North End Yoga Llc: what do users think?
Audrey J: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityAmazing space and great class, thank you Anna! I’ll be back!
Samantha Murphy: North End Yoga is my favorite yoga studio in Boston. Between the location, the fantastic instructors, and the beautiful space, it really feels like an oasis in a beautiful part of the city. I started coming here before COVID, and have recently felt comfortable coming back to studios, and this place has stayed consistently clean and well managed! I am so happy to be back.
Alexandra Gabriel: Beautiful studio even more beautiful practice!
Amy Qiu: conveniently located and offers a variety of classes
Leah Olverd: Kind, friendly staff and a great teacher. Disappointed that there was no music/sound other than the man grunting behind me and the honking outside.
Laura Nelson: Great instructors and beautiful studio!!
Annette Cheng: Coming to Ame and Ben’s classes at North End Yoga these past two years had significantly improved my mood and overall well-being. I can’t recommend north end yoga enough.I was skeptical of yoga in the beginning because I didn’t subscribe to the whole spirituality part of it; however, both Ame and Ben’s style of direct prompts really worked for me. Shuli is also amazing if you want a butt-kicking. Everyone has a slightly different style and there’s something for everyone here. Here, you’ll find men and women who swan dived straight off a lululemon catalogue and other who are just starting to be able to reach their toes. I’ve always felt comfortable here, regardless of my ability/mood/how I feel about my body that day. All the teachers are mindful of the range of abilities and offer variations of poses, which gives me something to strive towards. All in all, I am very grateful for the wonderful folks at North End Yoga.
Christen Boyles: Flew in from out of state with a heavy backpack to lug around for 6 hours. Took a 9:30 am class and (Julie I think?!?) was so accommodating and helped me out when I had hours to spend in the city alone. Class was beautiful and really helped me loosen up after getting not enough sleep and flying in just an hour earlier. Not to mention it is a BEAUTIFUL studio with showers complete with body wash, shampoo and conditioner. All in historic old north in a beautiful old building. Done raving, but such an awesome experience 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Delphine Cherewick: The instructors are great and I love the space. It’s a very nice studio.
Dmytro Florov: Very cozy yoga studio with interesting programs..
Megan Kelley Marina: Incredible studio, brilliant teachers, beautiful space!
Linn Kay: The studio is warm and smells like incense. It's in a convenient location in the North End, just 5 minutes walk from the Haymarket t-stop. There are lots of great places to grab a cup of coffee or salad after yoga nearby as well. They have very nice bathrooms with showers if you need to rinse off before heading out. When you arrive, you're greeted cheerfully and Brittany, one of the pilates teachers, makes an effort to learn names when she's working the desk. The teachers are positive, exceptionally knowledgeable and teach creative sequences so you always feel like you're building to a new pose. Yoga never feels boring here. They have a great selection of classes from relaxing Ananda, to strict Ashtanga, to fun and challenging Vinyasa. Ame teaches a Deepen Your Practice class that is amazing and small and you can learn a lot about correct alignment as well as how to get into challenging poses. She's very funny and makes you feel at home. She also delves into more "basic" poses like chataranga to change your perspective about the pose and show you little things that most people do wrong, so you can elevate your yoga practice and keep away from injuries in other classes with less experienced teachers because you know the pitfalls. Overall, amazing yoga studio!
Lauriston Segerson: My first visit to North End Yoga - When I arrived this morning for the 6:30am class, I mentioned it was my first time and excited. The receptionist was not friendly and told me to wait because the class was full. Once the class started, the teacher came out and told her there was one more spot and I could squeeze in, but the receptionist still told me I could not join the class. Came back to my hotel feeling very disappointed, considering I have read such positive reviews.

Beacon Hill Yoga: what do users think?
Danielle W: Surprised to hear some of the negative reviews, as I’ve only had positive experiences here. I pay through class pass and go about 1-2 times a week. Casandra and Shannon are wonderful instructors. The space can be on the cooler side sometimes (which is actually my preference), but I’ve noticed lately they’ll turn on a couple of the heaters from hot yoga, which helps keep it warmer.Always clean and it had a beautiful view of some of the cool MGH buildings across the way - I love it!
Caroline: Beautiful, immaculate, welcoming space with friendly, expert instructors. Beacon Hill is so lucky to have this gem!
Rose Corcoran: I moved to Beacon Hill in August and have been coming here as much as I can ever since taking my first class - every instructor is so amazing and I love my experience every time!!! I feel so welcome and the classes are challenging yet relaxing - I recommend this place to everyone and love how with each class, I feel myself improving. :)
Deirdre Parsons: I have been going here for a handful of yoga sessions and I love it! Super friendly staff, great yoga sessions. This is a warm, unpretentious, welcoming spot for anyone new to yoga or for those experienced yogis looking to deepen their practice.
Riki Rosenthal: Took Meredith’s class on Friday and it was amazing! She’s such a gifted teacher. The studios is also really beautiful. Def recommend!
Samantha Pepe: This is the best yoga studio in Boston!
