vicente brandao: I'm a long time customer, and it's always been a good service regardless who's at the counter.
Derek Furman: It's actually a fairly shabby place that smells like any garage. The inventory on the shelves was sparse but it was the end of the day on a Friday the employees were cool but sort of cool like you know your buddies. They were very Frank and at first they were annoyed because I needed a part looked up but they quickly changed their tune as people do with me because I am affable. They didn't have what I wanted so it was another waste of time but I think if you want some spark plugs in oil that's a place to go I mean it doesn't have to be Tiffany's to sell you spark plugs and oil. +1 Star responded to review thank you.
Jonathan Kamens: 1. Didn't have the bulb I needed in stock.2. Sold me an LED version of the bulb instead, for like 5x the price, and claimed it would work fine with my car.3. When I got home I saw that the package said "for off-road use only", so they should not have sold it to me and claimed I could use it in my car!4. I tried it anyway and it didn't work in my car.5. I went back to the store, had to tell the story to two different people, the second of whom made me stand there for five minutes while he typed on his computer before even listening to the story.6. After telling the story to that person he said I would have to come back tomorrow for a refund because only the manager could authorize it and he wasn't there.Garbage service in every way start to finish.

Robert Carkhuff: The guy working inside is absolutely horrible. I tried returning a headlight I never used. I still had my receipt and everything the African American gentleman was very rude and wouldn’t take my return. Will never use advance auto parts again they always mess up my orders
Bad review coming: Stop cranking your music at the end of the shift. Just leave work. People live in the neighborhood and you’re a nuisance.

J fam: Experience 1: they sold me a new car battery that I have to jump start every week, in retrospect, my old car battery would have worked just as fine with a jump starter.Experience 2: the website and store advertises they open at 7.30 am from Monday to Friday, today the store hasn't opened until 8 am I have waited for 20 mins outside the door already
Fernando Vargas: The store in Allston is clean and organized the stuff are very nice and attentive, if you buy an item there they helped you to instal it, some times I have and issue with the payment station, it is too old.

hello there: For car stuff, they're fine. But I have been in there over the past week and their staff is not wearing masks, and if you ask them to put on a mask, they do it grudgingly or not at all. Anthony the manager seems like a nice guy but Anthony-- it's a law in Boston, so please supervise your staff to wear a mask. It's not just the law but it's also caring about the people who walk in the door. Thanks.

AutoZone does it for no charge, saved us from spending $200 on a new battery. People should definitely know about that, get your systems checked out, takes 5 minutes.

Michele Scalesse: Great guys here, all friendly knowledgeable it's a father and son operation which I love. Funny I enjoy going there. If they don't have something you may need and they don't have the go above and beyond
Carlito’s way: I have dealt with this place 3 times and all 3 items purchased were no good, not working. The first item was a power window tracker with motor and when installed it didnt work. The second item was a condenser fan when installed it didnt work. The 3rd item was an alternator, when installed it also didnt work. All 3 times when attempeted to be retuned i was being treated with nasty attitudes and told i can swap it but no money back. I shouldnt have to keep paying my mechanic to put the part in then pay to take it back off to put another part back on. All they have to do is test it. They shouldnt assume that the part works just because it looks ok. today 7/28/2020 i asked for the part to be exchanged and the guy from the used auto part says to me. “Ill do you the favor on switching the part because its electric and they dont exchange any electric parts. I PURCHASED THE PART 7/27/2020 not even 24h has passed so i should get money or a different part without headaches. Never will i deal with them again... I DONT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL.

Justin Koo: I'm glad this place isn't one of those sketchy businesses that tries to scam me because it saved me a fair amount of time.The prices were quite fair and they seem to want customer loyalty over simple money. I told the guy over phone that my range was $140-160 for the rim but he said it'll only cost $90 + tax. That speaks a lot about this place.Friendly people too. If I need any more used parts, I'll definitely come back here.

I bought ac compressor for $90 and spent $300 in labor to replaced and then come to know that compressor is not working. I went back to j and a give them my car compressor and ask for refund and they told me that they need their compressor for refund. I told them that both compressor r not working so what’s a difference. I don’t wanna spent $300 again to take out their compressor to get $90 as refund. In short they don’t want to give my money back. And I found one more guy over there with same problem. Then I feel that these guys r robbers. Selling not working junk part as used. Don’t go there to buy used part. At least not for the ac compressor
