Greendale Family Branch YMCA: what do users think?
christopher cain: A good will shout out to this YMCA. They have been plagued by a series of circumstances that have left many members grumbling in dissatisfaction for many months. Today marked a comeback with all amenities up and running. If it weren’t for the fantastic staff I would have left long ago. They deserve a Y they can be proud of. Today , you got that! Let’s keep it going🤗
Talon Tripp: Great place to swim.
ashley lewis: Rude staff! Most of the staff are always looking for things to complain about, I been given snide remarks many times, I Been told I need meetings to address certain topics when all I’m trying to do is Work out ! Makes for an uncomfortable and hostile environment for no reason . Been told two different things by different staff about basic policies and procedures. This place has potential but some of the staff and their processes need to change . The unprofessionalism here is unreal, I never seen a gym operate like this before . This place is like high school , very clicky and if someone doesn’t like U for whatever reason they try to make your experience bad here . I see other reviews that share my same concerns. who ever looks over these reviews should re look at their staff approach to people who just want to go to the gym and relax ! Also the child watch is so /so. My oldest son isn’t very well liked by staff in there and gets kicked out within minutes of starting and this has happened too many times to count yet I’m supposed to pay an extra fee for a service we can’t even use. I been to other child watches before and they never complained once , so it’s this particular gym . A staff named John brown is Rude and demanded on more than 1 occasion in order for my son to go back to child watch I need to meet with him first in person even against my comfort ! Mean while There’s nothing that can’t be addressed by phone or email. before John brown came into the picture sending my child to child watch was never like this . Again , makes for a very hostile , stressful environment! Sad because the gym is supposed to be a place u go to destress not cause u stress! The processes and certain staff in place make this gym not even worth it. I don’t want to be contacted by a staff who works here again , I’m a member not an employee! no one helps or changes anyways just looks for ways to benefit themselves . I wrote plenty of details in this review . Do not call me !!
Andy: Friendly, Clean and Well Maintained except some lockers need repair.
Dalida Rocha: Most of the staff are friendly but there is a staff member who is extremely RUDE and thinks she needs to police us. She literally stays in the back watching and as soon as you make a mistake she is approaching you. I don’t need that type of pressure and disrespect when I’m trying to work out after paying $114 a month. No thank you!
Robert Wyman: To exspensive
Fr. Milad Selim: My second home!!! Staff members really care about the facility and create a safe environment for all ages. The place is clean and well maintained.
Clark Kent: Facilities are good but closing at 2:00PM on Sundays???? COVID is over! Stop choosing to close earlier, theres 24 hour gyms on the market!!!
Virginia Lynn Rose: The Greendale YMCA has the best Zumba instructors ever.Wednesday 6:35pm to 7:35pmFriday 9:15am to 10:15amZumba is cardio fitness dancing.Zumba feels like a party.Come join us. All are welcomed.Age 8 and up.U don't have to know how to dance to Zumba dance. If u like to dance then please come join us.For more information contact the Greendale YMCA.
kada account: I prefer this YMCA to the "brand new, bigger" one down in the boroughs - the greendale branch has life and community! love it.
Mudaser Qayomi: It was a great time
Victor Richman: Amazing folks and the lifeguards are amazing!
TlaytmasUSA: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
OG Lags x2: Positive:ProfessionalismThey need to close at 10pm
Audrey Dolson: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityLove the ymca friendly staff awesome pool and hot tub love the exercise equipment and a good place to work
Ara Surabian: I miss George I think
mustafa siddiq: It was my very horrible experiment ever in my life since 9 am I am trying to reach the front desk or any helper to help me to sign my kids in swimming classes they keep transfer me from one to another call then ending up in a voice mailI did more than 17 calls from 9 am all the way till 3 pm end up not couldn’t reach the office then I decided to leave my work one hour early so I can go there and once I arrived the front lady said I can’t enroll them and she gave me a card to go home and sign in online while I asked her should I need to be a member in ymca or I can enroll my kids only she said I don’t know go online I asked her about the prices and she said go onlineWhat I noticed the staff not helpful and decided to attend another place again
Yuanfei Bellido: Positive:Professionalism,QualityLove this place!
