Thai Shallot: what do users think?
Slav: Worst thai food I've ever had, ordered the country shrimp pad thai. Got 3 whole shrimp in my order, super over cooked. Cheaped out on the penuts also, almost none on there. Came out like a solid brick all of the noodles were stuck together. Hardly spicey ( the county version apparently is). Flavor was decent I guess. Definitely not enough to make up for the rest of it. Did not finish my food. At least I got a pretty good container.
Rodrigo S: It's a small restaurant with only a few tables. Take out is very busy and brisk. The food is great. However I made the mistake of ordering the "Crying Tiger." It was too spicy for me, even when "mild." My server pitied me and gave me extra napkins and several refills of water. When she saw that it was not enough, she gave me a slice of chocolate cake to cool my palate down. Now that's service!
Amneris A: Love this place. Food is amazing. Super sweet waitress very attentive. Small spot very cozy nice and clean. I order my favorite plate (lady in green) delicious salmon.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chicken Satay …More
Antonio Colon Jr.: It’s a small cozy little spot. It’s very clean and quite. The food is delicious. The prices are reasonable. The portion sizes are good. My girlfriend loves the dish they call Lady in green. I like the chicken with spicy basil sauce and rice. If you have never eaten here. I recommend you stop by and and check this place out.
Jen Walsh: Amazing food, wonderful service. I wish I could eat here every night.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Red Curry, Pad See You …More
Todd Fix: From my experience, Thai Shallot is an excellent restaurant that truly goes above and beyond when it comes to both service and food quality. The service at Thai Shallot is fantastic - the owners and staff are friendly, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a positive dining experience for their customers. Their dedication to providing great service is truly admirable, and it's clear that they care deeply about their patrons. But it's not just the service that makes Thai Shallot stand out - the food is absolutely delicious as well! The menu is filled with a wide variety of Thai dishes, all of which are expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Whether you're in the mood for something spicy, sweet, or savory, Thai Shallot has something to satisfy your taste buds.In terms of ambiance, the restaurant has a cozy and welcoming feel to it that makes it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal with friends or family. The decor is tasteful and understated, allowing the food and service to truly shine. All in all, I would highly recommend Thai Shallot to anyone in the West Springfield area looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience. The owners and staff are fantastic people, and their dedication to great service and food is truly second to none.
David Lauzon: Food was very good. Decided to try something different and I’m glad I did. Was very clean and flavorful. Would most certainly try again. I had Mango Fried Rice and Chicken Satay

Larry Hazen: We love Shallot!!! We just found them again!!! We thought they were lost but moved within 2 miles of our house!!! Great attitudes and always great Thai!!!Kid-friendliness: It's small - 5 tables - so if you bring kids they can't run/move very much... If they are like my grandsons.. you might need to have a discussion early on...Wheelchair accessibility: Street level should be good

weather01089: Honey lime chicken my favorite! Thai custard also. Great quality food reasonable pricesm
Ben Brower: Horrible delivery from Uber Eats. A waste of money. Missing items, soup was all broth with only 2 small chunks of chicken and 4 slices of mushrooms. Pad Thai was bland and I ordered the spicy one.

SouLao'd Kitchen: what do users think?
Mimi Hernandez: I was dying to go here because of pictures and reviews.Well, overall, food was ok. Chicken was dry, and noodles were flavorful. Spring rolls were good, the peanut sauce that came with it, it was more watery, and the flavor was sour and spicy, not like the typical peanut sauce elsewhere. The 1st server that took our order was pleasant, but then a younger server came to "finish" taking out an order, and an appetizer was left out. I asked her if they had Mac n' Cheese 🧀 and she said, "The lady that makes them come later."Moving forward, the table next to us was brought an incorrect order by many items. I think there were very unorganized, different servers waiting on the same table, some of them very young, they seem they were younger relatives maybe? One thing that was super off-putting was this man, which I later learned was the owner's husband. He was loud, obnoxious, unpleasant, unprofessional, and unwelcoming, to say the least.I felt if I was eating in someone's family dining room instead of a restaurant. They were gathering at the counter and not paying attention to patrons. The food was ok,not amazing.Would I go back? Probably not.
