Matthew Gilbert: Matt was absolutely 100% great we had a leaky basement and had numerous contractors, specialists for wet basements come look and quote us and other masonry companies as well- All said similar things I how to handle the issue but they also all pushed for a specialty service only they provided and no one else could offer supposedly. After meeting with around 5 different people & getting pricing to fix our basement which ranged from $6,000 -$12,000 since a portion of the stone foundation needed to be demoed and rebuilt we came across Matt and his company. I saw that somepeople had negative remarks but we figured it couldn't hurt for him to come tell us what he thought and give us a quote.Matt blew us away, he is very knowledgeable, was attentive (listening to our concerns and we even brought up that we had saw some negative reviews on a certain app. He had no problem addressing all of my questions including the reviews! We were surprised to say the least. Matt explained he had some bad crew members in the past that were not reliable and made things more difficult on a few job sites and had since let them go and has proceeded to move forward on his own and to begin restoring his name through his work and of course there are always a few customers every business man comes in contact with that are never happy with anything weather it's perfectly done or not. He proceeded to investigate the leaky basement and found everything the others did and more actually and came up with a price to fix it 100 percent correct with out any stops made financially and then a secondary price that would also stop the leaking completely but with out some of the extra above and beyond fixes that he recommended to make sure no matter what if one fix missed some water the secondary fix would grab it. As Matt explained the first option was not only fixing the issue but putting some safety nets in place just in case and was going above and beyond to keep the basement dry under any conditions and either option was more economical than the other 5 quotes that were presented to us plus Matt's process seamed to be much more precise in attacking our issue and even had back up fixes incase we got some severe weather in the future to keep the problem from coming back for ever. Matt took pictures while he was here and let us know that he does this on all jobs so he has before during and after shots for hard to handle clients or incase the building inspector for our town wanted to know how something was handled he could see It. Matt then proceeded to thank us for our time and never once pressured us or made us feel uncomfortable and actually was very informative. Once he left I did some research about the solutions he proposed and he was 100 % correct on everything plus the pricing he gave us was great, so we moved forward with Matt and he came in was very professional, polite and productive got the job done in a timely fashion and we couldn't be happier it looks great but more importantly it worked our basement went from have 4in of water every time it rained good to dry as a bone!!!We never had any problems with Matt and I would recommend him to family members and friends without even taking a min. Matter of fact he is now doing a project at my father in laws house building a stone wall in the front on the house and he is already half done after only week on site and it looks amazing with lighting built into the wall and even a light socket so my father in law doesn't have to run a huge extention cord while cleaning up the yard.Both myself and my father in law have nothing but great things to say all around! Scott Bartlett: Jeff did a great job installing the stone around my fireplace, including cutting out some of my hardwood floor to install a bluestone hearth. He was prompt at coming out and providing a quote, provided excellent communication as to when I would expect him, worked with me on some nuances on my timeline, and through the install, he kept the area clean. Overall, I was very happy with the level of detail and craftsmanship that he performed. I’d definitely use JB Mohler Masonry again.
