Gourmet Boutique: what do users think?
Rebecca Simmons: Anya expertly took us through a world of tea and chocolate in about 45 minutes and it was AWESOME! I learned so much and have a new found appreciation for both items. Also, Fjak is going to be my new favorite word for at least a week. :) I can't wait to plan our next team building exercise with Gourmet Boutique.
Kelsey Desjardins: We used Gourmet Boutique for our corporate event. Anya was happy to hop on a call with us and answer any questions we had and also made suggestions for our event based on similar ones they hosted in the past. She was professional and knowledgeable and is passionate about what she does. Our wine and chocolate expert, Adam, who hosted our event did a spectacular job keeping everyone engaged. He was intelligent, personable and kept the conversation light hearted and comfortable. I highly recommend Gourmet Boutique!
Danelle Spatariu: I hired Gourmet Boutique for a work event and it was a stellar experince from beginning to end. Anya wa so helpful in finding the right selection for our group and the right price point. Members of our team were even able to pick either coffee or tea + the chocolate. It was a devine experience and the teas, coffees and chocolates were superb!
Marty Hu: I scheduled a chocolate tasting with my team at work. Before the tasting, the team at Gourmet Boutique worked with me over email & phone to ensure that my chocolates arrived on time and to the right people.Anya showed up to our company event herself and her knowledge was incredible. I learned a lot about chocolate!
Gooding Family: Fantastic experience. We had a team event with people from Europe and the US. We asked lots of in-depth questions and had a great time. I now know more about buying good chocolate which is a major life skill!
Gillian Schriever: Overall great experience! Our team hosted a virtual new hire celebration event, and the culinary educator at Gourmet Boutique, Adam, was wonderful. He kept the mood upbeat and fun with lighthearted banter as we tried an assortment of delicious chocolate and teas. Coordinating logistics leading up to the event was a very easy process- Anya, our initial point of contact with GB, took the time to explain the process and answer the many questions we had. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a virtual culinary experience for a professional group event!
Kamie Ngamsathaponchai: Anya and her team was wonderful. We had decided to have a virtual team event and had just under four weeks to organize delivery across east and west coast locations - all were delivered before the event !! Everyone was so surprise and happy with the goodies. During the event itself, Anya gave us an enjoyable, informative and taste-bud opening experience !!! She was able to cover both wine/chocolate pairing as well as tea/chocolate. The event was a success. Thanks Anya
Ashlee Hagstrom: Our team had such a fun time during the tasting experience! Anya was very engaging and educated about all the different kinds of chocolate. Plus, they tasted amazing! It was a great way for our team to virtually connect. I would definitely recommend.
Elizabeth Conn: I absolutely loved the virtual tasting we did for a work retreat with Anya! I was very impressed with Anya and all of the knowledge she has; she knows her chocolate stuff! She was also very personable. The chocolate that we tried was awesome too, and I'm not even a huge fan of chocolate. I'm also very glad that the chocolate they send is allergen friendly. I'm vegan, and I'm glad that I was still able to participate in this with my coworkers.10/10!!!
Mackenzie Stone: Such an amazing experience, Anya was so knowledgable and fun to learn from! Not to mention how accommodating they were to last minute hanges/hiccups! I already had high expectations and they totally exceeded them, thank you for a lovely staff bonding experience!!
Natasha Tekeste: This was an amazing team building event! I really enjoyed learning about all the different types of chocolate, the cacao & chocolate making process and getting to try the different bars. Anya did an incredible job! I would highly recommend trying this out.
Elana McKernan: Anya hosted a virtual chocolate tasting for our staff retreat (virtual this year thanks to Covid) and it was INCREDIBLE! She was incredibly knowledgable and generous with her explanations, and her passion for ethically-sourced chocolate shone through everything she taught us. They easily accommodated multiple staff dietary restrictions and were flexible with our scheduling when we had to make a last-minute adjustment.I'm already thinking up an excuse to hire them again for another tasting!
Lauren Roux: Anya hosted a wonderful chocolate tasting for a work happy hour that I was planning! Couldn't be happier with this company and how easy they were to work with during the planning and the shipping options offered (could ship to both US and Canadian attendees!). Anya was a wonderful host throughout the happy hour and is extremely knowledgeable and passionate on the subject which made it even more enjoyable. All of our attendees really loved it and took away so many learnings from the session. Thanks again for the wonderful experience and I cannot recommend enough to anyone looking for a fun and unique happy hour idea!
