Worcester County Memorial Park: what do users think?
Andrea Thomas: Very peaceful place, water, statues, and all markers are flat to the ground-making for a "park" feel. Employees are helpful. There are special markers for sale for Veterans that are removed for the winter, and you can put them back in the spring.
Betty Fox: All my family is there great place and great people
Eleanor Norling: A quiet peaceful place. My grandmother, mother, and daughter are buried here. The grounds always look well kept up.
Tracy Day: Beautiful drive and view
Michael Pellegrini: A nice and large cemetery. Pleasant and in a nice area.
Corey Barton: Most of my family is buried here, and the grounds are always immaculately maintained. There's a few statues around evoking Christianity, but for the most part the place is very secular.

Worcester County Memorials Inc: what do users think?
Maria Alicata: We met with Colleen who went above and beyond helping me and my family pick out a headstone for my son. It was a very difficult thing to do and I wasn't looking forward to picking out a headstone. But as soon as we arrived Colleen made us feel at ease and very comfortable. She gave us many great ideas and worked with me for weeks and months to get the design and writing just right. I strongly recommend Worcester County Memorials highly. They are very professional and very sympathetic to what me and my family were going through and made the process so much easier. If you need their service, please do not hesitate to contact them. They will walk you through every step of the way until everything is done to your satisfaction.
Mike Roy: My family's experience with Worcester County Memorials was a very good one. Colleen was pleasant and knowledgeable Their showroom had several samples to choose from. I would recommend them to take care of your monument needs.
Elaine Reid: From A to Z, Worcester County Memorials was a pleasure to work with, for all the right reasons. Prompt, efficient service (even in a "covid world"); follow-up; and quality of product. I highly recommend them because I didn't have to DO anything, other than write the check!! LOL Thank you WCM!!
Racheal Ellis: Helped themselves to sending me a letter while I’m still grieving the fresh loss of my father. Don’t even know how they got my info but I’m assuming they just search for relatives of people who recently passed!!!
Domenica Donnini: Colleen had patience and was very understanding. It was a very difficult time for me and I had no idea where to start. Colleen was wonderful with brainstorming on ideas and options. When I saw the actual stone in place, I was truly amazed at how beautiful it had come together.Thank you Colleen for being so sincere.I greatly appreciated all your help.Domenica Donnini
Leanne Etre Mcpherson: Beautiful, absolutely stunning statues and headstones on display outside. The fire fighter carving in the side yard is the most beautiful, as well as intricate stone carving I've ever seen. If you want a magnificent stone to honor your loved one, Worcester County Memorials is an amazing choice. I've posted photos of their winter hours as well as the usual hours. The location is great, as it's easily seen from the road; being located on the corners of George St and rte. 20 in Shrewsbury. Ample parking in front of the building as well.
F M: I am so impressed with the the service I received from Colleen. I wish I could give her more stars. I had heard, they were under new ownership and being a past customer I had hoped for the same service I received prior.Only to discover the service I was given recently was beyond amazing. Bravo to the new owner and Thank You to Colleen for making a very difficult situation a pleasant experience. I went in with very basic ideas and came out with a true piece of art that captures my Dad’s life perfectly. It will be a pleasure visiting the cemetery.
Henry Harrington: Very impressed With the service provided Excellent workmanship
Jill Dougan: Colleen at Worcester County Memorials was absolutely wonderful. She helped me select my father's military market, providing helpful suggestions to make it personal and beautiful. Colleen was so very nice and friendly yet completely compassionate in helping me through a difficult task. My dad's marker came out so very nice. Thank you, Colleen, for everything you did to help me.
Mary Ellen Costa: Colleen and Worcester County Memorials we’re beyond fantastic! It was an extremely difficult time and Colleen was genuinely sympathetic and understanding! Her suggestions for our stone were amazing and so was the art work. The entire experience was positive and incredible from beginning to end. I feel like I made a new friend here!
