Theresa Flynn: Dr. Diwan, Orthopedic Surgeon is phenomenal, she is professional and she cares about her patients. The security guard greeting you once you step out of the garage and into the building very pleasant and helpful. The staff in the Orthopedic department are very efficient and caring. I feel if you treat people with respect, you will be treated the same way. The wonderful doctors, staff and security have worked through Covid and it is not an easy position to be in. Be friendly and positive, you will be surprised how far it goes!

V J: This rating is simply due what an astronomical mess this building is. Prepare to arrive 30 minutes earlier to just figure out where to park and how to locate the orthopedic section with signs like Floor 2 but Level 3, patients go through level 2 but that’s really an exit To the garage, and then when you reach the correct floor because an RN helped you, good luck finding the correct place to check in. No signs whatsoever, construction in never ending and extremely messy. If you’re a patient on crutches or with joint pain, this will exhilarate you. Waiting to see how the doctor is.

chris creamer: Guess a patient shouldn't ask questions about treatment. Staff gets very temperamental with you then when you get upset they tell you to go somewhere else and hang up. Dr great staff not so much

Tammy Lewis: I was asked to bring my MRI, MRA but by the time i am out of work the Departments closes. I have been transferred three times and disconnected and then when i asked for them to follow the Process of Harrington Hospital Release. I was treated extremely Rude. I also was Rescheduled with a Doctor that i was not expecting to see. When it comes to your brain and an Aneurysm shouldn't the patient be notified of the change? I just do not appreciate the Customer Service and the way i was treated. We are human beings and if we need to see a Specialist it is because there is an important issue. Every individual should be treated with Respect and maybe Dignity. If they dont like there job they should not be doing it!

89sportglide: I went to Dr Sungarian about 15 years ago for a bulging disc issue. I feel the whole experience was great and I have never had any issues since. I have referred friends to him and would gladly do it again.

Chris Johnson: I never got to tell him how grateful I am. In 2010 and he turned me down for surgery which didn't make me happy. In December 2015 I was sent to Memorial and I saw 2-doctors that couldn't agree with each other. I asked my PC if I could see the surgeon who turned me down 5 years ago. It happened to be Dr. Sungarian. I thought of all the things I wanted to tell him, I can't live like this. In a short amount of time my pain went up 5-8 points and doubling my meds were not doing anything. As soon as I walked into his office he showed me my MRI on a big TV and told me I have something to work with now. I want to get you in tomorrow for surgery, you must be in a lot of pain? he wanted me in Memorial the next day but I begged him to do the surgery somewhere else. Thankfully he got me into St Vincent's 2 days before Christmas. On Christmas day I was climbing the 6 stairs outside my door every hour or two and watching TV. I didn't expect to see him but his after surgery team was awesome!!!!

Chris Heinis MD: Dr. Sungarian has taken care of friends and my family members as well as my ER pt's for almost 20 years! He has always been kind and professional. I trust his opinion an he is very respected amongst my Emergency Medicine colleagues.The world of neurosurgery is extremely challenging. The complaints can sometimes put a doctor in a no win situation. Pt's need to realize limitations. Dr Sungarian has always been honest to my patients.While some surgeons would just operate there are times when patience can prevail. What makes a surgeon great is not only their dexterity in the operating arena but also their knowing when to operate. Dr Sungarian did this for my mother in law. I had other MD's telling me to operate. He thought in this case the operation may cause more damage than letting the process heal. I trusted Dr Sungarian and my mother in law made a full recovery.

Timothy Duval: Had my appointment canceled with another Dr, because my problems were getting worse. Wound up getting an appointment with Dr. Sungarian. His PA was great, kind, courteous and knowledgable. The Dr on the other hand was ridiculously arrogant, rude, and insensitive to my continued issues.If you want to be talked down to, ridiculed, and called fat. This is the Dr. for you.I strongly do not recommend this man at all.

Dr. Sungarian did an excellent job on getting my 80yr old mother n Law back on her feet from a very bad fall on top of Osteoporosis and Arthritis in her back she had on going for years.I would highly recommend him to anyone as his results show his expertise.

She should have checked on that before my app.

John Szesnat: I haven't had surgery yet. Waiting on the place and time. He does surgery at both St Vincent and UMass. I was referred to his office by another doctor. So far this is what I can tell you.1. The office visit was very pleasant. Linda was at the front desk she was great.2. They do see a lot of patients ( at least when I was there). However, it moved at a steady pace.Visit with DR. Sungarin1. Very Knowledgeable. I would not say he doesn't have a bed side manner but he is straight to the point. He is not going to baby you. ( Which I prefer)2. I've been to 3 doctors about the same condition. He was spot on with his diagnosis. Actually took him less time to read the MRI than the other doctors by far. More detailed visit. I did not feel rushed but he does not lollygag around.I am still waiting for the office stay to call me back about scheduling surgery. Once i have the surgery i will update you. I have decided to go with Dr Sungarin and not the other doctors. Very professional and takes thing seriously. I feel confident with him.So had the surgery (Feb 6 sorry for the delay life got in the way). I cant believe how great I felt after the surgery. I was up and walking the same day. Like i said he isnt there to baby you but to get a job done. He is Very good at it, At least from what I heard and done with me. I would highly suggest and recommend him.Update. I did a follow up with him and was not pleased. I'm not going to bad mouth anyone. He is a good surgeon.

His demeanor may seem a little dry but he diagnosed my issue and had me in surgery 2 weeks later. He was warm and very encouraging and has improved my life so much with this neck surgery. Chrissy M: Makes you wait 1.5 hrs for less than 4 minute exam. Says he does exams in which he doesn't perform. Treats patients with very little respect. Very rude, doesn't listen patients, and worse of all when ask how to deal with spasms, numbness. His response is deal with it. Again obviously doesn't care enough to give solutions, just passes patients off to others so he doesn't have to deal with them. Would NOT recommend him for ANYTHING other bed pan cleaner. I have seen him action. Not judging his abilities just his mannerisms and professional services(non-surgical). Guess he forgot about helping those who need answers.

This Doctor successfully removed the area of my brain that was causing the Seizures and I’ve been seizure free since then. Her expertise is unparalleled, and I can’t think of any provider that is as lovely, smart, problem solving, helpful, and promotes solutions, thoughtfully. Not quick fixes.I am so impressed by her dedication, in this day of “15 minute” visit schedules. My previous boss, State Senator Dr. Harriette Chandler, was able to change this ridiculous, as she said “McDonald’s drive-thru” and extended the stay in hospitals for new mothers and their babies. I alway wished to get her on board to help change these quick, rushed appointments. They are not patient- oriented and not helpful to doctors that want to provide quality healthcare! Provide doctors with TIME.Though I may be scheduled for 15 minute Botox shots for migraines, any other concern is completely acknowledged by her, and again, thoughtfully processed to eliminate patient problems. She’ll follow through an already crammed schedule to make sure her patients are taken care of fully.I not only highly recommend her. but hope that her overseeing management gives her consideration of management and/or supervision of the department.She’s that good.A fully supportive and long-term patient.
