best place for a woman to give birth to their newborn.

Wesson Women & Infants' Unit: what do users think?
T Thomas: I birthed four children at Baystate Medical Wesson Women's. I always had good experiences and up until now, I never thought of going anywhere else to have my children. I left a great Ob/ Gyn practice because they didn't deliver at Baystate Wesson. I thought it would be best to have my last child there. I was wrong!1. It's no longer Maternity hospital, it's a medical school. They put what ever money and/or incentive they may be getting for having student there over the care, needs and wants of their patients.2. Your rights and their own bylaws are ignored. They asked us about our wishes and concerns, then they ignored everything we said.3. Do not show any concern for your care or attempt to make any complaints. There will be retaliation.4. We witnessed and experienced high school like gossip and catty division that leaked into our experience there.5. I was saddened to see and experience some of the nurses caring for babies even display these high school like tendencies. They showed favoritism to some babies and the other babies in their care got much less. My newborn experienced mistreatment and I might say abuse there, because of some of these reasons and more.6. I feel the hospital attempted to keep my baby there for longer than what would be justifiable, for reasons that would benefit the hospital and not my newborn. After we left there, l spoke with a friend who had studied there and worked there not long ago. I was told that, depending on ones insurance, the hospital has a history of finding as many ways to bill your insurance as possible and might keep patients longer and test more than needed. My family is saddened and traumatized by our experiences there. I will no longer recommend this hospital. I wish there were more choices in the area
Jessica Hernandez: Rude staff just disgusting, they don't help make you feel comfortable or help resolve any questions.

Center for Perinatal Wellness: what do users think?
Mary Howes: I'd only give 3/5 stars and that's due to clinical competence. For the brief time I worked with Lynn she seemed highly educated and was helping me with PPD/PPA combined with a leg fracture/surgery. She seemed to minimize my anxieties and problems but I was trying to get perspective so trusted it wasn't just her being cold at first. Then she no showed a virtual appointment and never tried to reengage me despite me sending a secure message to please call to reschedule. 6 weeks later I voiced my concerns to Lauren and was told I should work my issues out with Lynn and that no other clinicians were available. I'm not seeing a provider that clearly doesn't care so here we are in June with no calls or messages since my contact with Lauren in March. Being a VA employee I cannot access the portal at work as it's restricted, my phone doesn't reply to messages correctly, my patients receive far more case management and would never be allowed to be lost to follow up in such a way. I find this unacceptable and substandard mental health care so do not recommend this practice unless you feel like hounding down a provider that clearly doesn't care

