Worcester JCC: what do users think?
Bev Peña: The tour was great, we joined immediately as a single parent family. The membership fee is great for what they offer.I enjoy the gym, they advertised babysitting on 3 days of the week, thought I could go in on those days. My teenager loves Basketball and they offer open gym on certain days.I quickly noticed in the women's locker room how filthy it is. The floor was disgusting. I mentioned it on 2 different occasions, they pretended to show concern but when I checked again, the floor did not look any different.Babysitting was cancelled way too many times which limited when I could go. I signed up for texts. At least this way I would know of cancellations ahead of time.My teen has a tough time in the gym, open gym gets pretty full and there is nobody to monitor. The men intimidate the younger kids and take over the gym. They have a great basketball program for kids, which is probably the only good thing about the JCC.The fitness area is small, has a limited amount of machines and areas for weight lifting. After 4pm is the craziest time to go.Finally, I chose to workout earlier in the day but that's when the personal training goes on and the female trainer takes up several of the equipment I normally use and not to mention takes over the mat/stretching area. She never cleans the area up as it says on multiple flyers hanging in the gym nor does she have the clients clean the areas they use. It became very aggravating.I changed the membership for just my teenager to go.I will have to find a different gym to frequent.
John Di Anni: Rude staff
Alemayehu Bekele: The convenience of this location to our house is greatly appreciated. There's something for everyone, from babies to grandparents. If you have kids, you'll appreciate the day care services available to members. It's a sanitary environment as well. Most importantly, the front desk staff are fantastic individuals. As for the kids, they have a ton of great programs during the summer and winter months.
A F: They changed the time for the spring basketball games last minute from 3:45/4:45pm to 1:15pm on Sundays after I had already made the payment based on the winter schedule but when I requested my refund, they said it would take a while to process & 3 months later I still haven’t received my refund. When I emailed the Mikalyla S. who had taken the payment she never replied! Disappointed & will never sign up my kids here ever! After posting this review my money was refunded back to my account & they even contacted me!
Leo Finkel: I've had a lot of bad experiences with this place. There were very few employees that were kind-hearted the rest had unpleasant attitudes. I've gone here for about 5 years on and off and am writing this review from a friend's account to avoid being identified. The prices have also skyrocketed in the past year or two. For a small gym with unwelcoming employees, the price is most certainly not worth it.- Fellow Worcester Friend
Lisa Balch: Love the pool & the entire aquatics staff!
Cynthia Stone: Great exercise program. Focused on health more than appearance. Wonderful instructors.
JESSE RITZ: Great place to exercise and meet other members of the community.
Christine Sparks: I exercise at the JCC about 5 times a week. The fitness center is light and airy and has a full variety of machines and free weights. The fitness classes are wonderful. The instructors are cheerful and knowledgeable. The fellow members of the gym make you feel right at home. It is a great, supportive environment. The free child care pretty much saved my life. Free childcare is offered Mon-Fri from 9-12 for a total length of 1.5 hours. This gave me time to exercise. Plus, my son loved playing with the other children.
Nate Hafer: Great after school and summer camp options - lots of fun activities in a safe, welcoming environment. The outdoor pool is awesome in the summertime!
Leslie Degenhardt: Both my children attended preschool here and I can't say enough about it. My daughter is now 8 and still thinks back with fond memories. The preschool was life shaping for my son and daughter. Between the superb teachers and amazing director and curriculum, we knew immediately that this was the perfect choice for our children.
Susan Begley: The Worcester JCC is a great place! My family has had a membership for years. The staff are friendly, helpful and always willing to assist. I love the fitness classes, especially RPM & SPIN! (Debbie & Heather are the BEST!) Every day I go, I feel welcomed and see friends who also love the JCC!
Steve Agolli: Great place to work out, very clean and friendly. The indoor and outdoor pools are very nice and clean. Gym is nice, with very good equipment.
Yin Guo: It is very good facility, people are very nice. And gym equipment are very functional too.I am be a member more than 5 years. I like so much.
