Lisa Pero: I can't even begin to explain the amazing and welcoming energy you feel when walking into this store. I had walked into many already over the weekend I spent in Salem but this was the only one I felt connected with. The gentleman working very kindly greeted every guest with a welcome and an explanation of their no cell phone policy. As a Native American this policy was not at all bothersome because many native tribes believe that taking pictures takes a piece of your soul. I don't know if this is the reason for the policy but the store had many overlaps to traditional Native spirituality with the beautiful smudge sticks and horns. I ended up purchasing 3 books that I am looking forward to reading as well as a beautiful deer antler ring for my husband. As soon as we saw the ring we both felt very drawn to it and knew it was the right purchase. The store is very small so I can only imagine how tight it would feel during October because we went very soon after they opened and it was already quite busy. Usually that amount of people in a small space would make me very anxious but as I said previously the energy in the store was so calming I never felt that once. The person working was moving around the store and offering his insight to anyone who needed it, shopping baskets to those who hadn't grabbed one. There is no question we will be returning to this store in the near future.

Esther Paik: UPDATE: After being informed, I know now that sage (which is sold at this store) is culturally appropriated in its usage and have been a part of Indigenous culture and rituals for centuries. Indigenous tribes have been speaking out asking to stop using this herb as it is becoming overharvested and is sacred to them. If you visit this store, please do not purchase sage or (if they have it) palo santo! You can use incense instead for smoke cleansing, and I'm sure there are many other methods that are more environmentally friendly and non-culturally appropriative :)Wonderful little shop featuring a wide selection of crystals, jewelry, incense, tarot decks, and more. Workers are always super helpful and patient. There's also birds, a cat, and a dog who occasionally roam around. Crystals may seem inexpensive on its own but the total usually ends up a lot more expensive than you may think, so take care to keep track of the prices if that's a concern for you. Also, the store is very small and it can get very cramped very quickly, and some days can get very busy so be aware of that. Otherwise, I love this store and will definitely be a frequent visitor. The environment here is very warm and welcoming 3

Sarah Martinez: My niece (16) and I wanted to do something special and decided to book a reading with Julie A Randazzo. I had not read anything about an age limitation on the site, and did not think it would be an issue as she was with an adult.Upon arrival, we waiting a bit for our reader to be ready. My niece decided to go back first, and immediately the vibe was way off. She seemed skeptical and asked her age, and I said she was 16. She went back with Julie, and after 5 minutes she comes back and says "We just aren't connecting, I would like to refund her". I was taken aback, and asked if something was wrong, and then Julie immediately began questioning her age again and said in a pushy way "Is this girl 14? How old is she?" I again said she is 16 years old, and was becoming VERY uncomfortable in the middle of this conversation (what 16 year old wants to be asked if she is 14 after an awkward visit?). She repeated she won't continue with the reading, and I asked to refund both of us as we meant to do it together. She said ok and we went to the front desk to process the refund, as Julie hung back in the background STARING at us?Upon leaving, my niece broke down in tears, and shared that she felt very judged during the reading. She did know realize she should have questions prepared, and when she said she did not have questions, Julie pulled cards and asked questions. In the 5 minutes it was discussed that my niece is not in school (she is homeschooled and was considering getting her GED.) Julie says "Why would you want to do that??". This was one of several very rude and judgemental comments to put on a 16 year old girl. As my niece was living with me at this time, she also pressured her to consider how her mother was feeling about the situation, and if she was "sad about it" when she pulled a mental health card.The entire thing was very disturbing and we left feeling terrible, and anxious about the entire thing between the judgements, and the 20 questions/attack over her "actual age".DO NOT recommend seeing this person, esp as a younger person.
William Amburn: I felt such positive energy upon entering this place. I really wanted the nightmare protection bottle for my wife. Maybe next visit or online. Left with more then just a crystal ball. I left feeling uplifted and positive charged. I returned 4 times during our visit to Salem. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Queen Of Wands: Hi ! Myself and my daughter both had a reading with Edward Nov 19. First let me say I have been a reader for 45 years and a previous owner of a spiritual store in Connecticut . I went first with Edward , I could see he was struggling with giving a reading and when I told him I was also a reader he became annoyed . By the end of the reading I realized I had wasted $40.my daughter (24) went next . When she came out of the reading she was upset . It seemed Because Edward disliked me he took it out on my daughter during her reading . He told her I hold her back in life and if she didn’t move away out of state she would also have health problems . He also told her she would never find love again because of me . I would ruin everything in her life . That was just a few things ! There was more negativity .Thankfully my daughter is a confident intelligent young woman who has a masters degree along with a job at a local university . I guess I didn’t hold her back too badly .Like I said I pride myself on my authenticy as a reader and would never never deliver messages like he did to anyone. That is beyond irresponsible . As a former store owner I was always diligent in who read in my store , I was smart enough to know reputation is everything . I also know the impact a reading can have on someone good or bad. Harm none .I have been to your store several times I had readings with heather who I adore as does my daughter . She is not only gifted but she is authentic as well. So this was very unexpected .We contemplated coming back for a refund but we figured we take it with a grain of salt , chalk it up to life and move on .Shame on him to give a reading to someone who put their trust in him . Brandee Collier: The store itself was absolutely amazing and dare I day it...."enchanting." Even the front of the shop staff were absolutely wonderful! I wish I had left it at that and walked out. However, I decided to ha e some fun and do a psychic reading. As a skeptic, but a person who has friends that identify as witches, and friends who do amazing readings, my partner told me not to do it. But "when in Rome."Mark was the person doing my reading. Within the first 5 mins of a 30 minute session I was ready to go but since I paid, I figured I see it through. Wrong choice. Filled with assumptions based on racial profiling, he at one point channeled an older woman, presumably black, stated waving his hands, saying "hallelujah" in what he associated with being Baptist and asked if I had an older woman that passed that was religious. With a dead pan faced I said no. My grandmother (which anyone could have naturally guesses I had and had passed) was the furthest thing away from a religious person. And no one in my family was Baptist.I continued on in amusement feeding him somethings because I felt bad for him, but there were many moments in the reading where he just plucked things out of the air based of who he assumed I was. It was a terrible "reading" that left a bad taste in my mouth for people who probably genuinely come to him looking for answers. I'm not sure if he was high but the racial antics weren't amusing.Again, the store itself was beautiful, great shop. I'd stay away from these "physics" . At least Mark. Wasn't sure if he was high during the reading ( coming from Washington State I really don't care) but maybe dial it back during the readings.

