Michelle Phenix: Maria and her team care about customer satisfaction and treat every customer like a vip. My spouse recently took a pair of gold hoops to a different jeweler in our neighborhood ( I directed him to Maria's) to get a repair estimate. He was quoted at $180 to repair a missing hook on a pair of 14k gold hoops. I was horrified and brought these to Maria. This repair was completed in less than a week and for $60. Last year her team repaired and rescued my mangled engagement ring. See Maria and her team if you want to be treated fairly and respectfully during your jewelry repair or buying process.

They re-sized my grandmother's vintage diamond ring (in preparation for my proposal) and later repaired/replaced a lost side diamonds, both much quicker and much less expensively than I expected these jobs to be and with excellent customer service to boot. I'm also always amazed that despite have only been in the store a handful of times in the last several years the owner consistently remembers me, the ring, and what they've done for it.

I grew up in a house where my mother worked for a well established jeweler on Newbury St. in Boston, so I had the option to go in to Boston with a company I had known for over 40 years. Liang Dzindolet: We had the most amazing experience with Pope Jewelers! We had gone to other chain jewelers and were extremely disappointed by their lack of rings to try on. I was only able to try on 3-5 rings that were only available in size 6 - it is really hard to judge if you like a ring when it only fits halfway on your pinky finger. We made an appointment at M. Pope & Co. Fine Jewelers and they had a wide variety of diamond rings. I probably tried on 20+ rings. If they didn't have the ring in my size, they were able to take a loose diamond from the back and place it on a "setter" which is basically an empty band they could place a diamond on. Michael and his team were extremely patient and kind. I especially appreciated Michael's extensive knowledge on the diamonds and what to look for in certain settings and materials in order to create the most stable ring. My fiance was able to design a ring easily and it was ready within a month. After the proposal, I needed to resize my ring slightly and they were able to do it in under 48 hours! The ring is so beautiful and even better than I could have ever imagined. We highly recommend M. Pope & Co. Fine Jewelers and will definitely be back to purchase our wedding bands!

He was up front with what it would take and gave us an estimate on time as well.Just picked up my ring today and it looks like new again, but sturdier. Rehan Rasool: Called in to ask if they buy gold; the guy Markos gave me a price on the phone. Went in an hour later and it was the weirdest interaction I have ever had. Markos (owner) said that the boss is not there. I asked if I should come back tomorrow; he got flustered and told me not to as they have been trying to get out of the gold business for 4 years?? The shop clearly says "Cash for Gold" on the outside and I had called earlier to check. I said thanks and left. So strange and rude. Take your business somewhere else.