Roy Wetherbee: Updated Review:Upgrading my assessment to 3 stars based on several factors (but mainly because they did *eventually* get the job done).Following the passing of my mother in 2012, my father worked with Worcester County Memorials on a monument for her grave (one that would one day include him as well). He was VERY particular about the details, and WCM worked patiently for nearly a year to get it right - no, to get it perfect. Based on that experience alone, he would have gladly given them 5 stars.Fast forward a few years, upon my father's passing, and it was a completely different story for me. Time to add a picture and some engraving: 9-10 months. Granted, it was over a winter (when it's too cold for engraving), and the company that had done my mother's ceramic photo had reportedly gone out of business, but I can't help but blame their lack of organization. On one occasion, when I stopped by in person to get a progress update, I waited nearly 1/2 hour for them to find the file (which, after rifling through multiple piles of paperwork all over the office, was not found). The file was lost (must have eventually been found, but not that day). Subsequent requests for progress updates were always met with "I don't know." They were waiting for their subcontractor (engraver) to "get to it" but could never get an answer as to when. Poor vendor management, and poor communications all around.Paid in full for everything well in advance, and once they have your money you have little to no leverage left, so it's difficult to "take your business elsewhere." If you have a year to spare, WCM is the place, but if your need is critical I would not recommend.Between the two completely different experiences above, I feel I am being generous by averaging them out to 3 stars.Original Review (June 2018)Slow and unresponsive - nothing but excuses - cannot recommend.I wish I could write a positive review, but I just can't. Paid in full for engraving to be added to an existing gravestone in a very nearby cemetery, and have heard nothing but excuses for months and months and months as to why it's still not done. As a company, very slow, unresponsive, disorganized and frustrating to work with. I fear legal action may be required.
John Chapin: It took 4 times longer than promised to get the gravestone placed. I had to constantly call and e-mail to get a response and when I did finally get a response, there was always an excuse. I realize there are occasionally issues, the main problem was the lack of communication and run-around.
james francis: Not a efficient run place calls to them do not get returned. It takes 10 to get one call back. Emails are a little better. Communications with customers and cemetery department very laid backYour definitely not a priority

Athy Memorial Home: what do users think?
Anne Edgington: Tony and his family handled both my parents arrangements. I believe Athy is either 5th or 6th generations in the business. They are extremely sensitive and accommodating. They listened and accurately worked through all our wishes. We were provided a good faith estimate of all costs. I recommend them without reservation.
Mark Carpenter: Our Family has used them for years, always easy to work with and they do a great job.
Samantha Meyers: Wonderful service! I highly recommend this place. Everything is clean and well done. We had a great send off for my loved one!
Sarah Jones: DO NOT GO HERE! Terrible service. The drivers are terrible as well. I saw them FLYING in the hurst- so disrespectful to the dead. Such a rude company, all they care about is money not the customer. This time is so stressful, don't add more stress by going here. They should NOT be in business!
Justin Garon: People are just dying to get in!

Nordgren Memorial Chapel: what do users think?
Samuel Doughty: These women are incredible- my wife and I cannot express enough how much we appreciated their services. We came to them when our son died and they took a lot of time with us to sort through the grieving process while making the necessary arrangements. They also offered to donate his services, which was totally unexpected but immeasurably appreciated. On the day of the funeral the weather was lousy (at the worst time of day it could be) but they came in anyway to make sure we could lay him to rest at the time people could be there and all the services we had arranged could be done. Again- we cannot recommend them enough!
Eric Warren: I had reached out to one of the people that work there named Erica regarding my brother who had terminal cancer. My mother and I just wanted to be prepared and make decisions while we had clear minds. Erica was extremely professional and empathetic. The tone in her voice told me she genuinely cares about us and was considerate of our difficult time. When the time came and my brother passed, Erica was there for us and made us feel like family. Not only did we matter to her, my brother mattered to her, and because of that I will be forever grateful for her and the people behind the scenes.
