Central Mass Food Reviews: Large jerk chicken plate, with rice and peas, and extra gravy. The rice and peas were good, nothing fancy, however the extra gravy from the jerk chicken really helped it out. The hot cabbage and carrots were surprisingly tasty as well (gravy on them too). The jerk chicken was very good! Perfect amount of spice, and the chicken was tender and falling off the bone.A ton of food for $12, and the woman who took the order and packaged it up was very nice.

One Love Ma Maebelle's Cafe: what do users think?
Abby: incredible vegan food!
Naomi Liz: Best patties, curry goat and fresh watermelon water in worcester!
Brittney M: I’ve gone here a couple times already and each time I was not disappointed! I usually get the curried chicken and let me tell you, it’s great. I feel the portion size is also good for the price that you pay. The customer service has always been good and the workers have been friendly and helpful.
C K: WATERMELON WATER. Their beef patties are amazing and you have to get a slice of their beautiful and delicious cakes.
Caitlin83: If you’re in the Worcester public market and debating on which restaurant to pick, THIS IS THE ONE. I crave their jerk chicken ALL the time and am always willing to make the 20 minute drive for it. Plate also comes with rice and peas, plantains, and a delicious salad. (I love the dressing!) Watermelon water is also refreshing! I’m so glad I found this place!
Amanda Maguire: I’m so happy this place is in Worcester Public Market! I used to go to her location on Main St and was so sad when it closed. I’ve never been disappointed by the food here, always delicious and fresh. Owner is such a nice woman.
Galen Oettel: Great food for an affordable price! Multiple vegan options. I would recommend coming for lunch because they run out of food several hours before closing. I got the curried tofu because jerk tofu was sold out. They were also out of rice but the owner was very nice and gave me a roti instead.
Nicole LaG: If you are Jamaican you will not like the food here. If you don't know what Jamaican food should taste like then you might enjoy it.
A.L. Massinger: The goat curry is excellent!!!
Nobody Forever: overpriced and very salty, also has bones in the meatUpdate: I ate the goat and my bf and I got severely sick thank you. We both tested neg for covid and this was the only weird thing we ate.
Anni Lara: I bought food for my husband who craves for Jamaican when I’m in WOR. He says it was tasty. The owner seemed nice and pleasant. There was a little wait to order and she apologized for the wait. Thank you.
Melissa Ingerson: Absolutely amazing EVERY TIME!!!! I love love looooove it. I am greeted politely and promptly everytime I go. Let's talk about flavor!!!! Woooooooh lord so much flavor!!!! Ugh I'm in love. Hands down a MUST go!!! Now ima go ahead and devour this food!
Celese Walter: Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes Takeout: YesMore
Britni Conner: Finally got to try it today after wanting to try it for a while and it did not disappoint! So full of flavor, plenty of food for two meals, and just the right amount of heat. Great options for vegetarians/ vegans and meat eaters too. Will definitely be going back :)
Kim M: This is the WORST Jamaican food I have ever had. If you’re craving Jamaican food and this is your only option do without! The food first of all is so expensive and it comes in a miniature bowl. We ordered rice and peas and I’m not exaggerating when I say there were only two peas in the whole thing. The rice was soggy and as far as the meat goes, they got the color right but I’m not sure what happened when it came to flavoring. I wish I could give this a negative star because of how horrible my experience was. Don’t recommend
Eiluj: My sister took me here yesterday 😊.The owner seemed humble and kind. The spot was inviting😊👏🏽🇯🇲.Loved the sorrel drink👌🏾and cake.Had the curried chicken🥘 dinner...the chicken was unfortunately salty*😶- hopefully this can be improved up on✅...hence the reason for not giving five stars. However, well done for representing our country of birth and helping to have the 🇯🇲 flying across the globe 🙏🏽👏🏽
Haley Baron: Amazing food with great depth of flavor! I got the curried chicken and it was amazing. It was a building spicy, meaning the first few bites were all flavor with a hint of hot, but then the spices built and kept complimenting the flavors to a full, rich meal. The plantains were well cooked, and the accompanying salad with mango vinnegrette salsa was my favorite part of the meal. I also got the Sorrel (ginger acai berry) drink and wow, my new favorite drink! Overall wonderful food and really great for the price. Plus the woman who took my order was so nice! I'll definitely be back!
Lidia Strouk: Very tasty, homemade quality!!
amanda berube: I ordered the curried tofu and it was spicy and amazing! The plantains are the best I have ever had! I also loved the ginger, beet, carrot juice. Sooo good!
Sean Jacobs: Great spot to grab some vegan food. They are super friendly and the food is delicious! It’s a vibe that’s for sure. Definitely worth it. I’ll be back here again for sure!

