Ski Ward Ski Area: what do users think?
Rachel Harrison: Great local ski spot. Prices are pretty good; especially when skiing for a couple of hours
Electronic Battlefield: Lovely hidden jem! Been going here since I was a kid and now taking my daughter who loves to ski there.
Carina DeMoura: Friendly and helpful staff. Kept lines moving quickly. Tons of fun
Thomas Conroy (TC3): Fun for tubing and learning how to ski
Kris Morandi: Great people
Shams Kerry: This review and rating are for their snow tubing business. I bought tickets online. However, we could start our session only half an hour late because their kiosk printer had run out of paper. There were no staff to help and we had to wait in the regular ticket line. We paid for two hours and was only able to use for 90 minutes. When we brought this up with the person managing the snow tubing slope, he was rude. The place could be better managed.
Logan Callahan: Hi how r u
T. Szway: Waste of time & money for tubing. The wait was 30 min with 18 people in front of us for each run. They sold to many tickets for the limited lanes they had available. We were able to do more than double the runs at a different place the day before and the day after so their excuse that it was a holiday weekend does not hold up.
Poorani Arumugam: We booked private lesson and the instructor was so bad. My kids team never made progress. It all depends upon the instructor you get. If u r really lucky u may get the good one. This place sucks and such a waste of money. All they care about is Money. In 90 mins session she skied only 3 times. The worst place ever we have been. We booked for a week. They had my daughter’s name for 2 days and from third day they missed her name n never had her in any group. When we asked about it they jst said it’s miss communication n put her back with day1 kids. When we asked her progress , the instructor was so rude. She said “ IF YOU WANT UR KID TO PROGRESS BETTER U COME UP THE HILL AND TEACH”It’s such an disrespectful and disappointing place to be.The moment we put her in different place she was doing great.
Thomas Bush: Had a Blast
Jon Weaver: We had an awful experience with an instructor at ski ward during a private lesson. The manager promised to call us to make things right. It’s been several weeks and he never called. We followed up with an email and they never responded. Wasting the money on the private lesson sucks, but we’re shocked they just ghosted us after how bad it was. We’ll never go back and wanted to warn others. Good luck.
Michael A: My son and I had a blast tubing at Ski Ward! The staff was very helpful, and the waiting times were a piece of cake, even for a weekend. Will be coming back for more family fun!
cristiano jota: Maravilhosa experiência
Prasad Sapre: Snow tubing was super fun. My 6 yr old daughter had a blast. Warm and welcoming staff. The self check-in kiosk was out of order but the lady at the counter was gracious to help. Restrooms cleaning could be better though.
Dr. Beer: Was pretty good place to go
oscar augusto: ski wards make they own snow, they are for if that's no snow on the ground they can cancel lesson, this season they canceled 2 days, i'm not able to make up the lessons the day they chose, I called and spoke to the manager Connor, he said " you signed a form that states if you can't make up the lessons the day we chose you will lose your money. i'm not impressed.
Bob Wakelin: Took my twin 7 year old boys to Ward Hill tonight. Got them on skis for the second time. Schlepped up the bunny hill a couple of times then hit the carpet. Both did two runs, I was holding them in snow plow (pizza) position and they made it. “It all begins here” was the sign of the day. Dad has them set up with lessons next week. I hope to train my future ski buddies! What a great place Ward is. High School ski teams to toddlers learning. Dads having a beer while watching kids ski. Snow tubing as well. Snow was good and snow guns pumping it out. Will be back!
Brenda Pagan: We went snow tubing. It was ok. The process could be better. The way they have you get on and off the tube is cumbersome and the lanes don't feel safe. We went to Gunstock Mountain in NH a few days later and had a far better experience there. It's worth the extra $.
S K: Perfect for young children and beginners who are just learning how to ski. Conveniently located and responsible prices. Best price for the money is a seasonal pass deal...
imn test: Messy too crowded
Robert Reposa: Fast lifts allow for more runs! Easy trails to learn on. Fun for kids! Lots of ski instructors ready to teach you how to ski.

Wachusett Mountain: what do users think?
Alex: It beat our expectations.Great experience. We had just one session from 11.30-3.30, but that was enough. We simply didn't waste time on breaks for lunch and used the 4 hours to max. We actually got cider and donuts from the Bullock Lodge, and that was good too.I expected bigger crowds considering the mountain location. But it looked like the majority of the people were hanging in the main lodge (which is great too), so the line on the Polar experts lift to the top was never longer than 5-7 min.I noticed that the Minuteman lift was much more busier though.
Steve Davidson: I love Wachusett ... Quad chairs and well run- never really have to wait! Apple cider cabin on the mountainside. This place is truly magical!
Robert Schmidt: Love everything except the overcrowded lodge when the school programs are happening. But it is only a little more that an hour away from home rather that big $$$$ driving north to VT, NH, or ME and renting a place to stay.
Thomaz: Awesome ski area!!!
Michael Cole: Excellent place to ski and so close by.
