Umass Memorial MRI & Imaging: what do users think?
mAb Man CHO (AbMan): This facility is really unprofessional and sucks. They charged schedule without notice and rescheduled when patient appeared on original date. In second visit, they postponed original schedule to another hour in waiting room. They never expressed their apology. If you need to get MRI, please ask your doctor to another MRI center.
juli anne: My recent shoulder MRI went smoothly. The receptionist was friendly and courteous. The technicians were very professional and accommodating to my shoulder pain making sure I was comfortable.
Mike Lefebvre: Unprofessional receptionists that LIE to the patients.
Laura Tetreault: Had no problems
Daniel Campbell: Sucked

Shields MRI at UMass Memorial - Shrewsbury Street: what do users think?
Lekzen Wangchuck: This place use to be really good, but lately it looks like they don’t know what & how they are scheduling patients. Giving the wrong information to patients, even the call center calls you and give the wrong info. Front desk at the MRI is really mean, rude and racist.
carla digregorio-wolfe: I have had a number of MRI scans here and the staff is helpful, professional and caring. I would have given 5 stars but it takes forever to schedule one. When you try to call on hold too long!!!
Pamela Benvenuti: Absolutely the WORST service ever!! Waiting weeks to get a call for mri. Then no one seems to know where or what service is available. Once booked after me making several calls day before appointment told “ I don’t think you can do it there”. Hire someone who actually cares about patients!!! The recording stated they call within 24 hours of getting a referral or orders. Bill, they NEVER call you to schedule!!!
Mary Depew: Not just Shrewsbury St . This complaint is about the scheduling department - on the phone and the Shrewsbury St location - in person. I called yesterday to make two appointments, one for MRI for brain, and the other for spine for my son who suffers from MS and claustrophobia. They told me don’t worry that my son has to go to the 3t Machine for MS. My son has been in the 1.5t before so why is it he has to go to 3t now? So the MRI’s done for him on the 1.5 are invalid then? What do they do for claustrophobic patients? The scheduler, Diane I think, could not answer that question. Also she talked over me and was so rude that I started yelling trying to be heard. She then told me the Doctor ordered the 3Tvone specifically which I said was a lie because I had just talked to the doctor’s office and they said the MRI Order did NOT specify- so I told her she lied to me. She hung up on me. I drove to the Shrewsbury St Sheilds location. I asked to make two appointments. After being told I could not make an appointment for my son( my son has told them several times that they can get all to me), I had to call my son at his work and he had to tell the receptionist is was ok for me to make the appts. With no further conversation, the receptionist handed me two appt cards for my son in the 1.5 machine- I understand the strengths of the two machines are different but why was 1.5ok before but not now? Both scheduled on Sundays at 7:50 am! I checked with our doctor and they said ok. I was not asked if those times were convenient, but just accepted the appt times. Disgusted with the rudeness and uncaring attitude of both the scheduling sept and the Shrewsbury St location. The receptionist on Wednesday at 1:pm told me “We don’t make appts here at the Shrewsbury St location, I just made the appointments as a courtesy”, when I asked which machine she made the appts for. So rude.
Donna Anderson: Same happened to me. I had an appointment that I had just made 1 week prior. Because I didn't answer the phone. They canceled my appointment. How unprofessional and unethical to interfere with my medical care. Now that have postpone my care further. I'm sure this is neither legal or ethical. Last year I also went to imams University for an mri and the tech caused me to be in such pain I couldn't finish the test. What's wrong with this place!
Wyatt Burtt: I’m not sure what the negative reviews are about, I get annual MRIs and I gotta say this place has been the best so far. The facility is very clean, staff was very nice and pleasant, wait time was next to nothing and the cushions and layout when inside the machine was the comfiest I’ve experienced.
Ioana M: Excellent service from the front door, receptionist , nurses and techs all very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you for all your help
Gail Embair: The people there are very friendly and kind. Would recommend this place .
