Maker to Main: what do users think?
Shae: Very nice people I just live next door. It’s not my type of store it’s kind of an upscale corner store reminds me of a mini Whole Foods. The staff are such incredibly nice people
Scott Brenham: I figured I would share a piece of knowledge. Although I have not been here the photos look nice. For the owner The number 1 reason that the downtown in Worcester and some of the other restaurant and businesses around Worcester struggle and the county is many owners run on low end budget example. like brew on the grid coffee ready made packaging and processed the coffee doesn't stack up and failed outside locations and closed them. Same as inhouse coffee. Crust bakery is a cut corners I have taste pallet nothing artisan. the new rooftop bar and grill is a budget. Some places are fine but alot are not. If you compare this area to Boston area, providence Portland, especially NYC or even western Massachusetts thrive with business I was noticing that when I visit every week. it does not come close quality is not really the business it's about money. Many customers do notice this. Just sharing info.
Sean: Beautiful store and wonderful products!! Would highly recommend to anyone!
Christopher Simpson: I saw in the news today Maker to Main is struggling. No tears here. When I owned the only winery in the city (with the highest rated wines in the state according to Wine Enthusiast, so it's not because my product sucked), They had no interest in carrying my wines. It seems they don't always support local.I never said "no" to a local business that wanted to partner. If I had a need, I always reached out to a local partner first. ALWAYS.I even had a chocolatier that I loved working with in Framingham. But when I heard about a chocolatier in Holden creating high quality products, I reached out to them because they were even MORE local than who I was working with. That's how seriously I took supporting other local businesses. And I see them rationalizing not actually being "local" in an earlier poor review. If you think within 400 miles is "local", you're deluding yourself. Evidently they think Baltimore (363 miles) is "local" 👍Karma is a fickle thing...
Shiro Cross: Everyone was very kind whenever I needed help, and it was a great place
Morgan C: A really neat little market selling only local and sustainable foods and goods. They have a selection of pantry staples, produce, dairy, meat, eggs, breads, and beer/wine. Nice quality stock with super friendly staff.
Elisa Bruno-Midili: Local as local can get! Family owned Worcester favorite. Prepared foods, Mediterranean delights and much more. Browse the large selection, take home and enjoy. Olives, feta, grape leaves, flatbreads!
Julia Auger: We love having Maker to Main in worcester! A great local grocer with a variety of New England made products. Always love to try something new when we shop. Thanks for being downtown!
Paul Holleran: I love maker to main.My two kids go to the daycare in the area, so I drop in every now and then when I pick my kids up. I'm sure my wife would be in there every single morning if they were open for drop-off time!Personally, I frequent the ice cream freezer for some fresh LOCAL ice cream from a microcreamery a couple towns over that I have been to. It's so convenient being able to pick up a pint at maker to main on the way home.My next stop is to the beer cooler to find out what is new and exciting and something that I have never had before. There is always something different in their rotating selection.I just found out when I was talking to the owner, Lynn, that she has worked with local fair trade coffee suppliers and roasters to select a custom type of coffee with the qualities of the top selling coffee beans that were previously in her store. I can't wait to see what it tastes like.I guess I should have started with the best part, which is the people. They are always so nice and helpful with whatever questions I may have (which is usually about the beer). Lynn and her staff are top notch. Their best recommendation was the Popzup popcorn bags out of NH that they now keep on a shelf next to the registers. My favorite is the maple cinnamon sugar, and it is terribly addicting. I always have a great time chatting with the ladies when I drop in.My wife and I love supporting this small business.
Kate Rose: Visited for the first time a few weeks ago. Staff was friendly and helpful. Selection was great despite being small. Found a few neat things I hadn’t seen before at other local retailers. Will be back!
Robert Burgess: Great store. High quality products. Helpful staff. I highly recommend you check it out!
Chelsea Blasco: We love any opportunity to brag on one of our favorite local spots. Something about walking into M2M just makes you feel “home”. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about every local product in the store. They will even bounce recipe ideas off of you! There is always something new and exciting and the displays are simply stunning. As someone with Celiac Disease I appreciate their attention to various dietary needs. We love you M2M!
