crease cop: I got ripped off. Went out to eat at Mercantile for 2hrs and they could not redeem my parking their system was down. I didn’t care so I would have to pay 6$ for the 2 hrs. I ended up paying $20 due to some event going on I had no idea about. I called and asked if they could refund me and they never returned my calls. Horrible.

Jim Hogue: Unfortunately, we got our car locked in last night while attending a concert. The signs are misleading, as it states the garage closes at 7pm, then had a sign to pay by credit card. We came out of the concert with our car locked up. Then we saw the signs on the sides stating it locked at 7pm. We didn't even pull into the garage until 7:44pm. Nothing was locked up at all 44 minutes after it should have been closed. Beware! The garage is setting a mousetrap. They got several of us. For shame!

Dan Deloge: Not easy to find the entrance and the city is under a great deal of construction. It's your run of the mill parking garage with elevators that didn't seem to work when we were there, or extremely slow. If you have a large vehicle or wide I wouldn't recommend this garage. It fills up fast and even at 10am we had to park on the roof with two other open spaces visible.

Harold Dumas: Good parking lot clean and affordable, but too far from Polar park to walk. Make sure to use the WooSox shuttle just wait at the sign. Arrives every 10 min.

JMQNTM: Parking was advertised as free for 11/26/22. Signs indicated this when entering garage. Upon leaving I was asked to pay $9. Car leaving along side of me experiencing the same issue. Looked everywhere but no help was available. The “HELP” button at the gate is a joke. 5 minutes to respond and they just hang up on you. Tried 5 times to get their help. Spent 40 minutes at the gate until finally some attendant showed up and opened it. Two stars for free parking although the anguish and frustration mostly voided the rating.

Called on the machine multiple times and they kept hanging up and being rude and just telling us were not getting out. No in person attendants. Honestly never had such bad service. Had to pay twice to escape was literally trapped exiting for 25 minutes.

Courtney Lamothe: Great location and accessibility. The monthly price is $143 is way too high. I wish they offered some free parking as well. There is barely any parking for Water Street at all. With this being one of the closest I wish there was a more reasonable price for the place. If I spend 5 hours there... I pay $8. If I spend 6 hours there...only one more.. I have to pay $13. But the lot across the street is $4 a day. The place is overpriced. But its nice.

Robert Crozier: Great lot for being close to Polar park , but coming back after the game to a broken gate so only a single point of egress and waiting 30 plus minutes in the lot after having prepaid was a bit much. Should have an express exit for prepaid parkers.

Kevin Mahoney: Generally ok but increasingly putting $ over customer service. They will pack cars in far beyond capacity for reasonable parking accommodations. Monthly pass holder?Doesn't matter. You can leave your car in their "free valet" line of a potential 50 cars. It will not get out in an kind of reasonable amount of time. And if your car is parked in a marked spot but the valet line is blocking you in. You will not be going anywhere either. They have leverage because of limited downtown parking and they use it. Customers/tenants not the priority. Not the hourly employees fault.... Try elsewhere. FYI, this garage is known by several names.
Nilufer Usta: Mercantile Center Garage is located right across from the DCU Center. It is extremely convenient to park there when you go for various events at the Center. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. However, as expected getting out of the garage after an event can take a while. The staff helps speed up the process as much as they can.
Taxachusettsucks: For the love of god stay away from this garage if you dont enjoy waiting hours and hours to pay and leave an event. They have made an extremely simple procces a complete nightmare. I am totally surprised nobody has flipped out and crashed thru the gate yet just to get the heck out of here.
Natasha Miller: Extremely dissatisfied. I parked here on Friday night 10/5 for the Joyce Meyer function. I sat in my spot for an hour before I could even move to get out. 1 1/2 hrs later I finally got out of the garage. They were saying it was because one of the pay machines were not working. Well on Saturday I experienced the same issue. Over an hour waiting to get of the garage. I have never experienced something like this in all my conferences or concerts. To then pay them 30!!! Horrible

Shane White: Super clean, high-tech and safe garage well-located for everything near downtown Worcester.
William Sparks: Convenient location, decently priced (varies depending on time of day it seems), and simple to get in and out of. Safe place to leave a car.
Peter Van Voorhis: Entered for concert at night with free parking. Whole garage under construction. Large red and green lights called for one way traffic. Sat stopped at lights with nothing happening and cars backing up trying to get in. Gave up and ignored light and line of traffic all entered garage. So tight barely able to make corners Iim between temporary posts. Leaving garage same. One car decided to honor lights and people got out of cars to talk this car into ignoring lights and leaving. Then we all were able to leave garage.