Anna Rombe-Shoov: Best in Boston. Warm cozy space. Excellent, fun teachers
Laurie Borstelmann: Small but clean and Natalie is a great teacher!
Al Torabi: For starters it was a freezing cold Friday night and I just needed to get away from the reality of work and traffic so Yoga was going to be my gateway to much needed zen.Studio was clean and convenient to get to - just a stones throw away from MGH.Vinyasa with Jenn was on the docket and luckily had space for a late add.Jenn was very welcoming and friendly, made you feel like you were a regular right when you walked in. Class started exactly where I needed it, controlling breathing and clearing the mind. Progression of flow was great, three main flows that seemed to naturally build on one another and inline with music. Shavasana closed out the class and was the perfect reset.Would definitely take a class with Jenn again.
Zoe DeStories: Lovely little studio! I'm new to yoga but felt welcomed and was able to follow along. The studio is quite small (fits a class of 6 people!) and was well-heated.
Emi Michaud Weinstock: I was disappointed and frustrated after a Restore class- those things do NOT belong together. The class name was Flow & Restore. There was exactly 1.5 minutes of flow. We did 1 or 2 downward dogs. The rest was all Restore. I appreciate Restore and all it can do for you and take those classes regularly but I don’t like being misled. Be honest about the class. Also there is so much construction happening around the neighborhood in a tiny studio with windows it was REALLY difficult to get my Restore on even when I was trying to get in that place. Finally, I was so damn cold even after I put my hoody on. Again instead of focusing on my Restoration I was left distracted and cold. The review is 2 stars because the instructor was good. If it was simply a Restore class it would’ve been fine but no amount of instruction could help with the environment and the misleading title.
Maria Iannuccillo: Take Helen's class on Tuesday at 5 pm. 100% worth your time and Helen is a wonderful instructor.
Paulina Podgorska: Clean studio, good teachers, good workouts. Space is too small for busy classes (8+). Not much time is given to final relaxation period in most classes.
Omar Wahid: The instructors are very kind and make the class interesting to multiple skill levels. The space can get a bit tight depending on class time. Their new customer trial is a great value.
Aska: I went to this studio for more than one year. Instructors are very friendly, and they try to memorize each student’s name. The classes are well organized, and I was able to take cardio exercise to relaxing yoga classes at one studio. You can actually get rid of your gym membership when you go to this studio. Highly recommended! :)
Hilary Moore: Love the barre classes! Great timing and great workouts, very clean studio.
Becka Simon: Always too crowded and not a large variety of classes. I hate looking up at the camera in the studio that's always on while practicing yoga. It's distracting and invasive to see the red light from it and know I'm being recorded.

Radiant Yoga Boston: what do users think?
Alexandra Orsino: Be careful if you sign up for a membership here. Unless you email the company, and you have to email them because they never pick up the phone, the same day that you get billed, you will automatically be billed for their next cycle as well per their 30 day cancelation policy. This is the most ridiculous policy I've ever seen in a studio. There are much better studios in the area.
Alina Sushko: Hi ! My name is Alina. I’am a Yoga Instructor at Radiant studio. I’ve been blessed by working in such a warm and beautiful studio. The team always very supportive ! Thank you for everything! Happy to be a part of this community!
Melissa Pennington: Such a warm and welcoming space! Great variety of classes from slow and chilled to energy building.
Maria Modesto: Radiant is my yogi home! I felt so welcomed when I first met the owner and I've stayed with the studio ever since. Its such a open and accepting space, with no judgements! just come as you are with all or nothing. Its simply the best in Southie
Stephanie Hao: Radiant yoga is a very special studio located in Southie that truly embodies inclusivity within yoga. Chanel, the owner, and her staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. I love the sense of community within the studio and the diversity in teaching styles and class offerings. From prenatal yoga to yin yoga and power flows, you can find them all here. The studio genuinely strives to make yoga accessible to everyone from all walks of life.
Athena Desai: Lots of love and community at Radiant - a beautiful physical space, for when we all return to that, but online still keeping it together with friends from all corners of the world, wonderful vibrant teachers, fun and mellow styles that teach me so much about all the forms of yoga.
Gabrielle Figueiredo: The space and people are warm and welcoming. It is a lovely studio with a great sense of community, like you dont find elsewhere. The teachers are great and have such a mentor to look up to. They are also offering online classes which is great!
bbabs31: Radiant yoga studio is a very warm and welcoming community. I am new to yoga and feel very comfortable taking the classes and talking with the instructors! You walk into the studio greeted with soft lighting and relaxing music that would put anyone at ease. The space itself is super unique ! Would definitely recommend !
Courtney Subatis: I absolutely LOVE RYB!! I’ve taken classes there for a few years now (through 2 pregnancies) and have truly enjoyed every single one. The instructors are knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming plus the atmosphere is super cool and perfect for yoga!
Katherine Stockton: Knowledgeable staff and welcoming community. I highly recommend.
