Colorado Ski and Snowboard and Bike Shop: what do users think?
Caitlin Castillo: Adam and Eric were so knowledgeable and took the time to make sure we were fitted with the best skis and boots! Highly recommend!
Ab Bc: BUYER BEWARE - do NOT waste your time here. I have recently moved from out of state and am no longer with a local ski shop. I drove a half hour to stop in and grab a pair of boots and bindings hopefully during the end-of-season sale.A short man with a large beard approached me, after coming in from the parking lot (whom I passed walking into the store). I asked him what he thought of a Salomon boot and he immediately told me his boot fitter was busy waxing skis, not to waste his time, and that to try a boot on would be $25 dollars if he "even had my size," in a rude and accusatory manner. He then turned his back to me immediately, walked outside to the parking lot, and continued smoke a cigarette and talk to a woman in an Acura.I am not sure what I did to upset him so much, our interaction was solely based on me asking him about what he thought of a boot. I told the cashier to notify the store owner of this poor experience. She was red in the face from embarrassment having watched this entire interaction. She advised me apparently this man was the owner.I just came from a ski trip out west and had several wonderful experiences with boot fitters getting educated on what equipment work for me. I wish I just bought out there and bought a bag and paid the extra luggage fee. I gladly (and thankfully) will not be spending money in this place for someone who cares so little about customers. I have built many great relationships with store owners/employees in the past, relationships based on the love of the sport of skiing. Clearly, this guy must be a ski collector who expects customers to pay him for the privilege of looking at items. What a shame. Avoid at all costs.
Martín Requedi: Nice place and cheap if you rent for season
Jayson Payero: Terrible customer service. I dropped my board off for a tune up and wax. When I get home I noticed my board is warped on the other side of the bindings. Was told I don’t know what I’m talking about and refused to take any accountability for ruining my board.
Amanda MacArthur: Wasn’t able to find kids boots at the places in Longmeadow and Wilbraham, and they had great options here and were able to get fitted etc.
Kevin Zorda: Excellent service from Connor in getting new ski boots for our daughter. She’s a smaller size adult boot and he helped her find the right fit. As a Ski Patroller I appreciate the great service, knowledge and his patience finding the right fit.
Taylor Abbott: VERY PLEASED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAFF IS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL. I NEEDED ALL NEW SKI GEAR AND THEY WERE ABLE TO PUT TOGETHER A NICE PACKAGE FOR ME. HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING OUT CO SKI AND BIKE. GREAT BRAND NAMES AS WELL!
stacey shields: Great prices, great service! Granted, I had researched plenty before heading out to buy, but I was glad I was shown alternatives. Ended up with a boot I hadn’t even considered, and cheaper than the one I originally thought I wanted.
Brian Serewicz: EXCELLENT!! The people there really know their equipment! Great place to buy skins or bikes or accessories!! Great people!
Matthew Collier: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a great mix of gear to choose from. There's something for everyone here.
Agusti N: Pathetic service. Ordered an item, they sent me an email one week later telling me they didn't have in stock and never answered me again. Now i dont have my money or my item. Worst shop ever
Cristina Gago: Super reasonable prices on adults seasonal ski rentals
Jennifer Routier: The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to find bikes that suited our needs perfectly. They had accessories in stock, built, and installed it all for us! Quick and timely with getting us in and out and getting our bikes to us. Thank you! Would definitely recommend.
Joey Mandarino: Went in for mens snowboard boots after not being able to find boots but having a great experience in the Dover location. Incredible service, had all my questions asked (and then some). Got tips on lacing boots, snowboarding etc. After a few pairs we didn't find a good fit and instead of pushing me to buy suggested I look elsewhere and gave me tips on what to look for what is a good fit.
Daniel Kang: Got my snowboard there, good service and knowledgeable.Fair price for their gear in mid season.
Jason Ellershaw: This shop is amazing! Our family has been skiing for decades now and they never let us down here. We went in for our kids and the staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and pleasant. They don't try to up sell you on skis or equipment that you don't need. They all enjoy the sport and simply want you to enjoy it as much as they do. Local business for the win!Keep it up!
Ron Lassonde: My girlfriend and I went in just to look and gather information. Upon entrance to the store we were immediately greeted by a pleasant woman who happened to helping out another customer at the time.I explained to her that I needed undevided attention of someone who could educate me on the proper skis. She promptly turned us over to Matt whom of which I would I definitely conside a skiing aficionado!!Needless to say I quickly converted from a looker into a buyer!!
Eva Beder: I just came here today and was damn shocked at the inventory. It was awesome. Very nice selection of skis. And I found my dream skis!
Nicole A: Wonderful and caring staff. I have been going to CSS for years for all my snowboard needs and they always have quality gear for a great price. Support your local shop!
Mat Goebel: Came here with a problem with my bike tire. Was planning on buying a replacement, turned out it was a 30 second repair and they refused to let me pay. When my bike ACTUALLY needs repair, I'll bring it here because they're honest.
James Lacroix: Owen took care of us!!!Excellent job won't go anywhere else

Ski Sundown: what do users think?
Nicholas Doherty: For being in a hilly but not really mountainous area, this is a great ski resort. They have bunny hills ranging from extreme novice to intermediate novice, all the way to double black Diamond. A day out on the slopes here is a day we’ll spent.
