Brenda Nagel Goodwill: Our two small dogs Miki and Theo stayed at the Inn and Spa. We arrived to pick them up and saw them running with their new friends. They looked like they were having a great time with all sorts of dogs. I was glad we had them bathed, and they were nice a fresh for pick-up. It was great to review their 'report card'. Enjoyed reading the comments and learning more about their activities, new friends and stay. That really made me feel that they were really paid attention too. It put a smile on my face. Cal: I use to bring my pup here for boarding. The last 3 times I had attempted to reach them for boarding 2 vacations and 1 work trip, I NEVER received ANY responses back. I had called at various days and times of the day, left voicemails, sent emails as instructed by the Pet Hospital staff. Nothing, not even a simple, sorry we can’t accept your pet at this time. Very unprofessional and rude for a place that prides on being a local “community” for pets. Especially since my pup really enjoyed the place.

Love that the vet is right upstairs if your animal needs any attention while you're away. My dog has pretty bad allergies so gives me peace of mind leaving him there. The play area being turf is a great bonus so my dog doesn't come home all muddy / dirty. I'd say price is more on the expensive side but it's really worth every penny.

Kevin Anderson: We used to be happy with Community Animal Inn and Spa until recently. Something has changed lately. They have become very unaccommodating of late. We had a very important event planned for this weekend and made arrangements early to ensure that everything was handled appropriately in plenty of time to make the event. We asked at the time of the appointment if anything was needed to board our dogs for the weekend and was told that everything s in order and that both dogs were up to date on all necessary vaccines. However, when we came to drop off the dogs, we were told they could not take one of our dogs because she was not up to date on Kennel Cough vaccine. In fact, the previous vaccine had expired over a year ago. The kennel is attached to the vet office we use for our dogs' care and so all of the dogs records are readily available. When asking why we were not told at the time of making the reservation that the Kennel Cough vaccine was needed, the only answer we received was that we were told at the time of reservation that it is up to us to ensure all vaccines are up to date. There was no help offered for this situation like trying to have the dogs worked into the days schedule to receive a nasal spray Kennel Cough vaccine nor any other kind of help except to say that we could not be accommodated. Needless to say we will not be using Community Animal Inn and Spa for any of their services going further. We do not recommend this facility.

The doctor was good but clearly looking to add $$$ to my visit.This was just an exam to see if my cat could tolerate sedation due to her age. So the exam was $73.50 and the actual procedure $ 265.00.Be sure you check everything , I had an additional.59.00 for stool test..Not the most state of the art hospital but we got what we needed. Hold on to estimates and check when time to pay.

Brian Sora: Very happy with the quality of care at CAH with everyone I have talked to. I'm thankful for the care Dr. Levitt has provided my two dogs, and thankful for his thoroughness and expertise as one of my dogs was diagnosed with a significant heart issue. Now that it has been discovered we can make sure we take every step possible to assure he has the fullest life possible with the time we have with him. Thank you again and I highly recommend this hospital to anyone out there, especially those that may feel as though their current provider is not up to par with what your expectations are and should be.

CL Stimmel, PhD: We have 4 animals, so we expect to spend a lot on quality animal car. Community is expensive, but the doctors are very good. However, you must be prepared to deal with a largely untrained, unprofessional, and clearly under-empowered front desk staff that can’t handle many simple tasks without “checking with the back.” It’s a real annoyance and makes it tough to swallow the high fees and often over-subscribed practice. Still, if you can deal with that, I recommend this practice.

I used to leave my dogs with my parent's, but they are getting older and the dogs are too much for them now. One of the worker's upfront named Sam always treats you like family and makes you feel comfortable leaving your pets there. If I ever have a question, concern, or an emergency she is the one to go above and beyond to help me out.There is no one I trust more to watch my fur babies when I'm away. Plus, who doesn't love watching their pups play with other dogs on the webcams or photos posted on facebook?