Diana Shelby: Anya hosted a wonderful virtual, corporate team-building for us today. She was knowledgeable and entertaining and the chocolate selections were unique and delicious! I enjoyed the session and learned a lot too. I highly recommend her and her products!
Jacqueline Udin: Anya hosted a chocolate and tea team builder for our team. The chocolate and tea pairings were exquisite and delicious! We were pre-shipped a generous goodie box of fine teas and the highest quality chocolates I've ever experienced. Under Anya's direction, we prepared teas and paired them with globally and ethically sourced fair trade sourced chocolates. Anya's knowledge share and kind facilitation made this an outstanding team building event. I highly recommend this for your next remote corporate event!
Crystal Dorsey: Anya hosted a very informative and delicious corporate event for us today. I learned a lot about craft chocolate and now I want to learn more! Also tasted some of the most amazingly flavorful chocolate I've ever had! Very enjoyable, would highly recommend.
Little Fruit Tree: Tastes good, fast delivery and the price was good.
Vatcharee Benjauthrit: I just attended a fabulous virtual chocolate tasting led by Anya and would highly recommend it to all! The 5 full chocolate bars they ship to you (protected in a nice foil bag with mini cold packs) are some of the best I've ever had and they have a great mission to support chocolate makers using ethically sourced ingredients. Anya provided fun information about each chocolate bar/maker and I loved the trip around the world concept. It has definitely made me more mindful of what chocolate companies I choose to support and excited to try products from all the small craft chocolate makers who are playing with such creative flavors and methods! Chocolate Renaissance indeed :)
Karen Chen: Virtual chocolate tasting was so informative, unique, and fun! Learned a lot about fair trade chocolate, boutique chocolate makers, quality chocolate ingredients, and how pivotal chocolate is to our lives and our tastebuds. Anya was also great at providing what drinks to pair chocolates with!
Jiya Jackson: Our company did a tasting session with them, and I was so blown away by not only the deliciousness of all these amazing gourmet craft chocolates from all over the world, but also by the knowledge of the ethics of cacao industry. I love how the founder is so passionate about the products and the industry. It makes all the difference when you truly care about the sustainability of the environment. I will definitely considering buying from them for families and friends.
Rachel Panhorst: The passion for good chocolate is evident here! Anya did an amazing job explaining notes and flavors with the varieties of samples, and she's such a delight! Leave the Hershey on the shelf, and get the good stuff from here!

Taza Chocolate: what do users think?
Mikayla Nieves: If you do the tour you get to sample some of the chocolate they sell and even get an indepth walk through of the chocolate making process. I wouldn't do the hot chocolate bar, it's $35 for a small paper cup of hot chocolate that you would give a toddler! They have a nice selection of chocolate for sale and are having quite a few types of chocolate ON sale.
LS Tours: We arranged for a private tour for a school group and the group said they enjoyed the experience! Working with Taza Chocolate to arrange the tour was easy and relatively inexpensive per person, which is always a plus. Our group had just over 30 so they broke the group up into 2 back to back tours which worked for the group. Thanks Taza Chocolate for a wonderful experience for our group : )
sara meyer: Tend to agree with those who find the chocolate too 'gritty'. Maybe it's an acquired taste.
Elizabeth B: Excellent, informative tour with tons of samples! We learned so much about this special company.
Mitzi Morris: Very friendly staff, very interesting educational factory tour. Samples of every product! Nice to see a socially conscious company succeed as a local business. All of their products are dairy free, a nice surprise for those with dairy sensitivities.
Arjun Bhatt: Super nice customer service!!!
Patrick Ma: Have enjoyed Taza’s chocolate for several years. Know the style of chocolate may be different than other styles. This is not German, Belgian or Swiss. Good in its own right and especially love when it leans into that identity. Go spicy if you can. Also, if you’ve read about lead and cadmium levels being high in a variety of chocolates especially dark——as it so happens Taza is considered safe—- see CR article (Lead and Cadmium Could Be in Your Dark Chocolate)
Alyse Hopkins: The chocolate factory tour was such an amazing experience!! We learned so much and had an awesome time (and got to sample a loooot of chocolate). I cannot recommend this enough!! Book a tour!
