I asked the surgeon’s practice manager several times if he was familiar and had experience with African noses, she responded yes, but 3 things happened to me after the procedure. A severely retracted columella, rejected incision and scars.Retracted columellaSoon as I removed the packing from my nose the next day, I realized something wasn’t right I had a severally retracted columella right away. I have read documents online which indicate that people of African and Asia decent a very likely to get a retracted columella after rhinoplasty so different technics are used to avoid it. For my case none of that was put into consideration. And the doctor kept on saying that he saw nothing wrong with my nose. My nose looks bad this has left me depressed and regretting having done this procedure.Rejected incisionOne month after my rhinoplasty I was still experiencing a lot of pain then one morning I woke up to find a rejecting incision cutting through the inside of my upper lip it had been placed under my nose. This was a very very scary incident and when I called this place to tell them about it they told me the doctor was only available to see me 3 days later and take it out.This rejected incision did significant damage to my gums, I had to see my dentist who took photos and xrays then monitor the healing as I had to follow up with him several times and all this was paid out of pocket because my dental insurance refused to cover it. My dentist told me I literally had a gaping hole between my mouth and nose, it took 2 months to heal, he told me to ask why cartilage graft was not used in this area instead of something synthetic? I did ask the question but never got a response. I guess some of us just don’t deserve good services.See realself for photos.

Bev Peña: I am so very disappointed with the results of my treatment and how the staff responded to my concerns. I went in for a consultation for blemishes on my face. I met with Tabitha (who has since left). I explained that I wanted to get rid of blemishes on my face that made me feel very self-conscious. She explained some options and told me that the MelBrite Peel would be the best way to get rid of the problem. She explained the process and told me there would be peeling for about 30 days. I even got to see before and after pictures of clients who had the procedure done. She happened to have time that same day so I had it done.I followed instructions carefully. On day 2, I experienced burn-like symptoms around my mouth area and difficulty opening my mouth to speak or eat. I emailed Tabitha, she was very dismissive of my concerns. Told me that it was typical. Verynonchalant. I ended up calling my own dermatologist who gave me instructions to help calm the symptoms. I had a follow up with Tabitha scheduled and when I went to the appointment, she did a few things to my face, one of them being light therapy. She did not explain what she was doing, or what was going on with my face. She assured me that it would get better and I would see results once the treatment was finished. A week or so later, I received a call from Allison, the manager. She explained that Tabitha was no longer there and she needed to reschedule me with another esthetician. I voiced my concerns about what had happened and how I felt neglected. She apologized and said she would schedule me to see one of her best people, Jennifer and that they would help me resolve the issue. At the appointment, I felt patronized, not heard, they showed ZERO concern. She continued to make excuses. She showed me the before pics of my face and told me that my face looked "much better" and that there was no guarantee that my blemishes would be completely gone. Once I finished the treatment, I would see more results. At the next and final follow up, Jennifer just kept repeating the same excuses. I brought along the pamphlet Tabitha had given me, with a picture of a woman who' had had the same treatment but her face was completely cleared up. Jennifer told me that if I looked closely at the picture, I would see that the women had a "ghost" on her face. EXCUSE ME?!?!!? I STILL have blemishes I wanted gone! I paid $1500!!!!!! I went in to the office, told them what I wanted done, they said this treatment was what I was looking for and that did not happen. I did not receive what I paid for. I was told that they gave me a $200 credit. For what exactly? For their products? I am beyond saddened and disappointed. Never heard from anyone at the office again. Normally when you request a service and pay for it, you expect to get what you asked and paid for. That did not happen here.Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

It's subtle and perfect for anyone who doesn't wish to go for the dramatic change of a full face-lift.I've also had various treatments on my face, skin, and body, including the melabrite peel, ipl photo facial, ultherapy, coolsculpting, and thermiva. (I've had more but those all come to mind right now)I usually see Jennifer Verdini, one of the most experienced and skilled practitioners at the practice. The results for each treatment have been wonderful. I cannot say enough about how skilled Jennifer is and how thrilled I've been with the results.My only concern is the way I've been treated after a misunderstanding with regard to a balance that I owe. Ive never refused to pay nor have i disputed any balance. I have had some unexpected events arise that altered the timeline for my payments. I think that there are ways to handle customers that don't alienate them or make anyone uncomfortable. The person who handles those aspects of the practice has made me feel extremely uncomfortable and right now I never want to set foot there again.

Carl CP: I had a horrible experience and considered suing. I was not overweight but wanted to have some abdominal touchup. I was recommended to have cool sculpting done, I received zero results and was told I needed laser assisted lipo. During my lipo appt I was half awake, she burned me with the cannula and when done was shuffled me out the door. I received no follow up appt and was told that it might take up to a full year to realize the full results. I got zero results and when I called back they didn't want to hear it. This was about 10 years ago and I still regret going to Poulos to this day. Over 10k wasted, left with scars, and zero result. Do your homework.

PD Danforth: I called to make an appointment for a consultation. Was told I needed an insurance referral as it is a medical condition. I got the referral and now I'm told Dr. Poulos is not taking Blue Cross for breast reduction surgery. Cash only. That's ridiculous considering the amount of pain this causes a lot of women. That is simple greed. It is covered by my insurance, but apparently she'd rather women suffer.

I recently had rhinoplasty done by her and couldn't have asked for a better result. I knew going into it exactly what to expect. If you want a doctor who will lie to you and promise you unrealistic results, she isn't the doctor for you. She will give you the (sometimes hard) truth about what she can and can't do for you. I would recommend her to 100/100 people. I wish I'd had her as my doctor when I had my breast augmentation done, because I would probably be much more proportionate today.