Rebecca Hall: When I started attending Radiant yoga I had, maybe, been to 3 yoga classes prior. I was hooked after my first class. I might not have know what the heck I was doing but I had this amazing support from the team, the teachers, and the community there. I absolutely love Radiant. The teachers are all amazing and thoughtful. It is in the basement of The Distillery that has a bunch of artist spaces. You meander down the hall with art all around you before you end up at the studio. It is just one piece of the incredible experience I have had at Radiant. If you are experienced or inexperienced this is a wonderful studio to practice at. Try it. Trust me.
Danielle Valle Gilchrist: Radiant is quickly becoming by favorite studio in Boston. The classes are the right level of challenging, the studio is beautiful and the community is unbelievably supportive. I especially recommend Kristine's restorative classes!
samantha russo: October marks 6 months I've been practicing with Radiant Yoga. Not only did they welcome me with open arms on my very first day, they helped me rediscover myself with wise and kind teachers, make friends (which; let's face it, is very hard as a busy adult) and find a sense of community in a new city. The energy in the studio is palpable and warm, they often host events and workshops that are beneficial to a wide variety of people and practices. I look forward to every class I sign up for and leave feeling relaxed, smiling and breathing peacefully. Please go visit and experience the zen for yourself!
Sarah McInturff: Radiant Yoga Boston is a hidden gem in Southie. Each instructor has their own way of welcoming you and making you feel like you’re a part of the RYB community from day one. No matter your experience level, there’s never any judgement or expectations for what you bring to your mat each class. I’m a newbie to the practice and have only felt comfortable and supported by all. Each time I visit, I always leave smiling!
Valerie Cekovsky: Radiant Yoga is an amazing studio in the heart of Southie. It is the perfect retreat for those who are looking for a real home-grown yoga studio. Chanel, the owner, welcomes you with open arms every time you arrive. The instructors and classes are varied so everyone can find something they like. I have continued to go back to them year after year, almost 5 years in the making, because I feel such a sense of community with them. Bonus, I always feel better after I leave. Get to a class, you won’t be disappointed!
Elena Taurasi: The community at Radiant is so warm and welcoming – it feels like coming home! The Studio itself is in a cool, old building and the soul of the space speaks before you even get inside. There is always a happy, fun and upbeat vibe at Radiant. The variety of classes and quality of teachers complement each other and make it possible to get all your yoga wants and needs in one place. It’s clear that everyone on staff is passionate about yoga beyond the physical practice, which inspires a truly loving and supportive atmosphere for all levels of students to explore and grow their practice. The natural comfort of the community makes it easy for all types of yogis to enjoy the ‘bigger picture’ that Yoga offers – and Radiant really offers it all! 3 3 3 Love!
Jessica Kline: I LOVE Radiant! I started practicing just 9 months ago and was definitely hesitant at first - the 'yoga' you see on social media is intimidating and I didn't want to feel that way during classes. The teachers are fantastic, the studio atmosphere is relaxing, and there are a variety of classes to choose from to best fit your schedule and style.
Ramsay Brasza: The Radiant Yoga studio and community has been one of my favorite parts of moving to South Boston about a year and a half ago. I have been to many studios in the past where the mat boxes are drawn out on the floor and everyone files in, puts their mat inside the lines, takes class and then leaves. Radiant Yoga is so much more than that with a loving and caring group of teachers and students that make me truly feel welcomed. I have been working as a work study for over a year now and love spending time at the studio and even the yoga retreats!!
Mariel Modern RE: Best studio and overall yoga community in the area! The teachers are knowledgeable and friendly, and the vibe is incredibly welcoming. Not to mention very unique studio space in the Distillery Building. Worth checking out, will probably end up being your new favorite studio!
brittani smith: I stumbled upon Radiant Yoga Boston a few years ago when I moved into the neighborhood. Immediately the studio felt like home. The space itself was so warm and cozy and the staff was so welcoming. Chanel, the owner, took time to introduce herself was always available for questions after her classes. After a year or so of being a part of the Radiant community and really honing my own practice (thanks Kaileen!!) I decided to enroll in Chanel's teacher training program.Fast forward to today....I cant imagine my life without Radiant and its amazing little community. I teach four days a week and its always the best of hour of my day!
Dianna Nelson: Since moving to Boston, Radiant Yoga has truly been my home away from home. Radiant Yoga is a community-based studio that is both warm and welcoming. The classes that are offered are the perfect blend of creative, accessible, and challenging. If you spend just a few minutes in the lobby between classes you will quickly understand why Radiant is such a special place. You will see yogis smiling, laughing, and chatting about their day. You will see teachers and students greet each other by name. You might see a new student walk in and notice that they are immediately welcomed into a conversation. Radiant Yoga is the type of yoga studio that I would recommend to everybody from the first time yogi to the yogi who has been practicing their whole life!

Mission Hill Yoga: what do users think?
Nikia Hackett: I really enjoy taking classes at Mission Hill Yoga! Cassi is really sweet and super supportive in the classes! It was challenging finding a yoga studio where I felt like I belonged. But Cassi and her team are friendly and will support you in pushing yourself in the class!