Vanessa Hayes: So glad we googled "factory tours in Boston" and came across Taza! Awesome tour, cool facility, decor is on point, and the chocolate was great! So many flavors. The tour was guided by Christine who was fabulous. A must do!
M Goldman: Fun and informative weekend tour for families!
Guilherme Romero Dos Santos: The meals at the new restaurant are delicious.
Thomas dodge: The tour is best afternoon date idea hands down. Manny was the best tour guide I’ve had for anything, and the price is unbeatable. Chocolate is pretty good too…
Sarah Wang: Interesting chocolate that tastes more bitter than store-bought at the same percentage cacao! Definitely worth a try, but can’t say the gritty texture is my favorite. Their staff is absolutely wonderful, and graciously let me try (almost) all of their products. My favorites were definitely the chocolate covered nuts and vanilla chocolate! So yummy!
Adrianne Cheung: As a chocolate fan, this ice chocolate is yummy.I also bought some chocolate bars.
Varun Behl: Super fun chocolate factory with tours and it used to have free samples. Worth stopping by if you're in the area
Julie Sp: Great tour and insights not only to Taza chocolate but also chocolate in general. When they say there are samples - they are not kidding! Absolutely worth the visit!
Jillian Herr: I love this chocolate. It’s texture is so interesting and as you chew it it the gritty texture melts away revealing More subtle flavors. I love it’s mouth feel and appreciate the unique texture! Have gotten it multiple times for special occasions.
Deborah Stromain: Stopped here while walking around Harvard and loved how nice the place was. Tried an iced chocolate drink that was really good. I could tell it was good quality chocolate as it didn’t taste overly sweet or artificial. Will definitely try to stop by next time I am in Boston.
Wendy Face: Enjoy tour last year with lots of samples. So much fun.
Brenda Storz: Tried two bites and threw the rest straight in the trash! Chocolate is the worst I've ever had, it's like chewing on a bitter mouthful of sandpaper. Chocolate should be creamy and rich, but Taza is gritty, bitter, while somehow still one dimensional. "Raw and earthy" should NEVER describe chocolate! A thoroughly revolting dessert not worth the money or calories!

Teuscher Chocolates of Switzerland: what do users think?
Hannah: This store is pure happiness to go into. It's decorated beautifully, there is the smell of chocolate in the air, and there is wonderful service. I bought the orange chocolate bar, two milk chocolate caramels, and dark chocolate almond clusters that were all delicious. I can't wait to visit again and try more of their treats.
Tim Chilcott: I've been treating myself to Teuscher chocolates after receiving a box from one of my patients. I've since given champagne truffles to family and friends including but not limited to Sally Field and Oprah Winfrey (who incidentally I introduced to Teuscher).
John Cannistraro: Cute store but really overpriced.
Sharanya Rachel John: Unmatched quality, great taste. However, I would say they’re pretty pricey. But wait, it’s worth every penny considering how heavenly their chocolates taste. I went in for the dark truffles because I don’t generally prefer any additions to my chocolate and they were to die for. Simple and modest. If you’re looking to splurge (both dollar bills and calories lol) on some chocolate at any point in time, definitely get yourself to Teuscher and you will not regret it.
Andrea Carolyn: Truffles are pricey, but worth every penny. The Swiss do chocolate perfectly!
다정: Lovely experience ❤️
Matthew Sweeney: THE best hidden gem in town, and I’ve tried a lot of chocolate shops in Boston. It’s the only reason I ever visit Newbury these days. I feel like I’m in a local shop in Switzerland whenever I step inside. Always beautifully decorated for the occasion. So glad they made it through the pandemic. Try the champagne truffles, you’ll thank me later.
Esther Paik: Small little shop on Newbury that my friends and I visited on a whim and ended up falling in love with. Staff were very helpful and patient, and the store itself offers a variety of chocolate bars, gift boxes, fun shaped chocolates, and delicious truffles with a variety of unique flavors. The gift boxes are amazing gifts to try a variety of their different unique truffle flavors, such as jasmine, rose, lavender, Bailey's, vodka, and others! I personally tried the jasmine, rose, and lavender and loved that the flavor was not overpowering and tasted very authentic, not chemical-y at all. I usually don't care for chocolate but this is a must-visit!
