Donald: Middle of winter my snowblower decides to break. Needed a fast turn-around repair. Called M&M Small Engine Repair (4.2 miles from my house) explained my problem, carburetor related. They said @ maximum, one week turnaround. Fortunately for me, my bro has a minivan that seats fold into the floor; pickup truck with a roof. Dropped off, two days later, ready for pickup. They flushed gas tank, and carburetor; adjusted carb related parts. They called me up to say shave-plate needed 2B replaced; which I had forgotten about, and knew it needed replacement. Cost wasn't terrible, considering they replaced the shave-plate, and skid shoes. In addition to the carburetor; adjusting carb related parts. Plan to keep this business in mind for future small engine needs

Drew: I recently bought a hustler from S&D. Everyone was very helpful and considerate. I liked that I was able to test it on site before purchasing. Unfortunately, A couple hours into operation the left control arm stopped working. It would seem that the factory installed a non locking nut on the brake linkage, so it rattled loose. They came out picked up the mower and brought it back the next day. I was hesitant on shopping there with such mixed reviews but thus far my experience has been very pleasant. Based on this experience I will likely go in and buy some more equipment from there later in the week.

Strings 1043: I waited for two months for them to fix my mower. They were giving me misinformation and wouldn't call me back. I decided to get my mower back even when it wasn't fixed. Never again. Unacceptable.

Dave Scott: As others have stated, I'm not sure what these negative reviews are about. They are a small business and you may have to wait at the counter for help sometimes. I started researching ZTR's about a month ago and settled on a Hustler for two reasons. No.1 was the build quality and No.2 was the fact that they are made local (Excel Corp. / Hesston, KS). I wanted to support a local business ( I consider Hesston to be local) with my money since I own a small business in Wichita. I have purchased parts from S & D for years and they have always been very helpful so I chose them as the dealer I would purchase my Hustler Raptor X from. I originally requested a quote from S & D off of their website. I received a call from JJ later that day with a direct price quote. He told me I could come in any time and test drive one since I have never owned or ridden a ZTR. I went into the store the next day and was greeted by Stephanie who put me with David their mechanic who took me out to test drive the Raptor and explain the mower to me. David was very helpful and had answers to all of the questions I had. He was a top notch salesman even though he is not a salesman there. I went back inside to do some paperwork and arrange for delivery of the mower. While I was waiting I had a chance to watch Stephanie interact with several customers. I can tell you if you ever need a part or help with your equipment Stephanie knows her stuff. I was very impressed! My paperwork was handled by JJ who is also very knowledgeable and a good guy to deal with. He is a straight shooter. Overall I could not be happier with my new Hustler and S & D as a company. They will treat you fairly and give you the best deal possible. Good customer service is getting harder to come by these days and S & D definitely has great customer service. I do most of my own maintenance, but I am positive should I require service in the future, they will be able to handle any problem I may have. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up to S & D! Do business with these guys. They are top notch!!

Chris Vandal: Went in and asked if they had a relay for my mower as it didn't always want to start. Then they proceeded to tell me that those relays don't go bad and that I needed to check the battery. They just seemed very arrogant to me. Finally got them to sell me the part I needed and the mower works great. Sometimes the cotomers do know what they are talking about and need. If I wasn't in a hurry I would have just turned around left. Won't be back in.

John Walsh: Walked in to S&D and was immediately greeted and asked if she could help me and did she ever. I was looking for a Stihl weedeater and she blew me away with her knowledge of the products, accessories, and promotions. They didn't have the weedeater I picked but she found me one at another store in under two minutes. Excellent customer service had me leaving the store armed with knowledge and feeling confident in my purchase. Highly recommend!

Ryan: Had my mower fixed this past summer for $550. After mowing the lawn it was leaving a strip of grass 2 in wide while mowing. Called and told him the issue but didn’t really do anything after paying the $550. Now the blades are digging into the ground on a flat surface. Wants to charge again to fix,pickup and drop off or explaining how I can fix it. Choose a different company to goto waste of money and pricey for his work. Not worth it.

Marcio Duarte: Its unfortunate I had the experience I did because both Scott and his son were very nice, but my service was unacceptable. Dropped off my generator the week after Christmas, Scott mentioned he had some snow blowers to get to first and with new years coming up, he would only get to service it the week after. Totally understandable. I called 10 days later to ask about it, he mentioned he hadn't had the chance to look at it, that it was up on his list for his next project. Called the following week for status update because I didn't hear from him, he mentioned that it was currently on his work bench being service. The times I talked to him over the phone, I just felt like I was being given the old fashioned run around. Later that week on Saturday I decided to head down to the his shop with my trailer, I was going to bring my equipment home fixed or still broken either way. I get there and he tells me that he was just about to get it out to pull it apart. I was like absolutely not this is coming home with me today. It was tucked away between a pile of other equipment with things all over it, and in the same conditions as I brought it there. If I didn't go down to get it I would of been with out it for another couple months that's if I kept on calling and asking about it. I wish he was just more honest the times I called and said he just overlooked the amount he had ahead if me. I felt he just said yes to me leaving it to fix just to secure the business, but in reality I really needed it fixed and if he didn't have time it's ok to be honest and tell it how it is. Wont go back he has way to much on his plate.

I highly recommend this establishment It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, over an approximate four week period, including the delivery of the snowblower unit. The young lady working at the counter discovered that the part was on back order until late June. A man who appeared to be the owner said he may be able to take the part from an old Mower they are no longer using. He Insisted on giving me the part free of charge. You just don’t find this kind of kindness and Customer Service anywhere anymore. I would suggest this place to anyone, and not just because I got something for free. The shop is very clean and well organized. Very friendly staff!

He responded to me by the next business day. I was impressed just by those 2 brief encounters. It wasn't until I finally went in to meet Bob he really blew me away. This was hands down the best buying experience and customer service I have ever had in my life. He already had a mower set aside in the back for me on hold. Serviced and ready to go if I wanted it. After a few questions and talking a bit I decided to purchase the mower. It was the fastest and smoothestprocess.and I'm not going to go into full detail on what this gentleman did for me to ensure I was able to take the mower home right then and there but what he did for me made me a customer for life and I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the market or needing service. I hope Bob knows who I am if he reads this review just to know how truly thankful I am for he he did..He's a real stand up guy and I hope he stays in business for many more years.
