Aprelle LeBlanc: I requested a modification months ago. I received a call telling me I’d receive paperwork in the mail for hearing date over a month ago. I have been trying to contact them to tell them I never receive anything in the mail. You try and call your attorney through this place and she, nor anybody else from this division, ever calls you back. Their mailboxes are even dated, they tell you they are out of the office on dates that were months ago. Very unprofessional! The attorney I’m working with picked up her phone once and cut me off before I could even speak saying “oh what’s your name and social security, I’ll call you right back because I’m on the other line with my mom.” Really?
David: Staff is incompetent. There have been no modifications to my support order yet this department seems to constantly send vouchers to my employer for the INCORRECT amount. Information I have changed through their website as well as in person with a worker does not reflect in my file and defaults back to old incorrect information. They bill the entire support order at the beginning of the month and then my biweekly automatic withholding pays it off. Every year at tax return season, they bill for the entire month and then withhold my taxes and STILL withhold extra money from me for that month. They constantly seem to fall behind somehow with my AUTOMATIC payments. Numerous complaints go unaddressed and I'm told "that's just the way it is." I love and support my children in all ways I can, but I cannot WAIT until I don't have to deal with these incompetent people. I would be better off paying the support direct. Staff is unresponsive to online inquiries. Horrible service.

Joe Caputo: My wife and I went here two weeks ago. There was a lady there from India, nice lady can't remember her name. She told us we had to pay 3500 because there wasn't enough taxes taken out of our pay. I got mad and left . Went through a different company. We went from having to pay. To getting a nice check back. Credits were not offered to us at h and r. We got Credits for having a 401k and a few others. Don't go to this company they have no idea when it comes to tax credits that should be offered for each situation.

The receptionist at the front desk is so pleasant and as soon as we walked through the door she greeted us with a warm smile.The staff are very professional and knowledgeable! But they are ALL so personable. Even though it takes an hour to have your taxes done, it does not feel like it because you would get lost in good conversation!I would definitely recommend Liberty to friends and family.

Mike Brimmer: My original rating was a 4 star last year. This year you get 2 stars (mainly because you did so good the year before). How does someone make an appointment with a customer and then have nobody there for the appointment? I showed up 10 mins before the appointment and the doors were locked and the lights were off. I called at the appointment time and was told “she is on the way.” I waited another 10-15 minutes and nobody showed up.

Jeremy DiTullio: I spent 500$ to have the taxes done incorrectly. The so called expert results had $8800 in taxes due. Even a simple review of my income would show this wasn't possible. It required my time and effort to correct their mistakes. End result was approximately $100 in taxes due. This is unacceptable but they still charged me 500$.

Lynne LaMotte: My 2020 tax preparer did not need to file a Federal return as it was not necessary. The State return was required and had not been sent 5 days after completed, however she filed the Federal return. On the day I picked up my returns after having dropped them off with a curbside pickup, I questioned why the fee included both the Federal and State. She could not give me a definitive answer but assured me that it would be corrected. I gave her my credit card only to find that the office credit card device was not working and I was asked for a check. I hesitated to give full amount but was assured that I would get a reimbursement for the wrongful filing of the Federal return and would only be charged for the State return It is now 4 days later and the lead office person and manager could not respond to when the State return was filed nor when exactly I would get reimbursed for the overcharge. HR Block's system should not have a glitch for this error to occur. The management at the local office is incompetent and the responses were unsatisfactory as well as their inability for satisfactory resolution. Very bad experience and costly. My State refund will be quite delayed due to their incompetence and failure to right a wrong effectively and efficiently.
Kevin Mahoney: I know it is the COVID era, so no need to explain.. I had an appointment to come in and do my taxes... not to drop off paperwork but to meet with my tax preparer. I have multiple deductions that require communication.. When I arrived I was told the tax preparer "wasn't doing in person appointments today". So why make an appointment? I was free to drop off my stuff and I would be called when done.. I took time out of work for this appointment.. Seriously? It very much sounded like the tax preparer didn't want in person... That is , what it is. Let customers know ahead of time so they can make informed decisions about using your services. Could set up a ZOOM or something... Turbo tax here I come... I miss the Ted S....

Rick Molinia: My first and only bad experience. I Have used H&R block every year since 2003. The woman answering the phone & working the front desk has been rude and unpleasant. She is inept at communication. Paul has taken four weeks to let me know he still is not sure how to proceed and needs to speak with his manager. Attempting to call the location often gets a pre-recorded "they cannot answer at this time" then I walked in & it was empty and the greeter was free. I am very upset and I asked to speak to the manager who is not here today. I will no longer use H&R block.
