West Side House of Worcester: what do users think?
Melinda Howell: I found I to be great the staff are amazing and I loved working there
Bernadette Potenti: ive applied many times and never got a response
meghan tennant: The residents there do not do anything but sit and be bored as for the TBI rehabilitation it is non existent an there is no physical therapy room no physical therapy exercise equipment and and the executive director hides in his office all day with a big sign that says do not disturb None of the directors want to hear from the residents they act as though it's a burden. They didn't give me my covid pay either! This place only cares about the money coming in. Some of the kitchen staff care and some of the CNA's care but that's it. In the short time I was there I heard nothing but complaints from those residents and when I bring it to the attention of those who need to change it nothing happens The building is so old inside old inside and needs an uplift badly Every department is understaffed. I would never work for that company again.
Lisa S Judkins LMHC, NCG: West side house may be an older building but they have done much renovation to update it. They have many long term staff that care deeply for the residents and the importance of the job they do.
Taylor Morgan: Staff are very caring and do the best they can to make each residents experience a positive one!
Katelyn Romano: West Side House staff are friendly and hard working. You can tell the staff really care about the residents. Highly recommend this facility to any family looking for a TBI program!
Maura Ratchford: The staff at West Side House are genuinely caring and loving to their residents. Treating them as their family. They relocated one half of their residents to the Renovated 1st floor.this week. Enthusiasm and Teamwork with great care to every detail for residents rooms...Residents and Staff deserve a Round of Applause 👏👏👏👏👏
fatty fatty: Not even worth a review I wouldn’t even waste my time with words place is a joke 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bernadette Capoccia: I have been at West Side House for over 25years and I enjoy the population that I work with.
Brianna Donahue: Great resident population! Some of the nicest and sweetest people who make coming to work worth it!
Carrie Webster: Family owned and operated for many years, and many years of service to veterans. Compassionate staff who help residents overcome their challenges. The Brain Injury program is unique!
Judy Morrow: There was a man there who died and they had his prosthetic leg standing outside the shower room. How gross!
Kristine Champagne: The only reason why I gave it a 1 is that’s the only way I could put a commentThis place gets a 0 because the second I went in the building I got a strong smell of urineThree people in a roomWorkers not niceHave to take elavater down to basement To eat and a small room to do activitiesI would not bring my dog there
Jacqueline Sylvia: The staff and administration could not have been more kind and compassionate. The facility may be a little older but the people make the place. The people at West Side House were fantastic! My family member said if he could give more than 5 stars he would.
Maria Merced: I want to for CNA job and they had me take a test because I got a 72 I was not what they were looking for wan you good for you State test they want you to get a 75 or more
moonshinejayy: i use to work here as a dietary aide. hard worker never got introuble for anything. i did my job and went home at the end of my shift to take care of my girls so that my fiance can go to work. after a few months of working at this place i got fired. why? because my boss who showed up 3 months after i was hired there decided to give me a choice between my job and my 2 little girls..guess what i chose? this place is ridiculous. dont send any family members here. i worked in the kitchen and some things were half-assed. there is no real managment in this place what so ever!!
Lynda Ryan: My mother was at this place..very dirty extremely under staffed.Food was absolutly disgusting. As soon as we were able to we took my mother out.I could not believe this place existed so dingy and smelled all the time.
Beverly Blackwood: After 2+ yrs of dedicated service working there I was fired unjustly because they need to cut budget. Fighting for my reputation now, Human resource don't care about your good work just about saving money. Heartless management.
Chinaa Bankz24: Very bad I never recieved my check or my dementia certificate from them. Don't work there.
Marlene Geary: Horrific place - do not let your relatives stay here. My 59 year old uncle entered West Side House after an extended hospital stay and he was able to walk with a walker. They kept him restrained to a chair where he proceeded to lose the ability to walk because he wasn't using his leg muscles (which atrophied). He then lost continence because they wouldn't come to let him go to the bathroom when he had to, so he simply gave up. They also said they were experienced in VA care and they were not. The clothes we bought for him (and had specially monogrammed) never came back from the laundry - only the clothes they bought for him. They fought to keep him when we battled to have him transferred - they said he was assaulting nurses, although we still do not understand how a man with his arms restrained to his chair can assault nurses.Make no mistake - this is a *for profit* institution and their intention is to profit from every patient. Please do not let your family members go to this place.

