I called because We found 3 ticks in 5 days on us and that was enough- haven’t found a tick since! Peter Gelinas: I hired Great Care lawn service to perform some over seeding in the fall last year - the communication was a little bit off but their service technicians were able to walk me through my questions. However they were late to provide services but I decided to give them a second chance.I received an email during the winter to pre pay (over a thousand dollars) for spring and summer lawn care. I had thought my pre payment would translate into great care as their name suggests. I was wrong - the lack any form communication were late on numerous treatments and if anything my lawn got worse. Klaus Pechhold: GCLS has provided various mostly lawn maintenance services since 2017, after the draught of 2016 destroyed our lawn almost entirely. They did a great job in re-building healthy lawn ever since, including regular (re-)seeding, weed control, aerating and lawn fertilizing. Jess: Do not recommend this company. Very difficult to get a hold of. Sometime they respond quickly other times not at all. I was more upset that they forgot to put a sign down that they had just serviced the lawn with chemicals. I told them multiple times we have dogs and were concerned that dogs might get sick. When they come, they normally put a sign out and I take my dogs else where but this is second time they didn’t. I emailed them about and they really could not of cared less about my concerns. I frankly am not even sure they they came and serviced the lawn, only found out once I got the bill.

Timothy Gibson: Andy has been so great. We originally hired him at our previous house and our lawn looked great. He is always available for other yard-related projects too: he did some stump grinding for us after the big ice storm 10 years ago. When we moved, the lawn at our new home was a DISASTER: literally looked like a sandlot after the first year. Andy came in and rescued everything: seeded things, came up with a fertilizer plan, and within a year our lawn is lush and green. He always communicates before coming for a treatment, and is always available. His prices are very very reasonable. I cannot recommend Andy and Great Care more strongly. As others have said, why would you ever go with one of these big-box national companies when Andy is nicer, easier, more affordable, more reliable, on and on.

After getting past that part of the experience, I set up an appointment. After confirming the appointment with the sales man, I had to make sure someone was at the house. They waited around for over an hour after they were supposed to be there. I called and asked where they were and they said they could no longer make it. Never let me know. Will not be using this company.

I found Mass Landscaping and snow on google and the reviews impressed me. I called them and scheduled a time to meet. They didn’t just jumped on scheduling an estimate, they took the time to ask me questions and find out about me and my needs, I really liked that. The day of the estimate I met a very professional and polite young man. We went over everything I wanted done. The next day I had an estimate. It was a bit more than I was expecting to spend but I felt very confident in this company. Although we got some rain days, the crew eventually showed up and got right to work. They treated my yard better than I have seen any other company work in the area. Edging was on point, mulch was generously put down, all yard debris was completely gone and they leaf blew even my driveway and deck. I have been very happy with the routine lawn service, Fall cleanup, and a special request to remove a couple Rhodies and replace them with holly bushes. Now that my car is near totaled I already filed a police report. When calling the office to report I got a very nasty attitude from the person who answered the phone so I decided to not fill them in and let the police take care of it. Plants supplied in poor shape - over charged for tree that is not what we wanted at all. No fresh loom put down to fill in holes in garden. Left roots from previous shrubs sticking out of mulch. Did not edge one bed they were suppose to edge. Install of drainage system not at all what we wanted. We could have done a better job ourselves. Divyesh Patel: Unprofessional - Booked an appointment and never showed up!!Called them up to get an appointment for an appraisal/estimate. The front desk lady was able to get a date in the same week despite their busy schedule. I was ok with an appointment at any time since I work from home. On the day of the appointment I received a reminder text with the appointment time. The guy tried to call me from an unknown number 45 minutes before the appointment and left no voicemail. Then never showed up. The office front desk argued that since I had said I am ok with an appointment at any time during the day, he must have showed up earlier. Nobody was at my doorstep or rang the doorbell.