Samuel Segal: I've been fortunate to have eaten Teuscher champagne truffles for over 30 years now. Originally we would buy them in NYC. around 12 years ago, while in Boston, we enjoyed visiting their Teuscher. Since then Stefan and his coworkers have gone above and beyond, mailing us truffles for Valentines day and other special occasions. The truffles are the finest chocolates I've ever encountered and the service from the Boston shop is beyond anything we could hope for.
Anthony: I think this was probably the first time I had REAL chocolate in my life, so good. Please go try
Tenzin Sangmo: Woahhhh… I have never had Swiss chocolate before today and I think it just might be better than Belgium chocolate. I tried the truffles and my family and I all agree the pistachio and bailey’s were the best. I also tried the marzipan for myself and wish I got more to save for later. Would highly recommend!
Hyunkyung Kim: Friendly helpful service over the phone. Needed a gift ASAP for coworker, so they went out of their way to deliver to me same-day on a Friday evening to my office downtown.
Alaze: Really beautiful store floral design on newbury stChocolates taste great and the clerk is very friendly and give great recommendationsThey’ve got a lot of different flavors to choose fromThe price is a little high in general but it’s definitely worth the visit!Don’t say the b word there!(bel…gium…)
Crab Cakes: Chocolates are overpriced. They have a weird after taste and all taste fairly similar to one another. There are better options/value for your money out there. Believe me.
Brendan T. & Dana M. Wilson: Beautiful store with lovely variety!
Catherine Chan-Bhanushali: One of my favorite Newbury Street small businesses! I was so relieved to see it had survived the COVID pandemic amidst all the business closures up and down the street. Their chocolates are delicious - I bought a music pack for my friend and he loved them! I definitely will come back to purchase more chocolatey confections when I venture there again!
Esther J: Delicious. Not life changing but delicious and great service to make people become regulars. It really felt like a treat to pick up a small box of chocolate goodies. Although, a few modern updates (lighting?) with descriptions of the chocolates. Not really complaining though. There’s a charm.
AB: Ok chocolate. Way way overpriced
Paul L: Great customer service. They offered courier delivery as opposed to fed-ex, even delivered it on a Sunday!
Natalie Olofsson: Unfortunately I was very underwhelmed. The owner was very charming and I wanted to like it, but it ended up tasting stale and extremely expensive.
Melissa Chan: Top quality go-to for my chocolate cravings! The Champagne truffle, pink pepper chocolate bar, and covered fruits are goooooood! There are lots of unique flavors and combos I tried for the first time here. Makes for a sweet, fun gift to loved ones. It’s all handmade and imported from Switzerland, which I love. Honestly so worth it, because you can definitely taste the difference! The people there are accommodating and knowledgeable and handle everything with care. They also seem to put lots of work in making the shop a soft, inviting and BEAUTIFUL atmosphere. Super pretty! Like Newbury’s little secret garden. Always a good experience. I RECOMMEND for anyone looking for gift ideas, or wanting to try something delicious.

Beacon Hill Chocolates: what do users think?
カイジ(魁士): お土産に買って喜んでもらえました。小洒落た綺麗なお店です。味は分かりません。店員さんの話すスピードが早く、あたふたして恥ずかしかったです。
shobh raj: Bad customer service
Kyler M.: Cute chocolate shop - on a cold day, grab a hot chocolate and sit a while.
Exposing fake fuckery: I would NEVER go here ever! Me and my friend where the only ones in the store he was on an important phone call on speaker because his phone ear piece is broken where about to order and the girl goes can you take that phone or speaker so we don’t hear!!!!!! Stuff your over priced chocolate up your yuppy behind your rude gross and disrespectful!!
Michael DiBona Sr: Really appreciate great Chocolate ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Mary Ellen Tucker: Great chocolates. Recent visit revealed serious staff shortage. I would have purchased more if the store was not so crowded. I hope they are able to resume full service. The truffles are splendid!
