Aurora Melendez: When I scheduled my move with this company, I asked for a certain quantity of tape based on my previous moving experience. They only wanted to give me 1 roll of tape for 12 boxes. I had to ask the delivery man who came to my home to give me more tape. He only had one more roll in his truck. He told me that 2 rolls were enough for 12 boxes. I had to call their office to ask for more tape. They did not even want to give me anymore tape. They told me 2 rolls of tape should be enough for 12 boxes!!! Based on my past moving experiences, this is untrue. I had to explain myself as to why I need more tape. After explaining myself, they still wanted to leave me without one more roll of tape. I just moved last year it required 5 rolls of tape to pack all of my belongings. However, they still had an issue with providing more tape. If I'm paying for the tape, boxes & tissue paper, I should not have to explain WHY I need soo much tape!!!!

It took a whole day to move a 1 bedroom apartment. Mind you I had everything in boxes. My fridge was scratch and when my husband told the owner he did not want to be held responsible for it. The experience was terrible from beginning to end. I will never recommend or use them again. And I got charged an arm and a leg for a crappie unprofessional job, plus I had to see the driver high on drugs, legs bending not working and me paying for that.

Tiff McGale: Could not have been happier with the services from Cabrini. They moved us from a 2nd floor two family house to a single family house in 2hrs and 15minutes. Originally we got an outrageous quote from another local moving company estimating $1,200 for this move, Cabrini did it for $385. I can't say enough about how awesome the three guys were, they worked hard and were gentle with all our belongings. Nothing broken and nothing damaged...including walls! We did our own packing.David Vasquez, Wayne Babbitt and Tyler Apher showed up on time, neatly dressed and masked. My wife supervised the second floor. I supervised the first.The men started right in by hand carrying 3 or 4 of our pre-packed “wine boxes” full of our stuff. After they were stacked, they started on the big stuff: a sofa, table and chairs, easy chairs, a bed, a heavy den and bureaus. They finished with all the other stuff: lamps, end tables, books, clothing and shelving, etc..They took no breaks and were done in 3 hours. They we very polite and worked efficiently. Whoever I spoke to took my information, set appointment time, gave me a quote price & said they would call me back. Two days before they were scheduled to come to my house no one contacted me. I called to confirm, they told me their truck had broke down and they can do until three weeks from that date. I'm not sure how that was supposed to be helpful when I had less than 3 days to be out of my apartment & no one had contacted me to let me know they were unable to do the job. The owner and person that makes appointments are not honest and upfront about the cost at all. This is very disappointing because they still have VERY competitive rates. If the customer service was not so horrible I would give this place a 5 star because the movers went above and beyond. I even tipped them! Long story short! The price you will be quoted will be to good to be true! They will say anything to book your business which ironically is bad for business. Lauren Albano: This place was sub par. They sent out 3 men. Two were new and BARELY new what to do. They brought no food or drink and expected us to feed them. Our house was in boxes so we had no glasses. When they first arrived one of them just wanted to go to the neighbors and grab something free in the yard. They complained they were tired. And one of them was actually crying because he was fighting with his girlfriend on the phone. Once we arrived at our new home the crying gentleman proceeded to put beds together backwards. It took him twice the amount of time. He also put our platform bed together without a center support piece which made the entire (very expensive) hardwood frame crack. I personally called NICK (the manger) twice and left two messages with no call back. This place was pretty bad. They had no clue what they were doing and they were unprofessional. As they were backing out of the driveway one of them was taking about how “we were tortured today” because I didn’t order them pizza. Somewhat comical. But disconcerting seeing the whole thing was thousands of dollars. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Of note, they comped us 30 minutes off the bill.