Hala Saleh: DONT GO THERE !!When I say that was the worst experience I have ever had in a healthcare facility, it’s an understatement. These people know nothing about bedside manners, empathy or how to treat patients. Turned out the 50 min wait after they checked me in & gave me a scrub to change into, turned out that was the best part of my experience. No matter what you do, don’t ever go to that location on shrewsbury street in worcester. I heard a lot of bad things about shields but my experience tonight made me realize these people shouldn’t be in charge of patients. It’s just sad !
Bea Hug: The staff at Shields MRI are very friendly & professional. The whole facility is exceptionally clean.
Margaret W.: Had an appt for this morning, but because I work nights and didn't answer my phone, according to the message it was to pre-register, THEY CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT! Where is my $50 from them for canceling with less than 24 hours notice! They called with a caller ID that said .Massachusetts, which is usually spam, so I did't hurry to listen to the messages. They sent a text at 12:25 yesterday right after I went to bed, said update, call re: important information re: your appt, gave a number and said press 1. Nowhere did they tell me I neeed to pre-register! Only in the spam messages that I received after 7p, and by then the number went to message, no one answered!!!!If they wanted me to pre-register, they should have TOLD ME AHEAD OF TIME!!!!!
Stacy H: I went to the Shrewsbery Street Shields MRI to use the “open” machine. While the checking inn, the woman in the left was very unpleasant. However, Rafael, the gentleman who performed the MRI, was so nice. He was so soft spoken, explained what he was doing and he had a great personality. I would go back just for him. I heard that for whatever reason, people complain about him? I couldn’t imagine why. I’ve had several MRI’s in my time and he was the nicest guy ever! If he’s not appreciated there, he needs to move on and be appreciated somewhere else! Just tell him it’s the crazy lady who asked him if he likes older women! Lol
jennifer jimenez: Great staff very friendly and professional
Brian Cote: You call to have us arrive 10 min early and then we are delayed for over an hour! Why bother having scheduled appointment slots.
GSTEEE: Leaking user information. All Personal information. This company should be under.
D A: Awful customer service. People on the phone are just terrible.
Brenda Brousseau: Today was my 1st MRI the 1st mri ever I am closiforbicl severely and I was a nervous wreck having this done but the way everybody is there they make you feel very relaxed the music is good you know you've got at ball in your hand that if you need to come out are you gonna do is squeeze the ball these are all things where people really nervous about doing something this is what really works for Them If I ever have to have anymore at my rise this is where I'm going and I will have no fear when I walk in
Annaliese Schofield: Excellent
Bubs Odleson: Great staf-friendly, compassionate, and kind. Best place around!
norman burkett: Had MRI done from car accident , techs was great and helpful , I have Paget's disease , bone pelvic disease , @nd they helped me on and off tables , and everything I needed , I had great experience ,
Becky g: Excellent staff! ...from the moment you walk through the door, to the MRI. Kind and compassionate people. Spotless. Easy parking. I wouldn't have MRIs done anywhere else.

AFC Urgent Care Worcester: what do users think?
Brian Minsk: Super courteous nice staff
Wendy Trucheon: Awesome Tim Loftus PA need a great job Suturing my wound!
Lysander Blankenship: Fast and friendly service
Bryan Roy: Rather disappointed with the prescriber. Everyone else was great. She just had no personality
Lane Lacmur: Efficient and friendly staff.
Lee Gomez: Everyone was great besides the one person I actually needed to be great… the doctor.
Hector Lopez: Really good 👍
Armando Gemei: Very nice facility, the reception and nurse were very personable and the facility was clean. The nurse asked all great qualifying questions about my injury (previous nursing student myself) was friendly and the doctor was very knowledgeable about my treatment and follow up instructions should my situation not improve or worsen. Will definitely go back if I ever need medical attention again.
Passion_Love: I appreciate the concern and the attention given to my mother both by the CNA and the Doctor.
Milton Davila: Very kind and very professional the way they treat us with respect and seriousness.
john kirby: Friendly staff, knowledgeable and expla ined when I asked questions. Highly rate.
Laura Lenahan: I couldn’t believe how quickly we were seen on a Saturday. Everyone wax nice and showed they cared .
