Robinson Kanagaratnam: I went to pickup scarp material 7.00 am , no one front me but till 8.00am wait for scale then took 3 hours to get load , other places done with in hour like scarp material total 4 hours 😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️
Regal Randy: Not a bad place. If you have a relationship with the people and are a regular they definitely treat you better then if you're a random customer. I used to go here with my father and they treated him very well, never any problems. Went by myself a few times and it's a different story. I get that in this industry it's hard to navigate a customer/business relationship but companies like this don't really have to do anything to get business. There are a few other options but convenience and location usually play a large part in how and why these businesses operate.

Sean Surprenant: I've had to change my rating because the last 4 or 5 months this place has gone downhill. I just loaded my van and went to the yard to be turned away 45 minutes before closing, now i have to unload everything. 3 of the last 4 trips the printer broke and I had to wait for over a half hour each time to get my weight slip. The atm malfunctioned one day and it took 20 mins to explain to the office that it was the machine not me. Today was outrageously inconvenient. I see the buisness responded saying they were open..... then why was there a guy on the scale yelling for me to turn around because your "closed" , obviously your not "always ready for your customers "

Todd Steglinski: First time customer based on a referral. Got there at 2:30pm. Rainy day. Had the place to myself. No line. Parked and went into the office. Met up with Carol who was great to work with. She worked hand in hand with me sorting through my mixed SUV size load of metals for recycling. She knows her stuff, very efficient, very friendly, never rushed me. Honestly kinda fun to work alongside. Told me she's been there 14 years. It's a no-frills atmosphere. Signage isn't the best once you get onto Napier Street, it's an industrial area, but just follow the road to the end and the entrance is on your left. Coming from West Springfield via 291 it's super easy to get to via Exit 3 / Armory St. I left with way more $$ than I thought I'd get. Would I go back? Yes...absolutely.

Mary Hamel: I have been going to this scrap yard for years now. Even if a year goes by and I just happen to pile up some scrap, the ladies in the office are very polite and nice to me and the owner who is sometimes there is nice as well. I always go there because I feel comfortable when I drive through.
Sean Donovan: First time there and quite disappointed. Very disorganized place, difficult to move your vehicle around in, most rutted scrap yard I've ever been to. It took way too long to get weighed, lines forming sometimes blocking the way out, and a very narrow one vehicle space to get to the aluminum area. I usually go to Kane's. I won't be going back to Acme any time soon. It just takes too long to get in and out, and with prices so low the way they are, better to go to a place that has updated their office practices and moves more efficiently.

Shawn Summers: I took an industrial lead battery , the casing is steel and the top is plastic , the owner told me to get educated and attempted to pay .12 a pound . Earlier in the day I was quoted .30 a pound . The owner was so kind to tell me I could take my 2000lbs battery back , he wasn’t expecting that I would . I took it to Kane scrap in Chicopee where they didn’t bat an eye at the plastic on the top that weighs 6 lbs or think about the steel casing …. They paid .24 lbs . Be aware , this guy will take advantage .
Jay Benoit: Nice people, super easy, fair prices for metal. We had to get rid of an above ground pool. First time there so wasn't sure what to expect. Driving up it was a little intimidating with 18 wheelers all over the place but the office staff couldn't be nicer. Ride up on the scale, get weighed, yard staff shows you where to go, unload, get weighed on the way out of the yard and collect a check. Bing, bang, boom, done!

Today was a totally different experiance for me,, i had did a pre-weigh of some very large ALUMINUM electrical equipment, i knew the biggezt peice was 60 lbs and had 2 half pound steel extensions now aluminum was quoted at 61 cents pound over phone so other 3 peices wer 35 lbs each thats 165 lbs all together at 61. a lb i walded out with 59.20 u do math all i got say

My wife found this place on google. I packed up my mini truck and drove about 8 minutes from my house. Was greeted by Bill who looks like Axle rose. Very helpful as it was my first time there. The whole process was great. He was very helpful and fun to work with. Parked my truck after weighing in to see the weight of my truck, walked in showed my military ID got a check and a Thank you have a nice day! I said have a greets day. I left smiling and happy. Most definitely will use them again. So much better than the scammers at other scrap yards. Highly recommended!!