They brought out a binder and went through all the different stones that I was looking at and told me what they protect you from. Such wonderful genuine staff, that really just made my trip! :)

Nicholas Serrano: Buyer Beware! Items in this shop are overpriced. We went this week to do some shopping and were interested in a small pendant. When we asked her to see it, she told us it was priced at $120, then "because it's a real sapphire" $125, "but I can knock it down to $112". We passed and actually went with a small ring for $45, "but that tag should say $60, but oh well". After getting back to the hotel, we went looking for other sellers of these same items and all other sellers had them priced at HALF the cost. The pendant was also a lab created sapphire which is cheaper than an authentic one. Overall, go to this place to look, but buy what you want online, not here.
Wouldn't You Like To Know: I had a bad experience with the woman, who I believe runs the place, I truly believe she is one the most smug patronizing naive people I ever had the displeasure of meeting. However as an Asatruar I loved a lot of the Norse related things there, but I highly don't recommend talking to that woman let alone getting a reading from her.
Heather Hays: My friend and I went here on our recent trip to Salem. Had to wear a mask ok im fine with that they may be at a health risk. Here is my issue and it is partly on myself for not knowing more but when someone comes in and you tell them you are selling them a clear crystal ball then sell them a clear crystal ball. Upon coming home my "crystal" ball is now purple no longer clear. Why is this??? After reaching out to some witchy friends and doing some research I find out I was sold a K9 photography ball. Now can it still be used for scrying possibly im still researching but to know and then not inform your customers of this specific information in my eyes is an out right lie.Now my friend found a necklace that called to her and she loves it however sadly this is my review and my advice for people planning on spending their money.... DONT there are much better shops with better ethics. And for the shop owner maybe you should list your store as both a metaphysical shop and a photography accessory shop. You know to be honest with people.

Mathias Teulong: She truly stunned me. It was an absolutely bizarre experience, and I had no idea how accurate her interpretation of me would be. I heartily endorse it. Since I didn't know if they were good, I only got the basic reading the first time. However, the next time, I would absolutely pay $50 to have them give me my complete life narrative. Andrea West: I went here b/c my friend had a *great* reading with Curtis. I scheduled a reading with Chinoa because of her availability on this particular day. I was very disappointed with my reading. Many things that she said were *extremely* generic and any specifics that she pointed out were *so* far off. I found myself yessing her to be polite. This being said, she was very funny. I just wish I didn't have to pay $70 for my 30 minutes with her. I also left a tip (which I didn't really want to do) b/c the signs posted in the rooms said to tip your psychic. I also didn't like to watch the kitchen timer that she had on (right in front of me on the table). I understand the need to be conscious of the fact that there are appointments to uphold but it made me feel like I was just a number.I was going to be late for my meeting due to traffic and the receptionist couldn't have been any nicer. He did all that he could to fit me in and I really appreciated that. Tracie: I had a reading with Alex and so far the reading he gave for my boyfriend was pretty accurate. The reading about the legal stuff was scaring and I am praying over that because recently my son got into a little trouble. It wasn't too private but I guess it is ok. He was accurate about how my dad felt about me. So I have to say Alex is not God but people are born with special intuitive gifts so I will watch to see if his other predictions will come to light.
Barbara Olney: This was the worst experience of my life! I have been to many different readers, some good some bad but this place was the pits! It was dirty, the people (readers) were not only rude but wrong. He read me as a single mom with a young son. I have been married 25 years and my children are grown. Melissa Rosa: We waited in a line to get in, due to the limited amount of people allowed in at one time. You do have to wear a mask and hand sanitize before you are allowed in. Staff was so friendly and helpful! They had lots of gifts to choose from. We ended up leaving with some bath salts.