Dan Danckert: Great price. Generous portions. Wait time was reasonable. Service was friendly and the space was clean and inviting. We will definitely be stopping by again!
Helen Tocci: WOW - that was one of the best eating experiences I’ve had in so long. The food here is AMAZING. So fresh, so flavorful, so so good. This is an entirely family run business - lovely mother / daughter team who serve their grandmothers recipes and provide such a sweet community vibe. The pho was some of the best I’ve ever had and everything was was just so delicious. Our kids ate every bite and asked for more. Do yourself a favor and eat here as soon as possible!
Ash “By Ash”: Poor quality
Elizabeth Lussier: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Fresh Bowl of PhoMore
Erik Powell: If I could give them 10 stars, I would. This place was AMAZING. From the moment I walked in they treated me as if I was family. Talked me through the menu with recommendations. The two items you see below were the BOOM!!! Go give them a shot. You won’t doubt it.Plus they are the highest rated place in Springfield. What do you have to lose? Trust me!
Bula Bob Destroyer of Worlds: Really great spot! High quality recipes and ingredients.
Ryan Swift: SouLao'd is an ideal hole-in-the-wall for amazing, authentic, Thai and Lao cuisine. The pho broth has a complex, delicious flavor and the Pad Kee Mao is subtly spicy with perfect texture to the noodles. If you're looking for a good local spot to grab Thai, I could not recommend this place more. Family run, incredibly friendly, delicious.
officialdjkruze: This family owned gem in the middle of Springfield is a place I come back to year after year. I travel to Western Mass once a year for business and seek this place out each time. Authentic Lao food made by mom herself! She also has roots in Linda Vista so big shout out for that. See you next time. Love from San Diego.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5Recommended dishes Beef Jerky …More
Kevin Le: great hole in the wall spot for a quick bite variety of different asain foods great food great service
Joshua Frank: The most delicious new cuisine I've gotten to discover! Sort of related to That but with special dishes I've never tasted before. Everything fresh, loaded with veggies, and every sauce homemade and distinct. Also, the people are super friendly and helpful in steering you to the best dishes. Except everything was a best! We are coming back for Lao's specialty, which has to be cooked in advance, Nam Khao. Don't miss this plqce!Kid-friendliness: Casual and friendly.
Kimberly Budri: Absolutely delicious food! We loved the spring rolls- they were so very fresh! The kids loved the sticky rice, meatballs and the beef with noodles 😊. The beef pho was absolutely phenomenal! What a lovely family owned restaurant.
Casiel: The food and service is amazing 🙏🏽😌
Alex Kreutter: New to the area, went off Google reviews and this did not disappoint. The family who runs this place are great, personable, and the food is outstanding! Will most certainly be back!
Jennn H: I've been craving pho for a few weeks and didn't feel like driving to my usual spot to get it so I was super excited when I found this place on doordash to deliver some to me. To my disappointment, I received a box labeled "pho" (see attached, you may have to zoom in to see the writing on the box, was actually kinda hard to simultaneously get a pic of the writing and the contents within the box) with 2 spring rolls inside. I DID order spring rolls and actually received a second box labeled as spring rolls with 2 spring rolls inside. So long in short of it, I received 2 orders of spring rolls and did not receive my pho. I contacted doordash and got my money back, so this review is a warning to the restaurant to check your orders. Highly disappointed that this had to be my first experience with them.
Kryssi Pasquarosa: This place is thee best !!! Food is super fresh and consistently delicious! Plus it is family owned. Easily our favorite spot in town to get take out.
Michelle Lesperance: The staff and atmosphere is kind and gentle. The food is yummy higher end Laos diner vibe. Feels like a family owned business.
Peter Chang: You know it's good when granny is in the middle of the action, throwing down in the kitchen! Delicious food, big portions, friendly staff. You won't be disappointed.
Celine Phommatham: Food is always fresh and amazing!! Great service and great food.
Esther Gonzalez: First time dining inside for lunch and what a welcoming place! Definitely a hole in the wall that is worth visiting. Most importantly food is extremely tasteful. 😋
Khamla Vorasane: Absolutely delicious authentic Laos food. Must try is the papaya salad, Nam koa, dry beef jerky with sticky rice. The owner and family is genuinely nice and hope more folks will discover this gem because it's worth a drive.