Baystate Medical Center: what do users think?
MARISSA Surbaugh: One again thank you to the medical team that helped out with our 1 month old son. This is the second time they treated our son with the upmost respect and the one on one with him. Thank you to the nursing staff they always made sure our son and us had what we needed at all times and thank you to the doctors that kept us updated through the process on what to expect and not expect.
Jose Cabrera: Today April 19 came into this hospital with leg pain. I was seen at triage and they told me I might have a blood clot, but yet they have me sitting here for over 8hrs and they tell me I need to sit here and wait. This is insane. You will die here
Adam Wade: understaffed. be patient
David Graves: Our son was transferred to baystate hospital and the medical staff here was amazing and thorough with him thank you to the doctors and nurse who helps us through this process with our new born we would recommend this hospital over any other hospital
wifi ad: Some of the doctors in the hospital seem to be from India recently with a heavy Indian accent. It seems like they might have come here during the pandemic when there was a healthcare provider shortage. This doesn't necessarily mean that these are good doctors. This hospital needs better doctors. Nurses are very nice even though they are from other countries.
Timothy Murphy: Saved my life!!!
Daniel Lynch: I declined everything I could, spent less than 20 minutes getting attention (at the hospital for less than an hour total), it wasn't an emergency, I wasn't in critical condition, my vitals weren't even elevated, and yet was given zero information or choice about my brief treatment then was sent a $7000 total bill. They're not compliant with 45 CFR 180, they intentionally added unnecessary and hyperinflated items to the bill, and didn't take the dispute seriously. I hope the employees that saw me that day get paid over a $1000 an hour, because that's the only way the charges make sense. One Ex: They said I had to take a Covid test, which I tried to decline, then charged $182 for it. Meanwhile they set me loose before even getting the results so obviously it didn't effect the care at all. Just another money gouging method.
Adrian Garvin: Always very courteous and helpful. But that ER maybe too small
Marc Caldwell: The most impersonal hospital ive ever been too. My daughter went into labor and Baystate is where they had arranged to go to. When we got there There was no triage done and her contractions got closer we had to keep asking for assistance from the security guard. After about 45 min someone finally come and got her. We had several family members there and all had to wait in the general er waiting room. There were family or other waiting rooms. Absolutely the worst hospital process ive been through. Throughout the deliverly process there was no way to get any updates. I would never go back there. Find another hospital to go to
Keana Whitfield: I usually hate coming here because of the wait time but I do understand that they are busy saving lives behind the scenes. Anyway I came here because I was having problems with my trach. I was having shortness of breathe and when I made it to the front desk one of the workers immediately saw something was wrong with me and rushed me to admissions. While waiting to be checked in the other nurses also rushed to my attention because I was having a really hard time breathing. They took me to the back and assured me I was in good hands and I was. They did everything they could to control my breathing and I’m so thankful for those ED nurses who acted fast because that was so scary for me. Everyone at baystate is nice and everyone focuses on care. I have plenty of great experiences here but that one really took it up a notch. Thank you 🙏🏾
Zy Benz: Horrible hospital they do nothing
Kayla Moore: Very rude labor nurse laughed at me for saying I have pregnancy gas I will not come here I’ll drive a hour first
Hector Morales: When homey shot me up the folks here sewed me up real good. Ain’t dead yet!
Patrick Gregory: Unfortunately not all trips are born out of pleasure or business. My sister was admitted to this hospital after suffering a massive heart attack. I made the frantic trip home to Massachusetts , dreading every ring of my phone. My sister was critical, requiring a hybrid type of heart bypass surgery. Getting to the point , this hospital was impressive from the attendants who valet parked my truck to the surgeons who saved my sister’s life!!! The nurses in attendance at the Mass Mutual CCU were without a doubt absolutely incredible! Their attitude, professionalism ,compassion and commitment to their profession played a critical role in the successful outcome of my sister’s life threatening condition . My hat is off and my heartfelt thank you goes out to all of them
Katya Ford: Great experience in ER. Thank you everyone!
The Real D Nation: I been in this emergency room since 11 am still waiting to be seen this is the slowest hospital service I have ever seen in my entire life I recommend if your ever in need to be seen go somewhere else worst hospital in Massachusetts I even asked for a doctors note for my job after sitting here for 7 hours and they told me no not without being seen I watched people come in after me and leave already by the time I get seen it will be 12pm and I came here at 11am the way they treat people is horrible planning to file a lawsuit I just sat there from 11am to 733 pm and still never was seeing or given a note stating I was there
Wigwam Luc: Definitely a no star rating. 98 year old grandmother goes by ambulance to Baystate er at 7:30pm - due to a fall. In pain- at 2:30am we are told she can go home vitals all clear - ct scan and xrays are clear as well. I said absolutely not she can’t stand and is in agony- the dr responds oh really? Thats not in her notes. Seriously??!! After insisting they do more scans low and behold- 2 fractures in leg also ankle and foot! Oh but she is fine ! Go anywhere else but Baystate. I need a whole new review for the front desk and security- just as bad.
Jay O: I cannot explain the exceptional job the doctors, RN's, CNA'S, medical interpreters and specialty doctors such as nephrologists, respiratory care personnel have done while caring for my mother. The rapid and professional approach is noticeable. The care, communication and treatment is clear, concise and within the ethical means. From the ER to the 5th fl. (Daly) the treatment has been great. The hospital is clean, the temperature appropriate and environmentally safe. Needless to say, this is the only hospital we consider for my family.
Ahpakach Yo: *Be warn* this hospital will make you wait in the waiting room for very long hours👉over 13 hours without treatment, without seeing a doctor forcing you to leave then send you a large bill for just sitting in the waiting room. This hospital is running an insurance fraud/scam on patient's insurance, BBB should be investigating this hospital.
L C: In ER. Nurses told us no one in ER waiting room getting seen today because they are full. That unless we are dying we aren't getting seen. When I ask for my labs they said i need to wait until a room becomes available which isn't until much later the next day. At least if they released the labs you can make an educated decisión on wether to leave or not. The wait is insane.