Courtney Elizabeth Young: I am so happy to be back after the temporary closure, the staff is doing amazing job at keeping things clean and sanitary, taking care of guests — to put it simply they are working extremely hard with this new way of doing things. To make a reservation is super easy through the app and I am so, so beyond thankful to the YMCA for having us back. 💛
Elpatron Ortiz: I Like this YMCA. The staff is friendly and the management staff are very helpful. Just one thing u should have the family time for the gym. It should be a age limit for the more smaller kids that almost get run over by the teenagers and even older gentlemen. 🙏 Besides fighting for a corner at the gym this facility is Awsome. Thank You Staff 🎉
Hamid Siamak: With respect to all negative reviews, I joined this branch in 2008 and coming here since, if we all agree with this fact: "a perfect place(Gym) does not exist" then we can have a better judgment. I strongly believe 90% of the staff are good people, members are friendly and The Y is place I can go with my family and enjoy working out. I will give them five star because they are trying hard to be five star. Hopefully in near future. Thanks and happy working out.

WPI Sports & Recreation Center: what do users think?
michael burke: Daughter was there for championships. Great viewing and free parking
Kerry Donovan: Limited seating for large swim meets
Kyle McFatter: Fantastic, all the weights and exercise equipment you need, plenty of space, fantastic all around.
Savithalal Birali: Love the pool and seating inside as well as outside. Lots of parking spaces and lots of food placed nearby
Louis Keen: Seating is poor
Suzanne Hoey: The venue was wonderful. However they booked themselves so fulll that there wasn't enough parking room. Some elderly people had to walk quite a distance from the road into the venue due to this. If it weren't for the parking situation I would have given them a five star rating.
Gene Anderson: Great venue. Excellent view lines from spectator seating.
Abigail Epplett: Beautiful sports facilities, along with great student-athletes and coaches. I really enjoyed competing against them while in college.
Ian here: I was wondering if the basketball court is public
AS A: I hope add trining classes for students
Sushmitha Belede: They occupy badminton courts and play volleyball all the time.
connor finn: A good college gym
Arvand N: The turf is ok, the rooftop turfs a little better than the one on first floor.
Killian Onwudiwe: Good facilities...place for good relaxation
Bridgette Lynn Skiles: Beautiful facilities. Love WPI
Brenndan Teeter: Great pool!
Lucy Chivers: I love to swim, and this is an amazing pool! It's a little cold, but still amazing. Love the lanes and warm down pool. WPI is the best.
Andrew Van Ostrand: Great campus had a robotics competition there was really fun
MHT: Nice place for workout. Clean environment. Multiple indoor courts.
Elif Asar: Pool is pretty big but I have seen better college gyms. The machines and the floors aren't clean. They should be cleaned more regularly and each machine should have a disinfecting solution along with wipes. Studios have dust piling up.
Gerard Donahue: Nice to see the MVCC finals there

Worcester Fitness: what do users think?
Joe Riopel: I feel fit just looking at this place.
Joey Ruffo: A great place to exercise. Great equipment and very clean facility. Excellent and helpful staff.
George Maharis: They are too expensive to begin with. Plus, unprofessional staff.
Thomas McGinley: At $109 and up per month (for month-to-month), WF is at the top of the regional market pricewise and, having been a member for a year now, increasingly I have felt that the value is not there. The equipment is serviceable, although there are some serious 'bottlenecks,' e.g. one set of fly cables in the entire facility, only one quality set of battle ropes (in a class studio, so usually inaccessible), one public sled often used by PT, which can derail workouts. Furthermore, a huge portion of the downstairs workout sections have been allocated to classes/PT. I understand the need to raise revenue, but this comes at the expense of the baseline experience which, at $109+/month, should feel like more than an afterthought. For gym users who just want to get in, get through your sets, and get out, I can't recommend WF in light of the amount of the dues.Lastly, for my month-to-month membership, WF collected last month's dues at sign-up. I have submitted my cancellation, but now I have access to the facility for an additional month, which I neither want nor need. I should have pushed back on this when I first signed up...be forewarned of this practice.Edit: WF’s response highlights the facility’s focus on all users other than those who wish to get in, get through their sets, and get out (i.e. do not need classes/PT). Which is fine! No facility can be everything to everyone; in my case, it was not a fit. I stand by my critiques of equipment bottlenecks at WF. Working people, at least, are not able to access the boot camp studio during the majority of the day, as they are working during the majority of the day (during the workweek). I made no accusation of lack of transparency regarding collection of last month’s dues at sign-up, but it is an ill-advised business practice as it encourages members who are ready to move on and have submitted their cancellation to continue utilizing the facility as the last month’s dues have already been collected. I maintain that I should have pushed back on this practice when I signed up, and I encourage potential members to do so, to avoid this awkward situation.