Nick Ariskin: I am JCC member since 1992 and this is for the reason - it is great facilities and it is a great group of people - staff and members. After a while the workouts atmosphere matters a lot for your health for your mood and 26 years of membership it matters for your Life!
thatmemekid: Great atmosphere! Much cleaner and less overpopulated than the YMCA. Staff are much more helpful and engaged in their programs!
Nancy Dube: Lovely new facility. The Worcester Job Seekers Network is hosted here every Monday from 8:00 am - 9:30 am. The group is free and open to the public.
Curtis Lheureux: its cool
Joseph Cancelmo: Great staff - super clean too!

WPI Sports & Recreation Center: what do users think?
michael burke: Daughter was there for championships. Great viewing and free parking
Kerry Donovan: Limited seating for large swim meets
Kyle McFatter: Fantastic, all the weights and exercise equipment you need, plenty of space, fantastic all around.
Savithalal Birali: Love the pool and seating inside as well as outside. Lots of parking spaces and lots of food placed nearby
Louis Keen: Seating is poor
Suzanne Hoey: The venue was wonderful. However they booked themselves so fulll that there wasn't enough parking room. Some elderly people had to walk quite a distance from the road into the venue due to this. If it weren't for the parking situation I would have given them a five star rating.
Gene Anderson: Great venue. Excellent view lines from spectator seating.
Abigail Epplett: Beautiful sports facilities, along with great student-athletes and coaches. I really enjoyed competing against them while in college.
Ian here: I was wondering if the basketball court is public
AS A: I hope add trining classes for students
Sushmitha Belede: They occupy badminton courts and play volleyball all the time.
connor finn: A good college gym
Arvand N: The turf is ok, the rooftop turfs a little better than the one on first floor.
Killian Onwudiwe: Good facilities...place for good relaxation
Bridgette Lynn Skiles: Beautiful facilities. Love WPI
Brenndan Teeter: Great pool!
Lucy Chivers: I love to swim, and this is an amazing pool! It's a little cold, but still amazing. Love the lanes and warm down pool. WPI is the best.
Andrew Van Ostrand: Great campus had a robotics competition there was really fun
MHT: Nice place for workout. Clean environment. Multiple indoor courts.
Elif Asar: Pool is pretty big but I have seen better college gyms. The machines and the floors aren't clean. They should be cleaned more regularly and each machine should have a disinfecting solution along with wipes. Studios have dust piling up.
Gerard Donahue: Nice to see the MVCC finals there

Roscoe Porter: Great place friendly staff just don’t come at 5 AM. I need all the weights.🤣
Maryjane Greenfields: You can't go wrong here, at any age! Join, add muscles 💪, drop extra weight, or put it on, if too thin. Follow up Physical Therapy, doing what they surest here, & heal better, faster, & rebuild your body to its apex.
Virginia Lynn Rose: The Central Community Branch YMCA has the best Zumba Instructors ever.Wednesday 6:15pm-7:15pmFriday 6:15pm-7:15pmZumba is cardio fitness dancing.Zumba feels like a party.Come join us. All are welcomed.Age 8 and up.U don't have to know how to dance to Zumba dance. If u like to dance then please come join us.For more information contact the Central Community Branch YMCA
J K: 3 floor YMCA. Great pool and exercise equipment.
Abigail Baez: Perfect location for a ‘City Gym’, clean, so much more than I had expected. After swearing off gym memberships for life, clearly this place is doing a lot right for me to join.
Val Casagranda: The staff is great in the after school and remote program!
Avaシ: I just don’t like it at all the staff are rude and they tell your parents everything
Robert Grimes: #1 I think it's pretty rotten that I was charged all of March. Then they bill my credit card for April 68.00. They're closed. Should not be billing no one. Very disappointed in the Management. Reported people more than once. Even filed a formal complaint of people on their cell phones in the Locker room, Steam room, and Sauna. Peoples privacy should be respected. This is so wrong. So disrespectful. They do nothing about it. I may be calling news center 5 and tell them to investigate this if I see it 1 more time. Which I will. Happens every time I go. Refund us our money.
