The Bolton Fair: what do users think?
Donald J Mac Millan: The Christmas Light Drive-thru was nice.
Victor Edusei: The kids had a great time at the drive-in christmas light show, very nice collections of light displays. rarely saw any broken lights, and roads were also driveable, not too smooth, and not too rough either. Great job keeping this up during the christmas holiday. price is also fair, considering the cost of electricity recently going up.
rass pina: Excelente lugar. Mucha diversión y muy tranquilo .es bueno visitarlo con la familia.
Fitzroy Muhammad: Good 👍
Gary: I have personally been going to this fair for 41 years. Last year there were way to many people but we always still have a great time!!
Roger Maxson: Went to Bassettpallooza and that was a BLAST!
Richard Linehan: Very family oriented but geared towards the female gender. Was expecting more of an Antique event but more crafts, house decor etc. My wife would have loved it 😂. Had craft beer and food. Parking was free but $12 admission. If you buy pre admission you can only enter thru one gate. Overall a nice family oriented event worth checking out !!
Matthew Claussen: Excellent cars
DEMOLITION DAVE: One of my favorite fairgrounds I really haven’t walked around it much mostly just drove in the demo a couple of times
Diane C: Parking and transport to the fairgrounds needs a lot of work. Will not return next years. Waited in line for a bus for 45 mins. Everything from food to games to tickets for rides was very expensive.
Brandon B: Wicked expensive!!! Not much to do unless you bring hundreds of dollars. $5 for water, $10 for games, food was outrageous. Uggg probably won’t be back. Sorry Bolton fair.
Rebeckah Culley: The fair entry price is a bit pricey. We had a nice day at the fairEntered into the baked good exhibit and won a ribbon. Disappointed not near as many entries as when I entered years ago.Loved the spot where they were making homemade Ice Cream on the spot!!The Mac n Choose vendor had the BEST MAC N CHEESE!!(We ended up going to their Westford location on Sunday and checking out their bigger menu and the Mac n Cheese was just as good!!!)CANNOLI TRUCK HAD AMAZING RASPBERRY CHOCOLATE CHIP CANNOLI!!!The Motocross Stunt Team was fun to watch...we watched it twice!! 🤩The shuttling to enter the fair definitely turns many people away. For various reasons not everyone can do that or want to do that and they do not have someone to drop them off at the the entrance. We got dropped off at Gate 3 and Picked up there. Glad we had the opportunity to do that!!Wish there were more independent food vendors then carnival ride food vendors.Over-all great day walking around and enjoyed the nice weather.
Tamblyn Gawley: Fun, but very expensive.
Laurie Stevenson (333Lorie): I love the Bolton Fair. But, I think this was my last visit to it. No more parking across you need to drive 3 miles away and get bussed to the Fair. The line for the bus was okay but still long when we arrived and it was absolutely insane when we left. I think it took an hour and a half to get out. The food YUK!!! 57 DOLLARS!! For 2 corn dogs a Friday mushroom on a stick, a chicken basket and 2 drinks. Thays just worse then Woodstock 1999!!!! It was fun. From 7 -10 watching the demo Derby but I'd have to save up for 5 years to go again. Admission and ride are separate costs. Then food and drink were another ton of cash. The rides aren't all free. Awesome ones cost money. Gift shops are almost all exactly the same. You walk by one and then in one minute another on the other side of dirt road and both sold exaclt the same things and were not local artist, it's a traveling mini carnival with gift shops. All the same. The only local was a section halved off and if you go once you will see the same next time. (Or less) So it's too much money for the type of Fair it is now. It's Bolton Fair in Lancaster and now you can't park in Lancaser. You park almost in Leominster. 2 men died also near or in the demolitionDerby. So for the faint of heart, don't bring sensitive children. Gets odder and odder everyime I go. I say we should say good bye to you. "Bolton Fair, in Lancaster and no parking in Lancaster". Time for a make over of the biggest kind. Thanks for reading. I am honest and it's all "my opinion". Doesn't reflect everyones experience.
Sarah Fontaine: Absolutely terrible parking and shuttle services, tried to go today was as far away from the fair as you can get. Major inconvenience for families with small children and strollers. Having to get on a school bus to be shuttled from the parking lot to the fair is ridiculous. If I were you, go super early no chance for after 10 am. Very disappointed because this is one of my favorite fairs. Hopefully next year it will be better.
