Reliant Medical Group Obstetrics & Gynecology Department: what do users think?
tianna fontanez: My first pregnancy was great now I’m onto my second pregnancy and there’s have been several mistakes. I went to an appointment and they scheduled me too early so I had to reschedule for a different day. Just something that they should have caught earlier. I have had 2 ultrasounds and neither one I had heard the heart beat. Everything feels rushed this time around. The first time I’ll see the doctor is at 12 weeks! I’ll be out of my first trimester this time. Definitely considering finding a new place.
Megan The Baker: The doctors and nurses are lovely, but the front desk ladies are so condescending! Calling me “hun” “sweetie” “honey” like I’m 12 years old. I try to do everything through MyChart to avoid their rudeness.
brianna Barnes: I have been a patient with reliant medical group since 2019 and been going to the ob/gyn clinic since I became pregnant in April 2022. The receptionists are friendly and the nurses are too. Satisfied with the care team so far so good. They have the knowledge of what goes on during pregnancies and can’t wait to discuss birth plans with a midwife in October!
Kayti Corfield: What a terrible experience. I highly recommend going somewhere else. Here are all the things I had to deal with when working with Reliant during my pregnancy:- Rescheduling appointments: this happened several times throughout my pregnancy due to a variety of reasons. I understand that there is staffing issues and people need to call in sick, but getting phone calls the day before my appointment at 9pm from a blocked number was unacceptable. They also changed the location of my appointment one time and did not tell me except in a MyChart message. The new location was an additional 10 minutes from my home, but because I went to my initial location I was told they wouldn’t be able to accomodate me that day until 2-3 hours later. The communication was just appalling. They would just change the appointment without confirming if the new date and time worked for me. As someone who works a full time job, I try really hard to make sure all of my appointments are scheduled ahead of time to ensure that they work for my schedule. Last minute shifts are not something that most people can accomodate.- Extremely Long Wait Times: several times I had to wait more than 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time to see a provider. I was told that people were running late, providers were double (or even triple booked) and that I just needed to deal with it. I had one appointment that I was supposed to be completed with by 9am, and I was not out of the office until 10am. Again, as someone who is trying to make these appointments work and have a full time job, this is really hard to deal with all the time from a medical provider.- Rude interactions with front desk staff and nurses: When trying to figure out these rescheduled appointments, the office staff took no responsibility for the issues they had caused and I was completely responsible for making these updates to my schedule. I also called in to discuss leave situations for my upcoming postpartum leave, and was immediately spoken to like I needed to calm down and the nurse got very heated with me very quickly. Keeping your cool in a customer interaction especially during a stressful time of life is extremely important, and I genuinely feel that they all could do a better job here.- Lack of communication: I had several times when I would send a message on MyChart where I would not get a response. I was trying to alleviate the burden on phone calls with patients and allow them to answer within their 48 hour window, but I would always need to call to get a reply. One time I even sent them a message about a test result for an Ultrasound that seemed concerning to two different providers, and neither of them replied to me. Even when I tried messaging again with a reminder, I never received a response. If you’re going to have an online system for communication, you should respond to your patients through there as well. Having to keep up with every communication and remember if I got a response or not was extremely frustrating.- Lab Complications: not only did I have a few issues with labs needing to be redone, but I was initially sent to Quest to complete my labs. Quest does not complete Reliant lab work. So, I wasted my time going to a Quest center AND I had to still go back to a Reliant Lab to get it done. I still don’t understand why I was even contacted by Quest for this lab work even after multiple conversations with Reliant. They also send all of their lab work to California to get done, so don’t expect it to arrive when promised. The midwives seem nice enough, but I’m just so confused as to how a group of people that are supposed to care for their patients could put anyone through this.
Karly Snow: Can't keep providers happy there so they're understaffed, can't schedule patients, totally money driven (will only schedule problem visits for greater $$ rather than routine visits). An absolute nightmare for scheduling. Can never get appointments with your preferred provider. Even when pregnant, their schedules are overbooked and routine appointments can't be found. My actual OB was great, but not worth the headache of working with Reliant. Better to look elsewhere.