BeantownLegend69: Very helpful, honest doctor. I almost left 4 stars due to the long wait but had a change of heart , a 5 star review is worthy cause they were very apologetic about the long wait. That was very good character the docs and nurses said that 3 times when I walked out , most urgent care places just don’t care.
Bob Gazard: I made an appt for 2:30, no one in wait room, was put right into a room and told the Dr would be right in. Waited 50 minutes in exam room, had a 5 min visit, practitioner was very nice and gave me prescription.
Maggie Davis: INCREDIBLY kind and caring nurses and front desk staff. My doctor, however, listened to me describe a list of mono symptoms such as severe fatigue and hives, and she proceeded to say "it's probably allergies, get over the counter Flonase and Zyrtec." I wasn't congested and didn't have a sore throat. It was like she didn't listen to a single word I said. I had to argue with her that I needed a mono test, and the very sweet nurse came to administer it ("Oh, you're in college? Say no more, you need a mono test.") , and wouldn't you know, I was positive for mono! The doctor wasn't even apologetic when she told me it came back positive, after she tried to tell me to go get FLONASE for hives and fatigue. Infuriating.
Susan Dube: Staff were very professional. Was able to get an appointment on the day I called. Was in and out within 30 minutes. Highly recommend
Mark Francolini: Totally incompetent!!!
Stewart Lanier: Easy signing in, little wait, very friendly and professional staff. Got the help I needed. I'd definitely go back
Efrain Mercado: My visit was excellent the people in the office for courteous and I was in and out in very happy
Brenda Mandella: Quick and friendly.
Cheryl Hudson: I got the help I needed.

ReadyMED Plus Urgent Care: what do users think?
Elizabeth Marhefka: They saw my 2 year in pain. But because I had a mass health. They turned her AWAY!
Kerri Shaughnessy: Having an appointment doesn’t matter 2+ hour wait
juan esteban muriel tejada: Really bad and no human services…. Since the triage all the nurses are full of angry for the patients. I will never recommend this place
Stephanie Segur: Between my two kids (5 and 2) we’re here, often. It doesn’t matter if we’re one of the first in the door or one of the last. We are always greeted with a pleasant staff member, and the nurses and doctors always go above and beyond. I’ve never felt rushed. I’ve never felt unheard and I’ve always felt like my kids were check out like they were one of the docs own. Yes the wait times can be long at times. The website is always pretty accurate, and even if they’ve been working like crazy all day, and we waited two hours, we’ve always had a very pleasant experience. I’m thankful for you all.
Arthur Wang: A terrible waste of time and money.Had nerve pain in my arm that got worse day by day, and wanted to come in for an ultrasound. Called ahead to confirm that they can do this.Waited 1 hour and 30 minutes to be told that they don't do ultrasounds on arms, and even if they did, they couldn't see nerves.Just do a quick google search for "ultrasound on nerves" and you'll see it's a common way to detect nerve damage. Showed the doctor literal photos of ultrasounds on nerves in the arm, and papers showing how effective ultrasound is for diagnosing nerve pain, and he had no idea what to say.I could also hear him talking to another doctor outside about how annoying I was.Again, just a huge waste of time and money, and apparently uneducated in their field.
C G: Thank you Redi med , you helped me on Saturday and today I'm feeling awesome! Happy new year!
Stephanie Gaudette: I don't usually leave reviews, but felt this one is warranted. I went there yesterday (New Years Day) with severe cough that I've had for 2 weeks. The wait time when I got there was 3hrs, this was at 3pm. I was shocked at first but the waiting room was full so I totally understood. The rate that patients were going in and out was fast, I ended up only waiting 1hr 15min, so you can't always go by the wait times! In just under 2 hours of treatment I received 2 nebulizer treatments, an x-ray, and IV fluids (I was a mess, lol). Try getting that in an ER these days! They gave me a nebulizer machine to take home and made sure many times that I understood the multitude of meds I was prescribed. I was so impressed with the efficiency! All of the nurses and the NP that I saw were phenomenal and so caring. I've been to this location many times before for me and my kids and have received nothing but great care there!
