Patrick R: Everyone in my area (Midwest) kept referring me to Blackstone Valley for restoration of my organ manuals, and I now see why! The manuals were originally heavily-used, gouged, and dull Rosewood & Maple construction.Mike restored and profiled the keytops, completely replacing where necessary, and the manuals are now silky smooth, clean, glossy, and brand new in appearance. The work took a little longer than originally expected, but Mike’s attention to detail is well worth the wait!
Jamie Powers: Does not offer Piano Tuning. . .description is in error. The guy that answered the phone was nice enough to refer me to someone else. Just wanted to save anyone else the call.
Mark Felder: My Steinway technician said Mike Morvan does the best key work in New England, so I brought him my S&S "M" keys. To my dismay I discovered Mike is not the best businessman. What was supposed to take 3 weeks to do, was put back several times, and actually took 3 months! That being said, his work is impeccable, he put on new mineral plastic tops, reshaped the sharps and added new bushings. My keyboard looks brand new - maybe better... all in all I would recommend his work highly (just not his promptness).

Jen Dervan: Ian did a wonderful job figuring out how to get the true voice from my 1970’s Steinway upright. After 4 years of regular tunings (not Ian’s work) — I finally am loving playing it!! Mu piano was extremely temperamental before, and the sound was harsh. He voiced it and it sounds soft and new. Very highly recommend Ian and his careful work.
Priscilla Swain: Ian is amazing! I am hyper focused on the way my piano sounds and feels and Ian has been artist and a magician when it comes to caring for my aging piano. He has a fine tuned ear and his understanding of how to blend age with technology leaves nothing to be desired!
jian wang: It's been a great relief after Ian helped us fix our piano right before Thanksgiving last year. Our piano fixing was not an easy task because we tried to take it apart to move it upstairs. Moving has messed up our piano. And some parts had been damaged after trying to put our piano together again on our own. We felt helpless, especially since there had been no response from the other two piano service companies after sending them the photos of the damaged piano parts and asking for help. We thought they probably wouldn't be able to do that kind of service. Then we found Dalton Piano Service online. With quick response from Ian Dalton and the communication about our piano situation, we felt a big relief already. Ian did four times service, step by step, plus he helped us find the new hammers online. Now, our piano has brought the music back for our family. We are so grateful for Ian's help! He has great patience and is a very understanding person. We're very happy to find Dalton Piano Service, to know Ian, and to have him as professional support for our piano service in the long run.

yanran H: Not satisfied with the quality and professionalism. We agreed that the tuning is $175. repair is $80, but it finally charged me $400 because of the long hours has spent. Ian Dalton complains my home was too hot and not a good place to work. Then he took my piano parts and brought them back to me the next day. I think that was the reason why he charged me $400 without agreed upon. The tuning did not go well; the keys were still not tuned in good shape. I don't recommend this business and this person.