David Moylan: Although, having a good time with my family. In overall, not knowing of dropping them off first. Parking the car and travelling via bus service is too much. Drivers were terrible, exceeding speed limits. Makes me wonder how the got their CDL's. For me being a professional driver for over 20 years.Since the grandkids, were able to get in free. Prices are insane, their worse than the movie theaters. But watch out, when you get in. That's where they get you! Watch our for your spending on food, drinks and tickets. If you go, it's going to cost your entire paycheck for the week! And go on a late afternoon. Not when it's really busy during the day!!#
Lisa Bissonnette: Would not even bother this year! Your set up for shuttling people in is clearly not working and last year testifys to that! People need to come in own vehicles and have place to park! Otherwise there's no point anymore!
Rafael: The parking situation is the worse I ever encountered in an event. You basically have to park miles away from the fair, wait in a long line (about 40 min wait) to grab a shuttle and they dont even allow you to bring a stroller. Not family friendly at all. Think twice about coming to the Bolton Fair this year. My family and I definitely regretted it.
Mandy Sim: The parking situation is awful. You are required to park 10 minutes away and take a bus at which there are no busses so you’re stuck waiting in a long line just to get to the fair. Hopefully the fair itself makes up for this disaster! Will certainly think twice about attending in the future.
cindy jackson: Horrible set up. Waited almost 40 minutes for a wheelchair van. The grounds were all Rocks could hardly navigate with out getting stuck missed all the animal exibits due not being accessible. So disappointing after paying $15 just to enter.
Meg: The light show in the winter is so fun and beautiful !

Sterling Fair: what do users think?
Everett Harman: This is a very nice truly agricultural fair. There is judging of animals, fruit, vegetables and crafts. Giant horses compete for the heaviest weight they can pull. There is also a midway with rides. Free parking and admission.
Meg: Cant go wrong! Just bring your walking shoes
Raymond Wedge: It's a great little fair! Free parking and free entry into the fair. They ask that you buy a pin that says Sterling Fair on it for $5.00 but you don't have to. They have a midway with typical fair rides and of course fair food!. They also usually have helicopter rides. It's a good way to spend a day.
Cindy Safford: Always a good time.
Kayla Anderson: So much fall
Bud Wilbur: A decent country home town fair. Frog jumping included. Plenty to look at and do and admission is free. Not many these days. Tractor pulls, animals rides games and fair food. Local vendors are there as well always nice to support them. Fireworks on Friday. Always make a trip out at least one day. You should too.
Patti Shaw: Small scale Fair..... not to be compared to the Bolton fair or Topsfield etc..... but if your looking for something to do the weekend this Fair is in town, it's not a bad option. Our 4 yr old enjoyed himself.
Scott Penniman: We were asked to set up a military show at the Sterling Fair. First year, September 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2022. Hope everyone had a great time. Looking forward to next year.
Janna Oakfellow-Pushee: While I enjoyed it, I also have an idea/constructive criticism? If the usual things (food, farm display, rides) are in the same places, perhaps making a few, tall, directional signposts with that Sterling Fair flavor/art would help folks, too. I mention this because many times people were stopped in their foot traffic by other folks who didn't know where to go/what direction was what, and then a bottleneck/traffic jam happens. This fair was very enjoyable for me and my kids, and priced right as well. If you go here bring CASH & credit, because most places did CASH ONLY.
Bryan Detwiller: It was a great time! I was hoping to see more in the way of animals and agriculture. There were so many vendors it was hard to keep the kids focused on anything besides wanting to buy things. The horse pull was cool. Didn't see much in the way of biggest pumpkin, sweetest corn, or anything like that. It was still fantastic for a free fair with free parking (donations and fair pin purchases encouraged).
Thomas James: Nice fair, good food, good people, good animals
Jonathan L: Love this place
michael weaver: Fun time
Jocelyn Porciello: Love the fair and have since I was a kid!! I now get to take my little one there to enjoy all the wonders and keep the tradition going.
Keith Durling: Dumbest setup ever ! The entrance is so narrow people can't get in and out ! We left !
Richard Novia: Great time for the whole family
Jon Holland: Went in 2022, fair entrance was free (they asked for donations). Good amount of events and attractions for all ages. Mycheal David country band was so good! There is no beer at this fair. Would be awesome if they were able to have a beer tent/section.
Tom Frisinger: Well that sucked. Extremely overcrowded - took 45-60mins per ride. Lines everywhere. Total chaos. Not a family friendly place at all.
Roxanne Bruno: Super fun. No entrance fee, not commercialized. Great food options, fun midway games and rides .
Sarah Lloyd: Awesome day lots Todo an get vendors free parking an donation to keep this awesome fair going ..Well done 100%Better the Spencer fair and Woodstock this year !!!
Larry Gianakis: Free entry and plenty of parking. Great for kids and adults. Rides and food are cash only so bring money to avoid ATM fees. The vendors were great. We saw some trials for the tractor pulls and lawnmower races but most animals were not there yet.