Er Mo: My husband and I have been coming here for almost 2 years now and LOVE it. Cassi has always been so warm and welcoming :) She is also a yoga goddess and has the best playlists!! If you’re thinking about trying yoga or want to check out a different studio I 10/10 recommend coming here.
Erika Lynn-Green: Absolutely love all the classes - such great workouts and great timing in the evenings
Emma E: I've been coming to the studio since 2019 and just completed my teacher training here in 2022! MHY has been such a welcoming community and an amazing space to learn about and deepen my practice. Cassi and all of the teachers create a safe, fun space to come in and learn, no matter what level of experience you're at. The classes are fun, dynamic, and can be both relaxing and challenging. Whatever you're looking for from your practice, you'll find it here! I can't recommend it enough.
Kelly Cope: I knew after my first class at MHY back in August of 2021 that this was the studio for me. The teachers here lead a variety of creative classes to meet you wherever you are along your yoga journey. They implement an accommodating class schedule too, so it’s easy to find a class to suit all of your needs! Cassandra has built a wonderful and welcoming space here at Mission Hill Yoga where students can feel safe and comfortable growing their practice alongside their new friends and neighbors!!
Anna Milliken: I moved to Mission Hill in 2018 and found the hidden gem of yoga studios, Mission Hill Yoga. Since then, I have moved all over the city, but keep coming back to this studio, no matter the commute! I cannot say enough amazing things about this studio. It is a wonderful place to take classes, feel connected to the community and the studio provides a space where you can give yourself a little love and deepen your practice! With the variety of classes, there is something for someone who is new to yoga or even the most advanced yogi. I always leave class feeling like I have learned something new! Cassi is amazing and she is so thoughtful of every member of the studio – thank you for all that you do! I absolutely love this studio and hope to continue taking the virtual classes when I move cross country this summer so I can stay connected to this community!!
Reno Torres: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityBest yoga studio in all of Boston!
Syringa H: I can't say enough good things about this studio. These guys got me through the pandemic sane. It's a wonderful place to take yoga classes. Many types of classes all super talented teachers. If your considering taking a class I highly recommend. I especially recommend taking a class with Cassandra or Marco. They are such fun and challenging teachers. Really high hygienic standards as well. Also if you have ever felt judged or intimidated at a yoga studio you will not feel that at mission hill yoga, everyone is so amazingly welcoming and helpful.
Adam den Bakker: Mission Hill Yoga is the perfect place for everyone who wishes explore yoga and what the practice can offer. The variety of classes & teachers make exploring your personal practice both an enjoyable & beneficial experience. Not to mention the community surrounding the studio is something special within itself. 10/10 would recommend to both those new to yoga & seasoned yogis
Sandy Holden: This is a welcoming and clean studio with a great variety of classes and instructors. I took my first yoga class ever here after years of wanting to try it and I felt like a part of the family right away. Their quick transition to online options during the COVID lockdowns kept my mind sane and body limber was much appreciated. I have since visited other studios and this is by far the best!
Corrie Evans: MHY is an amazing studio! All of the instructors are kind, experienced, and welcoming people. I have been coming here for a little over a year and I cannot imagine taking classes anywhere else. Each experience has been so warm and friendly. I’m very appreciative of all the time I’ve been able to spend here!
Olivia Chavez: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityMission Hill Yoga is the most professional and thoughtful yoga studio I have attended. All teachers are insightful and provide challenging classes for the advanced students, yet simple enough for beginners. The studio offers a zen and clean space for one to look inwards into their yoga practice.
Jen Xiong: Best yoga studio I’ve ever been to! Cassie is a fantastic instructor and cares about each of her students and really makes sure that each individual has a fruitful experience in each class. The classes are great for all levels and Cassie makes sure to explain various adjustments one can make to make a pose more or less challenging. The classes are something I truly look forward to every time I am able to attend! Mission Hill Yoga is a wonderful community that I am so lucky to have found and become a part of!! Absolutely recommend it!
George Mandell: I tried MHY on a recommendation from a friend over two years ago. I was new to yoga, 62 years young and had some recent challenging life experiences. I was attending classes at a studio closer to my home in Milton, but transitioned to MHY because of the superior overall experience. I have not looked back. I am grateful for all the caring classes and instructors, and the MHY community.2020 - 2021 has been challenging for all because of the pandemic. Cassi and her crew at MHY managed to rise to all challenges and continued to offer classes when I needed and appreciated them most. Including online ZOOM classes when COVID-19 was at its peak in Massachusetts. Honestly I got a little spoiled practicing in my living room, though in-person classes offer more benefits.Excellent experiences here. And my first yoga retreat as well, a week's long trip to a beautiful Greek island at a resort that had a magnificent yoga studio overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.Cassi and crew have nurtured my physical and spiritual growth and I have coupled that with a weight-loss program that helped me slim down.Always room for more growth, improvements in my life. I look forward to doing more inversions and poses while continuing to grow along my life path wherever that may lead me. But. Grateful for everything so far. So. A wonderful 2+ years of experiences. I highly recommend MHY.