R. Joshua Angell: How have I never left a review here?? I've only over-spent on incredible local delicacies here like a dozen times in the past year 🤣 Love every square inch of the place, the products, and the people!! The photos I have are from the past few years and mostly ones I sent to my husband to see what he wanted me to buy LOL. You can be 500% sure I will be back at M2M very very soon 😁
Jasmine Hollins-Gadbois: My go to grocery store! Farm fresh eggs, milks and plant based milks! If you want to walk in and experience something similar to a personal shopping experience for groceries this is your spot! Always something new and unexpected to find while shopping!
David O: Great locally owned and operated gem in the heart of Worcester. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the local selection is great!
Melissa Jean O'Brien: Maker to Main is an absolute gift to Worcester, and adds so much extra love and local flair to Main Street! The team is just lovely, and they know everything about each of the products available in the store. Not only is everything local, but there are dairy-free and gluten-free options available as well!! As someone with Celiac, it’s so helpful to be able to find gluten free foods at a local shop, and I am so thankful that M2M does not overlook those of us with dietary restrictions! If you have the chance, be sure to stop into Maker to Main!
Amy Lynn Chase: Love this shop. I’m able to get many local favorites from farms and makers when I don’t have time to visit them or a Famers Market. It’s has also added so much value to our downtown! Thanks for being here! ❤️
Karlee F.: Maker to main is truly a special and unique grocery store. I especially love their local meat and freezer selections. The staff are so friendly as well. It is on the pricier side, as to be expected with a specialty local market, but you get what you pay for!
Hannah Katz: A breathe of fresh air in downtown Worcester. It’s SO fun to browse their selections and discover new obsessions. I asked a few questions and preferences to the person working the day I visited and I was so appreciative of their knowledge and attention to each product. They know what they are supplying their shelves with and only want the best for their customers! I travel from Southbridge to come here (30 minutes) - extremely worth it.
Kate Ota: This place is a gem! Incredible selection of local products. I'm obsessed with their produce and farm flowers. The staff is super nice and friendly. If you haven't been I strongly recommend.
Jessica Frank: A beautiful, friendly market that offers a nice variety of produce and products.

Erik Sojka: Enjoyed the Worcester Canal Food Tour with Lori in November 2021. We are from SE Mass, but know very little about Worcester, so when our daughter enrolled at WPI we decided to try this out. Very glad that we did! Lori is an awesome tour guide and person. She does a great job of tying interesting local history with each stop, which I thought was quite interesting. The food stops and locations were fun and the food was fantastic. We plan to try this again in the spring or summer during baseball season. Thanks again!
Kristen Eshleman: We just moved to New England and this tour was at the top of our "To Do" list. It exceeded our expectations. The food was fantastic. And discovering the history of Worcester was even better—so many hidden gems in this area. If you want to see the real New England, book one of these tours!

Olivia Townsend: Whenever I travel to new cities, I always include a food tour in my itinerary. The Worcester Canal Food Tour is the best food tour I have ever done! Not only are the food stops full of variety and taste, they also illustrate the diverse cultural roots of Worcester itself. Lori is smart, funny and engaging. Her storytelling is informative and interesting. I am very much looking forward to returning to do the "Woman's Food Tour" to learn about the contributions of women to the lifeblood of this secondary city. I received one as a gift and was thrilled to have some of my favorite goodies delivered right to my doorstep! Can't wait to go back!Service:Group tours
William Courtney: We ordered a treat box for my parents in TN, during the pandemic. They loved it! They are from the northeast, and all of the items reminded them of back home. My mom loved the honey, and my dad loved the toffee. The box was really well packaged and delivered on time. This was the perfect pandemic pick-me-up! I highly recommend and will be sending these to more folks.
Susan Landry: Every time I’ve been on this tour, my experience has been delightful. Lori is a Master storyteller. She has the ability to make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. She has a way of letting you know the History of the Canal District, that is informative and interactive, and on top of that we get to eat! What a brilliant concept. So much is being accomplished here. History, Fabulous Sampling’s of Delicious Food and wonderful small Businesses are being introduced along the way...if you are even thinking about doing this, my experience says you cannot lose!
