Alam Rizvi: We have had hard water issues for years and finally took care of it. Joe replied to my inquiry same day, answered a bunch of questions I had via email. Set an appointment, came out went over everything that they do and the options available. We bought the softener system and the whole house filter as well. After the process was completed, our water had a fishy taste and smell. Joe walked me through all different things to check and was very responsive and assisting to fix the problem. It turned out I had an existing issue after I had a well company come and look at my pump and cap. Although it had nothing to do with their system, Joe took the time to make sure everything was taken care of. Water tastes normal again , and no more hard water stains and blocked pipes! nicole taylor: Less than 24 hours after installation I notice a HUGE difference in my water. I am beyond pleased with Joe and the services provided. Joe suggested this system and he certainly didn't steer me wrong. I immediately notice a difference with the feel of my water. I expected the softener to make the water feel somewhat slippery. It isn't and is has the most perfect "feeling" water if that's even a thing. I noticed my hair feeling dry, hard to blow dry, the brush got stuck, nothing kept a curl, and it had a weird waxy feeling. First wash and it is an instantaneous change! It's like Joe pulled did voodoo magic in my basement to make this happen! In addition, his kindness during such a difficult personal time in my life right now helped so much by making just this one little thing a big win I don't regret one bit. Johnny Rice: Despicable. Disreputable. Shoddy. Those are a few of the many similar words that come to mind when anyone asks me about how it went with Culligan. More disappointing of an experience with a business than I ever imagined possible. More than 6 months of far worse issues after they installed. Had to learn far more names of Culligan employees, plumbing and the legal system for what another company eventually solved within two weeks time with two visits. Lost 6 plus months and thousands of dollars because I fell for what feels like a scam system. Tough lessons learned for me. Better luck to you the reader.
Jon Gaudette: I haven't had such a horrible experience with a company, than I did with Culligan of Auburn. Missed appointments, fake credits when things go wrong, technicians who are overworked and are just trying to get to the next job, and complete lack of communication or even caring. The system is also proprietary, so you can't find filters unless you sign up for their service plans, which took over 3 months of constant calling and haggling with to try to get cancelled.Go with a local plumber for your installation, stay away from Culligan. You'll pay less, and can get the filters and salt you need at your local home improvement store delivered. Save yourself from the stress that I had to deal with!
Evan Smith: I worked with the Auburn office and would not reccommend going with Culligans after this experience. Everything starting with the initial appointment to schedule the installation has been a nightmare. Poor communication and several missed or forgotten appointments. I would absolutely stay away from this company.
Mariah Dolan: This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They missed all but 1 appointment and can’t seem to keep track of a basic calendar. I tried many times to get in touch with them to purchase the equipment I was renting and they did not follow through. I then decided wanted to have the system removed due to their horrible customer service and inability to keep appointments. At that point the sales rep became quite unprofessional and management was no help. Since the equipment was removed, I have had to call several times over billing issues and they rarely actually return phone calls. I terminated my contract with them 3 months ago and they are still trying to charge me for equipment I DON’T EVEN HAVE. I switched to a different company with a similar system for the same cost and have had no issues. Do not use Culligan.
Scott Wisniewski: Completely incompent and incapable of running an office. Ive been trying to get my water tank picked up for 4 months now. They have been continuing to try to charge me as well as having to take repeated days off of work just for them to not show up. If you can afford to do ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING else, you should. Even if you have to boil water first everytime to make it tolerable; it will be less painful than dealing with the Auburn location. They will continue to try to make you financially responsible for their shortcomings. You have been warned.Home depot and Lowes both make nice water systems for around $250 which has 6 month changeable filters. That is a way better route than ever dealing with this company.Edit: I also just noticed all the positive reviews for a sales rep Matt, that Matt also left a 5 star review for this place. If that doesn't tell you the kind of shady business you're in for....
Erica M: Our experience with Culligan has been amazing so far. Matt thoroughly explained the (terrible) results of our water test and our options for filter solutions. Installation was scheduled quickly and there were no issues. We immediately saw an improvement in the smell, taste, feeling, and clarity of our well water. I’m glad we didn’t wait any longer to put in a filter system. Thinking of the staining and gross particles in our water before, and comparing that to the clear water we have now, makes going with Culligan a no-brainer.

He also put in extra effort to figure out how the filtered water line can be hooked to refrigerator. Justin, who installed the under sink filter along with Matt did a great job during the day of installation. Filtered water tastes great and I would highly recommend them.
Joseph Oliver: Matt our Rep was very knowledgeable about water and how to fix our problems. We had another local company trying to get our water straighten out for six months and they couldn't get it right. Matt had our water perfect on his first try. Doug Peterson: EXCEPTIONAL WATER, EXCEPTIONAL SALES and SERVICE.Had mostly iron in our water which caused staining. Water didn’t look good for drinking and was also hard.With the new Culligan system all the problems have disappeared. No iron issues, water tastes perfect, skin and hair feels better after showering and using less detergent for dishes and washing clothes.Matt was extremely thorough and exceptional in selling what the entire system can do and following up with water testing after installation. Would highly recommended.

It is so nice having soft towels,sheets and skin. I use very little detergent, soap, shampoo and conditioner now as a little makes a lot of suds. Also, really happy about not having to drag home cases of water and recycling all that plastic. I give Culligan a very high rating.