Eunice Hurd: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI've been going to this gem of a studio since they opened. The studio is immaculate, the prices are reasonable, and the quality and variety of classes is perfect. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and professional. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Gabby Ro: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Joe Romanelli: Cassie runs an amazing yoga studio. In fact, this is the place that really got me into yoga. All the teachers I've had have been top notch. Definitely check them out you won't be disappointed.
Norma Soto Torres: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI simply LOVE going to the Mission Hill Yoga studio. It is my place to unwind and distress after a hard day at work. The teachers and the cozy place are phenomenal!! Cassandra you are the BEST! Namaste! 🧘🏻‍♀️
Casey Lyn: I LOVE this place! I'm so glad they came to meet the need for a yoga studio in our neighborhood a few years ago. There's a nice variety of classes available depending on what you're looking for/what level you're at (my favorite is SPA, which is a little lighter, but a nice escape from faster or tougher workouts). Cassandra and her crew of instructors are always willing to help you work on a posture or provide alternatives if you need. What they have to offer can help you build a nice well-rounded yoga practice if that's what you're looking for!
Chris Hastings: This yoga studio, it's instructors, and classes are all amazing! It is by far my favorite studio in the Boston area. In particular, instructor Cassandra is a must take. Her vibe, knowledge, class flow, and assists make her classes well worth taking...they are what hooked me on yoga. Additionally, the annual retreats are out of this world (well-organized, exotic, luxurious, and fun)!
Sheila H.: I have been practicing Yoga and Barre at Mission Hill Yoga for over two years and the experience has been incredible and, most importantly, it never gets old. It is a diverse, intimate studio with amazing, talented and dedicated instructors. Their expertise, patience and care in making sure you listen to your mind and body, without harm, is unwavering. The guidelines, precautions and the ability to practice outdoors or online during the height of the pandemic was thoughtful and a must needed stress reliever. Thank you Mission Hill Yoga for making it happen safely. Highly recommend!!

Down Under School of Yoga: what do users think?
Lydia P: The place needs improvement. Classes are good though
Irina Angel: I am writing to review Gregor Singleton. With all the ups and downs we are going through right now, I can’t think of a better investment in our well-being than signing up for the class with Gregor Singleton. I first met Gregor 15 years, and without a doubt, there is no one like Gregor when compared with the best yoga teachers!Every minute of a 90-minute class with Gregor counts. Starting with ever so gently, “let’s begin’, Gregor will take you through the steps of interconnected movements and breaths, signaling your mind and body to relax and begin to discover the return of your health and self-empowerment.Every word you hear comes with the wisdom of a master of yoga and the fluency and precision of academic scholar, in a way that only Gregor can craft, as his outstanding education in classic literature and a past career in Royal Arts shapes it.Gregor makes it easy for anyone to animate the most abstract ideas related to human perceptions and feelings, which is soothing and brings your sense of knowing how to move, breath, and be at any moment.Gregor’s lessons are often packed, so if you are even a few minutes late, you might end up squeezing your mat at the farthest space in the studio or the most visible spot. Regardless of where you land or how many students are around you, you will likely feel like the only student in the class. Gregor’s reassuring way of speaking coveys such a sense of trust, as if you are conversing with an old friend.Thank you, Gregor, for empowering the community through achieving our best health and self-realization!
Kara VanGuilder: My favorite yoga place in the Boston area. Very clean facility, awesome teachers, and overall very relaxing environment. I recommend it to everyone in the area! It’s been my saving grace in the pandemic.
Melissa Faulkner: Most knowledgeable teachers in Boston, and a calm, warm, peaceful environment thanks to wonderful faculty and desk staff. Clean beautiful studios. And they truly pay all their teachers a fair living wage - which is almost unheard of in the yoag community nationally. You can feel good about supporting this local woman-owned business while intentionally growing physically and mentally through their powerful classes.
Avi Kramer: I have had only amazing experiences at Down Under Yoga in Brookline. The manager, Kyle Morgan, has been a great yoga teacher, extremely generous, and kind with helping me get my yoga practice going and just being a good friend as someone new to the area. The heated classes are difficult and are too much for me (although a lot of people seem to love them) but I have learned a lot in the none heated flow classes, and appreciate this studio for what it has to offer.
Derek Wright: I like yogo and it strengthen your body and Down Under School and Core Power represent yogo and I support both.
Jeff Kauppi: As a long-time practitioner of Hot Power Vinyasa Yoga, I'm ambivalent about the Down Under School of Yoga. I've practiced for fifteen years at the Cambridge studio, and flowed through all the changes of the last few years. With “7 Schools of Down Under” it seems they are trying to be all things to all people. If you don't know what you're looking for in a yoga practice, this might be a good thing. But, if you're like me and know what you want, it's getting harder and harder to find a class that satisfies.I've visited all three studio locations, and everyone I've encountered working there has been very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. However, not all the teachers are ready for prime time. If you're a beginner I would recommend starting with Gregor's class. If you're a more advanced student, and can handle more nuanced instruction, go see Masaaki.I've researched other yoga studios, and taken classes at a number of them. Despite my reservations about Down Under School of Yoga, I will say this, they are the best game in town.
