Alana Halstead: I went in for a work respiratory clearance test and the medical assistant who performed it had no idea what he was doing. He kept telling me I wasn’t breathing hard enough and that I was failing the test. After about 20 minutes(of a test that’s supposed to take less than 5 to my knowledge) and many minutes of him lecturing me on how to breath, he told me I failed but could try again after seeing the doctor. The doctor came in a few minutes later, and when I asked if I had passed the clearance test she looked at me like I was crazy and said of course I had(my numbers apparently far exceeded the needed result). In the end (and after 40 minutes in the waiting area) I did leave with everything completed, but to say the least it was a very unpleasant experience to be told I was gonna loose my job because I am medically unfit to wear a mask by someone who obviously has no idea what they were doing.

Eric Ward: Dr. Driscoll was a great doctor. Zero complaints about him. Unfortunately he retired around Halloween of 2020.Why this is a 2 star review is that this office is otherwise terrible. You get sent to a voicemail most of the time when you try to call them, and never hear back. (This was happening even well before the coronavirus outbreak)Last month, after Dr. Driscoll retired I needed my medical records to get a physical done at an urgent care because my grad school requested them so I can sign up for classes in 2021. Same nonsense, no answer from anyone. I was completely left out in the cold.Thank God there was someone named Robin at the UMASS Hahnemann location who was able to help me get what I needed via email on such short notice. Otherwise, I may not have been able to sign up for the one class I needed to get my Master's Degree.I really hope nobody else has had to deal with this type of nonsense from the office staff on West Boylston Street, because I wouldn't wish this upon even my worst enemy. What if I had a more crucial medical emergency?I will NEVER again set foot in this UMASS Medical Doctor's office as a patient on West Boylston Street, and I suggest if you want to avoid the run-arounds, avoid getting your PCP at this office.I was thinking about leaving Dr. Driscoll only because of how incompetent his office is with patient customer service a couple years ago, but him retiring recently gave me a good reason to finally leave and not put up with this nonsense. I'm willing to drive a little longer to get the real attention that I need.