God tawhid: Nice place to be
Eugene D: I wanted to like this place, I really did. Be warned there are no easy hills on this mountain for beginners. For a local spot it might not be bad, but compared to other ski places this one is pretty bad.Non-skiers: the inside offers some food and drinks. The food is prepared in advance and is sitting under heat laps (think highway McDonald's where you grab your own burgers). The food itself was pretty mediocre. For $17 my wife got hard fries, and a rubbery grilled cheese and soda. She was disappointed. The place was pretty dirty, every surface was sticky/grimy. The carpet in the lodge was so worn down it almost looks like vinyl flooring at this point. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was packed with swearing kids and teens, gave me middle school vibes. Sort of off-putting when the table next to you is full of tweens talking about how some old lady tried to talk to them.Seems like a local hang out for kids. Maybe best to go during school hours.Bathrooms were pretty dirty, although could be because we were there at the end of the day, hard to say.The bar was packed we couldn't get in, probably all the parents who ditched their kids elsewhere.Skiers: even in the discounter dusk hours I didn't feel like my ticket was worth it.The easy green trails have pretty steep drop offs, combined with icy snow it creates a pretty intermediate or advanced ski trails. The mountain itself is pretty small, which probably forced the owners to run the trails so steep as they didn't have the property/room to spread the trails out. There are bottlenecks on the trails that are no wider than 15-20 feet.I like to judge a mountain's difficulty level based on how many people are sitting down instead of skiing, this mountain had quiet a few people chilling and sitting down, unsure of how to proceed. The trails were also full of swearing teens, some flying down pretty recklessly imo.The trails have a sharp drop off from the snow to the tree areas, a few of these are easily 2-4 feet high, while great for jumps I can see it being terrifying and dangerous for a beginner to fly off them. The area at the base of the trail was a muddy slushy mess. The beginner area on the right side is a bit steeper than other bunny hills I've seen, the icy conditions also made it rough on those skiing there. Many were sitting down catching their breath. I saw very few people on the bunny hill, which are usually packed.Overall: I guess if you're a skilled skier/snowboarder and avoid the lodge then give this place a try. My favorite mountain in the area so far for skiing is Bousquet Mountain.
Scott Dowler: Great local ski spot. Great activity on their last day, pond skimming. Very fun to watch. See you next season.
Don Higgins: Great local ski resort, plenty of lifts, beautiful views from the top. My kids learned to ski there and now my grandkids. Highly recommend
Ely Xavier: Local, family friendly ski and snowboarding mountain...great for all ages; for learning and expanding your skills, or just to have some fun. Super friendly staff!
Anwar Khan: Quite a decent place for hiking in Connecticut. Staff are very helpful.
Jesse Edgar: Easy everythingParkingTicket purchaseLift access .All around great timeGood terrain for small local mountain
Alan Eheander: Had a decent time here previously, prices reflect the quality. Called multiple times to no answer(understandable), drove an hour out and the mountain was closed on a powder day... the voice message when called before leaving never mentioned the mountain being closed, showed up and called again and this time it mentioned them being closed. Poor planning and execution on the higher ups of the mountain. Things happen but there's clearly a lack of leadership. Should've gone to Mohawk, Powder Ridge, or Bosque. More bang for your buck anyways
Christin Knowlton: We had two great ski visits this winter. Both on the weekend. What a great mountain that offers so much. Don't let its size and CT location fool you. There is varied terrain and something for everyone. Lines were never long. We plan one last hurrah this Sunday.
Michael Colangelo: I grew up on this mountain... to return and see how updated it was and we'll preserved brought a smile to my face. Can't wait to go back
Peter Schenk: Just a great place to ski in Connecticut. Slopes are always well groomed and it’s still relatively inexpensive. Best part it’s not far away.
Timothy Longino: All trails are excellent probably best in CT for size, terrain park and quality of grooming. Close walk to the lift from base. Great artificial snow base 10 to 20 inches most places in March after a rain
Jonathan Hendrix: Really convenient, decent trails, and long-enough runs. Pistes are well-groomed despite this summer-like winter. My go-to local hill, and may get a season pass in future years. Makes for a nice day, but if you can ski for more than 4 hours straight then color me heckin’ impressed. Probably could save the $9 and not lose any value, but it’s also good to support local business, especially in a year when conditions have been really adverse. You wouldn’t know that from the mountain though - they keep it in good shape.
Samuel Styckiewicz: The mountain was packed with way too many little children. A lot of them did not know their lanes or to look out for other rides. Left after 3 runs.
susan clough: It looks a lot of fun to do in the snow
Monica Wasilausky: Be careful when purchasing online, as they have terrible customer service. We purchased tickets the night prior to go skiing (having been burned with sellouts during COVID), one of our kids got a stomach bug overnight and we were not able to go the next day. We emailed immediately the next morning before the ski day started, and asked multiple times by phone and email to have the tickets honored a different for my family to enjoy their facility. They refused to discuss it any further. We weren't asking for a refund, just the tickets we PURCHASED to be honored another day. Not only were they not willing to discuss it, but had a bad tone when discussing it, and said feel free to enjoy other CT mountains that have the same policy. We weren't asking for money back, the tickets were already paid for, we would have spent more money at their facility on food and drink, and they didn't seem to care. Terrible Customer service from management, from such a once great facility. I thought Ski Sundown would have had better Customer service and would have been more helpful and lenient on their policy as there is no cost to them, but unfortunately they have the same corporate feel as all the other big box mountains. We will be bringing our family and business elsewhere and I would recommend others do the same.
Lionel Messi: The staff there were very kind. There was a bit of a technical difficulty but they got it fixed a quickly as they could. I highly recommend if you are looking for a place to have a great time skiing and snowboarding.
S Abbott: Super friendly staff. Man-made snow during this particular winter. Still great fun. Go early midweek to avoid crowds.
Karim M: Really fun but cold
Zach Smith: Definitely a fun trail riding experience. Scanning everyone's tags to get on the ski lifts was a little unnecessary and caused quite a bit of back up. Friendly staff though!