Kyra Chester-Paul: Having spent a decade studying various styles of yoga at numerous studios throughout the country, I felt like I found my yoga home at Down Under. The 200 hour teacher training systematized the body of knowledge I already had, demonstrated how much more I still have to learn, and pointed me in the direction I next want to take my practice. Very grateful to have been a student here.-Kyra Chester
Jim Kozubek: I have been doing yoga at the Brookline studio for about a year. The teachers at this studio are friendly and professional. They are pretty good at teaching, and comparatively as good as anywhere in the area.Recently the studio was having some discussion regarding the metoo movement. They were talking about adopting some strategies for students to opt out of contact with teachers. It is hard for me to believe that adult women are paralyzed or helpless in class, and even harder to believe that women do not already have the ability to express themselves without some sort of esoteric communication strategy supplied to them by the studio. In general this sort of thing strikes me as going against the grain of the women's liberation movement, since I already believe women to be competent to do this thinking on their own. Since there have apparently been no incidents at this studio, the whole discussion was awkward to begin with, and more in line with the cultural progressive currents than about the needs of students. In any case, no harm done.In truth, I don't understand where ideas like 'trigger warnings' and 'safe spaces' originate from. To me, there really are no safe spaces in the world, and it does a disservice to perpetuate the sort of illusions that we live in separate safe zones, since you are not only still not safe, but you have decided you are not going to adjust or learn anything new.Overall I can recommend this studio.
kari mar: great programming and instructors.
Drishti: Where’s the WELLNESS ? ☹️My first experience at Down Under Yoga was a BAD one. I was given a monthly pass as a birthday gift and was excited to try this studio, which is close to my home. Unfortunately, in the immediate weeks following my birthday I became ill with a nasty upper respiratory infection and was unable to utilize my monthly pass - but once ( before falling ill ). By the time I was well enough to practice again my monthly pass was about to expire, so I decided to reach out to the studio to let them know my situation, - in hopes of reconciling a fraction of the missed gift pass in the form of a future visit / class. I later received a voicemail & subsequently spoke with Holly from the Brookline studio, who informed me that I was welcomed to purchase more passes, if I’d like to return to the studios. The conversation felt transactional and I was put off. I expressed my disappointment at the way the situation was handled and wished her a good day.I expected more from a WELLNESS based business and it’s unfortunate that they are so focused on the latter.
Gabriela DeLeon: Really enjoyed the class and instructor! However, I didn’t appreciate the front desk service. I live in Roslindale so drove in and needed some quarters for the meter. I had other coins and wanted to exchange for quarters (meter only accepts quarters) and she said they can only give me $1 in quarters and are not allowed to accept coins in exchange for quarters. Just so difficult...if the exchange is of the same value what’s the big deal. If someone drives to your studio and you don’t have free parking and they’re looking to get quarters for meter to park and you have them it shouldn’t matter how many they need or if the exchange is in other coins. That’s all :)
Mary Gleason: People are nice. If you don’t have strong yoga skills don’t go! Very little corrections and minimal guidance to improve. I don’t have same relaxed feeling when I leave. It feels like yoga factory. If I didn’t have strong yoga basics I would be lost.
Iris: Clean, good vibes and the instructors I have come across are great. Good for all skill levels
Kevin Glynn: This place is top notch due to the fact that they have Patricia Walden on their teaching facility. She is a premier Iyengar teacher and direct disciple and devotee of BKS Iyengar. Patricia's teachers and students are a strong and serious group of practitioners. If you're serious about yoga and want to go beyond the asanas, come early to Patricia's classes to attend the talk. This often includes a deep philosophical discussion that complements the physical practice nicely. Usually, it is based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
Scott Jones: Excellent yoga studio. I've been attending the hot power yoga classes and every teacher has been excellent. A great mix of styles and personalities. The space is clean, easy to use, great facilities, showers. Online portal is quick and easy. The staff is friendly. And the other people there are friendly and not intimidating. I cannot recommend this studio enough. I practiced yoga 10 years ago and have come back to it recently. There are a lot of studios to choose from now, and this is by far my favorite.
Heather Wise: Avoid the instructors at Claire Este McDonald and Barbara Benagh at all costs. Claire in particular seems like a highly inexperienced teacher who criticizes her students practice, while being inexperienced herself, and provides yoga flows that don't incorporate therapeutic stretches, making her class dangerous for anyone prone to injury. Avoid at all costs. Barbara clearly has narcissistic personality disorder and thinks she is a god of yoga or something without any respect for other personal practice. All other teachers are great, especially Gregor Singleton-- highly recommend his class.
David Freeman: Not a fan of this studio, especially when it comes to heated practice. Extremely crowded classes and very poorly designed lobby. Also had a very unpleasant exchange with the owner, which was unfortunate. If you are interested in heated yoga, I would suggest the newly reopened Baptiste studio in Brookline. I recently went back to this location, and it is far superior to this one.