David Stone: I brought three cats into this facility for grooming, two of them faired well but one did not, she wasn’t being cooperative. That’s fine. However, what I found despicable, is the condition they returned my cat in. She had been left to squalor in her own feces in her crate. When I called to ask what happens if an animal defecates in their carrier, they said they clean it up and put a pad down. This did not happen in our situation. She was returned to me covered in feces and crying for help. I will never bring my cats here again nor would I recommend anyone do so.

Mari Alkhamisi: My dog went here for 3 years. When scott worked there we had no issues ,then scott leaves and we get a new groomer who either isn't good at her job or doesn't listen to requests. Every time we took our pomeranian in we had to tell her that she missed something last time. His last grooming was the last straw when she almost shaved him down and trimmed his beautiful tail very short. I walked out because i was very upset and didn't want to make a scene and when i got home i called and was rightfully upset. I was met with rudeness and disrespect. They blamed me for not daying something on the spot. I was very upset and hung up. Fast forward to my mother calling to make a new appointment and they tell her that i was disrespectful and they no longer want to take our dog.

Taylor Norve: I brought my large lab for his first groom ever and I was very happy! You can tell the staff really cares for the dogs in their care. When we walked in, he was greeted with the happiest faces and excited hellos from the caregivers - and the 5 other dogs that came in after us, they knew the dogs and the owners by name…really reassuring when dropping your pet off for the day. When I picked him up he was happy, tuckered out, and smelled amazing! His nails were filed down nice and short with rounded edges. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Callie Petkauskos: DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE!! We brought our pup here for about a month and have already pulled him! My dog came home not once but TWICE bleeding from his nails with zero explanation. The first time it happened he came home with dry blood all over his paws. We thought oh maybe he broke his nail but shortly realized his nails were not broken but completely eroded. The next time we picked him up he came out from the back room bleeding all over the floor. We asked what happened and they said “he was digging/scratching.” my dogs nails were completely shaven down to his knuckles. We ended up bringing him to the vet because we were nervous about infection. I called TLC the next day to try to figure out what fully happened and the person who answered said she didn’t work that day and she will ask someone who did. She put me on hold and when she came back on the phone she said that the person (who was with him that day) said he was put in a room by himself and was jumping up on a fence (which was a different story than what we originally heard). She also told me that the manager would give me a call the next day and she never called me! Can you imagine this happening to your dog with zero explanation and zero sympathy?? Atleast have the decency to call us back and tell us what happened. Moral of the story is this place has ZERO communication and the employees do not seem to pay any attention to the dogs.

Ahad: I was misquoted the price of cat grooming on the phone, filled out the paperwork, and when I asked rates again as I was handing pets over, they named a much higher sum than we are used to paying twice a year. I had thought it would be convenient to have them groomed closer to home but it was a wasted trip to this practice with both cats. Wish they had been upfront on the phone.

She is so talented and great with all animals and just does a fantastic dog with my two shih tzus who aren’t the biggest fans of grooming. I’m so happy to have found a place and a groomer that I feel comfortable bringing my dogs to and letting come to my home. I would recommend them to any pet owners!

Terry Lady: I called to book a apt for my 4 dogs a Newfondland , saint benard , And 2 Bernese mountain dogs … the women on the phone said she will not except my dogs because the are big dogs and she has never met them.. which to me is strange… my dogs are professional trained , in order to get new clients you have to meet new dogs it makes no sense to me … oh well just overall bad customer service that makes no sense!! Luckily I found another grooming saloon that gladly took my dogs with no hesitation

Julie Lee: I tried to book an appointment to have my 14 year old dogs hair evened out for photos we are having done prior to having to put her down next month. I explained the situation to the staff who answered the phone and she was absolutely lovely, did everything to try and help me until the owner refused to let me book an appointment because I had never brought my dog there before. The staff member apologized and said she would have loved to help me but she can’t. My dog is fully vaccinated and used to going to the groomer but because she is a “new client” the owner refused. I will never recommend this place to anyone. A groomer in the same Millbury area was happy to help out given my situation and my dog was never a client there either.