McKenzie Lyne: A group of 4 of us took their private cooking class and it was amazing! From the atmosphere, to the quality of the food, to the learning experience, we had a blast! Best Thai Food in the area. Did not disappoint!!!
Michael Dav: Absolutely delicious! I ordered a large amount of food for a party and all of my guests loved it! I highly recommend trying this place!!
Mo Oakes: So happy their brick and mortar is open for the winter months!! Grabbed a few things from their menu tonight and everything was amazing. Just like always food is full of flavor with fresh ingredients and sauces. I would definitely recommend!Vegetarian options: The weekly menu does offer a couple vegetarian friendly selectionsParking: They do have a parking lot for about 6 cars I believeDietary restrictions: The weekly menu does offer a few GF options
BeckyJean Thompson: The cooking class with Supi was awesome! I always enjoy Supi and Phil's food.....and to have the opportunity to cook along side them in their kitchen? Awesome experience. Thank you both for a fun time!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Catherine Mulcahy: Delicious food and wonderful owners! Highly recommend!
Scott V: Unique food that is delicious. I've been to the Agawam sit-down restaurant, I've been to many locations where their food truck goes. Very consistent.
Makayla Martinson: Tried for the first time yesterday and I can't believe how phenomenal the food is! Honestly some of the best I've had in my life - especially the mango sticky rice. I can't wait to try more :)
Shannon Hadley: Yummy crab Rangoons. The sweet chillie sauce was really tasty bit spicy.Takeout: Yes Curbside pickup: Yes …More
Steven Czerniejewski: You know that when you walk into the restaurant, and the first thing you see is the kitchen and chefs working...you're about to be blown away work flavor. Honestly, you probably can't handle all that flavor, no shot... prove me wrong. 10/10 would go again, they massively over deliver!
Dylan O'Shea: If you havent been here you need to get in here. Where to begin? I have enjoyed this wonderful couples food for a while from back when they were just a food truck and didnt have a brick and mortar store and they freaking deliver. This is food made with local ingredients, international inspiration, and love. Aside from the food I have talked to them a few times and they are nicest and most hardworking people. Pictured is a fried softshell crab sandwich with mango slaw and yuzu sauce, it was like biting into a warm hug. They make the best crab rangoons you can get your hands on, the loaded fries are not to be missed, thai chili street bowl transports your mind to the streets of Bangkok, chicken satay I can eat all day, the veggie spring rolls and wontons are 10/10. I'm very picky about food and can honestly say everything on the menu is great it's just a matter of what you are in the mood for. Yes it is more expensive than food court Chinese food but it's also not garbage. Parking is tight so be aware. The sonner you eat here the sooner you can make up for all the meals you havent had here. I'm still waiting to get some dessert...
Doug Ward: Authentic and delicious. We all got several dishes and shared and they were amazing. It is great to find a place that gets the heat right in these kinds of dishes. Particularly recommend the street pad thai. And pretty much everything else.
Margaret McNulty: Amazing food. Very fast service. Everything is delicious. You must try the Supi Fries!!!!Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: Yes Delivery: No Curbside pickup: No …More

Thai Place: what do users think?
Luz Flores: Omg love the pho bowl with the broth it is so delicious. I added a little bit of hot spice yum finger licking good. Even tho it doesn't need it but I wanted spicy. My friend invited me to come here and eat again. I was impressed by one thing that I wish naruto in ny had a bigger bowl for your food. This time I got the house pho but wish the meats had flavor, the chicken and the beef was bland but like always the broth makes up for it and the shrimp.