Libby Nicholaou: Great yoga studio. They offer a variety of classes ranging from very intense (sweaty) to restorative. The studio has a nice feel to it and the teachers are well seasoned and friendly. Recommend it 👍
Gary Martin: Tom yoga classes are great, all must attend.
Sarah Don: I LOVE this yoga studio. I was originally drawn in by the name since I'm from Australia but I haven't met any other Aussies yet.Everyone is so friendly and the studio itself is very clean and well kept. You can borrow the yoga mats and blocks and stuff so you don't have to lug your own around if you're walking straight from work. The instructors are absolutely fantastic - I've enjoyed every class I've taken so far. There are so many different instructors and types of yoga to choose from.Newcomers can pay $30 for 30 days of unlimited yoga which really allowed me to explore the classes and decide not only if I liked the studio, but also if I liked yoga and wanted to pursue it.

SWETSTUDIO®: what do users think?
nivya sharma: I went for my first class last weekend. It was absolutely magical and worked wonders for my body and mind alike. I was a bit nervous initially, thinking about transitioning from a yoga mat to the silk but the instructor made it a cakewalk for me. She was clear in her instructions, paid attention to individual person's posture and helped me multiple times in correcting my postures. I felt confident after the class, gonna take next class very soon. Highly recommended for someone willing to take Yoga experience to a higher level.
Gabrielle Mele-Algus: This is one of the most fun workouts!! I just started a month ago but make sure that I go at least 2-3 times a week. There is a huge range of classes and none have disappointed me. I love that you can vary what type of class you can take all while still being in the hammock! In addition, one thing I didn’t expect would be the confidence boost you also get every time you enter class and go in the hammock. I definitely recommend to all!!!
Julia Adler: Sil and Veronika are so supportive and encouraging which makes each class a pleasure. The one-on-one lessons were spot on and enabled me to transition right into the aerial pilates and yoga classes with ease. I'm hooked!
Montana Martin: ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE‼️The aerial yoga is different than just the typical yoga and I enjoy myself in every class I've attended. Doing the different stretches and flexes learning your body while hearing their soft voice guiding you is soo relaxing. Veronica is awesome (i wish i could pack her voice in my pocket lol) I can't wait to become a advanced flyer with her... You challenge yourself and free your mind all in one. MY GO TO SPOT ❣️ Can't wait for class with Asia today 🧘🏽‍♀️.
Anna Neufeld: Really fun class. Wonderful atmosphere. If you have never tried aerial yoga this is the place to do it. There intro special is really affordable.
Megan Blomberg: Amazing instructors and program! Coming out of a sedentary period throughout COVID and aerial yoga has been a perfect way to loosen up the body again and get my muscles moving! Highly recommended!
Nzingha Rawlins: I attended the Beginner’s Aerial class with Asia and it was AHMAZING!I felt so supported throughout the class. Asia is such a purposeful and spirited instructor. I was able to truly relax into the process, and let go of my fears of trying something brand new. Now, I’m back for another session. I think aerial yoga is my new thang :-)I HIGHLY recommend this class to anyone. Especially if you are working on being more courageous or more fearless ❤️
Kelly Mackey: I joined Swet a few months ago right before moving out of the neighborhood and only wish I had tried it sooner! I've continued going because of how much I like it. The environment is incredibly welcoming. The instructors are friendly and knowledgable. It is small enough that you start seeing familiar faces after a few visits and get individual attention and assistance when needed. I've primarily taken the row classes. They are well run, challenging, and the time flies. I've tried a few aerial yoga classes as well, which is brand new to me. The beginner classes are a great introduction. The instructors really make sure everyone is comfortable. I highly recommend trying it out!
Pernille Bülow: I have attended SWET studio's classes for the last year, and I think it's fair to say that I am close to addicted. I love the variety of the classes, and the instructors are fantastic. Do you want to relax and stretch, there is a class for you. Do you want high intensity cardio, there is a class for you. Do you want to build up your beach body with muscles you didn't know could inhabit your body, there is a class for you.
Andrew Brancato: This place is top notch. As a barber with lower back pain i always walk out of this place feeling brand new. Its always clean and you can really tell they take pride in what they do.
David K.: I went to the intro aerial class. Veronica was great! I plan on returning soon.
Nawal: I started at this studio about three weeks ago. I have scoliosis and thought it would be a great way to stretch my back and make it stronger. Initially it was a bit difficult for me as I wasn't used to the movements but now I'm amazed by what my body can do. In just five classes my hips have loosened up and I can finally do some of the more difficult movements. I believe that these classes have helped with my therapies as well by increasing flexibility and strengthening the muscles. I have no doubt that anyone looking for a fun way to workout will enjoy this studio but to find a place where you can alsofind solutions to bad posture, lack of flexibility or generally lack of upper body strength while still have fun is difficult. Thank you so much for helping me in my journey to better health!