Nicolas Depauw: (Almost) the best chocolates in Boston, maybe in the US...I'm originally from Europe and American chocolate is not quite the same honestly... but at Beacon Hill chocolates they improt truffles from all over the world I believe, or at least a lot from Europe, and that's always been my go-to place.I've tried many shops across the US and thus far its always been my favorite.I said "almost" at the beginning just because there is one local chocolate shop that I may like better, but chocolates in the US are already very pricey and that place is twice more per truffle than Beacon Hill, which is just nuts. 😅Beacon Hill also offers truffle classes (never been myself) and they have those awesome handmade boxes that can be bought (for a premium) which makes it a really really neat gift for any occasion!Highly highly recommended!
Sam Russell: Huge selection of chocolates and truffles. I was a bit surprised at how few were local chocoaltiers though :( . Friendly staff.
Sandip Patel: Delicious artisan chocolates. Bought some and shipped some to share this delicacy. And then visited again for more. This store also has varieties of chocolate bars from across the world. I also bought a Mexican hot chocolate bar made by Seattle chocolate company. It definitely had a kick of cayenne pepper. The store also sell gelato and ice in limited flavors. Not a large selection of ice cream flavors but I have to try it next time. They do serve their famous hot chocolate that I wish to try in winter. Staff was polite and assured me the chocolates shipped will be kept cold during shipping to avoid melting in this sweltering summer. If you like to gift chocolates, they have many gift options that fits many occasion and is personalizable. I definitely recommend this place. So many flavors to try, you will definitely love some.
Jose Ramirez: Nice
Elaine Smith: Good selection of chocolate
ilike3tacos 117: Best selection of luxury chocolate and speciality gifts for the holidays great for anyone
Katherine Anthony: Pretty steeply priced chocolates, but there are a lot of them! I wish the prices for all of the store items were more visible. Same for the truffles, it would have been helpful to know which ones are cheaper and which ones are more expensive. I got a hot chocolate and was pretty hesitant when I saw that they use powdered hot chocolate, but was actually very impressed! It was strong but not overpowering and served at the perfect temperature. Very cute store to go in around fall-winter time.
Neretva a: Tourist trap - better off drinking puddle water than whatever they're trying to pass off as hot chocolate. Swiss Miss is a gourmet option compared to what they're serving. The chocolates are hit and miss ... well mostly miss. It was $40 worth of disappointment. Do yourself a favor and just go to Burdick's.
Tyler: Great customer service and fun selection of chocolate. We're going to make this a must stop shop next time we come to Boston.
Youri H: One of the ladies at the store was rude. I didn’t stay any longer. I saw other reviews complaining about the employees. Still the same attitude.November 5th, at 2pm.
Miles Hicks: Wonderful little shop. Lots of great options, I highly recommend the stuffed fig.
Deborah Sampson: Stunningly beautiful chocolates. Outrageous prices
Todd B. Vick: My wife and I were in Boston last week on vacation. We were quite fortunate to discover Beacon Hill Chocolates. I purchased a box of personally selected chocolates. These were the best chocolates I've ever had, and we've bought chocolates from all over the U.S. from California to Massachusetts. I highly recommend this shop. Their customer service to top notch and their chocolates are fantastic. I'll certainly be ordering from them via their internet site for years to come.
Sheila: My mom just bought these little wedding themed boxes for my brothers wedding here. Each chocolate was an absolute DREAM. I just finished the boxes I got my hands on and now I'm planning a trip tomorrow! I can't live without now!
Yue Li: I had pistachio gelato. The best I’ve ever had, even better than the ones in Italy!

L.A. Burdick Handmade Chocolates: what do users think?
Brittani Farrell: Beautiful shop, lovely looking desserts- rudest counter staff person that quickly encouraged me not to spend a dime here. I politely asked if I could bring in an outside drink, and I stumbled over myself nervously. The counter person responded with a harsh tone after putting his hands up in a rude gesture and saying “okayyyyy let’s start at the beginning with what you want to order”, seeming annoyed that I inconvenienced him with an extra 10 seconds of explanation. (There was no line behind me). I really hope there is a different culture that I missed here, because it had the potential to be a lovely business.
