Mark arrived to install propane tank and then told my husband he did not want to do the job because he did not want to run the line that far after we had agreed to pay the amount that they had asked. Was very rude to my husband and argumentative. We will find a different company to buy our propane tank installation and future purchases from.

They strong-arm you and then patronize you for inquiring about helpful information, lack of moral. They think of themselves as a King and you as the pawn when it comes to monetary and community dealings; the consequences of this show a strength in extreme lack of compassion. In our world, full of lies and deceit, turnpikes and muddy mounds, and the broken strings of hope, this company will not make much effort to lighten your load... but they will gladly add to it.

Joan Kennedy: HORRIBLE customer service!! I would not recommend this company to anyone! RUN!!! The worst experience I've ever had.

The woman who we spoke with was very nice and answered all of our questions about switching propane companies. The tech that came to the house was great, arrived on time, worked quickly and was incredibly polite. Even the propane delivery driver was super nice. We are so happy we switched!

Brian Saloio: We have been loyal Suburban propane customers with the Belchertown MA branch for a little over a year and we have had no complaints until now. We have been good customers and haven't missed a payment. The neglegence of this branch has been unacceptable. In April of 2022 we adopted two dogs who have access through a dog door to the backyard where the tanks are. We haven't had a problem with this until our past two deliveries where the driver felt uncomfortable entering through the gate, which is completely understandable. The problem is that when they called the day before, they called my fiancé's number which is not a good number to reach us at. Luckily I was home so I was able to bring the dogs inside. We told them to call me on my number from then on. The next time they came around (which was 12/23) they AGAIN failed to call my number and only called my fiancé. They came, saw the dogs, and called us to ask to bring the dogs in but this time both of us were working so we were unable to get there in time. The delivery driver told us over the phone that he will come back next week and we again never received a call. Now, 11 days after we were supposed to have a delivery, our tanks are empty and we have no heat or hot water until they refill them tomorrow. Luckily it is only going down to about 35 degrees tonight. If this was a colder night we could've had a large amount of damage due to burst pipes or we or our dogs could have suffered serious health conditions or even death due to the cold. We called the office in Belchertown with good intentions and they very disrespectfully explained that it would be a $200 after-hour delivery fee even though it was their failure contact the correct number. I offered the possible solution of delivering to us on Mondays in the future because I am home from work and she immediate declined without even a thought. The customer service rep was extremely rude and unhelpful and this mistake may have been forgivable if she was willing to cooperate, but she was not. She claimed that she didn't have my number on file when I know for a fact that she does because I gave it to the customer service representative last time we missed a delivery and I gave it to the delivery driver. Also, Both the office and the driver have called me on this number. They never offered us any alternative solutions (like moving the tanks outside the gate for example) and every possible solution we offered was immediately shot down or ignored.
thos thos: Much better company than what we had before. Suburban Propane treats customers with respect and they follow through in a timely manner. Wish we were with Suburban 10 years ago; would have avoided the yearly hassles.

We were told that at some point over the next week, a technician would come around and would call us when they were available. Scheduling an appointment was not an option.We are now out of propane, and unable to cook food at home. We will not get a delivery until Monday the 24th. There was no sort of emergency delivery offered, even for a fee.Luckily, it's just food and not our heat.It was made clear they would not be able to help any further and that we were stuck in our situation.I can see below that when Jim Pohler had called about a propane smell, he was able to get assistance right away. When we called, they did not really seem to care.It was made plain as day that my family does not matter as customers, and since that is the case, I am sure Suburban Propane won't miss us as customers.I am glad to see many others have had positive experiences with them. We will go look for another company that can actually provide our family with at least that same level service as well.

Anthony: I booked a reservation at this location 4 days in advance. I called the day before to confirm that the trailer was available (after reading a lot of bad reviews) and the employee confirmed that they had it. When I arrived, I was told that the trailer was not available. After driving 3 hours from out of state, this was the last thing I wanted to hear. A call beforehand would have been great. Thankfully, another uHual in Chipoee had the trailer.

kc colter: This place is the absolute worst!! Has a very hard time finding a storage until. Finally found one here, smaller than I wanted but was the only one they had, so we took it. Booked it for July 1. Agreed to everything and reserved it on the website. Turned out we really needed to access the unit 2 days early so we called and made arrangements with someone on the phone to access the unit 3 days early. Was ok’d by the employee and was told we’re all set for a 5x10 unit. We show up today with a full truckload of stuff only to be told there’s no unit for us!! After talking to multiple employees and reservations on the website, we were told sorry the we dontt try run the website we only work here but we could rent you a 5x5 for the same price$100!!! Are you kidding me!! They were not willing to help us at all!! Told us there’s an open 10x10 but we can’t rent it to you!!!! Why would you tell someone that if you can’t rent it??? So extremely rude and unprofessional!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Now I have a full truckload of items and nowhere to bring them.. The lack of responsibility and refusal to help remedy the situation was appalling!! If you have a reservation here double and triple check it but my recommendation is cancel it. This place sucks!!😡😡😡

