Emily Naphtal: Partway through my experience and disappointed. Some of my drapes should have been installed ages ago but first they didn’t take the right measurements, then producing and shipping took way longer than they told me when I bought them. Then they canceled my appointment day of and are making me wait 3 weeks for another one. Meanwhile I have to live with these massive packages in my main living space waiting for installation. Truly an awful experience. 2 stars because the shades they have installed look good so far - besides them placing the control in the wrong side of the window in 2 cases.
ODM: Horrible experience. Multiple remeasures had to be done. First order came with a wrong print and overall horrible look. Company apologized and offered to remake using a different fabric and style. I accepted remake and used renderings they made to pick a different print/style. Well, second time the style was wrong, the rendering color didn’t match the fabric. I demanded refund - company refused to issue. They offered a re-make #3 for which they are trying to change me now again. What a scam!

However, it takes a dedicated and astute representative to assist the customer in determining the right design and fabric for a home.Dan Ambrose, Shade store representative at the Boston Design Center, has been working with my husband and me for the past couple of years to create just the right look in both our Boston apartment and our CT home. One by one, I am replacing every window treatment and I’m enjoying each moment. It takes me time to weigh the options for fabrics and styles but each piece that I purchase adds a positive impact on my homes.Dan has been patient and relentless in assisting me to make sure that all my shades and drapes are done perfectly. He has a lot of unique ideas for designing window treatments and his advice has always enabled me to make the right decisions. Plus, it’s fun “working on windows” with Dan. Dan is our “go-to” guy and he makes it pleasurable to spend money!

Julia Pei: A terrible experience that is still not over. Very difficult to get in touch with - took me multiple days after speaking with the design consultants to get a quote that they said they’d send me “in a couple minutes”. The installation was crooked and was told they needed to come out and remeasure. Then they disappeared yet again. Spoke with customer care multiple times who assured me someone would call me “today” and then again disappeared. My crooked shades still haven’t been fixed and it’s been over a month. Truly a nightmare experience for how expensive these shades are.

He had some really great unique ideas from both a functional and design perspective. The installation guys were also wonderful, very professional and clean! I'm not done, still one room to go, and will call Dan again.

The selection of styles of treatments and fabrics are the best. Marcello and Dan's knowledge and customer service is greatly appreciated. The install teams that they send to my client's homes are also top notch - they show up when they are scheduled, friendly, efficient with their work and clean. I would highly recommend working with Marcello, Dan and the entire Shade Store Newbury Street Team!
Zubeda Khan: If 0 stars could be given, I would. Hands down the worst company to work with. First set of blinds were incorrect and install was done by an extremely rude technician. When told the blinds were wrong, was told we would get the proper ones for a selected date before grand opening. After another month wait, got a phone call days before delivery, pushing the date out further. Not only do they not tell customers when shades are coming late in a timely manner, they also point fingers from customer service to design consultants and act like they have no idea what is going on . NIGHTMARE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH OR ANSWERS, VERY RUDE, NEVER ORDER FROM THEM, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.

Alex N: Disappointing experience. First set of shades were delivered broken so we had to wait all over again. Second set of shades were finally delivered but with stains on multiple sections of the fabric, wrong length (supposed to be 3 inches from top of ceiling), and no blackout liner (when we purchased and ordered it). On top of that, the hardware is not even remotely hidden. Overall a scam for the price paid. Stay away as they clearly have severe production issues.
Thomas Barry: My salesperson was snobby and standoffish. I came in for a scheduled in-person appointment and was basically rushed through the process. I was talked down to because I didn’t know the difference between a roman shade vs. a roller blind. I asked for several quotes via email and never received any follow up. I would not recommend this store and will never return.
Kathleen DeBlois: Excellent customer service. Marcelo is the best - helped me with my original slider drapery, cornices and with a replacement drapery. Highly recommend.

Nevertheless, this could have been avoided if the sale provided correct information and proper advice at first place.--I originally rated this four stars as the quality of product is good. Not anymore since I ordered a "Privacy + Interlining" drapery. The representative told me that such lining is going to darken the room, but it doesn't at all. This is very unacceptable for such a luxury or even over-priced brand.

Benjamin Robbins: Very mixed experience. I went with the luxury option and had six roman with an electronic raising/lowering system with professional installation. So far 5/6 work great. However, within 6 months it became clear that one of the shades clearly wasn't working properly. Given the lifetime warranty, I reached out for support. They didn't respond after multiple attempts to get in touch. After several followups they responded and sent someone to come and fix the shade. After the repair it worked for about 2 weeks, then the same issue came back. No response to my first request for a repair, so now I'm again sending a followup to try to get someone to help fix the shade...

Christine Tauras: Just had Stoneside install my shades, they look amazing! Michelle walked me through the entire process and made some great suggestions! It’s a huge investment but worth it. They came in much faster than expected and were patient when I had to reschedule multiple times. Tommy was extremely professional and measured the windows exactly, full install took about 1.5 hours and they look perfect.

Michelle Tallman: I recently purchased new blinds and shades for my whole house from the Blinds To Go in Everett, MA. We’ve used Blinds To Go before for our dining room shade, and deck blinds, and had good luck. I must say the whole experience from choosing the blinds to installation went very smoothly, and my blinds look beautiful! Our sales person, John wasn’t pushy at all. I really appreciated him being not pushy as it gave me a chance to ask questions, think ideas through, and feel confident that he was giving us his honest opinion. He was pleasant and responsive with my calls for questions. Ultimately, we ended up with the look and price point that met our needs. Since we were doing the whole house, we splurged for measurement, and installation by their professionals. It was a few hundred dollars extra for 14 windows, but it ended up being well worth it! The windows were measured correctly, and the installation took him about an hour. This probably would have taken my husband far longer. They were very professional about communicating, who is coming and when, and arriving on time. So far, very happy with my window treatments. Just need get the wrinkles out of my Roman shades.

shashiadsul: Colors of shades are mismatched. In bedrooms shades delivered are not what we ordered..color is different and are not blackout as ordered. Store person is not ready to accept its a mistake on their part and extremely rude in email communication. Not yet confirmed what is the correction planned. Extremely disappointed.

I had to ask for assistance but once I got it, he wes very helpful.Although I told them I would pick up the 1st half of the order when they came in, I was not notified of their arrival. Then when the 2nd half of the order came in, they didn't notify me again. I was told because I had picked up the 1st half it didn't generate a computer call. That should be easy fix.I am however, now that my blinds are hung. Very satified with my purchase. They fit perfectly, and were easy to install.

maureen costantino: I placed an order in person at the end of September and was told it would take possibly 8 weeks. After 12 weeks I sent an email but got no response so then I called and spoke to a man. He said my order was on hold because they had called me multiple times and left messages but did not hear back from me. Apparently they needed a confirmation for the order . I explained to him that I never received any message from store at all. If a message was left, it was left at wrong number. He then said he was going to see if he could expedite my order which he indeed did do. He provided great service. I still don’t understand the part about a confirmation needed because I placed the order and paid for half of it at the time so that is confusing to me. Best, Maureen Costantino