Heather G: Best hot chocolate of my life! I got the milk chocolate, it was very rich and so creamy! My travel partner got the dark chocolate and he liked it (I'm not a fan of dark) he said it was very bitter (the way its supposed to be) we loved this place so much we came back the next day! Very cute little place
Diarra Amoa: Great Hot Chocolate, though their Pain au Chocolats were a bit hard. 🤷🏾‍♀️👏🏾
Elizabeth Stewart: The hot chocolate is amazing but we were quickly met with a graying bussboy who yelled at us for stacking plates on one of the few open tables. Maybe do your job silently and stick to serving hot chocolate.
Enyo Pax: Always stop by here whenever we are around. Seating is at a premium but if you want to grab stuff to go it's great!
Bradley Osterhout: If you love chocolate this is the place. Amazing hot chocolate, mocha's, chocolate mice and baked goods.
Paul Tsvor: The best chocolates in New England 🍫
Moonstone08: The sweets, desserts, and teas are delicious. I haven't tried their hot chocolate yet, but hopefully I will get the chance soon since so many of my friends have been loving it.I was ordering their “Earl Grey Mousse Cake” for my mother's birthday and the customer service was so helpful in-store and over the phone. I would definitely stop by again, and I truly recommend their cakes as they are really flavorful and creative.
Lauren Smit: Expensive but REALLY GREAT CHOCOLATE!!!
Liubov Birger: Очереди долгие, обслуживание медленно, продукция так себе на 3+
Alex C: "The best hot chocolate in Boston" has been on my constantly growing list of things to try for a while now, and it was worthy of the hype. Absolutely decadent is the only way I can describe the white drinking chocolate. The Burdick cookies were a phenomenal accompaniment, too. The cashier was extremely nice and a joy to interact with.
권진주: 저랑 너무 잘맛는 L.A Burdick ~!!
Hank Cooper: I honestly believe that this is the best hot chocolate in Boston!
Nancy Schumm: Exquisite chocolatesLike works of art and SO delicious
Scott Hersey: Best hot chocolate ever.
A Grant: Smooth and delicious coffee and chocolate drinks. There is such a wide variety of desserts and coffee products to take home, you can plan on spending $25-50 a visit. Worth it! Arrive early in the day if you plan on finding a parking spot and a table.
RAY-CHUL: Ordered a croissant on 3/25 at around 4pm and was told they couldn’t warm it up…who serves cold cheese croissants!? Wasn’t impressed.
Fatima1 a: The best hot chocolate ever
Einar Lárusson: Awesome chocolate drinks and other chocolate products, go for extra whipped cream
Maggie: Went in on a Friday afternoon around 11:30-12:00 and the place looked busy, they had a bunch of tables to the left when you walked in the door. The tables were mostly filled up. They serve coffee and other drinks. Plus chocolate cake slices and of course chocolate candy’s. A very nice setting, clean, well kept. Cute little place. It’s bigger inside than it looks outside. I purchased a slice of chocolate mousse cake, a hot chocolate, cookie, and one chocolate truffle. Which was wrapped up in a little box with a bow for just about five dollars for the one piece of chocolate. So a bit on the pricey side. But the hot chocolate was so delicious like amazingly delicious!!!!!!! They also served you if you ordered to sit in there as opposed to to go. They give you a number sign for the table and bring out your order to you, very nice service.
Gabriel Bispo Xavier Da Silva: Great selection of yummy chocolates. The store has a huge variety of many different types of candies. These make for a fantastic gift. They even ship!

Phillips Chocolates: what do users think?
Joanne Collupy: Great experience. Delicious chocolates
Nick Gerrs: If you go here to buy chocolates and candy, better stop at the bank first to take a second mortgage on your house. Wow, this has to be the most expensive chocolate in the world. I’ll stick to my Hershey and snickers bars thanks.
Kristy Johnson: This place has some damn fine chocolate! Gotta say: impressed! It’s not the best chocolate I’ve ever had but it was delicious and I’d definitely come here again! Curious about the thick trading practices for the chocolate, as I usually choose my daily chocolate supply based on that, but so glad such good chocolate is right next door! And the selection is impressive! The place is stocked and quite large!!!! Sugar free and Vegan options too!!!