John Holmes: This review is for tree removal not pruning. William came out and gave me a free estimate on two trees on 2 properties. He was very professional and his prices were very reasonable. His workers were diligent, on time, careful and cleaned up nicely. Note: as with any tree removal turf damage is unavoidable. Our tree was 3.5 feet in diameter and 150 feet tall. They felled it in a perfect area and removed everything. The turf damage was exactly as he described and minimal as could be done. At the other property the tree was hanging over the house and they used a cherry picker and surgically remover the limbs before felling the trunk. Very little turf damage there, it was not nearly as big a tree. I highly recommend them for tree removal. Paul C: Took the day off to monitor work performed. Rain was in the forecast for days in advance (I know because it also affects my work). I received no call until the morning they were set to be on-site, that they would have to reschedule because of the "unexpected rain". After they told me that I was wrong about the weather forecast, (like its my first day on earth) they rescheduled a for a week later. Then pushed it out one more day when they no-show, no-called. We had to call them to find out that they wouldn't be coming that day. The workers they sent spent A LOT of time standing/sitting around. Pushed a giant boulder randomly onto my neighbor's property after being instructed to put the stones with the rest of the stone wall. They were supposed to do leaf cleanup (it was in the quote) and almost none of it was done; only what they were incidentally able to scrape and bury with the skid-steer. A large pile of brush that was specifically pointed out was left untouched. To say that I'm disappointed would be an understatement. If I'm being generous, I'd say I got about 30% of what I paid for. I'll update this review in the unlikely event that they make good on the inadequate "work" that was performed.

norm v: VIP is contracted by my condo management company to take care of the property.They failed to come out to salt / sand the stairs and walkways this morning. That was at 7:35 this morning at which time I slipped on the ice and landed on the stairs to the cars.After a call to our management company, VIP showed up at 10:00 this morning and put down about an inch of salt and finally did the walkways. One of the neighbors gave him a hard time about how much salt he was putting down and the driver’s response was “who cares”. He then told both my neighbor and I to go back in the house. The driver stated that he had been here 7 times already and doesn’t think that any one really fell.All I’ve got to say is, no problem monkey boy my attorney will be in touch.

Jack Delehanty: I needed a lawn mowed twice while out of town for a month, and VIP Landscaping was recommended. I called well before we needed service. My calls went unreturned. I finally reached them just before we left town, and was told "we'll get you on the schedule and call you back later in the week." I did not receive a call back. I tried calling again the following week and they were closed for the holiday (for a full week). No big deal; but my call was not returned the first day they were open again. I finally reached them 15 days after we first made contact, and was told "we weren't able to get you on the schedule after all." Apparently they didn't think it was necessary to call and tell me this.They may or may not do good work - I can't say, because their customer service was so poor that they didn't even bother to call to tell me that they couldn't do the work we had agreed upon.
Joe Lavallee: The owner went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the work and checked in a few times after it was done to make sure the grass and plants were coming in properly. The crew that came to do the work were very nice and polite and worked as hard as they could to get the job done as quickly as possible. Highly recomend for any big yard projects or even maintenance.

Completely covered my car with debris, unfortunately I was late did not take picture. The leaves were not on anyone’s property on public street. I called the company and Megan was very nice brought a car wash gift card. However I pointed out that my car now has several paint chips. I followed up with phone calls never received return call. Knauer Australian shepherds: This company is horrible. I had an appointment set up for 2, no one showed up. When I called they rescheduled to 6pm, again no one showed up. No answer when i called. They next day I called and they sent someone right away. She promised to send a list of pricing over to me as soon as ahe got back to the office. I never received anything. I called the next day to see what was up and the guy said she was working on everything that had been discussed and it would be send right over. Its been a week and I haven’t received anything. Don’t waste your time on this company. Go somewhere else
Douglas Pendleton: We have been slammed with 2 bigs storms and we rely on VIP for snowplowing & shoveling. On the 1st storm I was disappointed that they plowed and carved up some of my lawn so I called them to complain. They explained why (very heavy snow) they showed concern and even more importantly, they did a stellar job on the most recent storm. You can tell the commitment of the folks you rely on when things don't go well, how they respond, and how the back up their promises. VIP treated me with VIP service which is why I give them 5 stars!
