Brady Built Sunrooms: what do users think?
Corey Lewis: Today driver's of two company vehicles in CT on Rt 84 were not only holding up about 1/4 mile of traffic in the passing lane, the driver of the van has some road rage issues. Anyone trying to get around him, clearly going much too slowly for the flow of traffic, he would try and chase down, ride their bumper or not let them pass. Not sure about the quality of the company and what they build but your would think with a company logo all over the vehicles, they might drive better. Perhaps they are better at building sunrooms than driving. Would never hire them based on what I saw them do to a woman with kids in her car!!!
John Kitchenaid: We just stopped by the factory today to look at our sunroom, which is under construction. We couldn’t be happier! It looks great! Linda has been a joy to work with, stepping us through the entire process. They recommended a GC for the finish work who coincidentally built our neighbors house and did the finish work for another Brady Built Sunroom. Both neighbors were just delighted with the GC and his crew, so we are looking forward to working with him as well. We hope to have our sunroom completed in a couple of months and we can hardly wait. This has been a wonderful experience, we are just so grateful to Linda for making it so.
Vittoria Peterson: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWe love our Brady room. It is perfect year-round, and we get compliments on it whenever we show a photo or host guests.
Marco Gabrielli: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueAmazing sunroom and overall experience. Highly recommend
Margaret Kirker: My sunroom was installed today and it is even more beautiful now than when I went for the final inspection! I chose all glass and the views of my back yard and the sky is amazing! The wood finish is just perfect. The beams have a beauty all of their own. It is more than my happy place, it is going to add so much light and function to my kitchen. Jeff was an amazing sales person, no pressure, just walk through the factory and pick out your favorite parts. The teams, going through the process, were all so helpful and Kathi was my angel! Thank you all Margaret
Norman Braverman: We sat down with Jeff and with his help designed a fabulous sunroom together.Delivery and installation went smoothe. We love our new room. We moved the kitchen table and now enjoy all our meals there. We are fortunate enough to live in a nice neighborhood and have a backyard with sone trees to enjoy. If you're having second thoughts, don't, you'll never regret it.
Michael Smith: Deceptive sales with a bait and switch: After seeing their rooms online we went to tour their factory and get a preliminary quote on a design. The initial quote seemed great, and we paid a deposit to get the ball rolling. What wasn't mentioned was that Brady's work is really only about half the battle cost wise. Months after approving our design and signing our contract we got a quote from the onsite GC for what it would take to finish the project. That and all the subs (plumbing, HVAC and electric) almost doubled Brady's original quote. To be clear, since they aren't, Brady's quote covers the unfinished empty shell of the room with rough wiring, sub-floors, no siding and no dry wall. Everything else is extra.Permit Purgatory: During the sales process we were told permits shouldn't be a problem because we were replacing an existing covered deck. We told them that the deck was built by the previous owner. Shocker it wasn't permitted. From the sounds of it the town gave them a hard time. But my biggest complaint was that during this process there was no sense of urgency or proactive communications from their "project management" team. Even when I complained and we were told there would be weekly update emails, that didn't happen. Updates seemed to only come at our prompting.Flawed Design: Much of this is also part of their bait and switch sales process. So many of the promised design features didn't come to pass or proved to be unrealistic. First, base board heating. From the beginning that was our main plan to heat the space and Brady said they were designing for. I was told multiple times about how their factory floor could be easily pulled up to run plumbing, that wasn't the problem though. When our plumber got on site and saw the room, Brady hadn't left space under the windows for base board heaters to be installed. The walls are short, and then the electrical outlets were mounted where the heat should have gone. Second, ceiling fans were always part of the design and Brady told us repeatedly this wouldn't be a problem and ran electrical through two of the ceiling beams with drilled out holes for fans. But after you put the mounting block in, we couldn't find a single flush mounted fan that would leave enough clearance to meet code. When we tried to do just lights where the holes were, turned out the wiring in one of the beams was faulty. Brady ended up coming back to remove the wiring and "patch" the holes after we were fed up with the process. The patches themselves are as camouflaged as possible, but not unnoticeable and now our switch plates all have one blank slot because by the time this was fixed the electrical was pretty much done. Their wiring issue delayed our finish inspection by several days aside from the ongoing headache I experienced trying to find ceiling fans that would fit. Third, we were told integrating the room to our home's central air would be easy and cheaper than a mini-split. When our HVAC company came out to quote the work they told us that was a huge mistake. That our system was designed for our existing square footage, and that adding not just the additional square footage on, but one that could get so warm due to all the windows, would require replacing the entire system. So, after dry wall and everything else was done (including installing a heater in the wall because of the botched base board heat design) we ended up putting in a mini-split to cool and heat the room.Electric: the designer/sales guy looked at our existing panel and said there was plenty of capacity. False, we needed a subpanel installed.Problem resolution: In the end they sent us an apology from their CEO and a check for $1,500. Given how much this room cost that was slightly better than a slap in the face. I tried to let it go and wasn't going to write this review originally, however, we're still having problems months later. In the rain, the room leaks. They've been out to do some extra caulking, but today we got rain and it's leaking in the same spot. The room looks great but Brady was horrible to work with.