Kelly Lacey: I wish I would have looked at the ingredients prior to ordering. They use the cheapest, unhealthy ingredients....for example, the fudge is made from shortening and partially hydrogenated soybean and cottonseed oil! Those are all TERRIBLE for your health. For the price, you would think it would be made with real butter. Very disappointing, but I should have looked before purchasing
Kristine Murray: Delicious chocolates, REAL quality! Pre-packaged boxes, or choose your own. Other candies, too. These would make a wonderful gift, or a nice holiday treat. Expensive, but so good! Cute shop with pleasant staff, too.
Edna Hayes: Fabulous as usual
Jethro Ellison: Wonderful and nice
John Smith: Ok chocolates. Worst customer service. Are the chocolates really good? Maybe not. Can find the same taste elsewhere every where. Overpriced and people working here have no smile. A simple plastic or paper bag will also cost you money. PLEASE CHECK THE BILL WHEN LEAVING. THEY WILL CHARGE MORE.
Frank Connolly: Today, I was greeted by two very beautiful lovely ladies. One of which was very helpful in helping me in my selection. Now, the important part the chocolate. Phillips Candy House has the best chocolate around. You must experience this for yourself. Treat yourself to an amazing indulgence. Thank you to the young ladies who helped me today.
Bill Dougherty: An old school and very traditional Yankee chocolate shoppe, NOT like the hipster/ 'artisanal' foodie joints in the gentrified downtown areas. The clientele has been coming here for generations. This is the chocolate from your New England childhood.
Judith McCone-Ryan: Have gone here since I was a little girl. The smell of chocolate smacks you in the nose as soon as you open the door. It's hard to choose from the variety of items that are available. I was just going in for 1 lb of fudge and ended up with so much more. The fruit slices are delightful, the hash addicting, the fudge mouth watering. I try to stop in any time I'm in the area.
walid makouk: Friendly and clean
colin rowe: We came in with a very large order that we needed at the last minute. We needed to get gifts for 60 people. I walked into Phillips Chocolate hoping they could help us and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered 60 custom boxes of chocolates and the team jumped into action, with a unique sense of urgency that you just don't see everywhere.Olivia, Maria, Ngan, Kevin, and Caleb (sorry if I misspelled anyone's name!) all jumped into help and quickly formed a very efficient assembly line. All while still helping the customers that came in after me. These staff members were wonderful, and I highly recommend everyone go to Phillips for any holiday party or gathering you have coming up. However, I'm sure they would appreciate more advance notice than I gave them! Also, just as importantly, the chocolate was delicious!
Deborah Sandonato: Been going here since age 18, know 68yrs old and still go, from Duxbury to Dorchester to get the BEST CHOCOLATE ANYWHERE.
Jerry: Polite and friendly people work here. Chocolate is top shelf!
Erin MW: I could not be more obsessed with a chocolatier. I have not had better chocolate than this since I went to Europe 4+ years ago. They have perfected chocolate making and it is worth every penny. I especially love the milk chocolate covered cherries and the milk chocolate truffles. The customer service is also excellent. I only wish that they would open up a store in NY local to where I live! Next I plan to try their fudge and I plan to eat their milk chocolate cherries for as long as I am alive.
Steven Lahey: Bought sweet chocolate
Kirstie Miles: One stop Christmas shopping!!! Oprah was right about this place!
Chris McKenna: Best chocolate! Try the salted caramel turtles and the hash. ... And the toffee. If you're lucky enough to find the cookie, grab them!!
Kelly Holly: Best Chocolate in the World.

Au Chocolat: what do users think?
K. Rogers: The smell of fresh chocolates and truffles are so appealing to my nose and stomach that It is a must to make a purchase at such a fine chocolate establishment!
Nicole Conlin: Very unhappy with what I purchased. I bought a box of chocolates for $80 this Valentine’s Day and I am so disappointed.I look forward to purchasing these very year but this year I am sad to say that it tastes not better then the CVS brand. Usually the chocolate has a very rich and creamy flavor but this year there is just no zing to it. You can even see a noticeable difference in the past years (I have taken photos). In 2021 the chocolate was dark and this year it’s very milky. Safe to say that you are wasting your money if you buy from them.
Eamon Aghdasi: Excellent place that I have been going to regularly for gifts for the past few years.
Daniel Castillo: Best chocolate shop in all of Boston. Range of options is as wide as it is delicious - which is very. High quality. Excellent service. What more could you ask for?