Dan M: Generally very happy with them in the past but this last time my dog was there for a week and came back with a bad eye infection. I think I may need to find a new place after years of exclusively coming here. But a $350 bill for the stay followed by a vet bill and medication and a lot of worry about whether or not my dog will go blind (she is fine now) is enough that I'll start looking elsewhere next time.

Explained this situation and I was denied with no further information just because it is not a long-term situation. I did not tell her we are having a puppy of our own by August so we wanted to do the same for this puppy long-term. However, this just proves they only care about business and not having their customers happy.

Jay Son: My dog is not boarded under my name, so for the owner, dont respond stating this is the wrong business. My dog was boarded at Bark n Bubbles in Millbury MA and i will tell you this company is completely incompetent. The owner has no care for your dog and has been doing this 35 years which is sad. The entire staff has the same attitude as the manager, because why not, they are the one running the business. Your dog will not get properly cared for here and will be a risk of getting sick/injured. They do not have any recollection of how my dogs injury happened. STAY AWAY!!! If you love your fur baby. I beg you.

Brandy Mercado: Picked up my dog and she had a mouth , ear and a worsened eye infection. $300 + vet bill and boarding “didn’t realize anything was wrong” and told me she was perfectly fine when I called multiple times. Very unprofessional, do not leave your animals here ! My dog came back traumatized. The medication for her eyes was not giving to her to the point that her eyes had visual discharge ( as stated on the medical papers). Her mouth was very visibly swollen. The front desk was notified TWICE. Obviously they have bad communication with their employees. Once on pick up, where the front desk told me themselves they did not put her eye cream on. The second time I went after the vet appointment and they told me they’re manager was not their but they would give the manager my number so they could call us. THEY NEVER DID. My dog is definitely traumatized who knows how long she had to suffer in pain there with her allergic reaction.

Needless to say I was a wreck to have her boarded for a week but the crew at BNB answered all of my fb messages, posted photos, and gave my Dena the time of her life. When I went to pick Dena up she didn’t even want to leave. She wanted to stay with Julie and continue her little vacation! Kaelin Andersen: Update: this review didn’t initially have any comments, I just gave a star rating but as you can see below, the owner responded to me—my dog doesn’t get boarded under my name and I am not confused. If you’re reading this and considering leaving your dog here, I would urge you to read the other one star reviews here that mention the same issue, selective isolation of dogs for no real reason. Same happened to mine and that’s why I’m upset. Nobody wants to see their dog scared and upset and then be dismissed. Also please note how the response from the owner is always the same—there is “no record” of their dogs. This place has a bad vibe. Trust your gut if you have a weird feeling about this place, I wish I had.

And that's what she did, so we'll be going back tomorrow.Was a day care customer here for 10+ years, even before the current owner. After retirement and the business reopening after covid closure in the spring, I was able to bring my dog for day care only once a week. This summer when we picked up our pup we were told not to come back anymore unless we can commit to at least 2 days a week.

Suzanne: Very unsanitary..especially the cat housing..very dangerous for a kennel considering how it creates a breeding ground for disease. The malpractice is definitely due to the owner, whose treatment of her employees is upsetting.

Bailey L.: Kennelled two dogs for four nights. One came back bleeding from an infection, the other hobbled on three, open and bleeding sores on all paws, and eye sealed shut. After spending $500 on boarding for four days, so far the vet has cost over $600, with more testing and visits coming up. On a daily basis I need to treat numerous ailments including a cut eye, with numerous prescriptions. I called to ask for some sort of good faith agreement on compensation, but only heard that perhaps I bumped my dogs head on the way out, or I should have told them he had sensitive paws. When you have dogs running on gravel and not grass, they will get cut up. I’ve never taken a dog to the vet after a kennel stay in years. They admitted this happened to others as well. The owner is relaxing in Florida, and feels losing my frequent boarding and grooming at her place is better than helping me pay the vet bill.

They know my dogs by name when we walk in the door and I know that if they are staying for a night or for two weeks, they will come home well fed and exhausted (and that's saying a lot for my high energy little pup)!