Todd Lefebvre: Outstanding quality...nice people @ showroom
Karen B Lachance: We ordered a Brady Built Sunroom just before the closing down of everything. As a result our build was delayed which was frustrating although really out of anyone's controll. The product that was delivered and then finished onsite is well worth the wait. The contractor Brady matched us with is excellant and the quality of work both inside and outside is impeccable. While technically the room added a 14x14 space to our house it feels like so much more. We spend hours in this room reading, watching birds, working from home, eating meals when family visits. Even when we sit in our living room we can look into the room and then to the expansive view at the out doors. And, a Brady Built Sunroom is an investment - it added to the value of our home.
Parham Mobed: Positive:Quality,ValueBeautiful sunrooms and nice people.
Nick Meyer: Critical:Professionalism,Punctuality,Responsiveness
David Bluestein: We have owned a Brady room for over Twenty years and could not be happier with it.We recently purchased a new spa,but needed some construction work to disassemble part of the room to get the old spa out and the new spa in.I spoke with Kathy at Brady and she set up the project for us so we could coordinate with both the spa people and Brady. They came to our property ,took down one side of the room and waited while the old spa was removed and the new spa was put in place.I can't say enough about the professionalism of the Brady construction team. They did a fantastic job! Fast ,efficient and clean.I would HIGHLY recommend them not only for their rooms but also their construction!Great job Brady Rooms!
Nick Betti: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,Valueexcellent products and services!
Paul Heenehan: I had a window replaced in my beautiful Brady Built room. Working with Kathi Shepard online and on the phone was professional and informative. The installers were very efficient and also professional. Considering the popularity and demand for these rooms, the timing of requesting the work, ordering the window, and delivery and installation was timely.
Eileen Casella Rider: We met Nate at the Home Show in Providence and then went on the tour of facility to see how the sunrooms are made. We immediately put a deposit down and purchased our sun room. The whole process from soup to nuts was very smooth. We got the sun room installed and it's absolutely beautiful. Every step of the way Nate and the staff were communicative and clear about expectations. I would highly recommend Brady Built Sunrooms!
Karen: Wonderful service
Sharon Dumdie: Terrible customer service. I have been trying to get them to send me new windows for a year. No one EVER follows through. You can not get a live person on the other end to save your life. The windows no longer open or close. Rain runs in like crazy rotting the other wood. I AM SO SORRY I EVER BOUGHT THIS ROTTING PIECE OF JUNK. The lesson learned, ALWAYS buy local. Brady states they do not do business in Illinois. Then how did their sun room get here? We purchased it from Kevin Keiler.
Marc Bernard Schauber: First class operation. High quality rooms if any size. Mine was small, just a 3x8 bump out in the master bathroom... But it really makes the room.
JF Mulligan: We are just finishing up our room. We are very pleased with the product and the assistance we have received from the Office staff. Our contractor works well with the product and handled the job with ease. Now if it would just stop raining and the sun came out it would be perfect.
James Hallahan: Love the sun room we have been enjoying it for 12 years delivery was on time and professional. We use this room 3 of the 4 New England seasons. Everyone who comes to our home falls in love with this room.
Karyn Philblade: If you're looking for a three or four season sunroom, look no further than Brady Built Sunrooms! Kevin and his staff are very knowledgeable and will help you through every part of the process. Materials are all top quality. I purchased a four-season sunroom from Brady last year and have never been happier!!!