Lisa DeWitt: Travellers, Thai Place is a solid restaurant that serves delicious food. We went for lunch and we were not disappointed. The steamed chicken dumplings are yummy. They are delicate and delicious. The sweet soy sauce went nicely with the dumplings. The Tom yum seafood soup was good but there was a sweetness that seemed out of place in the savory soup. The pho was outstanding. Especially with the spice rack spices. The pad see eaw was very good. It is with black bean paste and to the sweet side. The pad Thai was delicious and perfectly cooked. This was a great place for lunch. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is with a smile. Check it out. We recommend.TLDR solid Thai food
eliza diaz: My favorite place to get some Pad Thai! The food is always on point
Justin Fernandes: My first experience at Thai Place was good overall. I specifically enjoyed the friendliness of the restaurant owner with his patience and joyous attitude towards me and my friend. My dinner selection of Pork Fried Rice was very well balanced in texture and flavor. The spice heat level was acceptable for the dish, not too overwhelming. However, my Thai Iced Coffee had too much ginger in it. I would suggest adding less. The atmosphere had one element that was strange to look at. Please consider removing the standing picture at the bar. It's a little off-putting. I was staring at it the entire time during dinner as I was talking.Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is at ground level, but the doors are not button accessible. Please call to request assistance.
Damian Cote: Good foodFood: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Mike Malone: Great place, great food, but the service seems to get slower when Simon is not around. Simon makes the place so amazing.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
KATHY Chen: Papaya salad & Tong Yum Seafood soup we ordered were purely Salt. You will need to either eat with the cabbage or drink a gallon of water with it.Pai Tai was very watery and again with Sour & Salty taste- yes it came like that . Another gallon of water please. If you Shrimp with Cilantro - do expect only 4 extremely salty shrimp with minimum cilantro. It comes with lots of vegetable underneath which is finally “NOT” so salty. However, we like the drinks, Typhoon & Red Dragon. That is about it :(
Anthony Devlin: amazing food, great atmosphere, wonderful staff. highly recommend to everyone
Dennis Mayboroda: Great atmosphere, fantastic food. Can’t beat that neighborhood feel
Joanna L: Their Thai tea is straight up sugar. Food tastes ok. The server just dropped off the food and never came back till the check.
aechmia Cote: Absolutely great Thai FoodFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Fried Ice Cream, Coconut Ice Cream, Thai Vegetable Rolls Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
stephen sowa: Prices have just about doubled portions or smaller not as good as it used to be sorry I used to love this place
Karen Forance: This is the best Thai food in the area, loved the food, atmosphere and service.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Denisa Budínská: Amazing food, great atmosphere (love the lighting) and super friendly service. I'm in the area just for a couple days and definitely planning to come back to try some other meals.(Lemongrass chicken, red curry and mango sticky rice)
Caro L.A.: I got a chicken pad thai. There was barely any chicken, it was all noodle. The sauce tasted good but paying 20 dollars for white noodles? Nah.I got spring rolls and the sauce was all watered down as well.Looking at recent comments, I hope the owner realizes it's not a good move to skimp on protein and get cheap on sauces. It just tells me the business is dying.
Jonathan Metcalf: very very good thai food. i will be back.
Janet LaRoche: Our waiter was the nicest server ai have ever seen. When we explained we had never been there he explained the menu. He told us things may be sweet but they could go light on the sauce. Our dinners were delicious! We are definitely going back!
Julian Jocque: Food is amazing, especially given the reasonable pricing. Servers are all extremely friendly and casual, atmosphere is low key while being well decorated and inviting. Nothing other than a 5/5!
Jennifer Vega: Simon, the owner is awesome, very inviting....love the appetizers and fried rice.
Linda Ashley: Always a pleasant experience. Smon and his staff are courteous and fun. Food is delicious. A hidden gem.
Geoffrey Gould: Probably one of the best restaraunts in western mass... Harrison Ford even knew to come eat here!Simon and the staff at Thai Place care about the customer experience and provide an overwhelming menu of of fantastic dishes. It's one of those rare restaurants where you get excited to try something new, rather than stick to the safe choices of previous visits. It's a sin to skip the appitizer menu and I recommend the spicy Thai chicken wings, golden cups, Thai Rolls and the best Crab Rangoon ANYWHERE.Thai place ramps it up even more with dinner choices... The many different kinds of curry, rice. Noodles, and my personal favorite, pho noodle soup always prepared to my own preference of heat. Absolutely love it.Lastly, this is also a great place to come sample some fantastic drinks.... The bar serves my favorite cocktail, "Thai me up" and they import fantastic Thai beer like Sing-ha and Beer Lau.Thai place should really be a regular stop if you're into good food!