Marissa Mendes: Worse experience of my life I regret being a patient here.. I was misinformed that I have high blood pressure and told I needed an induction.. I set up child care for my other two children (which is not easy to do last minute) and had to be here at 6:30 AM… I went through several attempts with an IV (great nurses though) but it was painful just to be told by the delivering doctor that my blood pressure isn’t really an issue and I should not be induced!!!!! Mind blowing to say the least, I am so disgusted with the lack of communication and for them putting me through all of this! How did a whole team of “Doctors” set me up like this??? I need answers or I’ll take it further I had very bad headaches for over a week and all they blamed it on was “high blood pressure” I am not vaccinated and they didn’t think to even send me for a covid test until 2 days before my induction date because it standard procedure and low and behold I received a positive test result just one day before my “scheduled induction” somebody needs to make this make sense!!!!!!
Crystal Roberts: I went to an ReadyCare urgent care for an issue I was having and was referred to the Reliant OB/GYN for follow up. My insurance has a lapse due to job changes and won’t be effective for a few days and they refused to even set up the appointment when we spoke until my insurance is active. Meanwhile I’m over here, willing to pay up front for any care just hoping I don’t bleed to death waiting for my insurance to kick in to even set up the appointment. This is deplorable and not remotely patient centered care!
Elvira Janturina: There are nice doctors and have provide interpreter. I like place. Thanks for helping me.
Carmen Michel: This provider does not disappoint with my second pregnancy. If you are looking to waste your time to schedule an appointment this is the right place for you. They let you wait in a long queue and when you finally speak to someone they ask to put you on hold and hang up on you. This happened to me already with my last pregnancy and oh surprise they didn't change a damns thing and are still as unprofessional as ever. Complete waste of time. I guess they don't need the business.
Erika Murphy: Never had an issue. I had my second child here as well as the prenatal care and also now for my third child I am seeing the midwives. Very clean and professional and nice staff.
alicia: Called to get my birth control prescription refilled. They told me I'm due for my annual in the end of december when clearly with holidays and going away, I wouldnt be able to come in. I asked to book in january. They said they didnt have a schedule available for january yet. I was told if I was unable to book my annual, then they would not be able to refill my prescription.. even though my annual isnt due until end of december?? I had to go elsewhere.
Danielle Casey: Three times they have called me a day or two before my appt. was scheduled to cancel. They are only booking out one month in advance since they do not have the staff to book out further. My last appt. they told me they have no openings for the same week, I am 24 weeks. We are looking to change since this keeps happening and I need the reassurance that everything is OK as this is my first and I still have not felt the baby moving. I would not suggest coming here at all. I would suggest somewhere closer to Boston (metrowest) or Wellness Women's if you are looking to see midwives.
ada cortez: I needed a new birth control and my obgyn Vanessa and her assistant danielle were so nice and walk me through the whole process they made sure I understood everything. I've never gotten such a wonderful service from a doctors office. Definitely deserve 5 stars and will recommend it to friends and family.
Sarah Lewis: I moved to Worcester during my pregnancy and had to find all new doctors. I was very stressed about leaving the practice I had been at for 10+ years, however Reliant Medical Group came highly recommended by many of my friends in the area. I saw the midwife team and all of them were phenomenal. They took time to get to know me and were very personable. Vida Mia Ruiz, CNM was on duty for my delivery, and I had a wonderful experience! Even though Vida had 2 other women laboring at the same time as me, she made me feel like her #1 priority. She was very calming and supportive, reacting well to my needs. Every time I have had to call with a concern the nursing staff has taken me seriously and been very prompt in their responses. Less importantly, but still a great perk, is that the reception staff is very friendly. Some of them even recognized me outside the office and said hello :) Overall so happy with my choice and will continue to attend this practice.

Women's Health of Central Massachusetts: what do users think?