Shanice Reeder: I came in for eye irritation twice and they said it was allergies even though I told them that the over the counter medications was not working and my eyes became more swollen and painful. I went to see an optometrist and it ended up being severe pink eye. I felt like I was overlooked and they didn't seemed to care.
Emily Dagle: We were seen quickly. Everyone was very nice and professional during the exam, fitting for brace and crutches, and x-ray. Sean was extremely nice and caring!
Ris P: Fast, professional service. I was seen quickly and the staff made me feel so comfortable. I will recommend this facility on Shrewsbury st to anyone! I will be back if anything was to ever come up again.
Jillian N: I was there today with my child and had a 1hr 40 minute wait. Once we were seen the doctor was very kind and provide a lot of education on dislocated elbows. I was very happy with the service we received!
Gleicy Gomes: I loved the service! And it was super fast!
Amanda Sargent: Worst place. Just had to wait with my 11 month old for 3 hours while he is running a 103 fever with cough congestion and dehydration and they said he wasn't in the red line. Like this baby is so sick and he's not important.
Anthony Veloso: Website says not too busy and 20 minutes wait. We drove 10 minutes to the facility, refreshed webpage says 30 minute wait. Go inside and see that it's a 2 hour and 40 minute wait. Awful. Thoughtless.
Jasmine Torres: The lame advice was to go to the ER. Without any medicine. On a Saturday night with a waiting room. Over flooded and full of bacteria and hours and hours later still not treated. God forbid her jaw is shattered and no one would check a quick X-ray. Just want to do right by your kid. Just take 1 X-ray to see what we are dealing with. Now freezing. Sitting next to vomit in a disgusting ER. Thanks for nothing.
g dolly: Good team.
tyler wills: Everyone here was awesome, super friendly and attentive! The Physican Assistant, I'd had was very concerned & caring , this place is literally little a mini - hospital without the additional Crazy experience & Noisey! They're did a C.T. Scan , Blood work , and a few other things, I'll truly appreciate everything they've did for me to help me feel better & I'd did find- out when was Wrong with- me. No complaints, whatsoever, they've even have a Little Mini- TV's with cable other side , for their patients to watch some television and get their help them not think about feeling crappie, that was so cool! This Redy - Med Location , makes our local Urgent Care's look a Vet - Hospital for pet's, Urgent Care's people & there staff aren't that approachable and friendly, for the most part . Here at Ready- Med on Shrewsbury St, in Worcester MA, excellent professional staff , nurses, kind , 👏 approachable, clean beautiful new state of the arch equipment! If ever I'd need to go back I'll 100% percent go here for sure ! Only 3 hours, if I'd decided to go the route of going to ER , it would've have been double- triple the time there an. Not so friendly staff, and a wrose endless migraine 😑 that wasn't needed, so I decided to go this route to Ready- Med , 5 stars ! Excellent service ! In addition, We got the test results at the end of the visit, which was really good!
mariangeli: I was there for 5 hours, they called the wrong name multiple times (mind you i’m hearing impaired - but if you’re not calling the right name to begin with how am i supposed to know it’s me?), my number was still in queue which is why i had stayed even though they claimed to have “taken me off” hours before when they supposedly had “called the wrong name”, told me they couldn’t take me after they messed up by never even TRYING to call me and were extremely rude. they clearly skipped over me multiple times and refused to take me once i spoke up. I literally have a photo of myself in my MyChart and everything because of my hearing loss so the excuses were beyond me. I watched my number sit FIRST in queue for 2 hours while they called everyone else in so their version of events doesn’t make sense. don’t even waste your time at this place. especially if you have a disability, they don’t care.
Zeynep Yükselen: I checked the website before our visit today, it showed 50 minutes waiting time for peds visit. Entrance was at 3:30 pm, saw the PA at 6:40 pm. He checked the toddler's ear, prescribed Abx and we left at 6:45 pm. As a physician myself, I'd understand the importance of triage. But not being able to do 2 minutes physical in 3 hours telling me that something is really wrong. Otherwise nurses and the PA were pretty nice and they deserve to be rated 5 out of 5.
sa L.P. Porcaro: Why Don't they take INSURANCE for a physical??? We have our insurance for these reasons!!!!!!!