Sam B: I am a new skier. This is my favorite mountain so far I've been to. It's great to learn/practice. I actually feel comfortable and relaxed here. My daughter loves it as well. There is a little cabin halfway down the mountain that has snacks, apple dumpling and donuts, drinks and a few wood stoves. At the bottom there is the waffles. And a restaurant in the lodge. There's a bunch of bathrooms and cubby's inside that you can put a bootbag or whatever in. There also lockers you can rent.
Suzanne W: Amazing place to have a great day of skiing! The lodge is fantastic, as are the lifts and runs on the mountain. Great transportation from the far parking lot C ., and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended for a great time.
Joe Scalise: Ugh. Way too crowded and the line management sucks. Routinely have to wait 30-40 minutes in line for a run. It's a small mountain with big mountain prices.
Odie Audet: This is my home away from home during winter. Great snowmaking and grooming.
Rebecca Bleeker: Did my best skiing at Wachusett. This mt. Has one of the highest snow base and the closest to RI.
Garry Sager: Best local ski area in New England
Tommy Evening: great snow. The skiing coach was perfect with our 7years old. we loved it
Philomena Yang: The lift staff are dysfunction. You only have two lifts , Polar and Minuteman, for majority of skier; both were poorly run and dangerous. Mar 15 (Wed) was at full capacity because there was new snow, although I think it was not the most crowd you'll see here; yet the problems showed up. 1. No attention on lift loading. Did not stop the lift when danger event happen, even when people fell. 2. No one watch and guide the skiers when approaching the loading line. Remember you have high percentage of risky groups here, for example newbies, teen lovers and low age group. Going to other's position or cutting other's line, frequently happen. One suggestion is marking the mesh surface with clear red channel for people to follow. 3. The surface from the RFID pass gate to the loading red line are all poorly serviced. Other ski resort always have someone keep an eye on the surface, and shovel when necessary, even with the crowd passing through; but at these lifts, the gate became upslopes and ditches; and there are ice, uneven lines everywhere. The worst is the red loading line, which is about one foot wide; I think it shall be clear of ice/snow, since you have hard mesh there; skier need to be able to stand still there and pay attention to the chair. but you had icy snow left over there. And I noticed the space among skier shoulder to shoulder at your loading line seems to be tightest among resorts. 4. The staffs before the RFID pass gate, who sequence the skiers into group of four, are the ones real add value. They shall always clearly tell each skier the gate # assigned; I only observed one staff had this good practice. if not, some skier tend to take the gate only benefit him/her, and get others in trouble; you likely know which kind of skiers tend to make this kind of bad move, please pay more attention to them, and make sure they clear hear the #. This position maybe the most demanding in the lift line staff, I think you can consider rolling the employee. The positive among lifts: the Vickery is an old lift requires manpower pull-slowing the chair when loading, the young lady on 4pm shift, pulled-slow it good. And the gentleman at unloading side sat on the snow so that the skier can hear clearly his reminder 'clear the chair fast, because this is a fast move chair'.Speaking of this, I have been to small resorts that only had manpower pull-slowing chair lift; The staff work hard, all through a day; and of course I've been to many resorts with gondola. I want to say that I have never seen such dysfunction lift staff.Considering your convenient location, and some investment on the equipment, I was thinking switching season pass to here; but your lift is more dangerous than your black run; remember people crammed up here in your busy day. If I recall correctly, SnowMountain has similar RFID gate, larger crowd, but I can't recall any of these problems. Maybe you can learn from them. And BTW that heated lift chair is a bonus.
Cindy Bombardier: Conditions were amazing and skied non stop today! I enjoyed the mountain immensely!
Code Monkey: A great ski area for beginners, the price of food is more reasonable than other ski areas. Great classes. Close to Boston. The only downside is that it can be very crowded.
Stephen Black: Thank you to the ski patrol who made a prompt response to my injury on the slopes on St Patrick's Day. You were prompt, kind and efficient! Thank you for helping me get back out and enjoy the slopes for the rest of the day!
Keith Baker: Great day of skiing. Well groomed even late in the season.
Francisco Ramirez: Awesome place to go snowboarding
Lizz Mastera: Great place for the whole family!
Christopher Beattie: Website actually makes it hard to purchase their tickets, non-friendly environment on site, and session 2 tkts magically disappear, only mountain i know that offers(and charges) for 4 distinct sessions in a single day but then makes you buy 2 of them if you’re not up for the 7:30 am slot. Unfriendly experience from start to finish.
Tyler Benoit: It’s been years since I’ve gone skiing and I decided to try again and see how it goes. I have to say the conditions and operations on this mountain have to be the best I’ve seen. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. From the ticket windows, to the rental shop, the lifts, ski patrol, and cafeteria everyone was so friendly and helpful. The lines at the lifts were a little longer than I expected for a Monday morning but the staff helped moved the line as quickly as possible and safely too! Mother Nature put out a nice coat of fresh snow the weekend before I went and it just made the skiing conditions superb. And even if that wasn’t the case their snowmaking team has been hard at work all season long creating a great experience for all. Only issue I came across was the Vickory Bowl Triple was closed but their snow report said it was open. Other than that it was a perfect day at the mountain! I will definitely be back soon.
