Positive Vibes: I attended the ICG Homeowner Workshop this past November 2019 and Irving from ICG presented on the topic of Smart Energy Saving Tips, How To Spot Roofing, Siding and Window Concerns, How To Find A Good Contractor and many other home related topics.I found the workshop to be extremely useful and helpful as I am in the process of remodeling my first home and I didn't know which project to prioritize since I recently bought a fixer upper. Jane Becker: We hired this company and Rafael because he made it sound that he would be our advocate through the construction. He wasn't. We were under the impression that he was going to monitor the work and he didn't.When I called because the builder forgot to coffer the ceiling and asked why did he not see it, his answer was that I did not call him, therefore he assumed that there were no issues. Rafael also engineered a cricket that should not be done in New England for high possibility of roof leaks. The plans seem to be very detailed but anytime we had a meeting during the design process and changes, they were not done to our specifications. Some items were left out at the end and caused us to miss things when builder did not deliver. There were no electrical plans at all and this detail caused issues and more money because the builder felt that we asked for too many lights. We got charged for the time the architect came to builder meetings by the hour. Had we known that we would have curtailed the time. His builder recommendation was also an issue. I'm giving 2 stars because we did get a set of plans and we did build a home based on them, but feel that we would have done better going to someone else.