Mark D: What a terrible disgusting place this is. Not clean not sanitary at all. The nurses and check in people are serious pieces of trash and should all be fired. I’m so disgusted I’ll never ever go to a place like this again. Shame on you readymed.

CareWell Urgent Care Worcester Greenwood St: what do users think?
Amanda Bellino: I walked in extremely sick and the doors were still unlocked at a half hour to 8. When I walked in and stated I’m pregnant and I just need a strep test or something they said you can come back in the morning and I asked but you don’t close till 8 and you won’t see me now? And they said and I quote “absolutely not” I do not recommend going here unless you wanna leave in tears
Ace Rothstein: Don’t waste time here go to ER have to wait hours with appointment so unprofessional
amrutha p: It is never an urgent care! Had to wait for hours to get to the doctor!
Big Duke Six: Doesn’t matter if you have an appointment or not, 1.5 -2 hours on avg. until you’re seen and gone… ridiculous. Nothing urgent here except the name.
Tenshinome: What a terrible place if I could give it a zero I would I made an appointment cause I’m so sick and couldn’t sit and wait and I got there and the lady tells me it’s a 2 hours wait why make appointments if I have to wait hours place is a complete dump and there’s only one doctor working maybe get some better staff and don’t make appointments when there’s going to be a 2 plus hour wait so ridiculous
layla samia: one of the worst urgent cares i’ve ever been to every time you come here the wait is atleast an hour even if there isn’t anybody waiting and they disregard their appointments
carolyn G.L.: Nope!! Go elsewhere!!! Over the 7 days, I have felt increasingly ill by the day, and now feel the sickest I can remember!! I am normally a very healthy person. Major chest congestion and I can not breathe without a body shaking wet hacking cough. I cough so much, my head constantly feels like it is exploding with pressure inside. I have body aches, my eyes ache, no appetite, taste and very low energy. I work in the medical profession. I take patient histories. When I finally got to an examine room (I only waited 1 1/2 hrs, pretty good compared to some reviews), I was horrified that I was barely asked any questions about my symptoms. My BP came out extremely high (174/97) which was never mentioned again the whole visit. (I told the nurse I normally have very good BP). The nurse did what I believe was an inadequate covid/flu swab which she conducted briefly because I couldn't help coughing when she stuck it in my throat and nose. So she just gave up, and of course, that came back negative, surprise! Then the doctor cruises in, listens briefly to my chest, no other examination, no other questions. No mention of my BP. She says my chest is clear, I am not infectious, and that she was going to give me a Rx for cough medicine. I asked what was in the medicine and SHE COULDN'T TELL ME!!!!!!!!!! The DR!! did not know the active drug in the cough medicine she was prescribing. The Dr just kept telling me it was prescription cough medicine!! (BTW - the nurse didn't know what an expectorant was!!)Ahhh, no. Don't go here. Shame on you UMass Memorial! This is a perfect example of the dire drop in quality of health care available now! I have moved away from UMass recently because I have noticed a big drop in their quality of care.Companies are so desperate to hire SOMEONE that they hire ANYONE, who a few years ago, may have had difficulty getting a good job, because of their lack of training or test scores. Just my opinion.I had to literally insist on having an x-ray, which she then said was clear - surprise surprise (But I can't breathe there is sooo much congestion!!!!).Sitting for my 1 1/2 hrs in reception I listened to the lady with glasses call people with x-ray results, and 99.9% were 'clear, no issue'. I thought that highly suspicious, especially as at another Urgent care a few yrs ago I had a completely broken wrist diagnosed as a 'sprain'. I mention this because Urgent Cares seem to suck universally.Don't go to this place.Young lady at the front was really nice and helpful, the older woman with glasses was Ms Grump.I heard them complain about the efficiency of their call center, when they turned a car accident victim away (understandably they can't see car accident victims) who was in extreme discomfort, on crutches, and had obviously made great effort to get there. This poor lady said she had made an appt with the call center, and told them she had been in a car accident, and they made the appt for her. Nope! Turned away. Painfully, she left, looking lost.I can see that the front desk are over-worked.Not a good start if you need a sick visit, and don't expect to get the help you need.Feeling worse today, going to ER, as my new Primary can't see me until August!!!