Pat Sylvester: Class reunion
Jacqueline Ahearn: Tremendouse-!!!
Margo Murphy: Wonderful pool equipment available to use by the poolside, clean salt and chlorine water mixed, hot clean showers and locker room. respectful friendly supportive staff. must book to schedule pool Lane, quick to respond if you leave a message. due to the covid that you must call ahead which guarantees you a lane, time you want half hour or 60 minute swim. Enjoy💜
David Lamontagne: I have been a satisfied member of Worcester Fitness for 7 years now, but wanted to update an earlier review to add my thoughts on the new Peak Fitness program they have added this year. This program truly take my workouts to a new level. The Power Met Con classes combine the motivation and camaraderie of a group class with the individual coaching of a Fitness professional. I also love the fact that they offer so many classes so I can always fit one in regardless of my schedule. Thank you Paul and team!
Matt Savage: It's the best gym in the city by far. The equipment and facility are in great condition, but what makes Worcester Fitness special are the owners and employees. They are knowledgeable and kind, always willing to lend a helping hand. It's a cliche but being a member is really like being part of a community.
Kenny Janulewicz: Bartender Grady is awesome and the crowd and atmosphere were great!
Dot Shea: Worcester Fitness provides a safe, caring and personalized exercise experience for all members. Be sure to go and check it out!!
Coconut Monkey: can you please post more picture of equipment. like do you have a standing hack squat machine? i dont see one in the few pics you have of the equipment. leg day isnt complete without a standing hack squat. thanks
Cara Bjorklund: The parent-child swim lessons were engaging for my infant son. Kat, our instructor, engaged her students through song and gentle but progressive interactions with the water. He's now comfortable with the water and we're still able to use the language and songs Kat used during instruction.
Michael McCluskey: Great Swim Program! All the staff and instructors are great with the kids. I’ve had children go through all levels and highly recommend introducing your infant to water with Worcester Fitness.
Claudia Vallejos: My girls love their swim classes at Worcester Fitness, they look forward to them every week. The teachers and entire staff at WF are awesome. The classes are small and the kids receive great instruction. Would recommend to anyone looking for swim lessons.
Christina Olson: We have always been pretty big on water safety and wanted to get our children swimming early. We have been to multiple sessions and had multiple instructors for their swim program and we have seen such incredible progress with both our daughters. Our oldest is comfortable and confident in the pool. She looks forward to each week and is excited when she makes progress from week to week! Our youngest is in the parent-child class and she loves when it's pool day. The inclusion of music and lessons has really helped her thrive! We will stick with Worcester Fitness for our swim classes and recommend them to everyone looking for classes!
Colleen Donahue: Worcester Fitness swimming lessons have been a wonderful experience for my daughter. She started attending when she was 7 months old. She is now 2 and loves going so much that she asks multiple times a week to put on her bathing suit and go to the pool. The instructors are knowledgeable, engaging, and bring positive energy to the class. I highly recommend this program.
Nadine Young: My 4 and 6 year old have been enjoying private lessons with Christine for nearly a year. I cannot belive the progress they have made - from getting comfortable in the water, learning water safety, and most recently new strokes. They have built skill and confidence, and it has been a great experience watching them grow each week.
Lauren Robichaud: Both my boys attend swim lessons. The teachers are amazing and patient. I have seen such improvement with their swimming and they love the water now.
Elyse Favreau: We love swimming lessons at Worcester Fitness! My 3.5 year old been attending weekly for about 6 months now and has become so much more comfortable in the water. Miss Kat and the other instructors do a fantastic job introducing a variety of swimming techniques and water safety lessons. We would strongly recommend this program!
Joseph Cancelmo: My daughter was good in the water, however having a pool in the back yard, I wanted her to be stronger - so off to Worcester fitness we went - we started with regular classes and I decided private would be more beneficial and I was right. Her instructor Laura was a saint and my daughter is a sting swimmer now because of it. I even had my step son go and he is now on a new level. We are going to resume more lessons this spring to keep the momentum.