Shanieka7: I miss the classes they had, Monday through Thursday. I would like to see more group fitness classes offered.
Irene Magana: I like that it has tons of equipment available
Detyre E posaçme: Bad music always lauded on purpose by workers ,l am not using anymore this gym, bye,l am using different gym now ,you have less costumer now
Marcelle Champagne: Love the classes!
wilDBeast101: My only complaint in this place is that some workers are kind of rude and I don't like that
xiu xiu chen: Today was very disappointing. The children were soaked into the pool. Lifeguards told us that only birthday parties are invited to the pool. This is a public place, not a private party. Can we not swim at your birthday party? This is very unfair to us
Rachel H: Why does it take more than 8 days and more than two requests to get an application for summer camp sent out? I've been told TWICE now by two different people that it would be sent out. What is the problem? Why can't people do their jobs? If this place is supposed to be serving the community, how can community members enroll their children if they can't get an application? MIFFED and DISAPPOINTED.
Amanda O'Malley: This branch doesn't respond to applications for membership other than to say a letter is in the mail, but it never arrives.
Lana Sadeq: Pool is so clean
Brian Gar Cohen: I love this place
Stephanie Cleveland: I like it here just bad area/location.

New Start Brain Injury Community Center: what do users think?
Michelle Finnimore: I was denied asked to leave 😔 😪 because I was fighting for my service dogs rights. According to EDA act service dogs should be able everywhere. Now with that being said I was told only the manager Steven's service dogs was allowed no other dog 🙄 but his is allowed I showed my paperwork n told them he is a working service dog but they instead proceeded to say I was loud n aggressive to avoid the main issue of that my service dogs is allowed everywhere I am.
Jonathan Arsenault: I volunteer in their kitchen and think it's a great community to be spending time trying to better one's self and make friends.
Michele: Just wasn't wanted there
Jenn M: Awesome place!!!
Jaysun Shoulders: Amazing place with top-notch staff, especially the Director.
Luis Bermudez: Outstanding
dedclerk: Great polite staff.
Danelle S. Lashus: Great place, great atmosphere, and you gain friends fast. Everyone who has a brain injury is welcome!!!!😀😃
J Remy: Not enough good and positive things to say about the staff at new start brain injury Community Center the staff are professionals the food is cooked as if it were a five star restaurant it has a gym as if it was Planet Fitness and also the survivors like myself are some of the strongest people and in general very good well-intentioned people
John Allenjr: Without new start I still be stuck at the red light in my head and nowhere to go like a one way to the end not to mention the great staff the A-list chefs in the kitchen and the top it all off it's in the heart of the heart of town like it's very special thank you to Michelle,Krishna, Laura, and Markos. Alvarez was ok. A lil cocky but. The trees bound to have 1 rotten apple. ;)
Barbara Barry: Staff is amazing, knowledgeable, & so very helpful. Members are so welcoming. Thanks to you all.
Jeremy LeBlanc: As You walk by the place its easy to go un-noticed across from the library. Expecially if the shades in the large front communerec room are down. Once the shades are up and you look inside, you dont ask why haven't I noticed this place before?. No, you ask how come i havent been in this place, and why didnt i get an invite?. As a member of New Start myself, The center has some of the Kind, careing staff on this side of the Mississippi river. Along with members who have been thorough traumatic life changing events. The beautiful center got a kitchen Martha StuArt would love. A gym-type workout area to burn off some calories the great food prepared by members&staff and cleaned by both. The members all usually have they're own jobtask of the week. The willingness to live and thrive in life is one of The most motivating things ive observed both as a member of the community and as a survivor from a tramatic Brain injury. I am very thankfull for the center and all that went onto getting this place to be what it is. Its the 1st one in the state, and they're are 4 more going to be in the future. Living with a brain injury is very complex and unlike other bodily injurys. I know were Blessed and have yet still a purpose to live or fulfill. Its a new start for anyone who has been injured traumatic to they're brain.