That Person: Came here once and my sick child received stellar treatment within a reasonable time, even though they were busy. The nurse was so compassionate, I’ve never seen someone be so patient with a kid who hates nasal swabs, she did it so gently and didn’t force anything. Amazing. You could tell she really felt for the kid. The Dr was good too. Knowledgeable and a sense of humor. This place really helped us out in a pinch. Plus they had a bunch of drug tests to do and even with a couple hours to close the receptionist was able to get all patients seen or scheduled for the AM. And yes we had to wait, that’s normal these days not just to here.
Chulis Lo: This place is terrible the front desk is sleeping and she hangs up the phone on every call very unprofessional she should be fired this place should be shut down
Robin Jewell: I always have a great experience when I go here!
Liz Whittle: Love making an appointment to just wait almost 3 hours to be seen, while listen to the staff complain about how they just want to go home and are annoyed there are still people waiting to be seen (whom all have been waiting for hours also). Have a full blown eye infection and the PA wasn't going to give me antibiotics until I absolutely insisted. And don't forget the medical assistant who wrote my medication allergies on a post it note... really encouraging that is going to be noted somewhere properly. This place is a joke. Never going to this urgent care again.
Ibrahim Jameel: The girl with the glasses in the front desk really needs to work on her attitude. I called to get my labs results and because she’s lazy and doesn’t want to do her job she left me on hold for 25 minutes hoping that I hang up. So I decided to go in, when I walked in I see her doing nothing and on top of leaving me on hold and wasting my time she wouldn’t stop running her mouth with me If you don’t like people, or if you don’t like customer service that’s fine. Find you a job that doesn’t require you to interact with people. Thank you
Just Wonderingcrafts: Horrible service, low to non staffed, wait times are impossible
Steph Bestever: Need new front desk staff.. asap
Tim Murray: I used them once in the middle of 2021 and they were attentive and quick. Fast forward to December 2022 and they’ve been closed twice when I tried to go in person and don’t answer the phone frequently (does that mean they’re closed). The latest annoyance was showing up and I was being checked in someone walked from the back office and told the receptionist they couldn’t take any more patients. Like… what the heck… how does the second largest city in New England have so few walk in sites available and how is the service this spotty?
BZ: Nothing urgent about this place. I Have been here 3 times now. There is always an extremely long wait (3-5hrs on average) regardless if you schedule a time or walk in. This last time I walked in right when the place opened figuring it would be faster and I still had to wait for 5 hours. When they finally get you into a room it then takes another 1-2 hrs of waiting.I do not recommend going here because of it's extremely long wait times.
Madilyn Fleisch: Walked in and was told it would be a 2-2.5h wait and that I could make an appointment online. I left and made and appointment for 2h later. 20 minutes after my initial walk in I get a call from the clinic letting me know they are closing for the day. 5h earlier than their posted working hours. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Allie “Darling Allie” Cruz: The absolute rudest, most unprofessional urgent care I've ever been to!! I wouldn't take a rodent there. Please do not go to this location, especially if you have a sick child! No wonder this place is under staffed. I hope it ends up closing. Nobody deserves to be treated so poorly !!
Tammy Blinn: The most unorganized system of urgent cares. Must scan a QR code. Then complete information already available to them. I came in only needing a possible cracked knee Xray. The script was completed by my PCP. That information could have been extrapolated from the printed script from my Provider. You can't compete the form without supplying a credit card number for payment. Even if you have insurance to cover everything, Including co-pays !
Wynn Plantier: 2 hours and counting to pee in a cup and leave, kinda really impressive 👏
Mariah Mo: The people are the front desk are so rude. No idea how they even are still employed. They talk to people horribly brought my 3 year old in twice at different times. Whether 3pm or 6pm they always have an excuse why they can’t see people. Ready med on Shrewsbury st is the best in the city unfortunately they don’t accept people whose primary care is UMASS and has masshealth. Never dealt with such unprofessional people as with this urgent care.