Charlton Manor Rest Home: what do users think?

Truly feels like home away from home! The best part beside the people, is, I come home STRESS FREE!! Ashley Erickson: Charlton Manor is very organized, along with a very friendly and welcoming environment. I enjoy working there along with the team, everyone is respectful of one another and show how much they care for each individual resident. Deb the manager and owner Micheal have both been very pleasant to work for.
Nicole LaJoie: I recently started working at Charlton Manor and i must say i am VERY pleased! The staff are so nice and there all postivie and strong workers. They work together to get the job done! Managment will do anything to work with you and aroud what you can work. The residents there are great and i am very happy with my experience with Charlton Manor.
denise senosk: Where to begin?Debra and Michael are great at talking the charlton Manor up. They made it sound wonderful… we took the bait and placed our dad in room number 5 on the first floor. We had an ok first week as a transition period for my dad, the family and the staff. Then reality set it….first and foremost is the lack of communication between staff and family. Very hard to speak to someone when we called and if you left a message the call was seldom returned. Next there is the lack of and very young and incapable staff with emphasis on disrespectful to the residents. My dad had a skin tare on his arm from a fall, staff covered it with gauze wrapped it and then didn’t check it for three days. At that point the blood had dried the gauze was stuck to the wound. Staff then just pulled it off causing the wound to get deeper and larger. We had to ask for visiting nurse from Overlook to come in three times a week just to dress his wounds properly. Fortunately he was also receiving services weekly for speech, PT and OT as well as a HHA to assist him with showering twice s week. He looked forward to the familiar faces and caring therapists working with him. Unfortunately for my dad that’s where the caring ended. The lack of supervision allowed another resident to frequently visit my dads room at times “flashing” him her breasts! Also removing items from his room! The final straw was a Thursday about 4:45 when my dad fell in the bathroom. Stated he called for help and Noone came. He managed yo get himself up and back to his room across the hall and into his recliner. When staff brought him his dinner he told them he fell and they brushed it off because there were no visible issues. He called me and told me when I questioned the staff I was told he never fell. The next morning staff called me stating he was yelling that “ it hurts and begging for help”. I told them to call the ambulance. Well wouldn’t you know when he DID fall the day before he broke his ribs! He was in the hospital for two weeks then went to rehab. Nursing never called to ask how he was. Unfortunately for my dad it was the beginning of the end of a several month battle with other issues and he recently passed. Please people DO NOT send your loved ones to charlton manor in charlton ma!!!Denise Senosk
Ney Bear: I work at this establishment as an evening/weekend cook and I can say that it's been a pleasure being employed here. The owner and staff care deeply for the residents and the residents themselves are lovely! The building and grounds are well kept and inviting, and the daily atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable.
Halle Sanchez: I worked for several months at the Manor, you will never find a more welcoming and understanding environment. I don’t have enough nice things to say about the owner Micheal and manager Deb. Not only are they amazing at management but they are extremely empathetic and easy to get along with people. Furthermore, I have only good things to say about my fellow staff members whom were all friendly and helpful whenever I had questions or needed help with shift tasks. The facility itself has a rustic charm which is evident with the numerous pictures scattered throughout the house as an attribute to those who used to live in the house before the facility was founded. With a housekeeper whom comes in daily each room is always meticulously cleaned ensuring that sanitation is always at a high standard. With the resident’s happiness being a top priority, they frequently bring them out places as well as host numerous activities and events each month. I quickly became attached to every resident with each having their own unique and charming personalities and preferences but nonetheless each one was polite and courteous towards me. I look forward to returning to work on my breaks from college as it is hands down the best place I have ever worked, below are pictures of the residents 💜
Sophia. B: The Charlton Manor is a beautiful rest home. I highly trust them and would bring my loved ones there. The staff are all friendly and caring, especially the owner Michael. The manor is a clean home, with amazing staff and food too!
daniel fitts: The place was very clean and the workers are the best. A+
Peter DelloStritto: We have the opportunity to collaborate with Charlton Manor Rest Home in providing care to their residents in need of Nursing and Therapy. I can say without reservation that the staff is caring and compassionate to the residents they care for. The Charlton Manor team is dedicated to the care of their residents.