Anna Johannes: Staff was super helpful. Great chocolate obviously. A bit expensive for sure. But a fun treat!
Jessica Grant: Au Chocolate has wonderful service and an outstanding selection of chocolates and truffles. If they offer you a recommendation, definitely listen to them! It's a great spot to get a treat to satisfy your own chocolate craving or for buying gifts. My favorites are the chocolate covered nougatine, chocolate toffee, and spicy chocolates drops (dark chocolate with cayenne pepper).
N N: Does nobody think it's weird that a lone candy shop in the middle of the financial district is still in business all these years let alone during the pandemic when everyone is working remotely? 👀 😬🤫
Elizabeth Rockwell: Excellent selection of fine chocolates! Friendly staff.
Benjamin S: A great place! There's a huge choice of chocolates of all kinds!Really recommended!
Christian Terrio: Friendly staff, impressive selection despite the small space! Prices are what you would expect for a nice chocolate shop in the heart of the financial district. Will definitely be picking out some chocolates for Valentine's day coming up!
Caroline Olsen: Such a cute store and very friendly staff!
Shawn Preston: Amazing!
Sarah Roemer: Incredible selection, great service, and very informed staff. Picked up a sugar free set and there were 13 varieties in stock. Would highly recommend!
Emile P: Best place for breaks from work
Steve Fuller: Great quality chocolate, really helpful and friendly service. Happy to have this place a just a few doors away from my office.
Sean Padden: My go to chocolate spot. If you're in the area you should really stop here. They have this piece I believe it's called the "Diane" and it's one of the things that has made me go back every time after eating it. Very friendly staff, not open on Sunday.
Tareq Afaneh: Too expensive. I don't recommend for gifts
Lucas Servideo: Great atmosphere and knowledgeable staff to help you pick out the right gift.
Ken Boostrom: Au Cocolat is the chocolate and candy store in Boston. The selection of caramel and double chocolate treats is amazing. You purchase the chocolate by the pound or purchase a presorted bag candy. The people that work there are the sweetest people you can meet.
Tashi Lhamu: Great place. Amazing customer service. Excellent quality. Wonderful selection. Would highly recommend.
Michael: Great store, and service!!

The chocolate they use is so smooth and their bonbons and confections are creative and perfect versions of anything you can imagine: just think of your favourite candy bar, ball game snack, caramel confection, peanut butter disk - this will be the best version you have ever had.
Michael Nathan: I am repeatedly astonished at how good EH chocolates are. I would list all my favorites but there are too many! That being said, the pecan caramel clusters are particularly universally liked in my family.
Kristina Brunelle: There are, quite simply, no chocolates out there that can compare to EHChocolatier's chocolates. I frequently give them as "thank you's" to personal and professional contacts and I frequently get effusive missives back, thanking me in return for the glorious chocolates! Try them - you will be delighted!
Michele Anderson: I live in New Jersey but only order chocolate from EH Chicolatier. Love their chocolate there is no better. It’s always fresh and made with love

I got the dark hot chocolate 70% and it was so enjoyable. One of those drinks where each sip is to be cherished. The owner and his employee were so friendly and engaged me in conversation. I could tell they really believed and were passionate about the product. It was nice to receive a small gift also. Thank you so much and will definitely stop back especially for the hot chocolate. Lindt Chocolate Shop: what do users think?
Ahmad Jamal: First time trying them in Boston. The candy variety can’t be found here n stores, might be a little pricey but totally worth checking out.
Mikaelly Paula Oshea: I would give 5 stars ⭐️ for the ice cream BUT SERVICE IS VERY BAD , this is the second time I drive 40 min just to have ice cream because I live in Quincy and traffic is awful but is always busy and always just one person working in there and they don’t I was standing on line for over 10 min waiting to buy ice cream and the girl that was working in there said that she had no TIME to make ice cream because was too busy!!! I mean she was pretty rude and didn’t care that I was in line waiting the hole time and I asked like is the machine broke? She was like no is not I’m just too busy to make ice cream. Seriously 😳
Naiana de S. Nascimento: Was just there, they are having good deals, and the clerks was very helpful & sweet.
Tiffany Pelton: Amazing deals going on right now. Such friendly associates. Love this store. Got easter bunnies for the kiddos, including a white one.