British Swim School at Hart Center Pool at the Luth Athletic Complex: what do users think?
Kristina Dunlavey: My daughter loves swimming with British Swim! Mr. Patrick has been just what she needs to help her realize her true potential. All of the staff is wonderful and we appreciate you! Thank you for always listening and, in doing so, helping my daughter grow to be the swimmer she is striving for.
Abhijit Deokar: My son and daughter were attending BSS. Very cooperative and ethical practices. Highly recommend for skills of teaching for Patrick B and cooperative Mellisa.
Morgan Rocks: Our experience at BSS has been wonderful! The teachers are caring and attentive to each child's individual needs. Out kid loves going to swim class, has been making great progress and is developing confidence in the water. His goal is to eventually make Barracuda! He also gets on well with the teachers and is even starting to make friends with his classmates. We can't really ask for anything more!
Noelia Chafoya: My son (3 yo) and I love the BSS and have been part of the program for 9 months. We have taken clases in Paxton, Westborough, and now Worcester and we truly enjoy the classes and instructors. I am happy my son is learning the survival skills to be prepared for the water.
Willie Pitts: The swim instructors are great with my son. He was afraid to learn how to swim but was very comfortable off the bat with them. He's learned so much over the past couple weeks. I am very happy with my decision to choose to send him to the British Swim School!
Omayra Roman: I absolutely love how amazing the instructors are with both of my autistic children. They are extremely kind, patient & caring instructors.
Lilian Sampaio: Super indico, it's a great swimming school

Central Community Branch YMCA: what do users think?
Roscoe Porter: Great place friendly staff just don’t come at 5 AM. I need all the weights.🤣
Maryjane Greenfields: You can't go wrong here, at any age! Join, add muscles 💪, drop extra weight, or put it on, if too thin. Follow up Physical Therapy, doing what they surest here, & heal better, faster, & rebuild your body to its apex.
Virginia Lynn Rose: The Central Community Branch YMCA has the best Zumba Instructors ever.Wednesday 6:15pm-7:15pmFriday 6:15pm-7:15pmZumba is cardio fitness dancing.Zumba feels like a party.Come join us. All are welcomed.Age 8 and up.U don't have to know how to dance to Zumba dance. If u like to dance then please come join us.For more information contact the Central Community Branch YMCA
J K: 3 floor YMCA. Great pool and exercise equipment.
Abigail Baez: Perfect location for a ‘City Gym’, clean, so much more than I had expected. After swearing off gym memberships for life, clearly this place is doing a lot right for me to join.
Val Casagranda: The staff is great in the after school and remote program!
Avaシ: I just don’t like it at all the staff are rude and they tell your parents everything
Robert Grimes: #1 I think it's pretty rotten that I was charged all of March. Then they bill my credit card for April 68.00. They're closed. Should not be billing no one. Very disappointed in the Management. Reported people more than once. Even filed a formal complaint of people on their cell phones in the Locker room, Steam room, and Sauna. Peoples privacy should be respected. This is so wrong. So disrespectful. They do nothing about it. I may be calling news center 5 and tell them to investigate this if I see it 1 more time. Which I will. Happens every time I go. Refund us our money.
Shanieka7: I miss the classes they had, Monday through Thursday. I would like to see more group fitness classes offered.
Irene Magana: I like that it has tons of equipment available
Detyre E posaçme: Bad music always lauded on purpose by workers ,l am not using anymore this gym, bye,l am using different gym now ,you have less costumer now
Marcelle Champagne: Love the classes!
wilDBeast101: My only complaint in this place is that some workers are kind of rude and I don't like that
xiu xiu chen: Today was very disappointing. The children were soaked into the pool. Lifeguards told us that only birthday parties are invited to the pool. This is a public place, not a private party. Can we not swim at your birthday party? This is very unfair to us
Rachel H: Why does it take more than 8 days and more than two requests to get an application for summer camp sent out? I've been told TWICE now by two different people that it would be sent out. What is the problem? Why can't people do their jobs? If this place is supposed to be serving the community, how can community members enroll their children if they can't get an application? MIFFED and DISAPPOINTED.
