Local nurseries all were charging $30-50 for the same plants and shrubs. I am very happy with the quality and the service was great! All of the plants survived their first winter and are growing great

I live far from South Hadley and so I usually rely on delivery. Dave the driver is on time and contacts me if there is ever an issue. I am also very impressed with their seed mixes. Some seed germination takes longer but when it flowers it’s beautiful! Overall this place is a great nursery and I highly recommend to anyone near and far!

Burial Grid: I co-own a garden and landscaping business and have been a faithful customer at Wanczyk's for ten years, spending many thousands of dollars in the process. Last October we purchased two B&B Hinoki false cypress. We were a bit nervous about purchasing ball and burlap shrubs that had been out of the ground all season, so late in the year. We took the gamble, per the customer's insistence and within two months they were dead. The roots had decayed in the high clay content ball from sitting in the nursery lot, getting soaked night after night.Jump to today (May). For the first time in 10 years we returned items and asked for store credit but were met by a snide and rude manager who dismissed our concerns and told us that, as contractors, we didn't get any type of warranty ("it's CLEARLY stated if you were to actually read the guarantee clause"). $255 eaten by us due to a curious policy where professional contractors with plenty of experience and horticultural knowledge under their belt are not given any type of warranty. It seems to me that with the variables of improper planting, site-selection, etc removed from the equation, the onus of a plant's failure should fall on the garden center and/or grower. Wanczyk's is both.We will be taking our business elsewhere to the many other local nurseries and garden centers that we support on a daily basis (and whom we are confident would never treat a loyal customer this way).