Big Girl Energy Angel Marie: I've NEVER in my life given a review of a doctor's office..unfortunately it's THAT bad!I have witnessed the rudeness and unprofessional behavior at the hands of staff for over a year now. My daughter in law moved went here her whole pregnancy and the young ladies working there seem to think their at the DMV!I'm from Boston and had top notch OBGYN care when I was having my kids. I certainly didn't have this expectation of Worcester but my poor daughter in law just broke down after being treated rudely by the staff. If she had of allowed me, I would have intervened MONTHS ago because to be honest this would of been nipped in the bud but these folks are allowed to not be held accountable. In my opinion even her doctor's and nurses were dismissive and callus and I believe a lot of it is because she's a young mother. So many times this should of been addressed instead of just leaving the practice and allowing this behavior to go unchecked but they got the right one and I got time today. This is my 1st stop, not last.As for all these glowing reviews, perhaps some are real experiences but I call B.S. on the rest because I've seen them in action and unless this is a whole new crop of staff those reviews are lying because it appears to the CULTURE of this practice!
RR M: Can’t speak for everyone but my doctor was very rude and almost a racist. She spent more time talking passionately about politics and my race/ethnicity, level of English skills, than asking medical questions and doing physical exams (I was in physical pain)I’m happy for people that received help from this place, but unfortunately I didn’t feel safe at all. I immediately switched to a different doctor after.
Carla Wheeler: Dr Kopin cared for me as the mother of two children who both died before their time. She was an amazing human, and doctor before she was forced into early retirement due to her own medical condition. After she left, I chose Dr Delvin. Another amazing human. These docs have shared the most terrible moments of my life, and been a great support. I moved to Western mass but I still make the trip to Worcester for care.
Hallie Vail: Went in got labs done. I got a call from the office saying they lost my labs and then they said they found them but won’t give me the results. I can’t speak to anyone about the issue because they don’t answer their phone. Bad communication and customer service. Feels like no one cares.
Amy Angell: The entire process went quickly and well. Even the mammogram was done with dispatch and comfort
kirsten nicholas: Dr kraft and staff are the best! Always professional, personable and provide the best care.
michelle bertrand: Nice friendly staff and love my doctor. She spends all the time I need and answers all my questions
Sandy E.: Things went very smoothly. Very kind people.
karen gerardi: Very professional
Christina Hatgis: Dr. Abraham Fischer is excellent. He is honest, professional, and respectful. He is willing to find solutions to enhance your comfort with procedures that can be anxiety-provoking, without compromising your medical care. The office staff are likewise all excellent. Recent thanks, especially, to Amaryllis.
Anna Maria: This place is the best I have ever been too. As a new patient, they found an appointment for me the day of because I was needing immediate attention. The wait was maybe 5 minutes, the place was so clean and the entire staff was so kind. Dr. Fischer was so sweet and kind, very caring and knew how to make me feel comfortable. He did exactly what was needed and I was in and out of there in like 30 minutes. Thank you guys! I will forever be coming back.
Karima Jones: I came in to address an area of concern and Dr Kraft and her team were fantastic! I'm glad I've found this place.
Marie M: If your are any other race or nationality than white American don't come here. They're racist assume your ignorant and take advantage of your body. I had a C-section when I didn't need one. When I wanted to change hospitals I was told I was a EVIL mother if I just let my child die. All to be told by a doctor the next day that I was completely fine. Look at the side effects of induction and C-section I have everything. I was peer pressured and made extremely uncomfortable with every single appointment. I genuinely hope that the two doctors that worked on me burn in hell for taking advantage of my child birth for a raise on their paycheck. They try to hide my review every time because they don't want anyone knowing the truth. The only good thing here are the people at the front. I have PTSD and am traumatized of hospitals and literally any form of health care. I can't even go to the dentist without having a panic attack. I'm not exaggerating I've never felt so angry torwards a human being before in my life. I've never wished I'll upon someone this is the first time genuinely hope that those two male doctors there get seriously injured and than mistreated and then feel karma. I can't file a lawsuit because I legally signed papers but who wouldn't when they're forced to a hospital FORCED to get induced FORCED to get a C-section I was FORCED by that doctor thru everything. Nothing was my decision they threate me with so many things just so I can deliver my child in a specific day that HE was there why? The doctors get paid when they deliver your baby. So remember why your doctor is randomly inducing you on the specific day they're working the hospital. I'm a young black woman they saw me as easy money. Gross disgusting just so gross.