Carla Panciera: I’m only giving it one star because I can’t give it zero. We parked here for my daughter’s graduation at the DCU. There was such a crowd trying to get out that I finally had to park my car again and Uber to her house. Had already missed an hour of the party. Worst. Parking. Experience. Ever.
Erin Sheedy: Plenty of parking. I was going to try a restaurant in the lower part of the building, they happened to be closed.I was in and out of the building in less then 15 minutes...best part, I was not charged :) Happpppppy CUSTOMER!
James Murawski: I do not like posting negative reviews as I know this can really impact someone’s business. Took my son and two his eight-year-old friends to a hockey game at the DCU center. We arrived back at our car at about 9:40 PM. We were not able to exit the garage until 11:15 PM. There was one attendant working the single car exit. We were trapped. The design of the garage and management of the traffic flow are terrible. Do not use this garage when there are events at the DCU center.
Emily “Charlotte” LaBeaume: Waited close to 2 hours to get out of this garage. There was one exit with one attendant. It’s a safety hazard to say nothing of the complete disregard for patrons’ time. What if there was an emergency? How would emergency vehicles get through? This place should be inspected or something. I would never park here again. I agree with another reviewer that if it were possible to give zero or negative stars, I absolutely would.

Jennifer Webb: Wow. If there was a negative stars I would have chose that option. Left an event at the DCU center Friday night headed to our car right after the event ended at 1030pm, didn’t leave the garage until 1150pm. What a waste of time. The attendants were letting people out one one car at a time (despite there being two exit locations on either side of the building, but everyone continued to use one exit lane). I was able to go down to the restaurant on the first floor use their rest rooms and the traffic still hadn't budged form our floor. Friends had two drinks at the restaurant then got in their car on a lower floor and left the garage before our floor had even moved. Will absolutely not use this garage again for an event and will Uber to and from DCU and not only pay the exact same amount but spare myself over an hour of waiting to move an inch.

Last night, after the UMass hockey game, we were trapped on the 6th level for 1 hour and 45 minutes without moving even an inch. We all thought something terrible happened as we looked outside and no cars were leaving. When we did start moving it took another 45 minutes to get to the ONE working exit. If Worcester wants to attract people to this city by adding great restaurants they need to get on these people about their pArking. After getting out we didn’t spend a dime in the city. We drove home the fastest way possible.

Alex M: Plenty of space to park. Pretty good rates. Cheaper than parking at most of the venues or stadiums if you don’t mind a bit of a walk. If you’re visiting downtown but not the DCU center, this is a decent option. Only complaint was the payment machine. The machine froze late in the evening and I had to spend about 15 minutes between waiting and chatting with a remote support agent through the machine. Will be keeping an eye on my card to make sure it doesn’t get double charged… aside from that though, it’s fine. There are multiple exits, which is definitely helpful. And it was easy to find a spot.

Erin Marie: Unfortunately, I was with a group of people whose family member got stuck on the elevator as we were all trying to leave from a gradutuin event across the street at The Hanover. The emergency call buttons both inside and outside the elevator did not work, nor were there any garage employees on site. The office on site was closed. 911 had to be called and I phoned the garage company to let them know there was an emergency issue. Additionally others trying to exit the garage by car at that time could also not leave as the barriers would not raise after their tickets were inserted.I'd rather take my chances and park on the street next time.

And two months ago our car was broken into right at the entrance where there are cameras and they tell us of no they don’t actually work. Take the extra walk and park at on of the other garages
Jace Cheth: Did my research ahead of time after booking tickets for a show at the Hanover Theater. I was initially happy that I'd be paying less than 5 bucks for parking, only to find out they changed it up to $15 for "event parking" when you get there. To make matters worse, the gate was just left open at the end of the night and several cars got out for free. Never again.
John Richard: Paid for parking in the lobby and went to leave to find that the gate was up and the ticket machine simply had a "Free Passage" message. I want my $7 back.