Susan Bergeron: I do not recommend! They did not tear up a paper that I asked them to concerning to my daughter and ashes. They were given to someone that didn't deserve them. I was told I should have double checked on her work, and that was the main administrator.
Christine Callender: My mom passed away last week and Nordgren Memorial Chapel took care of my mom's funeral for us and they did a wonderful job I was very impress with the details that they had provided I really appreciate the detail work that they had done for my family my mom look so beautiful and seeing my mom like that put my mind at ease and my whole family was very happy with the service that Nordgren Memorial Chapel had provided us Thank you so much and I want you to know we really appreciate your hard work and your professionalism
Nina Riv: I wanted to take a moment to thank Erica, Katherine and staff. Erica you did an amazing job, my dad looked exactly like himself and like he was sleeping. Katherine thank you for your kindness during this difficult time. My family appreciated everything you all had done.
Jorge Cabrera: my father passed away at an early age, Nordgren memorial chapel gave me more then excellent wake. Nordgren family gave me support and happiness they made my father look so amazing like my father was only sleeping. he looked peaceful and calm and Nordgren understood that my father meant the world to me and my mother and brother. Nordgren memorial chapel is excellent most amazing service offered to me and my family, I planned to bring my self and family to Nordgren when our chapter in life ends. I recommend everyone to give your loved ones to Nordgren memorial chapel and let them make your loved one look like they never left this life. thank you Nordgren memorial chapel.Katherine E. Mangsen funeral director is an amazing lady who understands your pain and suffer andErika M. Nordgren Mangsen for putting her amazing hands to work and put her amazing talent on my father to make him look alive for me for one last time. Thank you you deserve10 stars
Alysha Yarbrough: Beautiful establishment, great services, highly recommended.
Daeha Kang: 100% satisfactory. Beautiful service.
Zelly Penn: When my grandmother died my family had no idea where to turn or what to do. The staff was kind from the very first phone call. After my mom called the funeral home to report the passing, she felt less anxious. I went to the arrangements appointment with my mom, and the ladies at Nordgren couldn’t have been more kind to us. They made such a stressful time that much easier. I know it sounds cliche, but they made us feel like family. My grandmother looked so beautiful. I have attended other wakes and looked at other bodies, but I have never seen someone look so natural and at peace. The embalmer is top notch! If you are looking for the most caring people you’ve ever met and a homey atmosphere, this is the funeral home you need to go to.
Shawn Holt: It's always stressful and emotional when a loved one dies and when you have to plan a service it can only add to the stress. The staff here made the process 100% more stress free than I could ever imagine. The whole arrangement was absolutely beautiful. I know it sounds strange to say something in such a sad event but everything from the setup to the care of our loved one, it just seemed so flawless. These people just want us to feel comfortable and loved and it shows in their work.Honestly I've never felt so much care and love from complete strangers. It was like they were family. If you're thinking of planning a service, I'd recommend this place. God bless.
Tim Ruston: The woman who was in charge of my grandmothers wake and funeral today was quite rude and had no empathy. As soon as my family had shown up she was asking people to sign papers and asking about payment before allowing us to see our loved one. With only "one funeral service a day" she seemed to be in quite a rush to push us out the door by verbally announcing we need to move to the cars and the time to talk to each other is at the cemetery or afterwards.Very disappointed about how we were treated by this woman. The fact that this treatment came during a wake/funeral just made it even worse.I suggest avoiding this place if you do not want to feel even more pressured about a funeral.
Ivette Lopez: I had my grandmother in my house in hospice and they told us that we had to start making funeral arrangements. I went to several funeral homes but in this funeral home it was where I felt at peace and at home. When my grandmother died I dealt with Katherine the funeral directorShe was very kind to me and my family. and they did a great job, my grandmother was beautiful. I recommend this funeral home, they are very kind.