Robert R.: We hired Sitterly Movers in April 2021 for a move from one Western Massachusetts town to another. We had a lot of stuff and not a lot of time to move, and they came through for us. Overall I'm happy with my experience with the company.We used their professional packing services and the crew who worked on that aspect of the job packed things well to prevent damage. They packed dozens of boxes and the cost was worth it for us to not have to stress about the process. Upon unpacking, we found that a lot of the boxes had more packing paper than items, however, although that may just be the cautious nature of the business.The move itself went well, as the crew dutifully cleared out our previous home item by item. They did an awesome job with this part of the gig as I previously stated, there was a lot of stuff to move.Upon unpacking at the new house, we did discover some things had been broken during the move. But we purchased the moving valuation during the contract signing for an additional cost, and upon submitting my claim, they sent me a check without any issues. It was as simple as me filling out the form, emailing it, and receiving a check.Overall, I'd say most every crew member who was a part of this was fantastic. Overwhelmingly they were kind, responsive, professional and careful with our belongings. And some of the guys on the team were just amazing people to work alongside and meet. Additionally, since we were doing this during the pandemic, they took caution relative to wearing masks and such, which was greatly appreciated.So was the move perfect? No, things got broken, but I somewhat expected that to happen with a move of our size. But did they follow-up and handle things with professionalism and accept responsibility? Absolutely. And that, to me, makes the difference.I would recommend Sitterly and Relocation Coordinator Joe Santos to a friend or relative without question. Good people and good value for the money, and I'm thankful for their assistance in making my move a smooth one.

me me: Was in a pinch and needed help moving fast. They had about a week or 2 notice... theybwere able to fit me in. Pack. Load and move my stuff out of state. Everyone was nice and professional. The only negative thing was they are hard to get ahold of when you have questions such as when they are coming etc. However they will reply via email within a day. Thats just me being nit picky. I called to get a quote for moving a piano (something I know nothing about) and Jimmy spent time to give me advice, counsel me on what questions to ask the piano seller, and explained in detail the exact price he would charge me to move the piano. He was friendly and patient and his experience speaks volumes.

These are his words exactly.I said ok good, and that I can lend a hand if need be.The two movers came, had some hard time moving the piano around the corner, but eventually they made it, but did some damage to the wall next to the stairs. Throughout, they kept complaining this was a 3-person job and they do not understand why Jimmy sent only two.When they left, I called Jimmy to let him know I have to inform the management company of the building about the damage, and before I even get to that part, he backfired (and always interrupting) saying he told us it is a 3-person job, so he sent out two and I would be the 3rd as we allegedly agreed, while he had clearly decided two can do it, before I even offer a hand, which is at least dishonest.On top of that, Jimmy ended the phone call saying, “your piano is the last thing we would damage”, which if you think about it is not such a strong selling point for a moving company.Please do not give Jimmy your business. This company is not worth your money.We do NOT recommend this company and will NEVER use them again.

Rich Lawlor: My wife and I hired Jimmy Burghoff to move us on 7/12. The crew (Junior, Yusuf, Hope, and Jua) showed up on time and worked tirelessly in the heat and humidity. They were polite, courteous, and extremely professional. They moved each piece of furniture as if it was there own and the move was flawless. Moving day is always stressful but they made it simple and took away the stress. And the price was very reasonable. We would highly recommend using them again!

Jane: We hired 5 College Movers for our first move and had a never ending nightmarish experience (I even considered filing a complaint with the attorney general's office). We did not consider Jimmy's company initially because I mistakenly thought they only did white glove service but it turns out they have different levels of service. So, we hired them for our second move. The cost was reasonable with no surprises . His guys did a great job. They moved our piano up a stone walkway without a hitch. They were excellent spacially, having no trouble fitting the contents of our three bedroom home into their truck. In fact , there was extra space ! They helped me figure out where to put furniture and didn't mind when I asked them to move it to another spot . From start to finish, they worked efficiently and did not complain . The entire experience was the opposite of our experience with the other company . I recommend them . They are truly a local company based out of Amherst-Pelham.

Charles Bagley: This well-run organization has moved several pianos for me, and everything went off without a hitch. The crew was always punctual, helpful, and spent time on activities that were not in our contract. (Once, we did not have the correct floor protectors, but they conjured these up so that our wood floors would not sustain long-term pressure damage.) This is a truly professional organization that understands its craft.Anybody with a working truck, and with access to unemployed laborers, can hang out their shingle in the unregulated moving and hauling business. Do take care: I have heard some real horror stories. I truly love the concept of entrepreneurs entering businesses for the first-time with few barriers to entry, but they first need to purchase--and have experience using--specialized moving equipment needed to navigate difficult home situations. Manhandling a grand can cause many of thousands of dollars in repair costs, to a home and to the piano, but too many movers-and-haulers carry inadequate or no insurance. Worse, if a laborer is hurt in your home, you, the homeowner, may be liable, and your home insurance may not cover this risk.Finally, take care to avoid misleading promotions that appear to identify a moving company with another well-known local institution. Bad-faith advertising is highly correlated with a lousy business model. My friends have learned this the hard way, don’t you!