A A: I’ve had 5 appointments canceled with 0 notice. My doctor told me I had high blood pressure at risk of preeclampsia, told me how important it was that I come in for a follow up and then canceled my next two appointments after that (which I found out when I showed up after arranging childcare and clearing my schedule). I once got a phone call from a very rude lady asking if I wanted a termination…. What??? Very traumatic as my husband and I tried for SO LONG to get pregnant. This place only cares about the money your insurance brings them. They do not care about you or your baby whatsoever. I am looking for a new OB and for my next pregnancy, I will stay far far away from this place.
Kimberly Angers: I have had two pregnancies here in 2018-2019 and again 2020-2021. The Doctors are great and I have no issue with seeing a different doctor if mine doesn't have any openings. However over the last two years there has just been something off. I know COVID has taken its toll on the medical field however it seems like they don't really value a patients time or needs. It's a big disappointment that I can't bring my two children with me to my appointments when I don't have childcare. I feel like a HUGE inconvenience to reception if I need to change an appointment, even with plenty of notice. On top of it all, I have waited at least 30 minutes to be called into the room and another at least 15 on top of that for the doctor to come in and see me for my last 5-10 appointments. No one ever apologies or acknowledges that they asked me to come in 15 minutes prior and still have me waiting for an unacceptable amount of time. For someone that works full time and has two children, its hard to reserve 2-3 hours in the middle of the day. Unfortunately, I think that's just what I need to expect from now on.
Leticia Duarte: Great doctors! Had a great experience
Marian McGovern: I was taken in so quick and the Dr even arranged for me to have a mamogram right after my initial exam. I was in and out for exam and man in less than an hour. Now that’s service.
Mariah McCarthy: Dr. Farricy has the lightest touch out there! Multiple Pap smears with him and no pain ever, this is a man who makes you feel comfortable and does his job well
Mikahla Dawson: When you come here, you are a number in a system, nothing more. This practice does not care about patients at all. More than half of my appointments have been rescheduled by them, including important ultrasounds.I have had appointments rescheduled on me with the priority on them fitting the maximum number of patients into the office. They don't care if I see my primary doctor, if my baby is given the anatomical exam on time, or if my possible post-biopsy infection is examined in a timely manner. When you ask questions in the portal, they direct you to talk to your "primary" doctor at the next appointment, but chances are you won't be seeing your primary. Most recently, my anatomical ultrasound appt. was rescheduled three times, pushing it out the the 21st week. Then they forgot to weight the baby. I won't have a weight for my baby until week 25—or later—they also had to reschedule that appointment due to short staffing.Doctors have radically conflicting opinions, too. One doctor told me I was obese according to BMI, and should strongly consider taking daily aspirin (even though it poses a risk to my baby) to prevent preeclampsia, which I was at risk for solely because of the BMI (and the fact that this is my first pregnancy). Another doctor told me that this wasn't necessary and that using the term obese was incorrect to be applied in my case, and this doctors nurse pointed out my good vitals elsewhere as an indicator that I should not take aspirin. If your pregnancy is a dime-a-dozen to you, and you don't care if you go somewhere where you see a different doctor every time, staff prioritizes taking the maximum number of patients, and nobody knows your name, go ahead and book with this practice. If that doesn't sound good to you, then please go anywhere else, and save yourself the trouble of finding a new practice mid-pregnacy.Update:They were going to stop scheduling ultrasounds after the 25 week follow-up they did to get the baby's weight. I was ver batum told no further ultrasounds were needed. My new practice was appalled by this, and I have had two scheduled since then (I'm 32 weeks as I write this). Switching showed me how little time you get to spend with the doctor at this practice. At WHCM, on average you see the Dr. For 2 minutes. At my new practice, it's 15-20. Plus, there are only three female doctors to choose from at my new practice, meaning you build better patient/doctor relationships, which is proven to reduce your risk of complications at delivery. I also found out half of my medical records from nurses intake were input incorrectly, causing me to miss blood tests I needed. Seriously don't come here, they are spread too thin.
Paula Novia: I have always had great care in this practice . I have been with them for over40 years .Dr Kern is the best.
Martha Anastacio: Dr Fischer is the best! He always take the time to talk with me and catch up.