Nicole Kohberger: 14 months ago my life was changed forever when I lost my husband to covid. For the last 18 years I have been the stay at home Mom and worked small part time jobs. Now that all needed to change. I good friend of mine is the manager at the manor. She is one of the most kind hearted women I know. I knew she must manage a wonderful and safe environment that I needed. I started at the manor almost a year ago and I quickly felt part of this wonderful caring family. I needed to be somewhere that I could continue to heal through my grief. Somewhere that was is understanding of what I was going through. This is the place I needed to be. The owner Michael, Debra the manager and all the women here have helped me through so much. They got me the vaccine and booster as soon as they could along with all the staff and residents. As we still continue to fight through covid I feel safe here. Everyone is diligent about following safety precautions and that is so important. The level of care here is outstanding. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure residents always have what they need and want, even if that means we take special trips to Walmart. A lot of these residents do not have family so we become that family and we love them as if they are. This place is beautiful and clean and you can feel the heartfelt warmth the minute you walk in. My heart is happy to be here all week with these amazing people.
Angela Perry: Charlton Manor is where you would want to send your loved one. It is such a wonderful family environment ❤️. The staff there are reliable, dependable, trustworthy, and most of all they are extremely caring! I am fairly new to the facility and I would definitely recommend Charlton Manor to my friends and family hands down! I am glad I made the move there and I plan on staying there for years to come. Michael the owner and Deborah the manager are the absolute best. If you see this you're definitely going to want to share this. Go on share this. ❤️
Jerry Clean: Great work environment with an amazing group of people who live inside the home, who are very helpful and just some one the kindest people.
Wilson Garcia: On many occasions I have visited the mansion and I have been surprised with its staff that works very friendly with the residents and the kindness with which the owner Michael Turpin and the Manager Debra Fitts address the staff, the visitors and the great treatment so the residents is something that pleases me, they treat them with love and patience.
Katrina Wright: Charlton Manor is a beautiful, very grand facility privately owned by Michael Turnpin. As a long term employee it's a wonderful place to work that's why I've been there so long, I love it and the residents love living there as it's very family oriented, just like home. There is 24 hour care, delicious meals, private rooms, shopping trips and lots of activities to keep busy. Manager Debbie Fitts will take you on a tour of the facility, vacancies are limited because it's such a beautiful, peaceful place set on 27 acres of woods and gardens. If you are looking for a family member I highly recommend you come and visit, talk with Michael Turnpin and Debbie Fitts to discuss your loved ones health needs.
The Violin Kat: I frequently perform for the residents at the Charlton Manor. It is one of my favorite places to perform! It is always so clean, cozy, and welcoming. The staff are all so kind, and the food being served always looks so good. The residents are always comfortable and happy, and the owner Michael is so good to them. I highly recommend this rest home.
milena rogalski: After working here for 5 months, I can say confidently that the Charlton Manor Rest Home is a loving and caring atmosphere for residents and staff. The residents love to do the daily activites especially our themed drink nights ( non-alcoholic of course) ! A big thank you to Michael Turpin and Debra Fitts for keeping this place up and running.
Yesenia De Garcia: I have been working for the mansion for three years, first I thank God for putting me in a great workplace and second I thank Michael Turpin, the owner, and Debra Fitts, the manager, for giving me this opportunity to work in this beautiful and welcoming home, we are a group in which we work to be able to attend and give adequate attention to each resident whatever their need.
Aly Giroux: My experience placing My loved one here was very unpleasant. When they felt things weren't working for my loved one, after only a few weeks, there the assistant Deb became very rude and unprofessional. My worst experience with some in this field since 1998 when I became a CNA. I would not recommend this Manor based on my personal experience.