Aretha's Kitchen: what do users think?
Jazlyn Suazo: Customer service; was alright I guess. They were out of goat and oxtails by 5pm. Jerk chicken extremely dry it had no jerk sauce whatsoever. The rice was very salty. The cabbage was hard. Mac and cheese was dry. The sweet plaintains could’ve been softer.
Adriann Anderson: Delicious! We placed an order 45 minutes from closing time because we arrived in town later than expected. We were worried that the food would be the last of the end of the night stuff. It wasn't! The food was delicious! We ordered the large oxtail, & 2 medium jerk chicken. Lawd hammercy! Food was fresh, piping hot, and so so good. That jerk is spicy baby, so be careful! Coco bread was good for sopping up juices, but could have been a little softer. Sorrell, ugh, refreshing, sweet, & ginger spicy! If we are ever in town again, this will definitely get me a 2nd time around. I really wanted the mac & cheese, but the sold out. 😫 Next time....Parking: Parking lot
Keona Gunning: The staff are kind and the food is absolutely delicious.
Grib Guides: Amazing food and amazing people. I will forever come back here.
Ruth Ann Zink: What a delicious surprise! Andre Harris: Probably some of the best Caribbean food around! I drove from Oxford to come back after my first taste. Love the Oxtails and Mac and Cheese with the Carrot Punch. The jerk chicken is exactly what you would expect.Reasonable prices and good customer service. No complaints all praises.
Fenway Gourmet: GREAT Patty !! Oxtails lil tough
Hanging with the homies tv: Food ok but don't order oxtails because I bought there twice and both time I ordered a large and they gave me 5 little pieces of me for $19 I'm good never going there again
Ben Wasserman: Good place for quick large African hot pockets. 4$/each.
Chelcie Roan: I found this place by an accident while visiting the Cookies Dispensary next door. The smell of curry and jerk flavors hit me as soon as I got out of the car. My group ordered the fish soup, oxtail , and jerk chicken meals. All came packed to the brim with THREE whole sides, and tasted absolutely delicious!! I would highly recommend trying out their beef patties as well- they have an awesome variety of meat and veggie options. Do yourself a favor and go eat at Aretha’s Kitchen!

Caribbean Vybz: what do users think?
gregory isaacs: Food was very good truck can park there and run go get your food
Daniel Afriyie: Great food, very clean, and friendly people. Loved their oxtail!!!
Nancy Nimbs: This was once our favorite spot when we are in Worcester. Matter fact we would bring all our friends and family with us. The lady that owns the place, not sure if she still does was amazing but now the place has terribly gone downhill. The food looked like it was cooked days ago, the cabbage looked like it was boiled, no flavor on anything. The plantains we could not even bite on them they were so tough. We had oxtail and goat curry, it was little sauce and bones really. There was a customer at the store complaining about the same thing but instead of helping her they let the situation escalate to where now the customer was now really upset and causing a scene. It was really hard to seat and enjoy our meal in this atmosphere. The server had the manager on the phone and handed it to her. He insisted that she waits at the store but when he got there was very rude to her and still didn’t resolve the situation.I was soo excited to bring a friend who was visiting and this was a disaster. My husband warned me because he’d already noticed their quality going down but I wanted to prove him wrong, I guess not. am sure we ain’t coming back again. The server was nice but didn’t seem to have the authority to fully resolve customer complaints. The server genuinely wanted to help but his hands were tied. My husband is in the industry and was really impressed by how the server handled himself.Anyway we wish them the best though!!
SASHA M: OMG the food was great, decided to try this spot at last minute and I’m glad I did. The food is 100% authentic.
Gussie Quinton: I love this restaurant!!! I love the patty and the curry goat!!! The salt fish and butter beans w/fried dumplings is my favorite.Absolutely delicious. Five stars to the chef!!!! Officially a life long customer 🤗 finally a great restaurant in Worcester 😊
Erin Faith Page: The Pina Colada was the STAR of this meal, it is fresh and homemade (seriously get it!). The oxtails were under cooked, but the flavor was great. The rice was under seasoned and the meal only came with two THIN slices of plantains. The shrimp were also under seasoned, which is strange (I don't know that I have ever had under seasoned Jamaican food). BUT, again, I would go back just for that delicious Pina colada.
Thoughtful LIfecoach: Stop by to get food. First it smell nasty and taste like water. No customer service whatever. She seems upset . I was dying for some Jamaican food spend 16$ for nasty food. This is what the food looks like I had to trash it and go somewhere else
Justina George: Great restaurant dined in very cozy, family oriented. Very large menu everything was on hand. Food was delicious, will go back
Nati Rosado: 2 and half hour wait for food. Plantains we’re hard.
Lorenzo Marston: I ordered the oxtail on DoorDash and let me tell you it was amazing perfectly portioned a lot of good meat and the rice was phenomenal. I highly recommend getting that plate or the Jerk Chicken plate they are both amazing!
Alex Burgos: Food bussin customer service bussin deff would go back
Michael Upson: Still!!!!Bang Bang!
Traycee: The food was amazing!!! I came down from out of town and tried the food and it didn’t disappoint!! You can tell they make their food with love lol
Shantavia T Jones: Great food & amazing service
Shadae Jones: The food was amazing!!! Best Caribbean food I’ve had since living in Massachusetts Definitely will be going back
Lydia Saydee: Very welcoming, staff is friendly. The restaurant is very clean, food you can tell was prepared in a clean environment from the moment you walk in. Kids friendly, and the food is great. Only reason I give 4 star is because of the lack of parkingKid-friendliness: Great atmosphere, welcoming and appropriate for children. Owners and staff are very friendlyParking: Parking at this establishment is sometimes impossible to find but the food is great so it’s worth the stress
