ADT Security Services: what do users think?
DucDucGoose: ADT is the most dishonest company I have ever done business with. They also own a company called Defenders. It’s a “license distributor/vendor” they use as their thugs to do their dirty work and then claim it wasn’t them. The majority of ADT clients have absolutely NO idea that it wasn’t ADT that installed their system and have to find out the hard way. I know, I’m sure it’s hard to believe. Do your research and look at this Defenders company. If you like throwing money away, being lied to and scammed then ADT is right for you! Please, Google ADT/Defenders lawsuits before doing business with them and DO NOT just take it from ADT customer service because they will lie to you and say anything to get your business. Look it up and see for yourself.
Eren garcia: I got my cameras in 2020 when I bought my house and installation was quick and everything seemed fine until things started happening in my neighborhood and not once did my camera get anything. I had people leave trash and carts in my driveway, throwing rocks at my window, even people keying the cars up front. Nothing was ever caught and I've called the company many times even told them I've informed the police and each time they said they'll check the cameras from their side . After the 4th time I said I wanted to cancel and they said I'd have to pay the remainder for services that was never working. And they said they can see about a no fee cancelation due to the problem and each week for a year I've been called saying why haven't you paid and I keep having to explain I'm waiting for the cancelation person's call. For a whole year I've been harassed to finally the specialist called and said no we won't wave and none of your calls are on record like it happened so you need to pay the rest of the remainder contract.
Jason Kennedy: Installers are professional and provide quality service. Pulse system is really a step above the regular security system.
The Rosenbears: If I was able to post zero stars if I could. We called for service two weeks ago, stated it was time sensitive. ADT assured us it wouldn’t be an issue. Here we are the day of installation our window was 9-12 (it’s now 2pm) and no tech. Husband called apparently the tech called out. ADT solution was to cancel the installation. When my husband called the manager said he’d get someone out to us TODAY only to get an email stating installation won’t be happening for an additional two weeks out. Poor customer service, horrible experience. We will be going to a different company. Buyers beware, if you have plenty of time, I suppose this will work for you however folks that have to work, that have tight schedules good luck!
Mary Pajak: I was pleasantly surprised at the level of professionalism from ADT. This was my first experience with this company. As a small business owner, it is very important to me to feel safe and protect my business. Sales Representative, Susan Mistalski was helpful and efficient. Installation and upgrades (to an existing system) were done on time and provided professionally. John asked the necessary questions to make sure I had the services and amenities I needed. He walked me through the system to ensure I was comfortable. I look forward to a good working relationship with ADT moving forward.
Wayne Fitch: This is not Wayne Fitch it is his wife Sandra Fitch. I am very upset with the way that the people at ADT treated me with my numerous problems with my security system. When I got the system a year ago the technician that came was not doing a good job. He left all the cables that ran in the house with bare wires showing. I had to cover them with electrical tape. When he also put the sensors on the windows in the middle of the night they fell off and they alarm system woke us up. This happened a few times and they finally sent a technician to fix it. He put the velcro tape back on the sensors and they still did not stay on the windows. I called again and another technician was sent to fix it and he ended up putting caulk and and electrical tape to hold them on. Now the cameras all went off line when our internet went off line. I called and they sent a technician to fix it and he told be that one of my cameras was not working. He would order me a new one. I did not do that and I had to call again to get the camera replaced. They told me that a technician would come out to my home on 2/18. I waited from 12-5 and no one showed up. I called again and they said the person on the telephone did not make an appointment. They said they could have a technician come out on Saturday, 2/20. That technician did come and was very nice. He did the job well and was very good. I had also asked to talk to a manager and they said someone would call me on 2/19. I never got the call. This experience was not very good. The only reason I went to ADT because they were one rated well. I am know going to have the system removed but they also tell me I have to pay $2300 dollars to end my contract. I sincerely don't think I should have to be paying for something that is not working. Right now my cameras are not recording any movements. I hate to have to call. But I will be calling the manager to speak to him. I hope this helps everyone to decide on the right security system.

TwoFeathers RV: Signed a three year contract. We did not want any maintenance with the camera system. We also got security for the business. The salesman still checked off the maintenance without permission and we have been over charged for three years now. We have signed paperwork many times including email etc. Many many phone calls up to last week even. Told over and over they will take care of us. How long do we wait? contract is up on the security in July. We will find another company simple. They keep threatening us. Telling us we are forced to pay the maintenance plan when we have done everything to cancel it. Its only $150 per service call if they need to come out for the camera. They have not been out once the new camera were installed and working. Only one camera that did not work right from day one. That is a warranty issue. No Charge there. Stay away from this company. I have held out on a remark on it. But, coming up on three years and still being screwed and getting cancelation emails every month. I am done. Stole our money. F them I have all the documentation.....