Amanda O'Malley: This branch doesn't respond to applications for membership other than to say a letter is in the mail, but it never arrives.
Lana Sadeq: Pool is so clean
Brian Gar Cohen: I love this place
Stephanie Cleveland: I like it here just bad area/location.

Gymnastics Learning Center: what do users think?
Kate D: We LOVE GLC! Fantastic teachers and attention to each child.
Sharan Tulsiani: Extremely bad experience, the instructor was not willing to give our kid a chance to cope. After 2 classes had the front desk call us and asked us to switch class for our child. Lacking professionalism and compassion. Not every kid comes to excel from session #1. Give them time to acquaint and assimilate!! Don’t judge a 3 year old …. Pls think twice before you enroll your child here … it’s a “JUDGEMENT ZONE” also, labeled our child as a “ Liability “ because she didn’t complete a circuit and attention got diverted. She was only learning her environment at her 3rd session and got side lined!! That was apparently a HUGE FAULT OF A 3 year old .. Left an extremely BAD feeling for us! Thinking of the ——— Toddler group 3-5 yrs - BEWARE!! 🙏
Matt Last: I have been a member of GLC for years and never owed them a single penny. My daughter quit in September 2021 and they still charged me for "October" 2021 and it not like its a few dollars its "100's" of dollars. You would think that after giving them literally over 10k dollars that they wouldn't have to do this. I guess its somewhere in the "deep" fine print that they don't go over with you in detail, that if you child quits you still owe them quite a bit of money. I called to discuss thinking they would say ok we will give you a partial credit back but to no avail they stated "you signed the contact". so my suggestion and advice to anyone considering going here is to make sure your willing to pay big bucks if you child quits. Its too bad they do this because the coaches there are quite good. But if you have the money to burn then this won't be a worry.
Audrey Papandrea: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
leila clements: this is my home and i cant wait to be back
Amy Zeng: Very nice customer services and professional training.
Megan Elliott: Great place to take your children to Gymnastics and the summer camps and swim lessons are great!
Brenda Synan: We’ve been a GLC family for going on 9 years. My older daughter started with recreation classes when she was about 6. Her coach, Ms. Deb, still asks how she’s doing every time we see her. My younger daughter has been a team gymnast for going on 6 years. The coaches are knowledgeable, patient, encouraging and kind. They are always working with the girls to make them feel confident in themselves and their skills. The front desk staff is always so friendly and responsive, they answer all my questions with smile. Thank you GLC for making us feel like part of your family.
Mia Lombardi: Just had a horrible experience with GLC! I recently moved into the area and was looking for a competitive gym for my 7yr old (doing gymnastics since she was 3.) I was advised not to bring my daughter to this gym, and I wish I had listened!During my daughter's first class here, she was noticeably sad (moved out of state/away from home & her old gym recently) and the instructor teaching her scolded her and referred to her behavior afterwards as an "attitude issue." I explained why she was upset and decided to stick it out. Today, my 7yr old was sent to the back of line and told that her attempts were "unacceptable" while she was literally in tears. This barely college-aged instructor is the least professional that I've ever come in contact with. I hope she hasn't discouraged my daughter who (again) has been doing gymnastics on a competitive track for the past four years.Yanking her out of this establishment immediately and looking forward to the start of the competitive season with another business.
David: After posting a review with negative comments, they reached out to address my concerns. They listened to what I had to say, and it seems that they've tried to take it constructively. I appreciate listening and trying to make things better. Most people aren't comfortable voicing complaints, so when they are voiced, organizations should take them seriously. I'm glad that some places still do this. Upgrading my rating accordingly.
Rick Roy: Gym is great, both my kids (6&4) love it. If they are happy, I’m happy. Really suprised to see any negative reviews...
Donna Mcarthur: Great place for kindergarten and preschool. Along with a great gymnastic program.
Lola Lux: I see why this place has 2 stars! They refused to enroll my 5 year old in the 5 year old class because she wasn’t in kindergarten. A class for 3-5 year olds is very large age bracket and will slow down the 5 year olds. The last I checked 5 is 5 regardless! Her “grade” doesn’t matter. The gym is super small, too.
Nicole Labbe: Classes way too crowded
Mike O'Farrell: Ms. Jenn rules! We love this place for all that they offer for an amazing price!