She points downwards….Look, there’s some hand sanitizer….you must squirt it on both hands rubbing it in circular motions 23 times, on the palms and the top of your hands. DONT FORGET TO GET IT BETWEEN YOUR FINGERS!Then she gets a bit upbeat for a second and offers us a reading. Ummmm no thanks. The energy here is caca!No one was in the store, I wonder why. Wound up going to many lovely stores that have moved on from the fear-mongering and wound up spending a lot of money, I felt like coming back and showing her my bags, like Vivienne did in Pretty woman when she wasn’t allowed to shop. The money could of all been yours, Karen!

Lucas Chamberlain: By far the best shop in Salem. Authentic , and I find it comforting they take masking and the pandemic seriously . I feel safer shopping there because of the hard stance they take on their health and safety guidelines. While shopping around I heard some of the abuse these kids take at the door simply for enforcing rules. My hat goes off to the owner for picking great staff and to the knowledgeable and friendly shop keeper Heather as they showed grace under pressure. Tobias was also warm , knowledgeable and helpful. I can honestly say the Poor reviews are all from people who don’t want to be held accountable for their own actions. I can’t wait to go back !
Polish Dog Mom: Very nice store. They have a variety of crystals, candles, dried flowers, offering bowls etc. There were a few "fun" touristy items as well. We enjoyed looking around and bought a few things.The stuff was friendly. The employee at the door asked politely that we wear our mask and wear it correctly before we entered, we were also asked to you hand sanitizer upon entering. Standard practice for most places that value human health. Not a big deal.I would recommend going here rather than a witchy souvenir store.
Chris Martens: I went to nearly a dozen of Salem’s witchcraft supply stores, and this was the only one with a strong masking policy. I’m so glad they’re still taking the pandemic seriously and creating a safe environment for disabled/chronically ill patrons. Furthermore, the goods they sold were very high quality and a beautiful selection.
V L: This place has horrific customer service. As stated in other reviews, they have very strict COVID guidelines which they state on their website, in confirmation emails, and in person when you arrive. I completely understand that. As such, I arrived in an N-95 mask and had my proof of vaccination ready. The woman working (I didn’t get her name) barked the COVID protocols at me in a threatening way as if I’d already broken all the rules. Someone showed up wanting to shop but didn’t have a mask, and she rudely informed them they didn’t have masks to hand out (I think if your rules are that strict, you should have masks available for customers and that there’s a kind way to say you don’t have masks, but I digress). I was late to my appointment, which I acknowledged. She asked the spiritual advisor if she’d still be able to see me and the answer was no. Fine, I understand. I asked if I could apply the payment to a rescheduled appointment and she also said no even though it doesn’t state this on their website or emails. I understand that as well - I know they’d planned for me to come, and it’s my fault I was late. But she was extremely rude and defensive in explaining this to me, passive aggressively stating she went above and beyond by asking the advisor if she could fit me in. I don’t think that’s above and beyond - I think any reasonable person working in customer service would see what they can do to accommodate customers and kindly and politely explain what is/isn’t possible without getting an attitude. Don’t just take my word for it - see the other reviews. I will say that Paige (one of the advisors) is absolutely WONDERFUL, I have seen her a few times, but I would recommend booking her through other means. I’m not sure what has happened at The Cauldron Black to make them so defensive with customers as if they’re expecting you to rip your mask off and throw a tantrum, but it’s insulting to be treated like an annoying burden instead of a paying customer.
Southern Rationalist: I have visited this shop twice, and both times it has been a treat. My most recent visit was in a private shopping session I booked. I arrived early, and the clerk let me begin early. Since my first visit, their supply of books has grown, and I was delightfully surprised at the quality and quantity of medieval grimoires they carry. The clerk was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. My only regret with my visit was that I had no way to bring more home with me, as much as I wanted to. I hope to visit again in the future.
Julie Zeiler: Absolute GEM! The shop beautifully laid out but had a lot of high-quality merchandise you won’t find in other Salem shops. They carry things you will find elsewhere but not for a better price. My husband found an out of print rare book, and I treated myself to a gorgeous 14K Vermeil Goddess necklace (they have silver items too!) We also got some incense, oils, and other fun stuff for workings & the home. When I burned the incense sticks, I was blown away by the quality and scent, very-rich & slow-burning. I'm relieved we can reorder the sticks online since we’ll blow through these packs before returning. The shopkeepers were really lovely and took safety standards seriously which will bother some folks but I was grateful, made it easier to shop with fewer people crowded around you. Not as easy to smell things like candles and incense through your mask, but you can always ask about scents or take a chance as we did. Honestly, it made most shops pale by comparison, so I'm glad we came here earlier in our trip.
Becky S: I'm more of a "Light of the Angels" lightworker rather than darker or more grounded energy arts, but this shop is well stocked and the staff were nice. They are being careful of covid still - masks are required, and the front door is locked, you knock and someone greets you and asks you to use sanitizer and wear a mask. Also for a tarot card reading I had to show proof of vaccination. O really it was a great visit and reading, and we bought several items. Was better than the Pentagram store for us.
