JimboJones Bos: Nice folks , they do great work at reasonable prices. I removed virtually all the painted wood from my 100 year old house and had then dip strip it to help me bring it all back to bare wood for staining and polyurethane. They saved me hundreds, if not thousands of labor hours worth of time. I Also used them to strip my original windows to get them restored and back to good function and appearance. As a former professional painter and woodwork restorer myself I am picky about the quality of service I get. These folks are about the best around , hands down.

Robin Winkler: I am so happy with my whole experience with these guys. I had four extremely wobbly old pub chairs that were in desperate need of repair. I called and described what needed to be done. They quoted me over the phone and said I could bring them in that day if I wanted. It was a week before Easter and I was hoping to have them in time for Easter but knew I probably didn’t leave them enough time.I did mention that it would be great if they could make that happen and they did!They are as sturdy as if they were new now and the price was very fair!I would highly recommend! A bunch of very nice guys doing awesome work restoring history!
Dan Davis: These guys were great. They stripped over 75 spindles for us and two columns. The came out clean, were super professional, and did exactly what they said they would.
P C (PCrating): Refurbished old cabinets in the kitchen and made them pop. Kitchen looked like major remodeling was done. The team is clean neat and courteous too. They also refurbished a 50 year old dining room set with hutch. Came out better than new. I wish I had photos to share.

Shannon Plummer: Nicest guy and job well done! I don't leave reviews often but felt the need to share my great experience. I had ordered a desk and while I was putting it together, the screw holes to the desk did not line up properly with the leg piece. When I called the company where I ordered my desk from, they told me they didn't have a service team in my area and I needed to find someone locally to help repair the issue. I saw great reviews here and since it was local I decided to call and see if they could help. After speaking with Jeff and explaining the situation, he came to my house the next day and was able to clamp the desk pieces together so the screws aligned properly. He was in and out within 15 mins. Not only did he come to my house and fix the issue, he didn't charge me for his service! Just had to share, if you're looking for a furniture refinishing place, please go here. I know I will in the future!

Mallory Stanton: I dropped off 3 chairs to be recaned in April 2021. Tim never contacted me to pick up my chairs. He hasn’t answered my phone calls, texts or emails. I even went to his place of business with no luck. It’s been over a year at this point. If this has also happened to you, please message me.

Tim Johnson, of Johnson’s Restoration and Repair, supports Rodman’s Furniture for people who purchase their warranties. He also works independently as a master wood craftsman and furniture repair expert and in November 2020 he coached me through the repair of my reclining couch over the phone. Had his techniques not worked, he reassuringly agreed to drive to my home in Boston with the equipment and parts necessary to replace any defective mechanisms. The furniture manufacturer had told me since the couch was discontinued (in only 1.5 years!) parts were not available. After multiple frustrating phone calls, Tim was the only one who had answers. In this era of tension and anxiety it was so refreshing to connect with Tim. He built trust very quickly and his expertise shines.

Elizabeth Wood Sullivan: Did a nice job restoring my great grandmother's writing desk. Workmanship is good however, no communication from them once they have your piece. I was told 3-4 weeks. After 3 weeks, I called. After 4 weeks I called. I asked for a small access hole to be cut in the lower back for laptop cord, when I got the fesd back, no access hole. I was told he'd return to my home the next day or two and that was over a month ago. No call or return of my calls to complete. Paid in full, $1150 including delivery back to my home. Again, while the workmanship is good, the communication skills are lacking.