We were convinced that we needed to do something to improve the water, that was totally not drinkable.We are very pleased with the outcome. The quality of the water is now better for our skin, and better tasting. I would highly recommend this company.
Heather Carriere: Culligan installed my home filter system last year because my water stunk after my well pump was replaced. Their system barely improved the smell. A year later, they charge me more than they said for their annual maintenance. They also said they would replace the tap that they installed in my sink that broke. After the office girl said they would take care of it, the technician told me it would be $109. If you are looking for hassles and shady practices these are your people.
Adam Robbins: I had a softening system and undersink reverse osmosis filter installed about a month ago. Matt, the sales rep, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and communicative. Our installer was great, too. We're very happy with the water quality and the filtered tap water (with Clear Link button!) tastes great. They even added a line to the fridge so now our ice is filtered too!The salt delivery has been easy - I was able to reload the salt reservoir without trouble, but if you have difficulty lifting and pouring a 40lb bag of salt, make sure the delivery happens when you can let them in to do it for you.Thanks, Culligan!
Michael Dean: Had a whole home water softening system installed on 1/26/19 and our water is 100 times better (taste,pressure,softness). Matt ( sales representative) was super professional, friendly and informative. Mike (technician) did a great job and explained how the equipment worked and how to fix a potential problem if any issues are experienced with the product. Overall the system works great and me and my wife would recommend this company to anyone.
Cheryl Bortnick: Trying to make a service appointment for the past two weeks. I just keep getting the runaround from this local office in Worcester. The person keeps saying they will call me back with an appointment but never does. I have called 3 times already and am not hopeful that they will ever help with our water softener that they installed 2 years ago and appears not to be working. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Dave Jalbert: When I had problems with my residential water system, I called Apex water pump and filter company Inc. Chris answered the phone and asked me some questions. I told him my concerns/issues and he scheduled a site visit to check out my system and get me a quote. He returned on the agreed on date on time with all the correct equipment, parts and materials needed to complete the job. when the job was completed we were extremely happy with the new location of equipment and piping maximizing the space and serviceability of the system. The bill was the agreed on price and Chris was extremely professional and nice to my family. We are now enjoying our new water system with excellent pressure and filtering capabilities.Thank you, Chris for everything!

He went the extra mile to make sure that our system would remove the high iron content and that backwashing of the system was as quiet as possible. Abraham Guy: I had an issue with my shallow well which happend on sat morning. Called 8 other contractors and no one wanted to deal with it. Chris was busy but made time to come over and troubleshoot on Sunday. The job was pretty extensive. We had to have the well dug up (etc). We had water Monday night. Chris went way over and beyond and did an incredible job. He really helped us out super nice guy very down to earth and professional. I would highly recommend him.
greg mcbrien: We hired Chris Gordon to put in an iron removal system. Had an older salt softener system for the calcium. Chris checked out the older system, updated the settings, sold us an iron removal system to take care of the iron and sulphur. Everything works great, it was installed within a week. Cost about $800 less than some other quotes we got. Call Chris, can't see how you could do business with a nicer guy too.

Anne Geyer: We are so glad Chris Gordon and APEX Water was recommended to us. He helped us troubleshoot and solve a water inspection issue during the process of selling of our house. The water professional we had been using previously had us paying for expensive filtration system re-beds every 6 months to manage manganese and iron levels and overall system functionality. We learned after bringing Chris in, that frequent re-bedding would not address our underlying problem, which was a failure by the undersized well-pump replacement the former water professional installed years before. Once the underlying problem was corrected, Chris performed a second review of our filtration system and re-tested the water for a number of parameters to verify it was now properly doing its job. For anyone who needs a water expert and wants to count on someone who is competent and trustworthy, Chris of Apex Water Pump & Filter Co. is the best choice.

Mike Mayors: Our ozone water filter was installed 3 months ago and we’re very happy with the results. 2 weeks prior the pump died on our Radon mitigation system, apparently excessive amounts of iron will do that (the inside was stained orange). Our radon tech referred us to Dave and this went smooth. Dave was very easy to reach and upfront about pricing. All in all the installation took a couple of hours on a Friday. We went from changing sediment filters almost weekly to a system that automatically backwashes itself. Highly recommend.

(ETR laboratories charges non-businesses $150 for a water test. They give Dave a discount. He charges $200 to his clients.)Edit to respond to owner: The order of events were not as you claim. I asked for a quote on a water softening system over the phone. You offered to provide a free evaluation but needed to assess the house. I agreed, and when you arrived you said that a water test was needed as part of the assessment and provided marked up prices for the water test which you did not disclose and there was no reason to 'rush' the test. The water test was 'filling a vial' which I could have easily done myself prior to your arrival if it was necessary for your assessment and the option was not given to me. You also never provided me with options because they turned out to be unnecessary for my water conditions, which I only found out by calling the lab directly. - Free evaluation means that you will show up, review the site, provide a quote and wait to see if your quote will be accepted. It does not mean you're allowed to hide fees in services that should have been done before you arrived in order to determine if your services were even necessary.
Jonathan Magsino: Dave did a great job installing an updated water softening system. I explained that I have High Blood Pressure and need asystem with less sodium. not only did he put in a more efficient system, it will utilize a mix of potassium and sodium to remove the metals from the water. He arrived ontime and completed the work as described. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a water softening system.
