My grandfather (Chelkonas), grandmother and their six children walked nine miles to church every Sunday, winters' cold, summers' heat. They did not always have the best climate suited clothing. My parents married in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.Growing up my brother, sister and I graduated from the grammar school, then to graduate from Cathedral High School. We married in the church. It truly is one of the world's most magnificent churches in the world. It is quite a priviledge to belong to such a traditionalparish.

Dennis Desmarais: Holy Name Church is now open for Masses & confession. Confession is held in the “cry room“ face to face with social distancing. The church is festooned with tape on the floors and blocking off every other pew. Communion is distributed at the end of mass after which the congregation leaves.

Rev Twohig,not the regular reverend there was at Immaculate Conception Chur h when still open way back but was allowed to perform tge services for my mom. Church itself is great and probably a terrific place of worship. Highly recommend it to the faithful on going to this church

James Bilodeau: SuperBowl Sunday evening 6Pm Mass...I arrived, while snow was still falling...over 95 % of parking lot, still snow-covered...not a single car in entire lot,yet lights were on inside the church...(maybe Mass was canceled?)I still took a chance, the door might be unlocked...I could at least, make a visit, say a few earnest prayers...already planning my next confession, ("Fr., I missed Sunday Mass...didn't know it had been canceled ")I arrived at the door, expecting it to be locked...Surprise! It opened!!I went in, I immediately noticed Fr.and his altar server, sitting in the outer sacristy, quietly conversing..Fr and I saw each other, and he arose immediately, I was expecting to hear " Sorry, Mass has been canceled " but instead he asked if I was attending Mass...I said " Yes" immediately, but followed with " If you are having Mass..?".He said he was, but he had been just questioning whether anyone would be attending...I assured him I was absolutely going to stay...and that was just the second time in my life, that I attended a regularly scheduled Mass, in a church, just for me!!! As a Catholic, (and by no means, would I consider myself anyone other than " just a Catholic", ) it was very special...Amen.Thank you to Father, and his server and lector, for making my Super Bowl Sunday, a very special one!(and not just because the Goat got #7!)

Lin Life: Masses are fine but the current priest and deacon there are clearly prejudiced towards young minorities like myself, especially the deacon! FYI: As a Catholic priest/deacon it is very hypocritical and wrong to be overly and blatantly judgmental/condescending of others and assume the worst of them over requested blessings. You should be ashamed of yourselves! I hope you change your ignorant ways because God is the ultimate judge! You should be grateful that I even approached and trusted you to issue blessings as a young devout catholic. This is why a lot of youth have doubts about the church and windup leaving because of people like you.Also, it is very offensive to hold-off/give subpar blessings based on your wrong judgemental views. I attended and supported this church for a while and the few people I met were nice. My intuition revealed that the priest/deacon exude bad vibes which was confirmed after my first public incident when I was still new. This private incident showed their true colors and is the final straw! Thankfully, there are other catholic churches available with priests/deacons that are grateful for new members and actually fully follow the word of God. Good riddance!

Jeff is really gifted with the holy spirit. He is very kind and his wisdom surpasses his young age. I am not a parishioner, but would be.