Everyone goes through cash struggles sometimes. Joe the owner reached out by emails and by phone to make sure my family didn’t lose our belongings. He worked with me and made arrangements to ensure he went out of his way to take care of us. Just by communicating our situation. 承軒江: I would like to thank Jeremy Cassesse. I relocated from southloop uhaul chicago to boston using 9 ford van. And because of the first snow of MA, the snow mixed with mud on i-90. I used up all of my windshield water and could barely drive on i-90. I can't see anything. Jeremy Cassesse help me replennish windshield water and I can resume my grand journey from chicago to boston downtown.I don't know Jeremy but he help me even if I only rent the van from chicago south loop uhaul.Million thanks:)
A P: Posting this several months later after getting safe distance from the experience. Not much more to say here that hasn't been said in spades by a zillion other reviewers here who also were left with a truly astounding lack of service, but I'll try. I'm not quite sure how the hiring process at this location works, but I have at no time in recent memory have I seen such a total, 100% lack of training or urgency of any kind. You'll get better service at Cumby's. UHaul Guys: YOUR BUSINESS IS TO HELP PEOPLE WHEN THEY MOVE. YES, this means we are in fact in a hurry. TRAIN YOUR STAFF IN ADVANCE. And if they can't complete the basic functions of the job, which mine could not, then don't allow the three other staffers plus a manager to literally stand there watching him while I sweat through my clothes with the anxiety of dealing with this entire scenario solo. The two stars are for the one female staffer I encountered on a totally different day who really knew her way around packing materials and was kind and helpfu. I almost fought the charges with UHaul or my credit card company and then decided to just count my stars I never, ever have to see this place again. Ever. Oh, and be prepared to fight with them about the mandatory insurance ridiculousness which is the way they make money. Bottom line: beg, borrow, or steal another moving vehicle or start saving now to hire pros for your next move, because life is too short for this nonsense.

We were supposed to have a trailer hitch installed in Chicopee but due to a corporate error we were scheduled for an install when the person who does that work in Chicopee was not going to be in for another 4 hours. The Chicopee manager called this location and the Springfield location was able to fit us in with no notice and get the job done even earlier than we should have finished in Chicopee in the first place. Thanks so much for a great experience, Springfield U-Haul!
Joey Burr: I’ve had to rent U-Haul equipment three times in last two months. Each time has been a pleasant experience. It seems like they are pretty short staffed over there but they’re still super efficient. I had the pleasure of working with the employee Darrell Smith two out of the three times I was there and he went above and beyond to make sure I was all set with everything. He was very friendly and courteous! I really appreciate his kindness and willingness to help. Good customer service is hard to find these days so It definitely needs to be recognized! Keep up the great work!

Rob Pellegri: I reserved a truck 3 or 4 days in advance for a 48 hr rental. When I came to pick it up they informed me they didn't have the truck and sent me to the Chicopee location, saying that that location had the truck I needed. Arrived at Chicopee to find out that the Boston Rd. representative had lied to me because the truck that Chicopee had was only available for 6 hours, not 48. Ended up having to go to a third location to finally get the truck I needed and wasted half of my day that I was supposed to be using to pack and load.

Quadco Joe (Quadco Joe): I had such good luck with Superior fuel but since Toberts energy took over it has been noting but trouble. Today I was quoted a price via email. I called and placed an order based on the price quote. The representative called and said he can't honor the price they quoted because he can deliver for a few days and I have to pay the price they decide the day of delivery. I spoke to customer service and the gal said she would take care of it that it wasn't right. The rep called me back and feed me the same line of BS - again.I'm utterly disappointed and unless they can be a honest, upfront business I will no longer be using there services.
Amanda Klimak: Horrible Customer Service!I have been a customer of Superior Oil (which Roberts Energy purchased) for over 20 years. I am on auto delivery and when I returned home from vacation yesterday at 4pm (a weekday mind you) I called to let them know I was out of oil and my house was 44 degrees. Instead of immediately sending someone to fill my tank and start my furnace, which would have happened immediately with Superior, they told me I had to wait until the morning because their deliveries were done for the day.I advised her it was their mistake, as I am on auto delivery and she said that I must have used more oil this season than regular and had to wait until the next day regardless of the temperatures.Rather than freezing all night, I immediately called one of their competitors and they came within the hour to deliver and have lower pricing.Needless to say, I cancelled my service first thing this morning.

I received no phone call or email from ANYONE regarding the position. As applicants, we are expected to knock it out of the park when speaking with a potential future employer. Unfortunately, employers can be as rude and unprofessional as they want.I would not purchase anything from this company nor would I expect them to supply the right product in a reasonable amount of time. If Roberts Energy cannot make a 30 second phone call to say 'no thanks', they clearly aren't successful at much. Shame on their unprofessional arrogance.

Erin Barriere: If I could give Robert's Energy 1 star I would.I am working as an elderly advocate with a 73 year old woman who ordered Kerosene oil from Robert's Energy in Springfield, MA. They delivered a full tank of oil (not the ordered Kerosene). The system stopped working that same evening. When the woman called Robert's they sent a technician out to pump the tank and refill with Kerosene but the system would never run again. The technician told her the system was a fire hazard and needs to be replaced. The system worked fine before they filled the tank with oil instead of what the customer ordered.This is an elderly, Vietnam Veteran on a fixed income. The kerosene fill was a gift from a family friend. This company left her with no working furnace and no heat in 20 degree temps the week before Christmas.Do not use this company, very dishonest and refuse to correct their mistake.
Christopher Kapp: Contacted them through cashheatingoil and was assured I'd have a delivery today and wouldn't be charged until the delivery was made. Needless to say nobody showed up, nobody called and my card was charged. Upon calling I was told someone from dispatch would be in touch with me immediately, that was 2 hours ago. My next call will be to my credit card company and the police. This company is extremely unprofessional and should face consequences for conduct like this. Stay far away!

Larry Vaughn: Made a deal with this company..worst experience ever and I've been in business for 30 years..they came in making a lot of promises they did not uphold.. last winter all fuel jelled up and froze all my equipment and I was not the only customer that this happened to.. This year they now want a 250.00 rental fee monthly x 3 tanks after doing business with them for 2 years. Beware don't believe in any promises, they wont do what they say they are going to.