Suzanne Bluejacket: I just started coming back to Swet after being away for a while because of the pandemic. The air quality and very high ceilings makes me feel very comfortable. It’s only been a few weeks and I already notice my posture has improved from years of working at my computer. I also have noticed that the tightness in my lower back and neck is better. Best of all, it is my favorite form of exercise. I look forward to the light stretch and fun of hanging upside down that makes me feel like I’m doing something good for my body. There’s also a mindfulness component that helps me rebalance and focus on myself so I can set personal goals to stay in balance. I’m definitely not flexible but I love how every level of fitness can take the classes. I drive 45 minutes each way and it’s so worth it. Thanks for being a great place and for the best instructors of any fitness minded center. Thanks so much, Suzanne
Racheal Adeoti: Their beginner class was so much fun. I’m hooked and would definitely go again. I recommend taking a stressed out friend :)
J S: SWET studio is the best. Fun, flexibility and strength all at the same time. It motivates me to work out more. Years of back pain disappeared.
Aasem Alhenaki (Dr. Aasem): Cute studio, friendly staff. I loved the aerial yoga, fresh and innovative movements. Definitely recommend checking it out.
Annapurna Modi: I tried the arial beginner and meditation restore. I was skeptical about the risk but when i tried i got to know it is guided and very well explained. Super fun and exciting. Can't wait to practice again.
Michelle Block: I would recommend aerial yoga at Swetstudio to anyone looking to try something new- if you’ve done yoga before, it adds a fun new dimension! At Swetstudio the staff is friendly and welcoming, safety protocols are followed (both covid and general), and the instructors are experienced and knowledgeable. I look forward to returning soon for another class!
Sacha Sergent: Having been to dozens of fitness studios in Boston, SWET remains my #1 favorite. Walking through the South End to get there is a joy, and being in the studio is an incredible experience each time. All of the instructors are professional and knowledgeable, and somehow still surprise you with each class. The variety of classes they offer also keeps you on your toes!Aerial hammocks provide a method of movement that is truly unique in the way it allows you to move your body. The silk allows you to access muscle groups you are mostly unable to access or at least unable to access in such depth that you walk out of each class feeling renewed and open.10/10 experiences at SWET, I highly highly recommend!
Phung Vuong: I love aerial yoga and SwetStudio exceed my expectations! The instructors are so kind and helpful. They will take the time to help you with your movements and make you feel comfortable before moving to the next step. I felt like I have progressed so much after just a few classes! Also, parking is easy to find in this location, which is a plus for me.

East Side Yoga and Fitness: what do users think?
Maggie Cook: I started going to Eastside Yoga a couple weeks ago and I’m hooked. Angela’s Yoga Sculpt class is INCREDIBLE! A challenging mix of flow, cardio, and weights that she expertly guides through to make it approachable for all levels (and truly makes it fun with awesome music). The class flies by and you leave with the best energy. Angela is so welcoming and kind, and the studio itself is beautiful and spacious. I can’t wait to try more classes!
Anna Kokos: East Side Yoga has been my saving grace the last two years. The group classes are wonderful and Andrea is an incredible personal trainer. Her expertise make her one of the best in the business! I always leave the studio happier and with such positive energy. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Angela P: Andrea the owner is amazing, she fosters a great community in Southie through ESYF and her classes are inclusive for all levels of fitness. I started going with my roommate when we could barely hold a plank and through regularly attending her sculpt classes, we were able to build up our muscle strength and cardio endurance. Andrea truly cares about her patrons and is always willing to talk through any questions or just life with her students.Ashley Powers who teaches flow is also incredible, she's always so kind and inspiring during her classes. She manages to make the flow both spiritual and challenging for the mind.I will also say, this studio has AMAZING music and if you're the kind of person that needs music to get through a workout you will not be disappointed.
Chelsea Downer: It was my first time at East Side Yoga. I have taken flow classes before (not in a while and at other establishments) but I wanted to try the Yoga Sculpt Express class with Andrea. It was SO amazing. Although I was rusty with some of the cues and poses, Andrea was patient while also keeping me motivated and keeping the flow of the class. It was the best workout class I have taken in a while. Cardio, body weight, light weights and stretching all incorporated for an invigorating, full body workout. I can't wait to make this apart of my weekly workout regime!! Thank you, Andrea!!
John Lepore: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThis is the best yoga studio that I have been to in Boston.
John Uriostegui: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityKeely was awesome. Studio is clean and comfy. Great flow class. Nice changing room with plenty of parking.

Jane Bunn: I highly recommend East Side Yoga to anyone who is looking for an awesome workout, a clean studio, and helpful instructors. The monthly passes are the way to go if you go more than 3x a week!
Karin Wolok: This studio is amazing!!! I didn't know what to expect when coming here... Seemed like there was a nice amount of morning variety daily, so I gave it a shot. It's so much better than I imagined! It's a complete fitness routine. routine. strength, endurance, flexibility. I feel myself getting stronger after every class. Some of the classes, like yoga sculpt and athlete will get you sweaty... It's like a solid cleanse and a workout. 3
Nicol Katarousky: Over all I have had such an amazing experience !!! The girls are great and really cater to individuals !! I lost over 50 pounds with classes over a 6month period with tone and definition !!! Truly excited to see if prenatal yoga is going to be added to her class schedule !!
